Everyone is doing rather well to earn the points needed to qualify for Duel Breakers, but not everyone is really playing fair. One example is Tasu Torigon, the sneak that will win by any means necessary. In fact, he had an entire crowd eating in the palm of his hands with a sorrowful story. His opponent couldn't concentrate as everyone was in tears.

"Oh my... This is just so sad." M.C. said as he was working at another tournament, but he was crying like everyone else. "We have a good friend in Tasu dueling for the sake of his friend."

"Please stop, man."

"I'm sorry, but you must understand. When sweet little Tim said "Once the last petal of the cherry blossoms fall, I know my time will end" was when I made my promise. I promise I would win for him." Tasu said.

"I... I can't do it. I surrender." His opponent cried as he dropped to his knees.

"Tasu kept his promise! He's walking away as the winner!" M.C. announced as Tasu was declared the winner. "Do you hear that Timmy?! He kept his promise and won!"

"Thank you! Tiny Tim from the Christmas Carol would greatly appreciate it!" Tasu said as he walked out of there.

"Give my best to Tiny Tim! Wait?! Tiny Tim from the Christmas Carol?!" M.C. said as he and the rest of the crowd realized that they all just got played like fiddles. "You were talking about the character from the most famous Christmas story?! Are you kidding me?!" Everyone was disgusted at Tasu for using one of the most memorable stories for something so devious.

"What a bunch of suckers!" Tasu said as he wasn't even ashamed of what he did. "Who cares how you win? The point is that I got the points." He said as he looked over his progress. "I'll be in Duel Battlers soon with these points. Of course, looks like there'll be some competition." He said as he looked over stats thanks to his DPA. "Still, I bet I could trick all of them and... What?!" He stopped when he spotted Yukina and how well she was doing. "Yukina Osama! Ergh! I can't stand that girl with her "honor" and "fairness" when it comes to dueling. If only I had more power, I would take her down. I'll get her one day!" He swore as he was out for power. "There must be a way to get better cards that will shut her and her deck down."

"I'm on my way back, Diego. So far, there's been no sign of any real talent." In a twisted sense of fortune for Tasu, he looked across the street and spotted Henry himself.

'That's Henry! He won the Survival Duel, and is with the Black Ace.' Tasu thought as he recognized him. 'From what I heard, Yukina can't stand them.' Tasu saw this as an opportunity for him to gain the power he wants.

...

The Black Ace

Diego is always plotting something. While Duel Battlers is still some time away, he was working on another project of his. The only thing that was left was for him to test it.

"I'm back!" Henry called as he entered his office.

"I can see that." Diego said.

"I didn't find anyone we could really use." Henry said.

"Oh? So who is that behind you?" Diego said.

"Who?" Henry questioned.

"Me!" Henry turned around and was met with Tasu himself. "Nice to meet you.

"Who are you?!" Henry said.

"What is it that you want?" Diego questioned.

"My name is Tasu, and what I want is to join the Black Ace." Tasu said as he walked over to Diego. "I heard that Yukina's not a big fan of yours and that works for me. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, right?" He claimed with Diego finding this interesting.

"And what is it that you think of Yukina?" Diego questioned.

"I can't stand her, but I don't have what it takes to beat her. At least not with what I have now. That's why I'm here." Tasu said as he took his deck and slammed it against the desk. "Give me power!" Tasu's skills might be questionable, but this does work for him.

"Very well. You just might be what we need to work on a project of mine." Diego said as he took Tasu's offer. Diego brought Tasu and Henry to a different part of the building with the inside looking like some sort of assembly line.

"What is this?" Henry questioned.

"It's our latest project called the Deck Assembler." Diego claimed. "Rather than going through the trouble of assembling your deck yourself, this machine can build it for you. It can print a variety of cards and build a deck based on your design." He said as he was inputting some data for a new deck and started running.

"This thing can really build a whole brand new deck for me?" Tasu questioned.

"Just wait and see." Diego said as Tasu's new deck was being assembled. Soon, a whole brand new deck emerged out the machine. "Here we go. I designed your deck to your needs and I believe the type known as the Dark Scorpion deck best suits you."

"Dark Scorpion deck? I think I like the sound of that." Tasu claimed as he took it.

"I'm sure you want to take on Yukina, but I think you should give your new deck a test run first." Diego said. "It's not just Yukina we're weary of, but it's also her friends. Go ahead and test it on one of them before moving to the main appetizer." He said as he used his computer to look over some data. "We last heard that her friend Felix was heading to Goldrod Town. I think he would be perfect to test your new deck on."

"Sounds good to me." Tasu said as he could just feel how much stronger his new deck is. He can't wait to try it out.

...

Goldrod Town

Just as Diego said, Felix was passing through a small town. Felix has been doing rather well himself in getting points with him moving from one town to the next and winning duel after duel.

"This seems like a quaint place. It's so peaceful." Felix said as he enjoyed the peace and quiet. Sadly, it didn't last long as he heard crying going on. He looked ahead and spotted a little kid surrounded by friends with him crying. "Hey!" Felix called as he hurried over. "What's wrong? Did something happen?"

"A mean guy challenged me to a duel and I lost. When I did, he took my favorite card." The kid said.

"That really happened? Hold on... That sounds familiar." Felix said as he had an idea as to who did this. Just then, he heard screaming going on and it wasn't that far. When Felix heard that, he moved as fast as he could. Once he got to the source of the screaming, he saw another duelist lost a duel.

"No! That's one of my favorite cards! You can't take that!"

"I just did." Felix saw he was right when he saw that it was Tasu behind all of this.

"Tasu Torigon! I knew it was you!" Felix called and got his attention.

"Felix! Good to see you again!" Tasu said.

"Too bad I can't say the same." Felix said. "I see you're still up to your old tricks. Haven't you learned your lesson yet?"

"Not really, but it's been much fun trying out my new Dark Scorpion deck." Tasu said as he showed it off to Felix.

"You have a new deck?" Felix questioned as he almost couldn't believe it. "Is it made out of the cards you stole?"

"Close, but not exactly. The Black Ace gave it to me." Tasu said.

"The Black Ace?! Don't tell me you join them!" Felix said as he couldn't believe Tasu would drop that low.

"That's right. I've been trying it out while racking in the points and gaining new cards." Tasu said. "What luck that you came here because you're just the guy I really want to try my new deck on. It's even better than my old one. What do you say you get a demonstration, Felix? Want to see what it's made of." Felix knew fully well that Tasu was a creep that would do anything to win, but he can't let Tasu have his way.

"Fine. I'll take you." Felix accepted as he dropped his bag. "Once I beat you, I'm taking back all the cards you stole."

"I doubt it. Your gladiators aren't strong enough to take on these thieves." Tasu said as they both got their duel disks ready to go for this showdown.

"Let's duel!" They both said and started their duel with 4000LP.

"I'll start this duel." Felix said as he went first. "I'll start by summoning Gladiator Beast Andal to the field!" Felix summoned out his bear-like warrior as it emerged with 1900atk points. "Next, I place four face-downs!"

"Four face-downs?!" Tasu said.

"I know how you work. You try to get rid of your opponents cards before they even use them. It won't work with me." Felix said.

"We'll see about that. It's my turn!" Tasu said as he drew his first card. "I'll start by playing Pot of Greed! That lets me draw two more cards." He said as he drew two more cards. "I'm also going to activate Reinforcement of the Army! This will allow me to add Don Zaloog to my hand!" He said as he took another card. "Next, I'm going to activate Trap Trading! By sending a trap in my deck to the graveyard, I can add another to my hand. The one I want is Dark Scorpion Combination." He said as he discarded one trap and took the trap he wanted. Felix didn't like where this was going. "Now I've got all that I need."

"Here goes." Felix said as he braced himself.

"I summon Don Zaloog to the field!" Tasu said as he summoned out his monster with it having 1400atk points. "Now that I have him on the field, I can play Mustering of the Dark Scorpions to summon the other four in my hand! Here they come! Chick the Yellow, Cliff the Trap Remover, Meanae the Thorn, and Gorg the Strong!" He summoned out four monsters at once with them having 1000, 1200, 1000, and 1800atk points. "Now that I have all five of them, you're in real trouble."

"My Andal is still stronger." Felix said.

"That won't matter soon enough. I activate Trap Upgrade! I pay 1000LP to activate a trap from my hand!" Tasu said as his life points dropped to 3000. "I can't use any other spell or traps once I use this, but I don't need it. I can now use Dark Scorpion Combination!" He said as he could now play a trap. "Now, all five of them can attack you directly!"

"What?!" Felix said as he didn't expect that. All five of Tasu's monsters attacked Felix directly and caused some damage to him.

"You might only lose 400LP for each one, but that's just fine." Tasu said as Felix's life points dropped down to 2000. "Since each one of them dealt damage, they have a variety of effects to use. "First, Chick is going to send your bear back to your hand!" He said as Chick used his mallet and smashed Andal back to Felix's hand. "Second, Cliff and Don have the same affect. You send two cards from your deck to the graveyard for each one." Felix had no choice as he got rid of four of his cards, three of them being his beasts. "Gore sends one more card from your deck to the graveyard." Felix hated it, but he discarded another card. "Finally, Meanae allows me to take a Dark Scorpion card in my graveyard and add it to my hand such as Dark Scorpion Combination." He said as he took his trap back. "I'll place one face-down and will finish you on my next turn."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that, Tasu." Felix claimed.

"Oh please. These combinations will destroy your deck." Tasu claimed.

"But I still have cards to play. Just watch!" Felix said as he drew his next card. "First, I activate Gladiator's Return! By returning the three Gladiator Beast's you made me discard to my deck, I can draw one card." He said as he took his three cards back to his deck and drew one card. "Next, I'm activating Jar of Greed to draw one more!" He said as he activated one of his traps and drew another card.

"Draw all the cards you want. They won't help." Tasu mocked.

"It's a little early for you to get cocky." Felix said. "I now summon Andal!" He said as Andal came back on the field. "I'm also going to activate Gladiator Beast's Comeback spell! This allows me to special summon Gladiator Beast Bestiari!" He summoned out another beast as it flew out with 1500atk points. "Since a Gladiator Beast was special summoned, I'm also activating my Double Team trap to bring out a third Gladiator Beast! Gladiator Beast Laquari!" Laquari emerged on the field with him having 1800atk points. "Now that he's on the field, I'm activating my Gladiator Beast Charge trap! Since I have two Gladiator Beasts, I can get rid of three of your monsters!" Felix claimed as his beasts unleashed some power and destroyed Chick, Gore, and Don Zaloog. That didn't go the way Tasu liked. "Now, I'll fuse Andal and Bestiari together!"

"What?! You can fuse them just like that?!" Tasu said.

"That's right!" Felix said as his monsters began to fuse. "I fusion summon Gladiator Beast Gyzarus!" Felix summoned out a new Gladiator Beast as it emerged with 2600atk points. "And when he is summoned, I can destroy two of your cards!" Gyzarus unleashed feather-like projectiles and blasted Cliff and Meanae as they were destroyed as well.

"You've got to be kidding me!" Tasu said.

"And it's about to get worse for you once I activate Indomitable Gladiator Beast!" Felix said as he activated his last face-down. "That gives him 500atk points and it's just enough to finish this!" Gyzarus gained more power as it increased to 3100. "It's over Tasu! Attack him directly and end this!" Tasu was in trouble now as Gyzarus unleashed the same attack and blasted Tasu with his life points dropping all the way to zero.

"No! How could I lose with my new deck?!" Tasu said.

"Well, you did. A creep like you has no chance of ever winning." Felix said. "Besides, a deck without heart can only get you so far.

"I'll show you! Next time you see me, you better run in the opposite direction!" Tasu warned and just took off. It seemed like his new deck isn't all it's cracked up to be.

...

Diego

"Interesting... Not bad..." Diego said as he used his computer and was looking over the stats Tasu gained from his new deck.

"What are you looking at?" Henry asked.

"The status of the new deck that was built thanks to our machine and the wins Tasu gained from it. They're a little better than I anticipated." Diego said. "With this new machine, we just might be able to construct very powerful decks." With a machine like that at his disposal, there's no telling what kind of duelists Diego can create now.

...

Tasu

"Unbelievable! A new deck and I still lose to one of Yukina's pathetic friends." Tasu grumbled as he was on his way. "I'll get them for this!"

"There he is! Get him!" Tasu looked behind him and saw all the guys who he beat and stole their cards from. They all looked mad and Tasu appears to be in real trouble now. It seems that Tasu still has a lot to learn and keeps learning the hard way.
