The past few days were strange, at least to Danny. Bowsette started to act much nicer around him but was still feared by everyone else. Dash still tried to pick him, only for Bowsette to stop him. He went to her mansion each day to work on their project and soon Bowsette started to invite him into other things, like games and some shows they both liked.
Now he was sitting next to Boswette, playing a game with her. They both did a huge amount of their project and wanted a break. Strange as it seems, Danny couldn't lie in saying that he was wrong about Bowsette. Speaking of the girl, Bowsette did notice the change around her. Since her heartbreak, Bowsette promises not to let her emotions get the better of her again. So she tried to bury them, coming off as a mean and cold girl. But she was also very careful of how much a mean and cold girl she'll be. Her father was pretty tough in his own right, but he learned his lesson after an event he refuse to tell her about.
But those emotions showed themselves when she first meet Danny. At first, she ignored them. Treating Danny like a kid that won't stand up for themselves. But as she saw him and learned more, she started having a hard time keeping them away. And during the sturdy days, she learn more about him than she thought. It turns out her father was right, Danny didn't have any girlfriends and the girl he did have a crush on was no longer his crush. If anything, Danny doesn't even know that another girl liked him.
She recalls hearing about his two best friends, Tucker Foley and Sam Mansion. Tucker was the smart one and always carried a PDA. He was known to try and hit on girls, mostly getting slapped for his troubles. She has yet to meet him since he was out of town for the week when she came to Amity Park. Sam Mansion is the same as her. Rich family and rebellious. However, from what she heard, her parents were nothing like her father. Sam's parents only care about turning their daughter into another person and she wanted nothing to do with it. She did not doubt that they will try and get on her father's good side to give Sam better friends.
Too bad for them her father hates those kind of people. Being rich means nothing without caring. A lesson he claim to learn when he was a kid himself. The same lesson he passed on to her. Bowsette promise to teach that lesson to her kids one day.
"Eyes on the prize, Bowsette." Danny reminds her.
"HA! Like I'm going to let you beat me!" She said, smirking.
Bowser stood by the door, smiling. He was right about the boy. Things were awkward for a while, but they started to get used to each other. Danny once about his wife once but told her, and him, that they can tell him on their own time if was too much.
'He's perfect for my little girl. I just hope he doesn't break her heart like that last one. I so want to give that stupid plumber a call for what he did to her.' He thought before sighing.
Bowser left the room, heading for his office. He sat down and looks at the picture of himself and Bowsette when she was 10. She was wild and angry all the time, much like himself. He was able to set her straight after a year. However, his mind jumped back to the boy that his daughter had a crush on. For a while, everything went fine. He actually liked the boy. Kind and understanding, just like Danny. Bowsette decides one day to tell him about her feelings and he was willy to support her.
However, five minutes later, Bowsette come home crying. When asked what was wrong, she explained that her crush asked out another girl! When the asked about Bowsette, he said that he only saw her as a friend. There was no love between them. Bowsette was heartbroken and ran away. Bowser has never been so pissed in his life. When that boy came over again, Bowser let him have it. He yelled at the boy for not thinking about his daughter's feelings or even asking her how she feels about it. The boy was shocked and tried to explain that he had no idea, but Bowser forbid him from entering his home again. But not before letting him apologize to his daughter first.
Bowser sighs, trying not to let the past get to him. When the boy's parents asked what happen when they learn they weren't allowed to visit, Bowser told them about Bowsette's crush on their son. He was even more pissed when they stated that they didn't think she was the one for their son. They didn't hate Bowsette but thought she was a bit too much like a spoiled rich girl. Bowser corrected them on that and agreed to move out of the city. Luckily, one of his business companies was near Amity Park, and thought it would be the best place for his daughter to recover. So far, it's been a success.
'Not good enough because they reminded of a spoiled rich girl?! Bowsette outgrew that years ago! I made sure of it. At least, Daniel's parents aren't bothered by it." He thought.
Bowser sighs before recalling a party he was throwing together. Lots of his workers work hard. So, Bowser decides to start rewarding them at the end of each month to show how much thanks he has for them. He even lets them invite their families to company, as long as they behave. Since his daughter was growing closer to Danny, he want to invite him and his family too. However, that was still a few more weeks away. He needs to give them more time.
Later,
Danny and Bowsette were acting out one of the scenes from one of the plays they read, trying to get a better idea of how to write their characters.
"Okay, is it safe to say I barely understand a word in this?" Danny asked.
"Yes. Because I'm in the same boat." Bowsette said.
Danny sighs, putting down the book.
"Let's call it a day." He said, sighing.
"Agreed," Bowsette said, nodding.
Reading about these plays and other books were starting to hurt her brain. Danny had the right idea, but this was starting to become too much.
"I hate to say it, but we need a different project." She said, making Danny sigh.
"Yeah. I thought the same a few days ago. I just didn't know how to bring it up." He said.
Bowsette sighs. She wasn't upset by that. Danny has proven to be much more than she thought. She felt she could let her emotions out again. But she wanted to be careful on how much she showed. Still, she was having a great time with Danny.
"Well, want anything before you head home?" She asked, surprising him.
"Sure," Danny said.
Bowsette leads Danny to her dining room, sighing. This was the first time she ever offers Danny something to eat since he came over. She wonder if this was met to be something more.
I'm sorry everyone. I didn't want to stop here. I'm not worn out, I'm not overworking myself, I just run dry all of a sudden. I know I could put a lot more, but it seems that any ideas that I had vanished and I couldn't get them back.
Maybe it's due to my new Non-Danny Phantom story not getting enough reviews, or it's because it's the weekend and I feel like being lazy today. Hopefully, things will be better next chapter. Again, I'm sorry about ending it so soon. I'm glad that reach over 1000 words though.
