Ω What you wish for Ω
-Katie-
The lunch went on just fine, Jenny, their mother is really nice to her; she even asked her if she have any allergy. The food is amazing too, it's been years since the last time she ate lunch on a proper dining table with real homemade stuff. She gave them her famous cookies for dessert, let's just say the magic plate ones can't beat the original ones.
Now they are in the living room prepare to watch TV (the boys said if they watch DVDs, it won't attract monsters). Katie is squeezing on the couch with Travis beside her, while Connor is sitting on the floor looking through the DVDs they have, considering which to play.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Travis whispered to her, hot air fanning against her ear, sending chills down her spine.
"Just wondering when are we going to the mall you promised?" She whispered into his ear back, returning the favor. Katie felt Travis shifted beside her because of her breathe into his ear. He told her earlier that they can go out after having lunch with their mother.
"Let's sneak out when Connor is passing out during the movies."
"Okay." He probably doesn't want Connor to follow them by any chance.
"What are you two talking about?" Connor turned around and asked them after putting the disk in the player.
"Nothing, just making sure Mom won't figure out the whole sleeping thing." Travis lied to his brother smoothly.
"Oh, I told Mom we are sleeping in my room and Katie is sleeping in yours. Disney is fine for both of you, right?" He asked them the last sentence seriously.
"As long as it's not Hercules." Katie declared.
"Trust me, no demigods can watch that without wanting to throw up." Connor said in dead panned. "We are watching Tangled."
Connor fell asleep by the time the evil mother came to Rapunzel in the middle of the night after she showed her glowing hair power to Eugne for the first time. Travis tapped her shoulder; she moved her eyes away from the screen and tip-toe out the living room with him. They first went upstairs to take their outing bag, then left the house successfully. Just as they step out the door.
"Where are you guys going?" Jenny asked them. Katie can tell from her outfit she is cleaning the small garden. Travis smiled sheepishly at his mother next to her.
"We are going to the mall?" Why did that come out as a question? She can feel his frustration wearing off him as he finished speaking.
"Okay. Just come back for dinner." Jenny looked at them with affection while her eyes smiling along with her lips. She can see the similarly between the mother and sons, it's the angle their eyes curve when they smile and the same warm coming from them.
Then like she was possessed, Katie walked towards the garden Jenny has been working with, she reaches up her hand and do her magic. Leaves and flowers which were dreading under the heating sun all came back to life, as if receiving the bless of the goddess, though it's practically truth. Then, more green sprouts pushed up the earth within seconds, spices which don't belong to this time of the year pop out. She can feel Travis' glaze burning through her back like every time when she used her power in front of him. Jenny gasped at the way how the plants go all crazy just by a wave of her hand.
"Is that your power?" Katie nodded and blushed fiercely. "Thank Gods, my work here is all done." Jenny wiped the sweats with her hands and thanked her.
"I think I just create a disturbance in the garden of yours." She meant the flowers that shouldn't come out now. All she wants to do is make the plants healthier, somehow things always lost control; turning a little homey garden into some crazy botanical garden is just her daily life.
"It's fine, don't worry." Jenny looked around and said. "Have funny on your date! Remember to come back before dinner." Now it's the two of them blushing.
They hopped on the car and Travis drive out to the city; half way through, Katie turned on his phone and play music from the car speaker. She bobbed her head with the slow jazz music, then look aside at Travis. He is now stiring the wheel with one hand, while the other hand placing on his lap. He nods his head with the flow, peaking at her from the side, then their eyes matched.
"Watch the road you moron. I don't want to die in a car crash." She smacked the hand on his lap; he chuckled and locks his eyes back to the road.
"Any thoughts about what to do in the mall?" He asked her.
"Shopping? Ah, is there any arcade?"
"Yeah, they have that."
"Perfect, and we are going to shop for you."
"Because I keep giving you clothes?" She hummed. "And why arcade?"
"I never been to one before." She told him honestly.
"Then you are going have so much fun since you are going with me."
"Is that so?" She said with a hint of delight and teasing.
"That's a promise, Katie-kat."
"Mind I open the window?" She asked him after a while. He shakes his head before she rolled the window at her side down, letting the wind blow in the car, sending both of their hair flying.

"Let's play first and shopping later." Travis said after he parked the car and they went in the mall.
They walk beside each other as he led her to the elevator, their hands accidently brushed several times but no one utter a word. They went in the elevator, the space was empty at first, then people start to squeeze in at a certain floor. She inched closer to him, searching for the familiar in this unfamiliar space. As if sense her unease, he suddenly grabbed her arm and put her into his chest, two big hands place firmly on her shoulders, caging her small body from behind.
"You okay?" He whispered in her ears.
"Yeah, I'm fine." She assured him.
The elevator dinged and stopped at the floor where the arcade is, the two of them get out the tiny metal box and sighed. Travis slides his hand from her shoulder down to her palm and laced their fingers together. She looked down at the connection of their hands then looked up blinked at him.
"Not good if we lost each other, right?"
"Maybe you just want to hold hands." She murmured under her breathe.
"Is that what you want?" She taken back at his replied and narrow her eyes at him, not knowing what to say. "You know, Kates, all you have to do is ask." He gives her a cocky grin and tugged her hand slightly, letting her follow his steps to the playground.
-Travis-
And they played for total three hours none stop, it's a complete miracle for Katie having this much energy, he starts to wonder if she is sugar high in this rate.
"Trav, why are you acting like an old man?"
"You know this is more tiring than fighting monsters?" He whisper-yelled to her.
"We still need to go shopping." She told him in a serious tone. Then he started to show her the puppy eyes. "No puppy eyes, and we are going."
"The girl learns." He puffed.
"Sure she did." She replied with a smug expression.
"It's four now, if we want to go back for dinner in time, we better go for the clothes now." He practically dragged her away from the punch machine which she set her glaze on. He looked a glance at the highest score shown on the screen and back to Katie face. He knew she can break the record, but they need to leave if she still wants to shop him clothes.
"Hey, you can break the record next time we come here, alright?"
"That's a promise too?"
"Yes, that is." She let out a satisfied hum and happily be dragged by him, they end up standing in front of a H&M which is opened in the building.
Katie tossed him a few clothes and order him to try on, she also grabbed a dress and hoodie for herself. They almost spent all of their mortal money buying the clothes.
"From scale one to ten, how angry will Connor feel when he found out we ditched him and go the mall?" Katie asked went his is parking the car in the garage at the house.
"Seven? He knew better not to follow." He murmured the later part of the answer.
They get off the car and saw his very little brother standing on the porch, reading his face, Travis can tell he is half pleased and half pissed. Pleased because he and Katie went out on a date, pissed because they went to the mall without him.
"Having fun?" Connor asked as they stepped out the car. "You both know that you can still give me a ride to the mall and I won't bother you two, right?"
"I thought you enjoy Tangled?" Katie gives him a shrug.
"Whatever." He flipped them off. "So, are you two like dating dating now?"
"No!" They shouted together as Connor lets out a success laugh.
"I'm going to reopen the killing Connor Stoll project." He heard Katie said under her breathe. He chuckled at her statement. "Let's go upstairs and put our things." She turned to him and spoke.
After they organized their things and went down for dinner, which went on nice, Katie passed out on the couch. Even she can't keep up the energy after playing the whole afternoon.
"So, what did you two do in the mall?" Connor asked him, they are now standing by the sink, washing the dishes as their mother sitting at the table, no doubt that she is now listening to their conversation.
"Well, we played at the arcade for three hours," Connor wide-eyed as he heard what he said.
"Woah, that's impressive."
"And shopping after that."
"She dragged you?" He nodded.
"She told me I need more clothes."
"And wonder why?" Connor gave him a evil grin.
"Why?" Their mother cut into the conversation.
"Oh, that's because our dear brother over here, starts to give the young lady who is on the couch right now, his clothes to —" Connor answered in a dramatic tone and Travis stopped him by covering his mouth by his hands. He shot his brother a glare but the damage is done.
"Is that so?" He turned to his mother, which is now having the same evil grin on her face.
"Mom, don't." He hissed through his clenched teeth. His eyes drifted to the figure on the couch, he saw Katie stir a little but not enough to wake up.
"Then when are you asking her out? I don't want to lose money."
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that." They bet on their relationship development, seriously.
"Just man up and ask her out."
"Do you know what is timing?"
"Boys, lower your voice." Their mom warned them.
"Sorry mom." They in synced.
"You two go fresh up first, okay? I'll wake Katie up when you both finish."

"Care to elaborate?" He heard a familiar female sound said, his mother. Travis blinked his eyes, noticed that Apollo is now high up and the light shine through the window, landing on Katie's hair. He snuck back to his room yesterday night after making sure his mother is asleep. He found Katie snooping his room went he got in; they end up chatting none stop and fall asleep in the end. He looked down at the girl who just pulled herself closer to his chest, then up at his mother. She doesn't look furious, just want to straggle his son, asking him how much longer until you ask the girl out.
"Hey mom." He said in a deep voice, hoping not to wake Katie up.
"Don't hey me. You know you can just tell me if you want to sleep in a room together. Please don't give me a heart attack at the beginning of the day." His mom whisper-yelled at him. "It's almost ten. You two can come down for breakfast." Then she winked at him and shut the door after leaving the room.
"And she knows." Katie spoke in the chest, sending vibration to his body while her voice is muffed, barely noticed by him.
"You are awake?" She hummed.
"And that is not awkward at all."
"At least she doesn't freak out or kick me out the house?"
"Like that's going to happen." He starts to play with her hair, thinking what kind of hair style he should braid for her. Then he realized, they are now alone, awake as ever, lying in his bed, a perfect timing.
"Katie-kat?" He called nervously, please don't screw up, he mentally cheered himself up.
"What's wrong?" Her back is still facing him, but knowing if she is looking in his face now, he might chicken out, so he kept it that way.
"I like you." She stays still for a second and let out a laugh.
"You told me before, remember? Just like how everyone in the camp does." Right, and that's like total shit his was saying. He though, as he can tell her sarcasm and hurt through the words.
"No," He forced her turn around, and look straight into her emerald eyes, all kinds of emotion swirling in them: hurt, excitement, frustration, even sleepy. "I like you as in I want to be your boyfriend."
"Really." She raised an eyebrow at him.
"Really." He sits up and pull her up. Turning her and let her back face him again, he starts to braid her hair.
"I didn't say you can do my hair." She protested weakly after they sit like that for a while.
"Yeah?" He replied softly.
"How much?"
"Humm?" He began to finish the styling as she asked.
"How much do you want to be my boyfriend?"
"Remember the wish? The idea of us going out flash through like a second."
"Woah, you are pretty serious."
"All this time." He put his hand around her torso as he finished the braid, pulling Katie closer to him, resting his chin on her shoulder.
"Well," Then she turned around and pushed their foreheads against another, breathing through the same air as him, her lips hover his. "I guess you can get what you wish for."
And they kissed.
-Katie-
It was nothing like the last time.
If their first kiss is like lighting a match, then this one is like burning down the whole world.
She smashed her lips on his and looped her arm around his neck, tucking his hair slightly. Then the position starts to get uncomfortable. So she pull herself off the bed, but keep the connection on their lips. Travis seems to sense what she wants to do, he closed his leg under her and moved his hands to her hips while press her down on him, letting her straddle him. He let out a groan as she put her weight on him, giving her a perfect chance to put her tongue in his mouth. And they started to make out. It took all her self-control not to grind her hips into his, his brother and mother is still in this house, starting something she couldn't finish isn't a good idea.
They finally pull out the kiss when they are both lack of air.
"Is that a yes?" Travis said in a husky voice, with her straddling him, the voice has extra effect on her.
"Maybe?" Then he starts to tickle her. "Stop! Yes! Yes, it is."
"That's my girl." And he leans in, wanting to kiss her. But she stopped him in the middle.
"Who says I'm yours?"
"No, but I'm yours."
This time she didn't stop him from kissing her.
-Epilogue-
Travis told her that their friends are betting on their relationship, so they decided to play with them by keeping the whole thing a secret. And turns out, only Connor, Miranda, Annabeth and Mr.D win the money. Which is a lot according to the good mode Mr.D is in the week they cash out.
