He had done so many terrible things, all in the name of equality, but somewhere down the line, the reason for his battles was lost to him. He knew the reason why he began the war, but when he lost sight of his goal of reform was unknown to him. It was battle after battle, fight after fight, the war dragged on, and when the situation grew for his cause, he would do things he never thought he would do in his long life. Engineering plagues to wipe out millions, refining toxic materials to be made into chemical weapons, sacrificing his own followers for his own gain, and so many other atrocities...

He had become something worse than what he original fought against. Something that he had no doubt his younger self would rise up against.

How far the once nameless miner from Nova Point turn Gladiator of Kaon had fallen...

"Your match is about to start," informed an arena staff member.

Megatron barely acknowledged the attendant, only grunting as he had been sitting in the same spot on a bench for almost half an hour. Just staring at a chest that contained something he was all too familiar with.

Getting off the bench, the old gladiator knelt down and opened the chest. Inside was his armor, or the armor that Unicron forged from his corpse at the bottom of Earth's sea. When he came here, he was changed from being a Cybertronian, to being a human. For a moment, he thought he was free from the torment of the Chaos Bringer.

Oh how wrong he was.

Wordlessly, he began putting on his armor, ignoring the burning her felt grow in his chest.

"You believe you can neglect the one who returned you to life?" Demanded a hallucination of Unicron, standing in the doorway. "Shut me out as much as you like, it will never change what you have done."

The former master of the Decepticons just continued to ignore the hallucination as he kept putting on his armor. What was taunting him wasn't real, just a figment of his guilt lidded imagination.

"You believe you can absolve yourself of your past sins by listening to the Prime now? You delude yourself," stated Unicron, "You will never change your nature."

Megatron growled as he locked his gauntlet onto his wrist. The final pieces of his armor on as he looked down at the final object in the chest. An eerie violet glow pulsed from the container.

"You will always be a destroyer, just like me." Declared the Incarnation of Chaos as Megatron drew the Dark Star Saber from the chest. The weapon pulsing with darkness as Dark Energon flowed across its blade.

"I know," replied Megatron, acknowledging the hallucination as he stood up and sheathed the blade across his back, "But I will never be your destroyer."

With that, Megatron walked through the hallucination and towards the arena. Where his opponent waited for him.

To Be Written... probably.
