Hi! Yarn Kitty here! I apologize greatly for the tremendous wait for a new chapter on this story. But I'm still here and writing more chapters!

Also, thank you so much Memelord16 and victoriashivers724 for favoriting this story! I really appreciate your support!

Since it's summer time, I'll hopefully get back on track and post a chapter a week or weekend to keep y'all entertained.

So . . . here's chapter 4!

Still Kenji's (POV)

Without any hesitation, I turn on my heel and sprint as fast as my legs will take me toward my treehouse.

Digging my feet into the compact Earth beneath me, I can still feel the transformer staring cold at my tiny form. But I don't look back.

The treehouse is in sight, but it's very far away. My friends are calling my name desperately because they don't know where I am. Gosh, I should've told them.

Furiously, I pick up speed down a shallow slope and boost forward, despite the agonizing pain in my legs.

A minute later, I reach the ladder and swiftly climb it.

All of my friends already seem to know what's happening because they're hiding behind tables and chairs, their eyes wide as the moon in terror.

Ben momentarily exposes himself from cover to haul me behind the counter. Everyone puts their index fingers to their lips, gesturing to me to be quiet. I obediently follow and seal my lips.

The trees rustle and I can feel a strange vibration in the air.

Then, that same yellow machine dislodges from the jungle, knocking down any trees in its way.

Brooklynn gasps, tears pricking in her eyes.

The machine is so huge, it could stomp on all of us with one foot at the same time. No wonder Brooklynn's so terrified. I think we should all be.

I glance around at my other friends. To my surprise, Darius looks genuinely intrigued at this mysterious appearance. He's pulling out his field guide and jotting down the behavior and features of this transformer.

The best we can hope for is that this robot doesn't have super eyesight. Maybe if it doesn't find what it's looking for, it'll leave within a matter of minutes.

But the thing stays, its feet planted in the grass. The yellow machine places two fingers on the side of its head and mumbles something I can't hear.

But I know the idea of what it mumbled when a jungle green transformer emerges behind the yellow one, followed by a pink and another yellow-orange transformer.

What is happening? I only have time to think that one thought when something falling from the sky catches my attention. A red and blue machine comes from nowhere and plants its robotic feet on the ground.

These five transformers could kill everything on this island including us. Now Darius starts looking worried because he's slipping the notebook into his back pocket, but keeping his eyes on the transformers.

What are we going to do? I mouth to my fellow campers, who glance in my direction. Yaz and Sammy grit their teeth and shake their heads.

I suppose we're all unsure of what to do or where to go since nothing like this has ever happened to any of us before.

It's bad enough that they know we're here since I led them to us.

We all just keep our eyes on the five transformers, hoping that they won't find or hurt us.

I hope they just found the wrong place and are going to move on soon. But just as I think that, the red and blue robot raises his ginormous bazooka, and points it at our tree house.

Brooklynn's eyes are now pouring buckets of tears and the boys scoot forward, shielding the girls. I move myself in front of Brooklynn and hear a clicking noise.

I don't even have time to wonder what that could be before I'm sent flying, and land in the midst of an explosion.

So that was chapter 4! I hope y'all enjoyed reading it! I tried to make a suspenseful cliffhanger, so let me know if I did a good job!

I may have gotten the sizing of the transformers a little off. I don't think transformers are that big, but I made it like that for the sake of this story.

Let me know your thoughts in the reviews! Chapter 5 will hopefully be out next weekend or a little before if I have time. Thank you for reading!
