Authors Note- And here I am, back again with yet another chapter of An Unlikely Friendship. As you can gather I only own Audrey and the plot. Everything else belongs to Hasbro. Now that we got that out of the way, here is Chapter Six. I hope you enjoy.

Finally! Miko thought, as she looked up as the school bell rang. Signaling the end of the day. A time Miko always looked forward to. Because that meant she would be spending time with one of her utmost favorite people, at her favorite place.

"Bulkhead!" Miko greeted as she jumped into his passenger seat, the moment she saw him. "Did you miss me?" she asked.

Bulkhead's only answer was a chuckle, as the wrecker turned up the volume to the newest Slash Monkey album Miko had just got as they drove to the base. And as they drove Miko couldn't help but feel like something was going to happen, hell, she had been feeling like this all day from the moment she woke up to the moment she got to school. She didn't know what it was, but whatever it was, good or bad she was certain that Bulkhead would take care of it. But for now, Miko bit down on her bottom lip as she turned the volume up even more, almost drowning out Bulkhead's voice. This went on for the duration of the ride, until Bulkhead turned it down as he they reached the base. Arcee and Bumblebee close behind.

And Miko had recalled that Ratchet once complained about their music blasting, the last time they were there. Leaning back in her seat, she watched as the base drew close, her hands behind her head. She wondered what today would hold, would the Autobots be duking it out with the Decepticons once again? Miko hoped so, and she hoped she would be able to tag along like she always did. Just to add a few more pictures to her collection. Maybe if she was lucky he would get a picture of Bulkhead beating the scrap out of Breakdown. Oh, who was she kidding? Picture or not she always loved it when Bulkhead beat the scrap out of the Decepticon. She loved it even more when Breakdown eventually turned tail, and took off like the coward she always knew him as. Breakdown was no match for Bulkhead-

"WHOA!" Miko cried out, as Bulkhead came to an abrupt stop. The moment they entered the base. His tires screeching, and Miko was more than a little glad she had been wearing her seatbelt, or she would have been kissing the dashboard. "What was that about?" She asked.

However, the moment those words escaped her mouth she peered out the window. Honey colored eyes widening. As standing before them was Breakdown himself. The blue Decepticon looked in their direction as Miko slowly opened her door, her gaze fixed on Breakdown. As Bulkhead let out a low, animalistic growl. Miko didn't utter a word, none of them did, as the rest of the Autobots transformed, all optics and blasters trained on the Decepticon.

As the kids ducked behind their guardians. Miko peeking out from behind Bulkhead's leg, and continued to stare up at Breakdown.

"What is he doing here?" She heard Bulkhead growl out, as the green wrecker took a few steps towards Breakdown.

Breakdown tensed, a scowl on his faceplate, as he glared at his long time rival. That is until Optimus' stepped in between them.

"Enough!" The Autobot leader barked, causing all eyes to land on him.

"Optimus, what's the big idea?" Arcee asked, stepping forward. "Why is he here?"

Breakdown seemed to look somewhat uncomfortable, as he took a couple steps back. To Miko he seemed to look sheepish, as he looked down at his feet. Had Megatron kicked Breakdown to the curb after he had been kidnapped by MECH? She honestly would put it past him if he did, Megatron didn't really seem like the type to care for those underneath him. But despite that, Miko thought, shooting the bulky Decepticon a glare as she listened to Optimus, that didn't mean he was welcome here. Let him find his own way. Hell, he could find some junkyard to rust away in for all Miko cared.

Looking up at her guardian she could see that Bulkhead never took his optics off of Breakdown, and neither did Breakdown. It seemed, she mused, as she stepped out from behind Bulkhead, and climbed the stairs to the mezzanine, eyes never leaving Breakdown as she did. And who was this? Her gaze then settled on the blonde woman standing on the mezzanine eyes glued to the scene before her, as Jack and Raf joined Miko. All of them looking to the newcomer. Just as the newcomer turned to them, and blinked, confusion etched on her face as she looked at them.

In the few short hours Audrey had spent in the silo that was the Autobots base she had learned so much. One of them was the war between two alien species were fighting their war on Earth. A war she was now apart of thanks to Breakdown. And now she discovered something new. These Autobots had obviously kidnapped children! She looked to the teen girl with the pink in her hair and pigtails. Then the taller of the two boys as he moved to join the girl. Finally, they were joined by a smaller boy. And unless Audrey was completely mistaken looked to be in grade school. Had the Autobots snatched up these kids when they least expected it? Or what there something else going on?

"Who are you?" The older of the two boy asked.

"I-I'm Audrey." She said, at this point she was beginning to feel the start of a really nasty headache coming now, more than ever she wanted to go home and lie down.

"And how did you get here, Audrey?" the girl asked.

Saying nothing she only pointed at Breakdown. All three kids looked to him, dark looks crossing over their face as they did.

"Snatched me up when I was just minding my own business." She told them.

Her gaze then looking to the three Autobots that were listening to Optimus as the Autobot leader took his time explaining thing to his troops.

"That blows." The older boy said. "But it kind of sounds like us, well, me and Raf." The boy gestured to the smaller boy. "We kinda stumbled across the Autobots by chance, where as someone else, however..." he trailed off, jerking his thumb in the girls direction. "Had to stick her nose into things, and ended up getting involved."

"And I don't regret it one bit!" The girl said, fists clenched. "Being with Bulkhead and the Autobots is the best thing that could have happened."

So Audrey stood there as they spoke, piecing it all together, blinking a few times. These kids chose to remain involved by their own choice? Seriously?! "Do your parents know?" she asked, glaring at the Autobots as the conversation died down. Noting that the one called Bulkhead was still scowling at Breakdown.

"Well, my mom knows about the Autobots, but in all honesty we got to keep these guys a secret." The older boy spoke.

"But where are our manners?" The girl cut in, stepping forward. "I'm Miko, this it Jack." Miko said, jerking her head in the older boys direction.

"And I'm Raf." The younger boy spoke.

Audrey shook their hands in turn before looking to the Autobots once more. "So," she spoke. "I know Optimus, Breakdown, and Ratchet. Who are the others?"

"Well, the big green wrecking machine is Bulkhead. You'll soon find out why he and Bulkhead don't really get along." Miko said. "And he's my guardian and best friend."

"The blue one is Arcee, she's my guardian." Jack spoke, as Arcee looked to them, seeming surprised when her optics settled on Audrey for the first time.

"And that one is Bumblebee, he's with me." Raf said, as the yellow Autobot joined Arcee at the mezzanine. A curious look on Bumblebee's optics.

All the while Bulkhead stood off to one side, his optics glued on Breakdown. Why was this happening? More importantly why was this happening to him?" Wasn't it bad enough that every time he was on a mission with his fellow Autobots he had to deal with Breakdown? And now his arch rival was in his base staring at him. Gritting his denta Bulkhead walked down the hall. Miko calling after him, telling him to come meet the new girl. But, Bulkhead simply ignored her as he made his way outside. He needed to be alone.

Optimus had told him that Breakdown had deserted the 'Cons, and he had explained to them how he had made the questionable decision to allow Breakdown to join, well, questionable in Bulkhead's optics. Optimus was making a mistake, Bulkhead knew it was only a matter of time before Breakdown betrayed them. Before he lead the Decepticons here. And as Bulkhead thought that he thought of Miko, and the rest of the kids, if Breakdown did betray them they would be in danger. And Bulkhead wasn't about to let that happen. Optics narrowed Optimus might have decided to let him stay. But Bulkhead was going to make certain that Breakdown left them alone. After all, he knew full well that someone like Breakdown could never truly redeem himself.

Once a 'Con always a 'Con. Nodding to himself Bulkhead looked up at the sky, letting out a sigh. And here he thought things would be easy.

"It's something I always wanted to do." Audrey said, as she sipped the diet soda Jack had so graciously offered her. And now, after god knew how long she was telling these kids about herself. Something she was grateful for as it took her mind off of what had happened.

"I don't know sounds kind of boring to me." Miko said.

"Miko!" Jack hissed, nudging his friend.

"What? It is, uh, no offense Audrey." Miko said.

Audrey chuckled. "It's okay nursing really isn't for everybody to be honest."

"Jack's mom is a nurse." Raf piped up.

"And you mom knows all about this?" Audrey asked, gesturing to the Autobots milling about the base, focused on various tasks.

Jack nodded. "She comes by the base every once in a while."

"And she's okay with this?" Audrey asked.

Jack shrugged. "She's my mom, she worries but she understands...I think."

Audrey had to chuckle at that, as she placed the empty soda can on the table in front of her. Now that the excitement had died down she wondered if they would let her go home soon. Standing up she moved to where Ratchet was typing on some sort of console. Opening her mouth she was about to ask the doctor when-

"Hey, Breakdown." Bulkhead's deep voice cut in. And from the darkened depths, blue optics blazing with unbridled fury as Bulkhead stepped into the room once more.

Optics glued on Breakdown, who seemed lost in thought. Just as Bulkhead's hand transformed into a wrecking ball, and slammed into Breakdown's faceplate. Catching him off guard, and knocking him to the ground. Audrey watched with wide eyes as Breakdown let out a pained groan, as he picked himself off the ground.

Anger blazing in his optic as he transformed his hand into a hammer, and swung at Bulkhead, letting out an enraged roar as he did. His hammer colliding with Bulkhead's faceplate, causing him to stagger backwards right into Ratchet. Causing the medic to drop the strange device he was working on. A frustrated growl escaping Ratchet.

Turning around he glared at the two of them. "If you two are going to do this, then you can do it somewhere else!"

Both Bulkhead and Breakdown looked to him, as he typed something into the ground bridge controls. The ground bridge flaring to life before them.

"As the doctor says." Breakdown growled, looking to Bulkhead once more before slamming into him, sending them both through the ground bridge.

Audrey blinked as she looked to the kids, wanting their thoughts. Just as she caught sight of pink and black blur race by.

"Miko!" Jack shouted, as both he and Raf chased after her, as the girl darted through the ground bridge after the two dueling titans. The boys following after her. Audrey blinked again, as she looked to Ratchet. Seeing as he was busy picking up the remains of the device he had dropped, grumbling to himself as Audrey descended down the stairs, and stood before the swirling green and blue vortex.

Biting down on her bottom lip she took a tentative step, then another. Until she found herself on the other side, and let out a startled cry as Bulkhead dropped to the ground in front of her.

"Audrey!" She heard Miko call out to her and wave her over.

Glancing at the two fighting Cybertronians before racing over to where the kids were. "Are you guys crazy?" she gasped, looking to Miko.

"Yes." Jack and Raf said in unison.

"Oh come on, you can't honestly tell me that you weren't dying to see these two lock fenders, did you?" Miko asked, as she turned to where Bulkhead and Breakdown were.

The two of them currently grappling, optics blazing with anger, denta gritted. As the four of them continued to watch as Breakdown got the upper hand on Bulkhead, just as the green Autobot tackled him into a rock wall.

Rocks and other debris raining down on the two of them, as Breakdown struggled to get Bulkhead off of him.

"Let go!" Breakdown growled, slamming his fist into Bulkhead's face. But, still Bulkhead held fast, energon trickling down his chin, as he tossed Breakdown to the ground.

"You don't honestly expect me to believe you changed your ways, do you?" Bulkhead asked, as Breakdown struggled to pick himself up. Just as Bulkhead's wrecking ball caught him in the back of the head. Breakdown kicking up dust as he hit the ground once more.

Groaning, he wiped energon from the gash in his forehead, as she looked up at Bulkhead. "I am of no use to the Decepticons anymore. And, I might not be of any use to the Autobots, but at least I'm going to try. "Breakdown said.

"More like you're going to run back to the Decepticons the first chance you get. I should just offline you and be done with it." Bulkhead said.

Breakdown was silent as Bulkhead closed in on him. He knew that getting the Autobots to trust him would be no easy task, and getting Bulkhead to trust him was impossible. He knew there was too much bad blood between them. But that didn't mean he was just going to lie down and take it either. Letting out an enraged growl he transformed his hand into his hammer once more, catching Bulkhead in the jaw, sending the wrecker flying.

However, Bulkhead was not down for the count yet, as he got to his feet, and charged at Breakdown. Slamming the other into the rock wall once more. And to add insult to injury? He transformed his hand into his blaster, aiming it upwards, and firing. Causing rocks and other debris to come tumbling down on Breakdown, burying him. The corner of Bulkhead's mouth turning upwards, as he watch as Breakdown struggled to break free. Energon staining Breakdown's faceplate as he looked up at Bulkhead. A cold look was etched on Bulkhead's faceplate, as he transformed his hand into the wrecking ball once more.

"Bet you wished you stayed with the 'Cons now, don't you?" Bulkhead growled, as he raised his wrecking ball above his head.

"W-wait!" Audrey spoke, catching Bulkhead's attention. "I-I think he's had enough." She said, taking a couple steps back as both Bulkhead and Miko glared at her.

Trust me," Bulkhead growled, turning back to the struggling Breakdown. "Breakdown can take a lot more." As he said this he moved to bring his wrecking ball down on Breakdown's head when-

"Bulkhead!" Optimus's voice shouted.

Looking over his shoulder he saw the Autobot leader standing there. "That is enough."

Bulkhead looked to Optimus as he lowered his wrecking ball, transforming his hand back, as he scratched the back of his head. Optimus was silent as he walked over to them, walking past Bulkhead, moving to help Breakdown get free. As Bulkhead muttered something under his breath, and disappeared through the ground bridge. Bulkhead cast a glance in Ratchet's direction as headed towards his quarters. Anger still flowing through him as he passed Arcee.

"Bulkhead?" Arcee asked, looking over his shoulder at him, optics wide. The large Autobot was radiating anger as he looked to her. She wanted to ask him if he was all right, but she knew it was a stupid question as she moved towards him. Bulkhead was silent.

"I kind of know where Optimus is coming from letting Breakdown come here." Bulkhead said, sighing as he rubbed the back of his head once more. "But for me there is just too much history between me and Breakdown. So..." Bulkhead trailed off, looking away from her. "I think I need sometime to myself." As he said that he moved further down the hall, before rounding the corner.

Worrying at her bottom lip Arcee looked away from where Bulkhead had disappeared, and returned to the command room, just as Optimus stepped in, with Breakdown in tow, energon was leaking from various wounds on the former Decepticons chassis. As Optimus guided him towards the med bay, where a still irritated Ratchet was waiting.

Arcee watched as they disappeared into the med bay, before looking down, and seeing the humans standing before her. Obviously when Bulkhead and Breakdown had their little knock down drag out someone obviously wanted to see it. And the others, including Audrey followed after her. Saying nothing Arcee only shook her head, as she crouched down in front of Jack.

"It's getting late how about I take you home?" Arcee offered, and then looked to Miko. "And Bulkhead would like some time to himself, Miko. So, I could give you a ride if you'd like."

Saying nothing Miko only nodded, and moved to gather her things. Casting one final glance at the med bay, honey colored eyes narrowed. As the kids were getting ready to return home Agent Fowler approached Audrey, placing a hand on her shoulder, getting her attention.

"Miss Audrey if you have a moment I would like to speak with you." He said.

Nodding she wished the kids a good night, and moved to follow Agent Fowler, not before giving the Autobot base one final glance. Today has certainly been interesting.
