Chapter 30 Can't stop the fire
John's POV
As we were rehearsing our final dance, Peter started to speak.
"Five, six, seven, eight!" Peter started counting the steps.
As I kept looking at Stormy, I then started to speak.
"Uh, Izzy? Can I take a break?" I asked.
"Yes, you can John." Izzy told me as I walked over to Stormy.
"Hey, Stormy, can I talk to you for a second?" I wanted to know.
"Sure, John." Stormy exclaimed.
"Stormy I was just wondering if we could talk for a few minutes." I said.
"Well, I'm kind of having trouble with the choreography and..." Stormy exclaimed.
"Stormy, you never have trouble with choreography." I said.
"Well but it's new choreography and we're at finals now so..." Stormy exclaimed.
"Okay." I answered.
"Is, is that okay?" Stormy wanted to know as I nodded my head.
"Yeah, it's fine. We'll talk later." I said.
"Okay, thank you John!" Stormy thanked me.
Mike Benderson's POV
"It all comes down to this moment everyone boys and girls, audience of all ages. The Mer Dance VS The Never Dance. Hair in the final at the absolute dance regionals championship! I am Mike Anderson alongside my assistant Michelle Walton.
Michelle's POV
According to the rules, these two teams have come up with something completely new. That's the case you have to do a new routine at this moment. What has Mer Dance saved? In my opinion, they bought something even better than what we've seen. That's kind of the strategy. Now The Never Dance I'm not sure about because I kind of feel like they used their best number right out of the gate to even get here. So where, we're really going to see how that plans out." I said.
"Yeah, that would make a lot of sense again they are on..." Mike exclaimed.
Peter's POV
We've used our best of routine to get no semi-finals and that was our strategy. Our finales routine just is not as good. I hate to say it but it's nowhere near polished.
"When you take a look at Mer Dance they've been here before." Mike exclaimed.
"Yeah is everyone this thing three times they've gone on to Nationals. Well you have the never dance, without claim to have the underdogs. And to be honest, they haven't even made it to the semifinals. I'll let alone the final against The Mer dance." Michelle.
"Oh man." I whispered.
"...Fierce competition let's face it." Michelle exclaimed.
"Well I'm being told I'm there ready to roll here for the finals at the absolute dance regional competition." Mike answered.
"Look at that set. You know what I love so much they set up the routine right from the beginning." Michelle said.
"It's just so eye catching I mean just the costumes the way that..wow look at it. The moves are incredible, the audience is cheering." Mike exclaimed.
Mike Benderson's POV
"Well, they are so in sync. They are so on spot they're professionals." I told her.
"I also feel like I'm watching a Broadway show when I see something like this. It's professional level for amateur dancers." Michelle explained.
"We even said it time and time again, they've been on this deeds for the last three years." I explained.
"That is correct, they came here to win they deserve to be here and they know they deserve to be here, and you can tell." Michelle said.
Once their dance was over they got a standing ovation from the audience.
"The never dance look at them standing and waving at the audience.
Jake's POV
As we were on the waving at the audience, I was rubbing Izzy's shoulder.
Owlette's POV
As we all put our hands on, his then said this...
"Never dance!" We all cheered as we threw our hands up in the air.
"Let's go!" Jake told us as we were walking out to the stage.
As we got on the stage, I was excited and I wanted to show them what the never dance can bring.
Mike Benderson's POV
"Well Michelle, we are near the end of this..." I told her.
Owlette's POV
"That dog tail." I exclaimed.
Bart's POV
That's when all of a sudden, I see Catboy backstage.
"What's he doing here?" I asked.
"Bart, did you say something?" Owlette asked.
"Look who's leaving at you backstage." I told her that she turned around and saw catboy standing there waving at my girl.
"Just give me one second, don't worry about it, I'll be back." Owlette told me.
Owlette's POV
"Catboy, what are you doing here?" I want to know.
"Hey, aren't you excited to see me?" Catboy asked.
"Yeah, but um I kind of got to focus on the dance I'm about to go on stage." I explained.
"I'm so excited to be here." Catboy said.
"Since I found out you made it to final I knew I'd come on, come on." Catboy exclaimed.
"Catboy how did you even get here?" I asked.
"Well duh, I drove my cat car." Catboy answered.
"Hold up a second, you drove your cat car from home to Neverland, to Regionals?" I wanted to know.
"Yeah it was like an 8-hour drive." Catboy said.
"Okay, well thanks for coming but I gotta get back." I told him as he grabbed hold of my hand for some reason.
"Okay, wait wait um...Owlette, I've been thinking about it the whole way here and I need to tell you that...I...I I still love you." Catboy said as I turned around to Bart and smiled
Catboy's POV
I just look at Bart for some reason.
"Um..." Owlette exclaimed.
Owlette's POV
After Catboy told me he loves me it's kind of... It's kind of a mind-blower.
"You don't need to say anything, I just, I just needed to tell you." Catboy said.
"Yeah, uh I gotta...I I really have to get back on stage uh..." Owlette told me.
"Think about it I'll be waiting." Catboy said as I left.
"Yeah, I'll catch you later." I told him as I was walking away from him and back to Bart.
But as I came back Bart had his arms folded over and looked at me.
"So?" Bart wanted to know.
"What?" I answered.
"What did Catboy say?" Bart exclaimed.
"He said nothing, it's fine." I lied.
"He only said that he came to watch." I told him.
"That's it?" Bart wanted to know.
"Yeah, yep that's it hehe." I lied again.
Oh my god, if I tell Bart what Catboy, just said to me now, it would completely psych him out and just make him upset. He needs to focus on performing right now. I will tell Bart later.
John's POV
"It has been an uphill battle for the evidence and I think you know this is a team that quite funny has never really been seen here. And now here they are up against the best reigning champions." Michelle explained.
"Three-timing, reigning champs you know and a matter of notice here is that according to the rules we're seeing something for the first time." I told her.
Mike Benderson's POV
"My question to Michelle is... is there a bit of a disadvantage that the never dance has to go second to the three-time defending champs?" I asked.
John's POV
That's when I first started noticing something between stormy and cubby again a really long time ago, and I kind of always question away because... I didn't want it to be true. That's why I decided to ask Stormy.
"Hey Stormy?" I called her name.
"Hmm hm?" Stormy answered.
"Could I talk to you for a minute please?" I asked.
"Listen I just want to focus on the Regional's...number..." Stormy told me as I've been grabbed her hand and pulled her to the side.
"I need you to tell me what's going on." I said.
"John, look I don't want to talk about this right now okay? I want to talk about it like..." Stormy said.
"Stormy." I called her name again.
"What John?" Stormy answered.
"Stormy...do you still have feelings for Cubby?" I really wanted to know her answer now.
"John please let's not talk about this right now." Stormy exclaimed.
"Yeah, I'll catch you later." I told him as I was walking away from him and back to Bart.
But as I came back Bart had his arms folded over and looked at me.

"Stormy, please! Do you still have feelings for him Stormy?" I asked
"Yeah, okay, I, I, want to get back together with Cubby. I'm...I'm sorry." Stormy apologized.
"It's fine I understand." I told her.
I couldn't stand anymore not knowing, I just couldn't stand there being mad and a fool out of again. And having everyone betray me...I mail the answer I was going to get. I just wanted it to be a different one.
"Guys 30 seconds? Okay get in your spot come on! Let's go! This is it! Let's go!" Peter said.
We all got into our spots, well I just kind of stand there while Stormy goes to her spot.
"John! Come on we're going to start!" Peter exclaimed as I went on stage and got to my spot.
Mike's Benderson's POV
There's another dance going for all the marbles here at absolute dance regional competition the final. Let's take a look.
The curtains opens and the audience start cheering.
That's when Jake and Izzy started to do their duet routine.
Izzy's POV
The whole concept of this dance is basically Romeo and Juliet. The rest of the group, come out. We are dancing to Everyday from High school Musical 2. Once our dance was over, the entire audience gave us a standing ovation.
John's POV
We started to walk over together, holding hands. I have my head down as I faked a smile as Finn looked at me. I then began to cry. I try to stop crying, but i couldn't, as Lisa and Misty gave me a hug. The curtain went down, as Peter and Red Jessica came running over to us.
Jake's POV
"Well was that moment almost upon us. Will it be four straight regional championships for Mer Dance, or will the never dance win this nearest regional championship?" Mike Anderson wanted to know while he was looking at the camera.
"Let's find out." Mike Benderson exclaimed
Ask for our team, we were walking on the stage. Is he and I were holding hands tightly and gripping our grip tight went up and we all looked at each other.
"Ladies and gentlemen the winner of the 10th annual absolute dance regionals champion is..." The announcer was about to announce as my team were tightening their grip on each other's hands waiting very anxiously.
"Oh my God, ladies and gentlemen the winners are...THE NEVER DANCE!" The announcer announced as we all jumped in the air, while we were all screaming as confetti was falling. Along with all of us open each other. I also lifted Izzy up in the air and hugged her while spinning her around.
That's when Izzy and I share the kiss.
The girls got into a group hug, Izzy and Stormy hugged each other as well. Owlette joined in.
Izzy's POV
That's when the Mer dance walked away from the stage and I walked over to them. I walked over to Marina while holding my hand out. But unfortunately she brushes past me and walks away as I smiled.
"The Reign is over for Mer Dance, just like that a new regional champions are born. they won Regionals! Hello everybody! They won Regionals!" Mike Benderson told the audience as we all got another standing ovation.
All of the boys do their handshakes.
Nationals here we come!
That's when the judges walk out with our trophy and gave it to Jake as both of us hold it up in the air showing it to the crowd as we both smiled.
It's so great winning regionals, it's been quite a long ride but it's worth every minute. The audience started the club really loud and cheer so loud.
"GO NEVER DANCE!" We all screamed.
A/N That's all folks! Thank you so much for reading the story. But don't worry, this won't be the last time you see everyone, because in the sequel they will be heading to Nationals!
