The Furious Wolf

Disclaimer: I do not own Halo or Fast and Furious in any way, shape, or form. They belong to their respective owners.

death444: I'm glad you liked the chapter; hopefully this one won't disappoint either.

slayore: You'll find out next chapter whether I change it for the Skyline or keep it as the Supra.

marlastiano: Thanks!

gasacan90: Thanks for the review and words of encouragement.

COBRS DARKNISS: Me too. And yeah, it was incredibly rushed last time. A mistake I'm hoping that I don't make again.

savitarsurrfer: I'm glad you like story. And while Brian and Mia won't be getting together in this story/universe that doesn't mean that he's just going to be forgotten about with Six replacing him. The family elements are important, ignoring the memes, Six really needs one again to put him back on the straight and narrow...or as straight and narrow an ONI Spartan can be.

Statess: I'm sorry! And yes, Modern Warfare will be added down the line to give Six something to do during the time between the gap between 2Fast2Furious and Fast and Furious (fourth movie).

CrimsonN7: Hopefully this chapter was worth the wait.

Jestalnaker94000: Thanks! And I do have something planned for another encounter with Dom and the others with the Ghost but won't spoil it for you.

Krieger Techpreist: I think that it would be death by Snu Snu if he got it...and where's my cookie?

True.

He probably should, but at the same time...it'll no doubt destroy his and Mia's relationship if it ever comes out that he's the Ghost.

Shugokage: Cheers, my guy!

Dr1zzy: Thanks, glad you liked it.

Darlok: It should certainly scare them off...unless they're stupid. Not sure about hydrogen engines, that might be something that Six keeps close to his chest for the time being, but definitely supped up engines that'll knock the competition out of the park.

Marcus De Gabriel: Glad you liked it. And Spartans are geniuses, I don't see why Six, someone from the twenty-sixth century, wouldn't design and build something that is vastly superior to anything that is available in the early twenty-first century. And I agree, but no doubt it'll eventually come out even if it ruins his relationship with Mia and the others...depending on when it comes out.

haha. plogue: I think that last chapter was the most words that I've written for a single chapter for this story, but don't hold me to that. But I'm glad that you're liking the story, which I hope looks better than the previous chapters where I cocked things up.

trailblazer445: The dialogue between Six and Letty just flows onto the page...well, the computer but you get my drift. And I guess that it was, and you really can't. With how crazy the story is for Kingdom Hearts I don't think that logic would mesh well with it lol.

Guest: Thanks!"

Ceberusx: No, he isn't. The only cars that have hydrogen engines are the ones that Six owns, Brian's had a regular combustion engine, only it's filled with high performance parts that Six and Dot created.

Isekai Me Please: Here you go!

Memnon45: Luckily for Dom and the others Six wasn't really hunting them, otherwise it would have had a very different ending.

Guest: Right now!

Beowolf 43: You'll find out next chapter if I decide to keep it or not.

raven2327: You'll find out next chapter; and you're welcome.

Spartanhybrid1.5: It's something to look into and which Grand Turismo, just so I know.

sniperbro1998: Six flipping the knife was solely a coincidence, but now you mentioned it I can see it.

tim223: Thanks, man! And really? I always thought the opposite; perhaps it was the bright orange that I just wasn't a fan of.

SaiyanJSM: Right now!

Chapter 18.

It had been a little over two hours since Six returned from dealing with Dom and the others, following his decision to employ a little psychological warfare to scare them away from hijacking the trucks. Sitting on the couch with Mia, he watched as she continued to test the home entertainment system he built and play Kingdom Hearts Final Mix.

"He should be reacting more."

Laying against his muscular body that felt even better than it looked, Mia sighed in amusement as she played the Deep Jungle segment. "I told you, it's Disney...and I still can't believe that you've never watched a single Disney movie."

"But his world was not." Six countered, watching as Mia swung through the vines that somehow took the boy's weight. "Nor did it have any anthropomorphic animals; yet Sora showed no reaction to the dog and the duck."

Mia smiled. "You mean Donald and Goofy."

"Hm." Six acknowledged through a grunt. "And why is Goofy anthropomorphic and yet Pluto is not, they both originate from the same world."

"Pluto is a pet."

"Hm."

Knowing what that grunt meant, Mia fought back a smile. "Go on."

"You don't find it immoral?"

"No, why?"

"It would be the equivalent of owning a neanderthal and keeping them as a pet.

Rolling her eyes, Mia replied. "It's a cartoon."

"Premise still remains." Six countered smoothly. "And where is Chiron?"

"...Chiron?"

"The trainer of Heracles, Achilles, Jason, and numerous other figures in Greek Mythology." The Spartan answered. "And why is he called Hercules?"

"Because that's his name."

"Hercules is a Roman God; whereas Heracles is a Greek God and since that world seems to be heavily influenced by Greek Mythology he should be referred to by the latter."

"That's what they call him in the film."

Six expressed his displeasure by narrowing his eyes slightly. He didn't know who or what this Disney was, but whomever they were had butchered their adaption of Heracles; and it wasn't just him. "And why is Hades' evil?"

"It's Hades." Mia replied like it was obvious. "Why wouldn't he be?" She asked as a cutscene started playing with Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Tarzan trying to speak to Kerchak and the other gorillas.

"Because Hades was a benevolent God; at least compared to the other Olympians." Six told her, mythology being one of the lessons that had been taught on Onyx. While it had mostly been Greek Mythology due to their forebear origins that didn't mean that they didn't learn about others.

"Didn't take you for a mythologist, Grumbles." Mia smiled teasingly. Before anything else could be said, she heard footsteps and muttering coming towards them making her breath a silent sigh of relief that they had made it back in one piece and hadn't been killed doing their stupid hijacking; all while trying not to tip off Jericho to what they had really been doing.

Sitting up from her cosy position but staying where she was not caring if the others saw them in their intimate position, Mia looked past Grumbles' and watched as Letty walked into the room first. Her relief turned to concern when she saw her. While she wasn't crying, she immediately knew that something was wrong by how quickly she was walking over to them; not to mention the forced look on her face.

Behind her was Dom who looked fine, but she knew her brother enough to know that something was seriously wrong; the fact that they were there rather than laying low for twenty-four hours like they usually did revealed that. Following Dom like always was Vince, and even he looked on edge...more so that usual. Then finally came Leon and Jesse. While the Leon looked fine, it was Jesse cradling his hand that worried her.

"Oh my god, what happened?" Mia asked Jesse worryingly, jumping to her feet as the four of them headed over to them.

"Jesse got his hand caught under the engine that slipped from the hoist." Dom answered, lying through his teeth.

"I'll get some ice."

Watching as Grumbles walked off into the kitchen, Mia sat back down and patted the empty spot on the couch. "Sit down, Jesse." She told him and once he sat down next to her, she carefully took the hand and inspected it. "You want to tell me what really happened?" She whispered, not wanting Jericho to hear them.

"He was waiting for us."

Tearing her eyes from Jesse's hand, Mia looked over at Letty who took the corner of the couch. "He?"

"The Ghost."

A cold chill ran down Mia's spine at the mention of the vigilante. "W-What?"

"He was waiting for us." Letty repeated, her voice barely a whisper...and it had nothing to do with not wanting Jericho to hear. "He knows that it's us. He," The usually proud Latina faltered slightly. "He tried to cut my head off and would have done it too if Jesse hadn't punched him."

Jesse disagreed. "Not that it did much good."

"Letty's alive because of you, Jess." Dom said reassuringly, getting a small nod back from the Latina.

"We're only alive because the Ghost let us live."

From where he was sitting on the couch, Vince looked at Jesse. "And it had nothing to do with me pulling our asses out of there?"

"It's the Ghost." Leon shot back with a whisper. "Name one person you know that managed to escape from him?"

"We lost him." Vince insisted, though he sounded like he was trying to convince himself more than the others.

Letty snorted dismissively. "For the moment. Leon's right, no one escapes from him...at least not for long. We were fuckin' morons for doing this in the first place knowing that he was out there."

"It's just a small setback."

While Mia looked at her brother incredulously, Letty outright glared at him. "It's a permanent setback; at least for me. If you guys want to be fuckin' idiots and keep doing it when that murderous psychopath is on our asses then you do you, but I'm out."

"Same." Leon readily agreed with Letty.

"What about...

"I nearly had my head fuckin' cut off." Letty hissed at Dom, cutting him off. "I'm out, end of story. I'm not about to be his latest victim because..." The anger and fear in her voice subsided a little when she suddenly noticed the sleek, black game console sitting next to hers. "What's that?"

Happy to take her mind off what had happened and glad that Letty and Leon, Mia answered. "The game console that Jericho made today." She revealed surprising, but not shocking the group due to growing accustomed to him building whatever came to mind.

"Isn't that your Kingdom Hearts game?" Dom asked once things had calmed down, recognizing the pause menu of his sisters favourite game...though it looked different from what he remembered.

"Actually, it's Kingdom Hearts Final Mix; a Japanese exclusive that Dot imported and translated."

Dom looked at his sister. "You've met her?"

"No. Jericho told me that he built the console while Dot imported the games, and if Kingdom Hearts is anything to go off, she enhanced them in every way imaginable." Mia informed him as everyone listened in.

"I think I'm in love."

Leon narrowed his eyes at Jesse. "Hey, I saw her first."

"You've never seen her; none of us have."

"Point still remains." Leon shot back, refusing to back down.

It was that moment that Jericho finally returned holding a wrapped-up tea towel. Walking over to where Mia and Jesse were, he handed it to the latter. "Here."

"Thanks." Mia smiled and accepted the tea towel from Grumbles'. "Not that it's going to do much good, you need to go to the hospital, Jesse."

"Can't you do something?"

Mia offered Jesse a sympathetic look. "The best I can do is give you ice for the swelling, but that's it. I'm not a doctor."

"Not yet."

"Not ever." Mia thought to herself, still not telling Dom that she wasn't going to be a doctor...though the fact that she hadn't studied for like a week should have told him that, but he had been a little preoccupied lately. "And unless you want to it heal wrong and be in pain for the rest of your life, you need to be checked out by a trained professional."

Jesse begrudgingly nodded his head. "Okay."

"I'll take him." Six volunteered himself. While the injury had been self-inflicted by Jesse punching solid titanium, not that he knew what was under the cloak but considering that he had seen the metal covering his legs, feet and hands, he should've known that it wouldn't be exclusively on those areas; that being said, he did feel guilty that Jesse had broken his hand after his impulsive decision to punch him to free Letty.

Terrified that the Ghost would think that Grumbles was a part of the hijacking too if he saw him with Jesse so soon after, Mia tried to dissuade him. "Are you sure? I'm sure the others can...

"Everyone looks beat up." Six replied to Mia. "It must have been an arduous day at work." He added, then turned to look down at the injured party. "Ready, Jesse?"

Jesse nodded. "Yeah."

"Then let us vacate the premises."

Before Jericho or Jesse could depart, Letty spoke up. "Did you really build your own game console."

"Hm." Six confirmed through a grunt. "I found the visuals on the PlayStation inadequate."

Typically, Letty would have retorted or at the very least stuck her finger up and flipped him off, but after everything she had been through tonight and the fact that everything else he built was cutting-edge. "Got any games...other than that shit game." She asked gesturing to the game that was displayed on the television.

"If you actually gave it a chance, I bet you'd like it." Mia told Letty who snorted. "It has an amazing story and deep lore if you collect all of Ansem's reports."

"Sounds lame."

"Well, it's better than racing around a city and doing the exact same thing you do in real life."

Despite everything that had happened tonight, Letty smirked a little. "No need to be butthurt." She then looked at Jericho. "And you gonna answer my question, Gigantor?"

"You've got eyes, Leticia. Let's go, Jesse." The supersoldier told him before the two left the room.

Watching as Jesse and Jericho disappeared down the hallway and headed off to the hospital, Mia frowned. "Do you think they're going be okay?" She asked softly, not wanting Grumbles' to hear and hating the fact that they had brought trouble to his front door, quite literally too. "What if the Ghost finds them?"

"Jericho is arguably the most dangerous person in America. If anyone can handle the Ghost, it would be him." Leon reassured Mia...even if he had a hard time believing his own words after their encounter with the vigilante.

Seeing that Leon's words didn't convince Mia, Dom continued. "He'd have to catch them first; and if he takes the supercar." He trailed off reassuringly getting a small, appreciative smile from his sister as she sat back down.

"That's true." Mia concurred under her breath. "I just hate that we're dragging him into this. He's already been through enough shit as it is without us adding to it." She voiced softly, though there was a part of her that was scared that Grumbles would want nothing to do with them once he learned that they had brought the Ghost to his doorstep because they had been caught hijacking the trucks.

"This was literally the only place we could think of." Letty told Mia, suddenly feeling guilty about coming there when she remembered all the shit that Gigantor had been through without them adding to it. "It's in the middle of fuckin' nowhere; the perfect place to hide out."

"Even if it means dragging Jericho into it?" Mia asked rhetorically, a hint of anger in her tone. "And what happens if the Ghost does manage to track you down? How are we going to explain to him why he's even after you in the first place?"

Saving his girlfriend, Dom intervened. "Everything is going to be fine."

"How?! How is everything going to be fine?" Mia retorted sarcastically. "The Ghost is after you, how is that fine?" She questioned Dom rhetorically, then shoved him angrily, and again for added measure. "I told you this was going to happen, and did you listen, no, of course you didn't! And now you've got the Ghost after you. Jesse broke his hand; Letty nearly had her head cut off...

"Don't remind me."

Ignoring Letty, Mia continued. "How long until I turn on the tv or there's a knock on the door to tell me that you've all been murdered by the Ghost; that you're just his latest victims and..." She was interrupted by Dom placing a hand over hers.

"I'm gonna take care of it."

"You're not going to take care of shit, Dom." Mia snapped back at him. "What you're going to do is stop these stupid hijackings before the Ghost kills you. If you lay low, go back to just doing street races then maybe he'll leave you alone, see that you just make a stupid, impulsive decision."

"She right." Letty agreed with Mia. "He might be a fuckin' murderous nutcase but he has a code, he only kills the worst of the worse."

Vince glanced at Letty. "Then why did he come after us? It's not like we've ever hurt anyone."

"What about all the people we've drugged?"

"Exactly, we only drug them." Vince stated, answering Leon. "It's not like I put a gun to their head and blow their brains out inside the cab."

"And what about all the goods you've stolen?" Mia asked the lot of them. "What about all the businesses you're hurting?"

Dom sighed in frustration. "We're doing this for us, to give us all a better life."

"Our lives were fine as they were."

"We were barely scraping by." Dom argued back. "The only time we earned money, serious money is when I race and even then, that's only $26'000 a month. With that we have to pay the mortgage, the bills, the parts for our own cars and the clients, food for the store..."

"But things are turning around now." Mia voiced insistingly. "Today the store made over a hundred dollars, that's a hundred-dollar profit and that was only the first day; things are only going to get better. I know it's nothing compared to what you make at the races but it's a sign that things are looking up for us."

"An extra hundred dollars a day isn't going to help us; we need this money."

"We could always get Gigantor to upgrade the garage." Letty suggested, cutting in before Mia could say anything. "If he can update the store and actually bring customers into it then think about what he could do to the garage."

"We could even sell those parts for him." Leon proposed. "Forget The Racer's Edge, people would be lining up outside to get those high-performance parts that Jericho and his sexy aunt make."

Letty wrinkled her nose. "You need help."

"No, I don't. I can handle her all by myself."

While the room groaned and wrinkled their noses at Leon's weird aunt fetish, Dom decided to move the conversation along. "And you think that Jericho is just going to give us the parts?"

"Who said anything about give?" Letty questioned rhetorically. "People are more likely buy parts off us than some rando, and we get a small cut for doing so. He gets paid, we get paid, everyone's happy."

"Look around, you really think that Jericho cares about earning money?" Leon asked her.

Looking at Leon, Letty answered. "We could try and convince him; better yet we could get Mia to convince him. Speaking of which, were you two snuggling when we walked in?"

"No. Although, he does make for a comfortable pillow." Mia remarked with a smirk.

Letty smirked back. "Damn. Alright, new bet. I bet a hundred that Gigantor and Mia will be together in another...two weeks."

"You can't just say two weeks, it's gotta be precise." Leon declared firmly.

"What, you want me to say on July 4th at two o'clock?" Letty shot back sarcastically. "You want some of this action V?" She asked him.

Vince scowled a little. "No." While Jericho was alright, especially compared to the fuckin' pig that was hanging around with them, he couldn't help but feel a little jealous at how close he and Mia had gotten in the last two weeks.

"Oh, c'mon. At least this time you're not gonna get your ass handed to you."

Vince response by flipping Leon off.

"If you two are finished flirting," Letty smirked as Leon and Vince either swore or flipped her off. "Let's see this game console." Picking up the controller that was resting on the couch, one that like the console that Gigantor made was sleek and wireless only for it to be snatched out of her hand. "Oi!"

Mia smirked as she took the controller back. "Just let me get to save point and then you can have it back." She said and fortunately for Letty, there was one right where she was standing. Walking on the pad, she saved the game before handing it back to her.

Taking the controller back, Letty wasted no time in checking Gigantor's game console...but a problem arose. "How do I quit the game?" She asked after pressing the quit button only to be taken back to the main menu.

"Isn't there a quit button?"

"Do you see one?"

Mia pretended not to hear her sarcastic retort. "You could try switching...

"What's that?"

"What's what?" Letty asked Leon.

"That." Leon replied pointing at the button that was in the middle at the top of the controller with Letty pressing it and watched as the television changed and was replaced with a menu screen that had several boxes with the largest displaying the Kingdom Hearts game and another underneath that said Games and Applications.

Slowly navigating through the menu, Letty clicked on Games and Applications and found herself smiling when she saw a list of the games that they had brought up with the PlayStation and dozens more. "Gigantor's outdone himself again."

"Actually, I think that Jericho only made the console, it was Dot that imported all the games."

"Be still my beating heart."

"I think we're gonna need to get a restraining order on you if we ever meet this Dot." Dom remarked lightly as he watched as Letty skimmed through the games that were installed on the game console that Jericho had built.

"Which I hope we do soon."

Letty agreed with Mia. "Right. This place feels like a total sausage fest, we need some more woman in this place."

"And I bet she's a woman." Leon said making the others groan at his proclamation. "Stop judging me!"

"You don't even know what she looks."

Leon answered Dom. "And that's part of the appeal." He nodded sagely as Letty stopped on Need For Speed Underground and selected it. "But it doesn't matter. Even if she's ugly or a bit on the large side, she's still an aunt; that's enough for me."

"You're such a gentleman."

"It is one of my better traits." Leon agreed with Mia who rolled her eyes as the game started up, and much quicker than it usually did.

"Yeah, well be careful."

"Don't worry, I'll use protection."

Fighting back a sigh, Dom continued. "I meant from Jericho." He clarified for Leon. "Jokes aside, he'll probably beat you senseless if you end up hurting his friend."

"I'm just fuckin' around, I ain't gonna hurt her...unless she's into that sort of thing." Leon added, then seemed to think about it. "I mean, it's not really my thing but if she wants to dominate me then I am not opposed to it."

"Oh, shut up, man!"

"Cowards."

Trying not to laugh, Letty loaded up a new game only to be blown away. "Holy shit." She blurted out as the cutscenes started playing, ones that they had all watched a million times before only nothing like what they were seeing on the screen. It wasn't just the cutscenes, the second that the game began to play they were all taken aback at how realistic the graphics looked compared to the version that they knew.

The graphics looked ultra-realistic making everything look real. The city looked larger, clearer, and felt alive as the city lights reflected off the car and the sound of the engines reverberating through the speakers. There were even people on the sidewalk that weren't just thrown in and standing there but were acting like real people, reacted like real people would as the cars raced past them.

"Man, this is awesome." Leon voiced his amazement as he watched Letty raced through the city on the extremely upgraded Need for Speed.

Her eyes never leaving the screen, Letty agreed. "Right. Much better than that stupid Kingdom Hearts."

"It's a good game." Mia insisted, stanchly defending her favourite game. "And FYI, it's Kingdom Hearts Final Mix."

"Whatever."

"Have a good day." Mia smiled at another satisfied customer, a sentiment that she never imagined would be possible. If somebody had told her just a couple of weeks ago that they would have business again she would have laughed, yet here she was on a Tuesday afternoon working in a store that was filled with happy customers.

It had been a little challenging since unlike yesterday she was on her own. Dom, Leon, and Vince had headed off to wherever it was they had left their cars and encountered the Ghost; normally they would have gone out at night but since that was when the Ghost came out, they had no choice but to go out during the day despite knowing the risks.

Jesse's hand was in a cast, the doctors confirming after the X-Ray that it was broken meaning that he couldn't drive and certainly couldn't do Race Wars next weekend, something that bummed him out. Brian was working at his own job but would probably be up tonight. Letty refused to go anywhere, choosing to stay at Jericho's and test out the game console and the games that were on it...even if the truth was that she was scared shitless of the Ghost; not that she'd ever admit it.

As for Grumbles, he didn't want to scare away any customers on account of being an unattractive sight; they really needed to work on his confidence and stop him thinking so little about himself all the time.

Hearing footsteps, Mia looked over to the entrance and smiled when Dom entered the store alone. "Hey." She greeted him warmly. "Want a coffee?"

"I'm guessing a cold beer is out of the question." Dom remarked quietly, not wanting to disturb the customers. While the store certainly looked better, the fact that they actually had customers showed that, it was still annoying that he couldn't get a cold one there anymore.

"Afraid so."

"Go on then."

Grabbing a cup from the cupboard, Mia turned and walked over to the large coffee machine that had been working non-stop. "Just you?" She asked as she started making him his drink.

"Leon and Vince are at the garage, working on fixing the Maxima." Dom voiced softly, alluding to the fact that the roof had been ripped open, effortlessly too by the Ghost and why they had stashed it away up the road from Jericho's so that he wouldn't see it and ask what had happened to it; luckily for them he didn't ask where their cars were when he got back with Jesse last night.

Walking back over with his coffee, Mia place it on the counter. "So?" She whispered softly, carefully looking around to make sure that nobody was listening in.

"There weren't there."

Mia frowned slightly. "What do you mean they weren't there?" She asked quietly, her voice barely a whisper as she leaned in so nobody could hear them.

"I mean they were gone." Dom replied in a hushed whisper. "There was nothing there. Not the cars, not even the glass from the windscreen shattering, nothing. It's like we were never there."

"...so, what does this mean?"

Dom sighed defeated as he looked down at his coffee. "I don't know." He confessed to his sister, feeling completely out of his element right now. "I really don't know."

And cut! And here is the next chapter of The Furious Wolf and the aftermath of Dom, Leon, Letty, and Vince's encounter with the Ghost. I hoped you all enjoyed it, even if nothing really happened this chapter.

Not really much to say other than let me know what you all thought.
