Hi Guys, so here's chapter 2 for you!
Let me know what you think!
Shimmying off her costume after the launch show filming, she Draco, Angelina, Peter, Seamus, and Lindsay decided to go for a drink after and get better acquainted.
Thanking Georgina, as she slipped back into her own clothes, she left the costume department, leaving her make-up and hair exactly as it had been for the show, minus the hair accessory which had been borrowed from the costume department.
Strolling to hair and make-up she caught up with the rest of the group, smiling as she linked hands with Angelina once more.
"Where're we headed then?" Hermione asked, as the group began heading towards the large green room, all 6 collecting their remaining belongings which had been abandoned here before the show.
"There's a quiet pub around the corner, where we shouldn't be disturbed, that way the news of our pairings shouldn't leak to the press" Peter said, and the group nodded.
"Just remember, you've got to drive home tonight, Seamus!" Hermione laughed, her friend turning red at her words as he recalled the situation she was hinting at.
"I get the feeling there's a story here" Draco said, laughing lightly.
"Oh there is, and I'll tell it gladly!" Hermione laughed.
Together the group left the studios, walking for 10 minutes before they all huddled into a quaint pub, the 6 of them sliding into a small booth in the back of the establishment, keeping themselves clear from prying eyes, being as discreet as possible.
"So, this story then?" Lindsay asked.
"Oh, Seamus and I were out with some friends from school, and he, in his infinite wisdom, had decided to drive to meet us, instead of getting the train or something. Long story short, he said he was only having 1 drink and 12 drinks later, he discovered he'd lost his car keys and was too drunk to stand up, we ended up having to call him 6 taxis because he kept insulting the drivers, and got him home for about 6.30 in the morning, I had a meeting with my publishers at 9 and was not best pleased to turn up with no sleep and smelling of booze and his sick." Hermione said, and the group laughed looking at Seamus. He in return looked sheepishly at them all. "The bar where we'd been drinking eventually found his car keys in the back of a mini fridge 4 months later, after he'd had to have the locks on his car changed!"
"It was a great night though" Seamus said, trying to recover his composure.
"You don't remember it, so how would you know?" Hermione bit back, smirking at him. Sitting in the small booth, Hermione found herself perched on the end of the bench. "Right, who wants a drink?"
After gathering the orders, she exited the book grabbing Angelina's hand to give her some help carrying the drinks back to their table.
Upon return from the bar, Hermione found herself pressed firmly against Draco's side, who in turn was squashed next to Lindsay. Across from her was Seamus, with Peter next to him and Angie opposite Hermione, the 6 of them decidedly too big of a group for the booth, but too lazy to move tables.
The group spent a few hours getting to know one another, before deciding to call it a night, with promo shoots the following day, none of them wanted to be under the studio lights with sore heads or falling asleep and looking shocking in their photographs.
"Anyone need a lift?" Hermione asked, as they entered the car park at the studio where she'd left her car earlier that day. Angelina shaking her head no in response.
"No, I'm good thanks 'Mione" Seamus said.
Peter and Lindsay both pulled out car keys, shaking their heads in unison.
"Draco?" Hermione asked, turning her head to look at her dance partner.
"I was just going to call a taxi, my mum dropped me off this morning, but Scorp will be in bed by now, so I can't bring her out" Draco said.
"No, don't do that, I'll drop you off" Hermione said, pulling her car keys out of her bag.
"Really, it's not an issue for me to get a taxi".
"Honestly, it's fine, besides, it will give us a chance to chat, just dance partner to dance partner" Hermione said, and he nodded. "Ok, so I guess this is goodnight".
Moving to Angelina, she wrapped her in a huge hug, following suit with Seamus, and waving animatedly to Peter and Lindsay.
"See you tomorrow guys" Draco said.
Together, they headed for Hermione's car. Hopping into the driver's seat, she dropped her back with her shoes and stuff in, on the back seat. Draco slotted himself into the passenger seat. Putting his address into her sat nav, he sat back, and Hermione pulled out of the car park and into the city streets.
"So, you said Scorp was with your mum?" Hermione said, eyes glancing to him briefly as she pulled out onto the main road as instructed by her cars sat nav."
"Yeah, he spends a lot of time with her during this time of year, since I'm always so busy, but he doesn't mind, he loves her, and she loves him" Draco said.
"Not with his mum?" Hermione asked, prying slightly, and cringing when she saw a look of pain flash across his face.
"His mum's not around, she left us when he was 3 months old, ran off with some man she'd met online" He answered, watching the passing cars as they drove along.
"Oh, I'm sorry" Hermione said, feeling slightly awkward.
"You weren't to know, but he loved spending time with his grandparents, my mum dotes on him, and my dad just likes having a child to spend time with again." Draco said. "We spent a lot of time moving around when I was a kid, from competition to competition, I think he likes doing the real kid stuff with Scorpius".
"I get that" Hermione said, flicking her indicator on.
"So, what about you, I've met your friends, well some of them, but what about your family?" Draco asked.
"Oh well, I'm an only child, and my parents live in Australia, have done for a few years now. After I left home, they decided to take the leap and it was something they'd always wanted to do" Hermione replied.
"That's so cool, I can't imagine I'd ever be brave enough to do something like that, my whole life is here".
"So is theirs but, well, they had the opportunity so they took it, I try to see them as much as I can, whenever I can, and now I'm doing this show, I'm sure they're going to try and get over to come to a live show" Hermione said.
"I'm sure they will" Draco said. "It's just here on the left".
Hermione nodded, pulling up to the curb, and coming to a stop in front of a large townhouse.
"Well, I'll see you tomorrow then partner, text me the address for our rehearsal space too" Hermione said, taking out her phone and handing it to him to put his number in.
"Thanks for the lift" He said, giving Hermione her phone back.
"No problem" She said, leaning over the centre console and putting an arm around him in a hug of goodbye.
"See you tomorrow" he said, getting out of the car, and moving to stand on the curb beside it. He waved to her as she pulled away.
So, this was it, Strictly life had begun.
The following day, Hermione found herself back in the studios, and back in her costume, her hair and make-up done, and standing before a green screen, goofing off with Draco as they took promotional photographs, and they filmed their intro and little behind the scenes clips.
The following Monday, Hermione found herself in front of a large building, and after heading inside, she found Draco stretching in front of a great floor to ceiling mirror in a large dance studio.
"Morning" She greeted him, stepping inside, dropping her bag with her belongings and dance stuff by a wall out of the way.
"Morning" He replied, looking up at her. "Come stretch"
Together they stretched and warmed up, slowly getting ready to begin dancing.
"Ok, so what's my first dance?" Hermione asked, as the two stood in front of the mirrors shaking out their limbs.
"You're dancing the Tango to 'Addicted to Love' by Robert Palmer" Draco said. "But this week, we're going to be working on getting the basic steps for every dance down, which should speed up the learning process in the coming weeks, as we gear into the normal swing of the competition. Next week, we'll start learning your routine".
"Ok" She nodded, and watched as Draco began to show her some basic ballroom steps.
The week of preparations passed quickly, and Hermione soon found herself back in the studio a week later, this time actually learning a dance, not just basics.
"Ok, so we really want to do some storytelling, with a dance as passionate as this, your foot work needs to be perfect, and we really have to show some emotions through movement, the connection between us needs to be so evident because we don't have words to do this, only actions" Draco said after they'd warmed up, Hermione nodding. "I want you to wear your ballroom shoes all week, or at least as much as possible so you can get used to dancing in them."
"Ok, no problem," She said, heading for her dance bag, grabbing her newly acquired ballroom shoes, sliding to the floor to slip off her trainers, and slip on her ballroom shoes. "So, what's our story with this dance?"
"Well, a couple who are in the midst of an argument, you're trying to leave me, I'm trying to convince you to stay, think of it as a kind of soap opera, you, maybe, caught me in a compromising position, I'm trying to convince you through the dance, it was nothing" He said simply, and Hermione nodded, buckling her shoes, before standing again. "Ok, so we're going to get into basic frame first".
Hermione realised that if all rehearsal weeks were going to pass this quickly, she had no idea how she was going to learn any routines at all. Friday camera blocking had gone well, and Hermione realised just how amazing this show could be, the thrill of competition, the anticipation of it all, in just 2 short week the crew had built multiple sets and the costume department had sewn 30 costumes, and she marvelled at the skill of the people around her, their dedication to their crafts.
Strolling into the studios on the Saturday of the show, Hermione greeted people in passing, camera men and producers alike, heading for the green room to drop off her bag.
Opening the door, she was greeted by Diana and Zachary, who were chatting in a corner, most likely about their own routines. Dropping her bag off, she grabbed her phone, before leaving the small room and heading for hair and make-up where she was sure she'd find Angelina and maybe Seamus.
"Hey partner," She heard from behind her. Turning, she found Draco looking barely awake, a dazed and half-asleep look in his eyes, despite it being the afternoon.
'How can someone looking so tired, be so attractive?' Hermione asked herself.
"Hey" She replied, waiting for him to catch up to her, a small smile on her lips. "Rough night?"
"Yes… Scorpius couldn't sleep, I blame my mother for hyping him up on sugar before I picked him up last night, so he kept me awake, I ended up letting him curl up with me, but he's a major wriggler, and once he did fall asleep, I lost three quarters of my bed to him." He replied, and Hermione nodded, a slight giggle bubbling at her lips. "Just point me in the direction of the coffee, and I'll be good to go".
"Well, I love a good coffee, come on" Hermione said, grabbing his hand, and leading him to craft services where they both grabbed the much-needed coffee and something to eat. Hermione only grabbing a small energy bar, her stomach already churning with nerves, and the thought of anything bigger causing the nausea to rise in her throat.
They chatted quietly, and laughed together, before deciding to finally head for hair and make-up, his hand loosely grasped in hers and they weaved through the busy corridors. The room was chaotic, with every chair occupied, and the air thick with hairspray. Hermione found herself hovering near Angelina and Lindsey as they had their hair set for their respective performances.
"Hey Hermione," They both greeted, and Francine smiled as she worked on Angelina's hair, concentration etched on her face.
"Hey guys"
"Where have you been? I thought we were meeting here?" Lindsey said, recalling their group chat which had been set up a few weeks prior.
"We were, but I ran into Draco, he's been up all night with Scorpius, so we went to get some coffee' She explained, "He seems more like his usual self now, well kind of" She glanced over at him, crowded near Seamus and some of the pro boys, still looking slightly delirious but less than he had before.
"Oh ok," Angelina said, smirking, and Hermione felt a blush creep onto her face. She knew her friend had clocked their linked hands as they entered the room.
Maybe it was stupid to blush, but she had felt some kind of connection to Draco. From first meeting him only a few weeks ago she could safely say he was shaping up to be one of her closest friends, and maybe it was the forced proximity or maybe it was a genuine connection, but being around him gave her butterflies, not that she would ever admit that out loud.
"I'll be with you in a second Hermione," Vikki said, looking at her from across the room, where she was currently pasting pastel tones onto Maria's face with a sense of urgency.
"No problem" She replied, smiling at the woman, the atmosphere was charged, and she could feel it building as the minutes ticked by. Glancing in the mirror in front of Angelina, she caught a pair of grey eyes. Smiling at Draco, she returned to speaking to the two girls.
Draco had had the night from hell, after he'd gotten home, and his mother had gone home, Draco and Scorpius had settled in for a movie night, during his busy schedule it was nights like these he cherished, spending time with his growing boy. Sticking Toy Story on the TV for the 30th time that week he enjoyed watching his son's reactions to the film whilst he texted Hermione discretely, trying to fill her with confidence for the next day.
He'd put his son to bed, and after a few hours on his own, messages bouncing backwards and forward between him and his dance partner, he decided to turn in himself, and that was as far as he'd gotten with sleep that night. Not 10 minutes after he'd climbed into his pyjamas and covered himself over with his duvet, did his bedroom door open, and in walked Scorpius, teddy bear clutched tightly under one arm.
"Daddy? I can't sleep" Scorpius said.
"What's wrong bud?" He asked.
"Scary monsters" He replied. Draco rolled his eyes; it was more likely that the sugar he knew his mother had been funnelling was more likely to blame for his son's inability to sleep.
Sitting up, Draco opened his arms and pulled his son onto his bed beside him. Sighing, he came up with the only solution he could think of, one that wouldn't lead to a grumpy 4-year-old in the morning.
"Do you want to stay here with Daddy? Just for tonight?" He asked his son. As much as he knew he'd regret this in the morning, he had to admit the idea of snuggling in for the night with his son was making his heart swell, he missed the days when his son would snooze in his arms, that baby smell comforting amid the chaos of his life at that time.
Scorpius nodded slowly, snugging into his father's embrace, and in about 10 minutes, the young child was sound asleep and wriggling around the bed in his sleep.
After 4 hours of trying and failing to capture sleep, he'd resigned himself to a sleepless night, and instead decided to stay on his phone, playing games he'd downloaded years ago but had not since played to keep him occupied.
Walking into the studio later the Saturday, Draco felt his eyes droop from exhaustion, and he sighed to himself.
'Just what I need on the day of the first live show' He thought.
He was delighted when he saw a familiar mop of bushy brown hair ahead of him in the corridor.
Calling out to her, she shared a sympathetic look with him, and they'd gone on the hunt for coffee. Draco found himself feeling surprised by how quickly he and Hermione had fallen into an easy friendship and felt a certain amount of uneasiness at how attracted to her he was becoming, he'd danced with many women in the past years and never had this strong of an immediate reaction to any of them.
He'd realised early on she was a very nervous person, and he'd found it endearing, and after spending 3 weeks grabbing her various body parts (He tried not to dwell on that part too much), he'd discovered she had a beautiful body. He realised how creepy he was but couldn't help but notice these things about her.
The more he had gotten to know her, the more king and perceptive he realised she was, which only did more to increase his attraction to her.
The two had strolled to hair and make-up together, his hand gripping hers loosely and he tried not to dwell on how it made his heart skip a beat. They'd separated there for the first time that day, him heading for a back corner where Seamus, Peter and Vincent were having their hair done, and her over to Angelina and Lindsey. Yet even on different sides of the room, he caught himself glancing at her in the mirror in front of Seamus, he studied her for a while, he watched as her body shook with nervous energy as she chatted with the girls, and watched as she tipped her head backwards in a laugh which cut through the loud chatter of the room.
Catching her eyes in the mirror, her caught the blush tinting her cheeks, she smiled gently at him and he smiled to himself, and watched as she turned back to the girls, tucking and errant curl behind her ear.
'Perhaps this isn't all one sided' Draco thought, watching the blush continue to stain her cheeks, she turned back to Angelina briefly before being called away to have her make-up done.
Hermione sat back in the chair, chatting quietly to Vikki, and was patient while the woman coated her face in various products, she'd been astounded the day before at seeing her complexion darker, after the fake tan which the show was famous for, had been done.
Half an hour later, she opened her eyes, thanking Vikki as she took in her appearance. Her face was matched perfectly to her new skin tone, and her brown eyes shone, as they were surrounded by smokey eyeshadow, her lashes dark and long, and her lips painted in a blood red, she found her appearance the ultimate example of seduction.
Francine called her over not long after, and she moved chairs, catching those grey eyes yet again as she moved, their owner giving her an appreciative smile, one which she quickly returned as she tried to ignore the blush rising quickly up her neck. She sat herself in the hair chair, and began chatting to Francine as she attempted to take her mind off the impending performance, the woman in question was straightening her hair, a pain staking task in itself.
"So, remind me what dance you're doing this week?" Francine asked her.
"The Tango" She replied, settling into the chair as the woman combed through her now pin straight hair.
"Oooh, and how are you feeling about it?"
"Nervous as hell, not going to lie" She chuckled lightly, and Francine joined her. Watching from the corner of her eye, she watched as the stylist pulled a set of large silver clips from her drawer, fixing Hermione's straight hair into a sleek pony tail before adding the clips to make a more dramatic style, the effect sharpening her features and making her look like a vixen, a true femme fatale.
Standing from the chair and leaving the room, she headed to the costume department, talking with people as she passed them.
Stepping into the bedazzled room, Hermione sat in a chair by the costume racks, chatting to Hannah as she was secured into her costume, slipping out of her various clothes, folding her leggings and t-shirt into a neat pile.
"Hermione" Georgina said, rounding the costume rack, and giving her an awkward hug, wary of disrupting any of the elements of her appearance. "Loving the hair"
Hermione laughed. "I know, I think it could be a huge hit" Hermione replied. Coming round the corner, Hermione spotted her partner, his grey eyes striking, his hair gelled within an inch of its life, giving off an old Hollywood vibe, perfect for his character in their performance.
Stepping into the room, he smiled at her.
"Nervous?"
"Yes, I feel like the closer we get to going live, the more I feel the butterflies dancing in my stomach, no pun intended," She said, as he took a seat beside her, as she fussed to the hem of her own leggings, untying her shoe laces to make slipping into her own dress easier, his arm draping over the back of her chair.
'God, why does he have to be so casual about being so close to me, I'm losing my shit here.' She thought.
"You're going to be fine, I'll be there the whole time, just keep your frame up and the rest will come naturally, you got this" He told her, sneaking his arm around her back, and she nodded, placing her hand on top of his other hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.
"Ah, Draco, Martin's got your costume ready in the back corner, Hermione I'm ready for you now." Georgina told them as she returned from having sewn a missing fringe onto Hannah's dress, a light sheen of sweat coating her forehead.
Standing together, the couple parted, Draco disappearing between many racks of costumes. Hermione followed Georgina to a booth at the back of the room. Stripping out of her own clothing, dropping the items carelessly into a pile, she slipped her untied trainers off her feet.
Georgina handed her a bright red dress, a sash going around her neck and flowing dramatically off at the back, she knew that would add to the drama of their performance. Smiling she turned to thank the woman. The V was deep in the back and front, and was secured to her body using lots of body tape, its sharp point ending just above her navel on her front, and in her lower back on the reverse. There were sparkles adorning either side of the V and the thin straps of material they'd added yesterday during her fitting cinched tightly across her had a sparkle to them too. The dress was light perfect for some of the more dramatic moments of their dance. Hermione found that despite most of her chest and back being on display she felt secure in the costume, she was no risk of 'spillage' as Draco had phrased it the day before, when he made a joke about how many dancers had fallen victim to 'spillage' wearing a garment similar to hers. Leaving the booth, she allowed Georgina to begin to sew up the seam, which pulled the dress tight to her body.
Hermione stood patiently whilst Georgina worked to secure all the fixing in their correct places, and afterwards, she allowed her to guide her to a full-length mirror. Ignoring her sports socks which still donned her feet, she smiled at her reflection. The dress was sexy and floated as she moved, the beading on the bodice glittering dangerously in the light.
Across the room, Draco was simply staring at her. 'Fucking hell, how am I supposed to think straight?' Draco thought, taking in his partner's appearance before shaking himself out of his trance. 'Jesus, get a grip.'
"You look amazing Hermione" He said, approaching her, "Red really suits you" He said, smiling, a quick wink being shot in her direction as he moved back towards Martin to grab the clothes he had been in before.
Georgina grabbed her a dressing gown, and helped her slip it on over her dress, before moving onto the next people that stumbled through the door.
Hermione watched as Draco sat in a chair, pulling his dance shoes on his feet. He caught her looking, and smiled quickly at her, and she smiled in return.
With 10 minutes until show time, she grabbed her clothes and headed for the green room once again to grab her own dance shoes.
Entering the room, she smiled at Angelina and Peter who were going over last minute adjustments to their Cha-Cha routine.
Heading for her belongings, she dropped her phone back in her bag, and grabbed her ballroom shoes, sitting in a chair and slipping off her socks, before putting the shoes she'd been breaking in all week and buckling them.
"There you are" Draco said, his blonde head popping into the room, "Come on, we have a couple of pre-show rituals to complete, you two too" Draco said, addressing the other couple in the room.
Nodding her head, she put her socks in her bag, standing, she slid the dressing gown off her shoulders, revealing the red gown beneath, and heading for the door, she grabbed his hand, and the two held the door open as they waited for Angie and Peter to make a move.
Heading to the stairs, she could hear the audience milling about in the studio. Draco pulled her into a large circle, all the couples huddling close together.
"Ok guys, let's go out there and kick some arse! You're all going to be fantastic" Anthony said, putting his hand into the centre of the circle, everyone following suit one by one, before they all released from the group circle.
They listened intently as the intro music blared, the couples organising themselves into two lines up the stairs.
"Live from the Strictly Dancing Stars Studio, in London, it's time to welcome your hosts, Tina Mahone and Olivia Harrison" The voice over man announced.
The music swelled again, and she heard the two hosts begin their spiel.
"Now backstage we have 15 nervous celebrities ready to begin dancing" Tina said.
"Yes, but before we meet them, let's meet the four people who will be analysing their every move" Olivia continued.
"Please welcome…" Tina said.
"Our judges" The said together.
"Martin Thomas" Olivia said.
"Selina Valentine" Tina followed.
"Zoe Chalmers" Olivia continued.
"And Tim Lisetsky" Tina concluded.
"Our judges everybody!" Olivia said.
"Now shall we meet the people who will be dancing tonight?" Tina asked, and the crowd cheered.
"Well then, it's time to meet…" Olivia said.
"Our Strictly Stars" The said together, moving off the main platform, as the stars began making their way into the studio, descending the stairs on the other side of where Draco and Hermione currently stood, the last people in their queue.
"TV News Anchor, Anna Cole and her partner, Anthony Baker"
She felt Draco squeeze her hand, and she looked up at him, him flashing a reassuring smile at her, as they began to move up the stairs.
"Singer, Phoebe Stevens and her partner, Michael Peace"
"TV Presenter, Simon Lake and his partner, Michelle Norris"
"Actor and Singer, Charlie Walsh and his partner, Witney Larson"
"Gymnast, Maria Adamson and her partner, Tom Malloy"
"Boyband Star, Nicholas Marshall and his partner, Karen Lewis"
"Ex-Cricketer, Jason Whitman and his partner, Aliona Kopilova"
"Olympic Gold Medalist, Daniel Hulmes and his partner, Rachel Evans"
"Soap Opera Star, Tanya Gutierrez and her partner, Matthew Parkinson"
"TV Doctor, Diana McCall and her partner, Liam McKay"
"Tennis Star and Wimbledon Champion, Angelina Johnson and her partner, Peter Fletcher"
"Children's TV Personality, Hannah Reid and her partner, Vincent Alamore"
"Ireland Rugby Captain, Seamus Finnegan and his partner, Lindsey Thompson"
"Footballer, Zachary Bell and his partner, Ola Aguillera"
Hermione took a deep breath as they reached the top of the stairs, Draco squeezing her hand, and pulling her out into the view of the audience and cameras.
"And finally, Author and Stage Actress, Hermione Granger and her partner, Draco Malfoy"
The two waved and smiled, descending the stairs, and bopping to the music once they reached their mark smiling and having 'fun' like all the other couples gathered around them.
"There they all are, our 15, now there is no vote tonight, but the judges scores from this week will be rolled over to next Saturday when one of our couples will sadly be leaving the competition" Tina said.
"But before that, we have an action-packed night of dance coming your way" Olivia said.
"Yes, and without further ado, our first couple of the night is Tanya Gutierrez and her partner Matthew, now, Tanya's used to some drama in her role in 'Waterside', lets see if she can bring some of that to her Tango" Tina said, the show going to a VT, and the couple clearing the floor.
Hermione allowed Draco to lead her up to the sky box, his hand never leaving her, and as they stood around whilst Tanya danced, he changed his stance, standing behind her and holding her tightly against him, his arms wrapped around her waist, her hands over his.
The night dragged on, and Hermione felt her nerves build as they waited for their turn to dance, but trying to not let it show on her face.
"We're up" Draco said, leaning her head down to her ear and letting his breath caress the side of her face. It was 2 dances before theirs, and led her backstage, the make-up and hair team touched her up, and she allowed Draco to lead her to the stairs where they posed.
"Now next up tonight is Hermione Granger and her partner, Draco Malfoy" Tina announced, and she and Draco smiled at the camera that was pointing at them "Now this week Hermione's been feeling a little angsty as she's been preparing for her Tango to 'Addicted to Love'".
They went to VT, and Draco led her out onto the ballroom floor, getting into their opening positions, her arm held in his, smiling as the lights came up before switching into a more sultry, angsty expression.
"Dancing the Tango to 'Addicted to Love' by Robert Palmer, please welcome Hermione Granger, and Draco Malfoy" The voice over man announced, and then the music began.
They began their choreography, her snatching her arm from his hand and beginning their routine.
It was surreal Hermione thought after their dance had ended, her and Draco cradling one another's faces, eyes connected in fiery passion.
"YES!" Draco shouted after a beat, hugging her close, picking her up and spinning her on the spot.
"Hermione and Draco everybody!" Tina said. "Come here my lovelies".
Draco grasped her waist, his thumb caressing it, and they made their way to Tina.
"That was just sexy, shall we see what our judges thought?" Tina asked. "Zoe?"
"Well, aren't you a dark horse! Has anyone told you its only week one?" Zoe asked. "That was one of the best week one performances I've ever seen! I would advise you watch your shoulder when in hold, it had a tendency to wander up towards your ears in places, but besides that, for a first attempt as a non-dancer, fantastic!"
"High praise indeed, Tim?"
"Oh, my darling" The flamboyant judge began "You're simply beautiful aren't you, you glowed during that routine, so sexy and passionate, and I'm very impressed with the neatness of your foot work, keep up the good work".
Draco lowered his head to her ear quickly. "You really are beautiful".
Hermione blushed, a small smile appearing on her features, turning her attention back to Tina. "Martin?" Tina asked.
"Your technique was good, and you were emoting beautifully, I felt the sexy passion between the two of you, however I did see a few stumbles, just something to work on, but like Zoe said, its week one and that was a great performance"
"You impressed misery guts! Selina?"
"Well, you're just a box of surprises, I agree with Martin, if you hone your skills in spins too you should find you won't stumble as much, you're hold could use some work, but I was entranced by the two of you the whole way through, you had a real presence, you should be proud, well done!" Selina agreed.
"High praise from all of our judges. Head on up to Olivia and we'll get your scores!" Tina said, Draco grabbing her hand, and moving off. "Let's hear it one more time for Hermione and Draco".
The ran up the stairs, the group at the top cheering as they emerged at the top, matching smiles on their faces.
"Amazing routine you two!" Olivia said, as they reached her. Draco wrapping his arm around her once more, and Hermione mirroring him, her own arm hooking low around his hips. "Zoe called you a dark horse, how are you feeling Hermione?"
"I'm so glad it's over!" Hermione laughed, "In all seriousness I loved it, and I can't wait to come back and do it all over again next week".
"Draco you seemed particularly pleased with Hermione?"
"How can I not be she nailed it! I couldn't ask for anything more than what she just did out there" He said smiling, his hand squeezing her waist briefly.
"What an angelic couple, you two are making me blush, your scores are in" Olivia said.
"Martin Thomas" The voice over man said.
"8"
"Selina Valentine"
"8"
"Zoe Chalmers"
"8"
"Tim Lisetsky"
"8"
"That give you a total of 32, a fantastic score for week one and puts you at the top of our leader board, congratulations" Olivia said, as Hermione and Draco hugged in glee, him pressing a quick kiss to her cheek. "Remember there's no public vote tonight, but if you were impressed by Hermione and Draco, remember to vote for them when lines open next week, Tina".
"Well Done!" Draco said to her, as they moved away from Olivia. "You are incredible".
She blushed under his high praise, and once on their new mark in the sky box, she settled back into his embrace, his arms wrapped round her again.
'This shouldn't be this comfortable, but I can't imagine being anywhere else' She thought.
The end of the show rolled around quickly after that, and once the final couple had danced, they made their way out onto the dance floor, standing on their mark, once again with his arms wrapped around her.
"What an incredible night of competition ladies and gentlemen" Tina said.
"All our celebrities will be back next week, when one couple will sadly leave the competition" Olivia continued.
"Join us at 7.25, next Saturday night for another round of fantastic dancing." Tina said. "Until then…"
She paused, and Draco grabbed Hermione's right hand, bracing them.
"Keeeep Dancing!" They said together, rocking, and Draco rocked her back and forth.
One dance down, hopefully a few more to go.
So there you have it!
Hope you enjoyed it!
