Two thumbs crossed with each other, a bout of impatience and excitement for what will transpire had arrived for the General. It was the big day when they'd finally know if Project RTTT was a possible solution to their woes.

"So, they are now allowed toward that location. Let's see if our little 'special' special operative can handle this task, as much as I hate sending children to a battle. Let's hope you won't get any reprimands from the government."

Ozpin chuckled a bit from that. "Bold of you to assume I follow the rules, James. I bend them to the limits. Team RWBY has gotten more than enough members to make them part of our fight, whether they know it or not and... there's more, James."

Ironwood raises an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"It seems tanks are not the only things coming to this world. I have a friend that has discovered an anomaly near Patch. If I recall, finding these machines are problematic for us because of their innate and powerful ability to separate themselves from this reality."

"We already sent small parties to search the world for any other evidence of machines that come from Earth and from the nations described. None have come up but may I ask, who discovered this anomaly?"

Ozpin nodded and took out his scroll. "Taiyang Xiao Long. Father of Ruby Rose and Yang Xiao Long, and now... the person who saw what looked like a ship in the middle of the sea. Only for it to disappear."

"A ship? Our airspace is protected near and all around Vale!"

"Not an airship, James. A warship... I didn't even think that it could get transported here. Judging by Taiyang's photo, it's huge, not even the biggest seafaring vessel can compare. It's only a silhouette, but this proves we may be receiving more than just small vehicles."

A photo was shown on the scroll, with a beep it displayed the image on a larger screen, it was blurry but Ironwood could see the massive frame amongst the mist. What caught more of Ironwood's attention was the colour of the flag.

"It's tiny but... reds and whites? What nation do you think that is, Oz?"

"Hmm... perhaps..." Ozpin pauses, tilting his head slightly upwards as his mind recalled as much information as he had. "...the land of the rising sun."

"The Empire of Japan," Ironwood confirmed.

As groups of students gathered in the amphitheatre, Team RWBY, minus Ruby and her tanks, had a small talk with their sister team. It was still a bit earlier than the announcement was to begin. Not that they needed to pick a mission since they already had one ready for them, thanks to Ruby.

Minutes went by and Ruby came back in a blur of petals. Bringing her tanks back out, they were filled and ready with munitions and fuel. How they could reload and do stuff inside was a magic-filled experience, no one would bother to ask at this point.

Iosif was reaching heaven, or hell if you think about it, earlier events were still seared into his memory. It was easy figuring out something had happened between Jaune and Pyrrha, at least to him and another certain blonde.

"Hey, Jaune." Iosif approached him under the seam, surprising the recently turned Vomit Man as he picked him up and hid him in his pocket.

"Wh-what?" Jaune stutters, knowing full well what he had done yesterday night.

"What's up with you? Where is all that bravery I got from you when you bagged-"

"Stop!" Jaune screamed. Making everyone within a 10-meter radius turn to the blonde frantically trying to apologize. "Oh uhhh sorry!"

Jaune cups his hands and whispers to his pocket, which could be seen as weird but people had seen weirder from the two teams of JNPR and RWBY. "Listen, please don't say anything. I was too… I don't know how to say it… daring."

"Do you regret it?" Iosif bluntly asked.

Jaune denied it almost as soon as Iosif finished his simple question. "No, not at all. I realize now how much Pyrrha has been helping me out. I've been such an idiot for not seeing it, I kept chasing Weiss all the time not realizing Pyrrha was right by me. I'm really thankful that you made me motivated enough. I never would have thought someone like her would actually… like me."

Iosif was in a taunting mood. "Heh... Was that before or after you f-"

"Stop!" Jaune screamed again, earning another surprised and annoyed look from the nearby students as he apologized. "Uh… sorry again!" Jaune continued. "I might just be saying this because I…"

"Got frisky? Tussled in the hay? Rocked the boat? Broke your backs? Made her tickle the pickle and ploughed the peach?"

Jaune blushed. "...that." he quickly recovered. "But I really appreciate what you and Pyrrha have done. I was always the odd one out from my family, hard to not be odd when you're living with 7 sisters-"

"Holy, thank God you're not someone like Sherman," Iosif mentions. If the incest shipping American got the chance to hear about how Jaune had 7 sisters, Iosif would make sure to shoot through the bastard.

"-What does that mean?" Jaune asked, not knowing Sherman, Iosif, and Tiger had been making them all get together. "Nevermind that. I've always felt lacking, I never thought someone like me would accomplish anything. Even when I got here, I was living a lie. When it got out to Cardin, I felt hopeless but everyone got me out of that mess."

Jaune smiled at the experience. "Now... I just want to return the favour. So, anyway… thanks, again. Seriously, you've done so much for me to do what needed to be done."

"No worries, Comrade." Iosif got let out of the pocket but stopped Jaune with another question. "Hey, Jaune…" When Jaune stopped and listened closely, Iosif asked the most important question. "How was it?"

Jaune could feel another instance of heat rising from his face as he quietly walked away from the people around him and whispered. "Oh… Pyrrha is scary when she controls metal."

A creak of metal signalled a cue of understanding from Iosif's end. "So that's why the cuffs were there. I never knew Pyrrha was that kind of person. That explains why she trains you to death."

"Ahem... Let us not speak of this."

Iosif drove back to his own team where the group had been talking away most of the time. They were separated from JNPR and not in line with each other, as soon as Iosif came and Ruby kneeled to pick him up and let him stay in the palm of her hands. Weiss raised the issue further.

"What was up with Pyrrha and Jaune, Iosif? I haven't seen them both since yesterday." The heiress asked while Yang chortled at the question.

"Don't worry about that." Iosif deflected. "Though, I'm guessing with Yang's smirk that she already guessed something happened."

"You could say that…" Yang tried desperately to hide her immense amusement. "...not anything specific though."

"Are you two going to tell us or not?" Weiss impatiently demanded, making her heels clack on the ground faster at the restlessness.

Iosif was a good wingman. What happened in the dorms stays within the dorms. "Nope, it's better to leave them alone, who knows if they would appreciate us looking at them?"

"Now that you say that…" Weiss narrows her eyes on the redhead, who smiles and waves in return after seeing Weiss squint in her general direction. "Pyrrha is a bit… smiley more than usual. How is Jaune involved in this?"

"I guess Pyrrha just knows how to attract someone's attention?" Yang once again displayed her amazing ability to make everyone groan.

"That's not even answering my question." Weiss joined in on heckling Yang.

"Well, you know how there's a monument in France called the Arc of Triumph? I guess today marks the day a monument was built as well!" Iosif exclaimed, not making everyone get it apart from the tanks, who now realized what happened between the two in JNPR.

Tiger had a hard time taking Iosif's words. "Mein Gott, Jaune really did that? Did I just lose even though I was nearly winning? This is like the eastern front all over again."

"Hah!" Sherman taunted.

"You didn't even get your targets to last the entire day so don't get cocky with me. Iosif was the one who defeated me, not you! But since you're American, I won't be surprised if you took credit."

Yang fist-bumped the tank, maybe someone could get her sense of humour too. "I don't even know what that is but I feel a sense of camaraderie right now, Iosif!"

"You mean… Comrade-rie!" Iosif let it roll. He might as well deflect and annoy the hell out of his other tanks.

"Fuck sake, even the Soviet got bad jokes now! You kill enough people in the work camps, the last thing we need is more pain." Tiger groaned in frustration.

"Maybe we could get some more people in after what Jaune had done." Iosif comments, it fell on unknowing ears aside from Yang and the tanks.

"Hah, like who? Weiss?" Yang remarked.

Weiss snapped. "What's this about?!"

"It's going to be more than just painful, Tiger. It's gonna be harem-full!" Iosif continued the joke, further making Yang hurt her stomach from laughing while the others were dumbfounded at the joke.

Tiger tried shutting the conversation down, it was too many puns in one day. "Ok, enough of the bad word puns, nobody would appreciate that kind of humour. Everyone is going to get the wrong idea."

"It's not the wrong idea, Tiger-"

"Don't you dare!"

"-It's the Reich idea!"

"I'm going to kill you."

"Quiet, quiet please." an announcement arrived from Glynda, the mic picking up her warning before continuing, making the teams stand near one another and putting forth their concentration on the stage in front. "Professor Ozpin would like to share a few statements before we begin."

Ozpin took her place, the mic ringing and humming before settling the entire room into silence. With his cane tapping the ground, he spoke.

"Today, we are united as ever. Mistral, Vacuo, Atlas, Vale, and… beyond. These are the various nations coinciding in Remnant, on this day nearly 8 decades ago the largest war in recorded history ended. A war that came at the cost of everything yet began with nothing more than just ignorance, greed and oppression… perhaps in another time, this would only be the causes-" Ozpin glanced at team RWBY, making everyone know who Ozpin was addressing. "-a war that was more about where territories were bound or who engaged in diplomatic and trade with another but about the very idea of individualism, the way we express ourselves was under attack, the destruction of what made us who we are. We fought for countless reasons, one of which was the destruction of all forms of art and self-expression, as you know, many did not agree with the threat. Those who opposed this tyranny rose up and fought by naming their children after one of the core ideas of art itself, colour. It was their way to show that not only will they be the ones resisting their oppression but for the next generation to do so as well. This tradition is continued to this day. We encourage that kind of self-expression, even in the diverse roles we play, we stand united. As I have said before, today we are one… but this effort those not come out of nowhere, while the rest of the world celebrates peace, huntsmen and huntresses will uphold that peace. As first-year students, you are tasked with shadowing a professional huntsman or huntress on a mission, it may take days or weeks, within or beyond the walls but no matter what fate you have been pushed towards, don't forget to be safe, to remember your training, and to do your very best."

Ozpin walked off, it was surprising seeing the headmaster relaxed and serious for a long time. Even the others were clapping at the end of the speech which led to a little discussion within the ranks of the tanks.

"Hmm, do you think some of that was directed at us?" Sherman asked.

Tiger answered. "Definitely, he said nations… not kingdoms like they are, he's considering us sovereigns from Earth, we tanks represent the nation we swear our life to. Meaning… he's addressing the wars we have fought and talking directly to us. Unity in diversity… an unrealistic concept."

All of Team RWBY wanted to oppose that notion, the years of peace that lasted between the kingdoms was proof that it could work… but in Earth's case… perhaps it was true. Who else fought major wars one after the other, despite knowing well what war causes? No one else but Earth-born humans.

"Maybe it's unrealistic because you didn't try?" Ruby tried to convince the various Earth-made tanks but to no avail. Each one had the same outlook, never would they trust each other. Diversity was the truth between them, unity was only a lie.

Sherman sighed. "Ruby, countless times there has been an attempt but it will be stuck as an attempt. Earth fought more wars with each other than in Remnant's history and killed more than the population of Remnant several times over, the things we do to one another will never be forgotten, our history tells us much. You in Remnant have monsters roaming the land but as for us… monsters already exist, just not in the form you recognize."

Their conversation was interrupted when Ozpin hummed in thought. "Hmm… I do not pin myself as a studious man but I relegated some of my time to discovering what you all come from, particularly what you all have experienced, it's not comparable to our history, I can admit. It's why I want to make the same does not happen to us too."

"Ozpin?!" Everyone turned their heads at the smiling man.

"Hello, Team RWBY, Tiger, Iosif, Sherman, Centurion and Pershing. Are you ready for your special assignment?"

"Yes!" Ruby almost leapt at the excitement, actually, she did just now. "Thank you, professor!"

Ozpin chuckled. "I'm flattered but do not thank me for this, your efforts as a team carried you this far. I won't take credit for what you have done to yourselves, your teamwork and training had done well but remember, the wider world outside the walls won't care, stick close to your huntsman and… protect your team… tanks."

"You have no idea what lengths they would do to protect us." Ruby comments.

"I'm sure they will. Good luck, all of you."

As the team walked outside, ready to meet their leading huntsman, each had a different feel about the conversation with Ozpin. They knew how dangerous it could be.

"Well that was uplifting, who knew comments on how we are going to possibly die is so motivating?" Yang quips.

"Psh, we can handle it. Right guys?" Ruby asked her tanks, in response everyone agreed in their own languages before the quartet of girls stopped when the sight of someone entered their eyes.

"That's high coming from a bunch of first-years. You sure you won't be surprised when you can't take on more than you can handle?"

"Coco? What brings you here?" Ruby asked.

Coco saunters over with an appreciative nod as she eyes every member. "Just a simple good luck to you all. We did finish our own mission earlier than we had thought, even though it was supposed to end a week ago. We were surprised when that time had been cut down thanks to your tanks, so I want to thank you while you leave for your own mission. No pun intended. By the way, this is just a small tip from us second-years, expect the worst. Your tanks can be good but think of everything that could go wrong, just so you can prepare when it finally happens. Oh and Velvet says hi, Centurion."

"Ah, a pleasant thanks. Return the favour for me, will you? If it's not much trouble, lady Coco." The British tank responds, eliciting a nod from the leader of CFVY.

As Coco left, the team was once again downtrodden by her words. Ruby cheered them up with her own words of encouragement. "Don't worry girls! We won't back down now nor will start doubting ourselves! Besides, we're shadowing a genuine huntsman!"

"Don't forget us," Tiger says.

"Sorry, we have the tanks as well! This couldn't possibly go wrong right?"

"Who's ready to fight for their lives and possibly perish under very natural and somewhat unnatural causes while we travel Grimm-infested wasteland?!"

"Oh, I heard him! It's Doctor Oobleck."

Sherman explained. "We know, Tiger. Our life stories had been shared with him so it's not a surprise that we are all acquainted. I think Team RWBY knows him too, considering they're groaning or half-dead already."

"Ya'll know this… person? I can't understand what he's saying, I think I heard something about him earning his PhD?" Pershing continued to talk, it was increasingly difficult to follow the conversation. "I hear JNPR and those foreign exchange students."

"Y'know, Pershing. I think we can all agree, not everyone can understand someone high on caffeine, I can't believe he gets ten times the daily recommended dose."

"Makes you think of how much the headmaster takes in, he's so calm compared to him. I bet he'd be much better when calming down, nobody I knew… er… my crew knew someone would talk so fast."

"If only you knew, Pershing. Ozpin snorted coffee that one time and it was hilarious, still, I get that Ozpin speaks much calmer than Doctor Oobleck, even when he's high on mega-caffeine. I remember when first explaining what I knew about American history and all, you should speak to him eventually."

"I'd rather not be tangled in some menagerie of words, Sherman. From one American to another, I'd rather let folk speak slowly, it gives words more meaning when it's heard."

"Huh… that's a lot of wisdom."

The ship's whirrs filled the air, Team JNPR, Neptune and Sun had said their shot farewells and good lucks. The journey toward the dangerous quadrant had already seen its road bump, in the form of…talking.

"Man, this guy talks more than any of our leaders. Even Weiss looks like a lost puppy when trying to keep up, good thing this isn't a lesson." Tiger mentions, looking at Team RWBY with pity.

The tanks were grounded on the far edge of the bullhead, a long conversation on the history of the abandoned city of Mountain Glenn, they heard. Most of them were already feeling sorry for the girls, especially when Oobleck started cross-connecting Mountain Glenn with some of Earth's history of settlements.

It felt like a lecture and Pershing was surprised, impressed and scared. "You got that right, and that's without taking a breath. I'd be darned to try and explain to him our founding fathers, he'd be listening but as soon as I'm done, he'd repeat it back to me three times as fast to see if he remembered everything."

"Deplorable." Centurion narrows his… headlights? At the man drinking so much of the brown beverage from a thermos.

The others look at him in curiosity. "What're you finding deplorable, Centurion?"

"You won't understand, Pershing. It's coffee, the inferior drink to glorious tea and the number one reason why I don't like this person already. I can tolerate lady Rose being dependent on the energy to survive a classroom but this doctor intakes it for fun!"

The tanks wanted to roll their eyes, well they did but it was their turrets.

"That's what you're focused on?"

"Of course! I often find my crew debating with Americans and other participants of the Korean War on the differences between tea drinkers and coffee drinkers! Asia is bountiful in tea and it's the reason why we conquered part of it in the first place, there's a reason why Asia is advanced in certain aspects compared to the simpletons who drink coffee!"

"Who's side are you on? Westerners or the Asians?"

"The side of the British Empire, Pershing."

"Typical leaf sucker." Tiger snarked. "Looks like we're descending, let's get ourselves to Ruby before we leave them all behind."

As the bullhead closed in on their destination, it took no time for the team to carry one of the tanks along and jump down in a fighting stance. Expecting the worse to come from the get-go.

"Ladies, you may be students but at this very moment, you are all huntresses. This is your first mission and quite the special one too! From this point forward, you listen to all my commands without deviation! Ruby!" Oobleck declares.

The frightened team leader jumps back a bit, her backpack suspiciously shifting when she did so. "I-umm what? I'm not hiding anything! Nothing canine, I swear!"

"Ruby, you would make a great French Resistance fighter," Tiger remarked, his barrel going downwards from the slight disappointment he had for Ruby and keeping quiet.

"Is that sarcasm?" Iosif asked.

"No, I'd love a prisoner who blurts out as much information as Ruby."

Oobleck had a glint from his glasses, the sun wasn't even shining down on them so the glint was purely out of Oobleck's suspicions. "Young lady, what in the world could you possibly have in that bag that necessitates you to carry it all the way-"

"Woof!" a series of pants from Zwei echoed, the silence was deafening and the rest of the team facepalmed and looked on with half-hearted smiles.

"Ehehe~ get back in the bag."

"We're here to investigate an abandoned urban landscape, full of death and hostility the likes of students can't even comprehend and you brought… a dog?"

"No… it's just… uhh… a weirdly shaped… tank?"

"Genius!" Oobleck basically speeds his way into yanking the dog out of its hiding place and twirls around with knowledge spouting from his mouth. "Canines are historically known for their amazing sense of smell and heightened hearing, making them excellent companions for hunts such as ours!"

"Woof!"

Ruby had a fiendish smirk. "Heh… I'm a genius~"

The rest of team RWBY responded much like before… this time having both their palms covering their faces at the young leader's antics.

"So, aside from this… what are your orders, doctor?"

"Ah! Yes, straight to the point, I like it! As you have been advised, the southeast area is marked as a recent gathering point for Grimm activity. There are several reasons for this behaviour but one I'd like to share is that there are simply more things for Grimm to be attracted to, mainly negative emotions! Also, there is one right now ahead of us at approximately 90 meters."

""What?!""

Team RWBY whips around, and the tanks enlarge, enough to make a single volley of explosive shells ready to rip and tear into the Grimm who dare to venture forth towards their location. Oobleck stopped everyone with a single order.

"Hold your fire, there is a reason why I called this particular one out. If my assumption is correct, this could possibly lead us to where this problem has been occurring, Grimm are naturally attracted to all types of negativity, sadness, envy, loneliness, and hatred, all qualities that our wicked group hiding their malicious objective may contain."

"So, what now?" Ruby asked.

"We wait, if we track, this specimen will directly lead us to its pack and afterwards, the pack to our prey."

"Fair'nuff." Pershing agreed. "Won't it take a long time though?"

"A good reasoning, Mr Pershing. It may take minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or years. It's uncertain and I am astute to assume the worst case wherein we stand and sit for a long time in the rain or in turmoil while we wait for- and there's the whole pack."

A group of Grimm follow the original individual, the complete shock and relief of the others. "Huh… maybe not." Ruby joked.

"Indeed, Miss Rose and now they've seen us."

"What?" Weiss shrieked.

"I said that the pack is now barreling towards us at an increased speed while snarling and imaging what our flesh would taste like if we finally get caught."

"What?!"

"I said, they have seen us!"

"And now they soon won't, ready up boys. We'll be home by Christmas!" Tiger declared, to the agreement of most of the other tanks. I mean… who else can face 5 heavily armed tanks without a counter?

"Stop!" Oobleck announces. "I believe that letting the girls take care of them and show their skills as future huntresses would be more beneficial in the long run. Additionally, the allocation of all your fuel and shells is limited, so at large, we must exercise restraint when using up ammunition! Mr Tiger would know this very well in his experience in the North Africa Campaign and your subsequent generations of similar Tiger tanks on the eastern front!"

"...He's got a point," Tiger admits. "There are more times I face more enemies than I have ammunition, we should hold back a bit, no?"

The day went on with constantly fighting off increasing numbers of Grimm. The tanks were getting bored out of their minds, they were war veterans with an itch for kills. It's what they were made for, literally. The tanks had been waiting for a long time inside each of everyone's pockets, with the intent to save on fuel, each of them heard a very interesting input from the girls towards their reasons for being a huntress.

Periodically, Oobleck would be alone and ask them personal questions regarding their character.

Yang was the thrill seeker which everyone agreed was kind of similar to them too.

Weiss wanted to prove herself, which was understandable to the tanks.

Blake's desire to stop all the wrong in the world yet seemed uncertain as to how to do it.

Ruby had… chicken and also the rest of the tanks were with her since the other girls were tasked with setting up camp for the night. Oobleck led her as they reached the edge of the city, a howl of Grimm came from the distance as Ruby was in awe at the size of the lads. Each of them easily towered over the trees while a large line of them stomped, their earth quaking steps being recognized and felt.

"Woah. What are those?! They look so massive!"

"Those… are Grimm. Specifically, the Goliaths, living for hundreds of years, they've learned not to take their chances on dying by engaging with any humans. For a long time, they have attacked and died, in that time they have done the most important evolutionary trait, they learned." Oobleck answered.

"Alright, you heard the man, let's kill some native and endangered species for sport!" Iosif yelled and drove up the sides of Ruby's pocket to get out and enlarge himself to full size, the others following Iosif's example. "If they won't bother us now… they definitely will later, we've learned to squash problems before they get too big."

"I concur!"

"Agreed!"

"Ja!"

Pershing had the peaceful route open and decided it could be a route to pursuit. "Well, they ain't attacking us for now since they are peaceful. I can't attack something that's not a present threat and all."

"...So native, endangered and innocent? Sweet! The trifecta!" Iosif declared, making Pershing want to sigh from the way the other tanks were being battle starved.

"Oh! Oh! Can I join?" Ruby lets out her rifle in preparation.

Sherman had to break the bad news. "Sorry Ruby, they are too big for you, maybe you could get a bigger gun next time. I don't think a thing that big could get damaged by a rifle round, your welcome to enter me and shoot mine though. We always have big guns, so trust in that!"

"That's because you're American, everything is bigger, even your ego." Iosif hissed.

"At least we have things to eat, I recall most of your history having famines!"

"We have free healthcare and education!"

"You can have your healthcare, we got guns for everyone."

"You might have guns but we have them too… just pointed at the back of your head and maybe in front of you too if you're lucky."

"We have a better climate!

"Well… actually that's kind of true-"

"Hah!"

"-But at least we don't have segregation!"

"You probably have minorities in work camps toiling away in Siberia! Where did all those workers come from, huh?"

"Ok, actually most of us here have that kind of problem right? Being a bit too racist and all?"

Everyone nods, some slowly, the others accepting their reality and nodding their barrels instantly. Oddly, Centurion wasn't one to agree. The others noticed it and Iosif immediately interrogated the British main battle tank.

"Centurion, you're lying. There's no way the British Empire wasn't treating some minorities with unfairness. Didn't you have like 25% of the world back at your height of power?"

"That's the point, we owned a lot of lands and judged a lot of other people, we treat everyone unequally, even some of my own mates - and when everyone's unequal, no one is."

"Actually, that does make sense…"

Sherman made the move to smack the Soviet tank with a small tap from the side. "Don't buy into his words! That's how the Brits get you!"

Tiger groaned at the conversation. "Can we all just start chasing down and killing these monstrous things from a distance? Well, maybe except for Sherman. You should really get the Firefly upgrade."

"Hell no! I won't make myself not American! But, I do agree, my calibre might not be good enough at this range but I can get closer… might be too much for me though but with some help, I'll get it done!"

Tiger turned to both the doctor and Ruby. "Doctor Oobleck, permission to eliminate potential threats? If they are not attacking, they might after. Idle threats are threats nonetheless, when we have the tools to eliminate Grimm, we may do it with efficiency, all we need is your word… and Ruby's."

Oobleck thought about it, his eyes behind his glasses erratically looking around the tanks and the Goliaths in the distance "Hmm… very well. While I believe wasting effort on destroying such specimens with no real reason other than precaution, that precaution may end up saving lives. Not all Grimm are mindless but if I am to be certain, the only permanent thing in this world is change. They are waiting, I just know it, perhaps it's not a risk not worth taking. Ruby! Come with me while your friends massacre what they can!"

Pershing was reluctant to follow through on the extermination. "I don't know about this, killing Grimm sounds nice but they ain't bothering no one other than the wildlife. Won't they be good subjects to study and follow around-"

"They are made of oil." Iosif lies, everyone expected it to not work but for many of them, it may not come as much of a surprise at all. They had been hearing about the future generation of Americans hungering for more of the liquid black gold.

'"Oil?"

"Oil?!"

"Oil!"

Pershing blows through the rubble and follows the slope they were on, it was like a trigger had been created for the Pershing tank as soon as Iosif said those magical three words to make any American go to war.

"Simple-minded, I swear the lot of you have so little restraint on buzz words like oil-"

"Oh look, an uninhabited island in the middle of nowhere that the Goliaths are in the way of!" Iosif once again played them like a fiddle.

"Island?"

"Uninhabited Island?!"

"Rule Britannia!"

That night, Team RWBY had an awakening to their own motivations, brought to focus by their energetic and coffee-driven professor- erm… doctor. They were also hearing the distance sounds of howls and salvos of cannon fire in the distance.

Tonight, the tanks had a blast. No pun intended.

A whine from metal grinding gears echoed to himself. His metallic frame and engines wanting flare up and search but he's been stuck on the abandoned path where civilization used to prosper and travel through. Now it lay in waste as a tank hidden by the seams and idling around becomes attentive, despite being slow and heavy, every tank had a feeling that connected them to a certain goal.

"Ruby..." he utters.

With less fuel than he can use and ammunition still full from not firing, a tank almost breaching the 200-ton mark lies in wait.

"I can feel... others..."

He shut off his thoughts, waiting and being patient for when the moment would come.

"People are here. Not going to take long."
