A very few months have passed ever since both Oakley and Penny started becoming friends. After days through days of training, it was complicated for the dog duo to not only improve on their projectiles, but to take advantage of outsiders in the near future.

The smell of fresh cherry blossoms breezed against Oakley's nostrils, and she could tell as she watched Penny, heading out of the nearest bathhouse with a small flower on her head, she had bathed once she got inside. "You've been cleaning yourself up, haven't you?"

The yamper's words left Penny blank. She shook the excess water off herself, the flower falling off her head as she quickly moved herself. "Yeah, gotta keep myself clean for the big day."

"Say, how about we play "Rescue Team" today!?" Oakley asked as she shuffled her small paws towards the bulldog, she fell silent when those words came out of her mouth.

Penny never wanted to play with Oakley at all, nor said she wanted to. Throwing the towel against the nearby hanger, she went back to Oakley and let out a small growl. "Who said I can play with you?"

"Penny, it's that.. We never played a game with each other before!" Oakley barked as she ran around in circles towards the snubbull, stopping as she noticed her face had shifted into a snarl. "It's where the kiddos play-"

"Not in the mood, Oak.." Penny scoffed, turning her back away from the yamper that stood in front of her. "It's been a long day and I need some rest."

The yamper grew impatient. "C'mon, Penny! It'll be-"

"I said I'M NOT IN THE MOOD!" The bulldog shouted back, raising her paw to slap the yamper across the head, yet the small corgi didn't flinch one bit. She stood still like a statue.

Penny let out a small sigh before she shuffled her feet across the concrete. "Listen, Oakley. I need some rest so go find someone else to play with."

"Maybe we'll play rescue team tomorrow?" Oakley asked, yet the snubbull ignored her. "Wait- How about next week! We can do that too!"

"How about you go play rescue team with you're own friends and not me?" The shiny bulldog snapped back, her face getting closer to the yamper's. "Hmm?"

"But...I only have a friend. And that means you!" The yamper responded as her expression shifted, still not understanding how irritated the snubbull is. "You're my only friend, and maybe we'll form a team togethe-"

"Why can't you understand I'm not in the mood right now!?" Penny roared back as she ran over to Oakley, her face was now getting closer to her than before. "I'm tired, I'm lonely, and I have no one to take care of me!"

Oakley's smile drooped when she heard what the snubbull had said to her. "You said-"

"Oakley, I tried to look for someone to take care of me, and they still won't care!" Penny growled, tears cascading down her face between words. "Listen! All day and all night, I've been-"

Oakley took her eyes off the angry snubbull and gazed upon a random note attached to the bulletin board. "Oakley, are you even paying attention to me or what!?"

"Penny, I found something!" The yamper barked as she ran closer to the bulletin board, focusing her eyes upon the flyer that was attached to it. It appeared to be something...different. Usually they don't have any "Missing Villager" flyers attached to the board, not until it changes today, where the small dog herself found the paper stuck onto it.

"Missing Tyrogue." Oakley started as she averted her eyes between the words she is reading out. "Reward: 4,000 Poke.."

"Oakley, there's no way we're-"

"Penny, there is! Since no one is going to find that tyrogue, then we'll do it ourselves!" Oakley suggested, the request left Penny blank. She wasn't going to trust her or herself by going outside the village, otherwise it'll get the both in trouble if not found soon enough.

"I don't think that's a-" Penny reassured before the Yamper cut her off.

"Penny, we're gonna make a great rescue team if we find that tyrogue!" Oakley responded back as she raised a paw to offer her a hand-no, a pawshake. "Promise you'll make a good team member?"

Penny kept silent when the yamper's hand was still in view. She was going to trust her, but not into a dangerous mission. Was she really going to trust her in finding a missing villager?

"Fine. Rescue team it is.." Penny scoffed as she placed a paw against Oakley's. "And it's going to be the last time we're doing this. We don't want to come back completely bloodied and bruised.

"Great!" The yamper cheerfully barked back as she hopped around in circles. "Team Blytz on a mission!"

Penny froze when she heard what the yamper had blurted out. "Team..what?"

"Team Blytz! It's a pretend team name I came up with!" Oakley replied as she led the shiny snubbull away from the board, both heading towards the sign that says, "Now entering: Cutthroat Woods"

The shiny's heart raced when she heard the sign name. "Oakley, I don't really know if we're allowed to go out there.."

"Just trust me, Penny! The guy's gonna be around here somewhere." Oakley responded back as she walked across the pathway, feeling a string of cobwebs attached to her face soon after. She stopped and shook them off, then it is back to walking.

Less than a mile in, and they were now outside the village. It was foggy, dark, and the trees were big. They were big enough to send Penny shivers. Her heart raced, and it's all Oakley's idea to do it in the first place.

"Oakley, can't we just go back to the village? It's startin' to get really creepy out-"

"Penny, remember what I said? We'll make a great rescue team if we ever find that tyrogue soon enough." Oakley snapped back as she led the shiny bulldog out on the pathway, making sure she was following it whenever she continued walking. "Just trust me. We'll be back with that tyrogue with no bruises on us."

"But what if we find that tyrogue severaly injured? or worse, dead?" Those worse froze Oakley, yet she shook it off and continued walking.

"Penny, he'll be fine, I pro-"

GRRROOOOOUGH.

Before she had a chance to finish her sentence, a loud snarl reverberated across the forest. Both Oakley and Penny froze when they heard the sound that echoed across the area.

"O-Oakley, I don't like thi-"

AAAAAGHHH!

The two dogs stopped and froze as they heard the blood-curdling scream, reverberating across the dark area. "Oakley, I don't-"

SOMEBODY HELP ME!

Oakley froze at those words. Did it sound like the tyrogue she and Penny were looking for? Without any time to figure out why, Oakley quickly shoves Penny inside the bush seconds before sounds of running started to get louder. Louder, louder, it grew louder before Oakley's eyes gazed upon what she was looking for; the tyrogue from the missing panel!

It looked shiny, it's blue pants came in view, and their eyes appeared to be different. One of them has a different color, and it appeared the pokemon was born with a rare eye genetic. Oakley didn't have time to figure out why the fighting type looked different, and as soon as the large beast passed by, she quickly covered her head.

"OAKLEY! WHAT WE'RE YOU-" Penny growled before the yamper cut her off.

"Quiet! We don't want that beast to see us, do we?" Oakley snapped back, trying to be quiet as possible.

The sounds of footsteps grew quieter as the yamper pokes her head out of the bush, averting her eyes over to the large beast that was seen chasing off the Tyrogue nearby. It looked familiar to the corgi's point of view. It's shadow was impossible for her to figure out who that figure belongs to.

After a quick few seconds, she finally realized who that jet-black figure belongs to; a large, scruffy Mightyena, on the kill for the small, shiny tyrogue that ran past them.

"Penny, we need to save that tyrogue. He looks like he's in big trouble!" Oakley shouted as she finally jumps out of the bush before running off, the shiny snubbull quickly jumped through the bush and followed her lead.

"HEY! You can't just leave me behind like that!" Penny snapped back as she ran across the forest, following the yamper's lead.

They both reached the area that was open, empty, and little to no enemies are seen, except for the scruffy beast and the shiny fighter it was chasing after. "Penny, either we find that tyrogue or-"

"It's dinner for that mightyena, alright!" Penny argued as she slapped Oakley across her back. "Who gave you the idea, huh? Leading me into some forest that'll get us killed!?"

"Penny, we're rescuing that tyrogue no matter wh-" The small corgi snapped back at Penny before she was cut off with a, CRAP- CRAP- CRAP- SHE'S AFTER ME!

ROAAAUAGHHH!

Oakley froze when the mightyena started roaring in response. The scruffy beast's mouth went agape and her teeth came in view.

OH ARCEUS, I'M GONNA DIE, I'M GONNA DIE, I'M GONNA DI-

At the very last second, the mightyena's fangs sink against his arm. Both dogs watched in horror as they saw what turned into sheer pain. The tyrogue's scream became louder, and blood-curdling.

GAAAAAAAGHH!

"PENNY! WE'RE SAVING THAT TYROGUE RIGHT NOW!" Oakley shouted as she jumped through the bushes, leaving the shiny snubbull behind.

"Why didn't you stop that damned beast when it bit him, Oakley!?" She argued back as she followed Oakley's lead, fearing she was getting close to the mightyena as she dropped the tyrogue onto the ground.

The beast lets go of the shiny tyrogue's arm before facing towards the canine duo, stopping as they approach towards the large mightyena in front of them. It let out a low, husky growl as her eyes met Oakley's, then back at the shiny tyrogue's.

"HURRY! COME WITH US!" Oakley demanded as she attempted to carry the Tyrogue, yet the snubbull stopped her as she led her out. "HEY!"

The tyrogue groaned as he attempted to get up, yet the sheer amount of pain prevented him from moving any further. It was horrible. The sheer amount of pain from that bite, and- oh Arceus, it was horrible.

"W-WAIT FOR ME!" The tyrogue shouted as he managed to get up off the ground, only for the mightyena to sink her fangs against his wounded arm once more, this time it brought even more pain than before.

With a very loud, CRUNCH, both dogs turned facing the mightyena, frozen in pure horror as they watched the mangy beast grab the tyrogue by his left arm, throwing her head back and forth as she yanked him around.

"STOP! PLEASE!" Yelled the corgi as she tried to stop the beast from doing any further damage, however the snubbull stopped her and led her out, avoid both the trapped tyrogue and the mightyena still carrying him by his arm.

"OAKLEY! WE NEED TO GET OUT OF-" Penny shouted before she stopped as she heard the loud snap of a bone that echoed across the area. The duo stopped and turned facing the mightyena, throwing her head back and forth as she kept the shiny tyrogue's arm against her fangs.

Finally, she sends the tyrogue flying until he hits the tree shoulder first, crumpling onto the dry, grassy floor like a ragdoll. Oakley shouted as she ran over to the now-injured tyrogue before she gasped when she soon found something horrifying.

The scruffy beast had ripped his arm off. "She did not.."

A rush of blood stained all over the ground in the process. The shiny tyrogue's vision grew static and his hearing was replaced with a loud ring, barely able to hear both Oakley or Penny's shouts for help when the mightyena was still around, keeping her eyes focused on the dog duo.

Oakley averted her eyes back at the mightyena, still focused on the yamper rather than the snubbul that stood behind her compainion. She curled her muzzle into a snarl, and soon as the beast opened her mouth to grab her, electrical sparks fly across her as she instantly rams her head against the large feral's neck, right onto her throat.

Oakley manages to land on all fours as she watches the mightyena stumble onto the ground upon impact, sparks flying across her entire body as she attempted to move once more, yet to no avail. She was paralyzed, and it's all thanks to the small corgi herself.

She panted heavily between breaths as she averted her eyes over to the now-paralyzed mightyena, then back at the shocked Penny as she stared at her. "Finally...she's down.."

Penny grew speechless when she watched her corgi friend manage to land a one-hit KO onto the large beast, and she was shocked to realize the new move Oakley had learned just now. "Penny, we need to-"

"How'd you even do that!?" Penny shook as her eyes met Oakley's, still shocked about the attack she'd learned recently. "I-I..Oakley, how did you even.."

"Save it, Penny. We need to get the tyrogue some medical assistance. He looks in really bad shape right now." Oakley snapped back as she attempted to carry the fighter onto her back, thankfully Penny was there to help her. The shiny snubbull carefully placed the tyrogue onto her back before holding him for support.

Finally, back to the village they go..

As soon as they all headed back to StoneTown, Oakley soon was greeted by her father, who was now standing in front of her, his scowl was enough to send the small yamper into fear, knowing she was in big trouble.

"Oakley, I told you not to-" Rai scolded before he stopped to find the shiny tyrogue that was near him. His expression soon shifted into shock when he notice one of his arms had been ripped off. "D-Dear..Arceus.. W-What happened to-"

"His arm got ripped off by the feral, Dad." Oakley explained as she and Penny placed the injured, unconscious tyrogue onto a nearby bench. "We're sending him to a medical center ASAP."

Rai let out a sigh. "A-At least you're not hurt, Oakley. But you need to understand that going outside the village is too dangerous for you to go out there. Otherwise you could be killed if I don't find you soon enough!"

Oakley nodded as she and Penny both carried the tyrogue, before Rai ran over to help him up for support. "Let's take him over there and we'll go home."

As soon as the four all reached the nearby hospital, they all walked in and ordered the nurse to bring the tyrogue to an emergency room. The Audino nodded in response and finally, it took the tyrogue off the boltund's back and soon stormed into the room just a few feet away from them.

The three exit soon after, and as Oakley opened her mouth to talk, Rai let out a sad sigh.

"That...poor tyrogue.." Rai sighed sadly as he led both Oakley and Penny back into their den. "Penny, you should go back home as well. Both that tyrogue and Oakley need rest.."

"Aren't you gonna," Penny asked, but she paused as the boltund opened his mouth to talk. "Scold her?"

"I wouldn't, Penny. It's best we need a little rest." Rai responded back at the snubbull standing in front of him. "Besides, for the tyrogue, he needs some time to recover."
