Having arrived in Striaton City, the group stopped at the Pokemon Center for various reasons. For the five trainers, it was to heal their Pokemon, and for the two younger ones to go their seperate ways, back to training their weaker Pokemon. For Professor Juniper, it was for a more business-related reason. She was told about new anthrophomorphic Pokemon that had appeared in the next town over, having came over here to meet her there. They had been told that she was more able to introduce them to the world and how it worked.

"You think thing's will be okay about whatever the Professor is up to?" Bianca asked Kieran.

"I'm sure it'll be fine, where's Cheren?" Kieran replied.

"Oh he'll be right back, he wanted to check out the Trainer's School, I mean he loves to learn you know."

"Fair enough." Kieran said. "You two were waiting for us to challenge the gym or?"

"It's not open yet, the leaders were off doing some meeting or something." Bianca replied.

"Should we head there once we're all healed?" Lori asked.

"Sure!" Bianca said.

"Don't see why not." Kieran replied.

The group got up and headed off, leaving Professor Juniper to examine the individuals reported to her.

Meanwhile...

"What's taking them so long?" Susie asked, rather bored. Ralsei was playing with her new Pokemon, a Pidove and a Purrloin, while Kris had a Blitzle, who they used to carry most of their things, keeping their sword and crutches on their person.

"No idea." The nurse, Nurse Hepi, said. "They could've been stopped by trainers or something, who also seek the knowledge you do, albeit on a less basal level.

"Ah, well I mean fair I guess." Susie shrugged. "Just kinda bored."

"I see you haven't caught a Pokemon yourself." Nurse Hepi commented. "Don't want to?"

"I don't know, just always seem to kick their ass too much, something about you've gotta weaken them but not knock them out." Susie replied.

"Fair enough." Nurse Hepi said. "You are a late stage evolution yourself, probably quite a powerful Pokemon." Nurse Hepi repllied. "I'm sure you won't need the help for a long time."

"Thanks?" Susie replied, unsure if that was a compliment at her fighting skills or not.

"You're welcome." Nurse Hepi said back. "How'd that Kris person catch one if they didn't have any Pokemon?"

"Probably just her bare fists, maybe the sword." Susie replied. "Avid fighter and all."

"Fair enough I guess." Nurse Hepi replied. "Never seen that be done before, but I mean I haven't seen extraterrestial or extradimensional travellers before."

"Yeah." Susie replied. "Have a feeling we're pretty far from home."

Just then, the Pokemon Professor walked in, noticing the two humanoids and the fairly beat up Kris.

"They okay?" Professor Juniper asked, fairly concerned.

"They're fine, I mean they got here by themselves." Nurse Hepi replied. "Hepi Titanae, nice to meet you."

Professor Juniper accepted the nurse's offered handshake. "Nice to meet you too. So. What might you want to know?"

"So like what do we do?" Susie asked. "I mean like we're just kids, I'm sure there's not too much we could actually do."

"Relative to young trainers, you're actually quite old-seeming, how old are you exactly?" Professor Juniper asked.

"I'm 16, Kris is 15, and Ralsei is 14." Susie replied. "Kris is mute, before you go asking them anything."

"Noted." Professor Juniper replied. "Interesting, that's even older than the kids in my town."

"What?" Susie asked. "You go all fighting and all that shit earlier?"

"Why yes." Professor Juniper replied. "I mean that's about ten for when most kids do it, most don't really get too far with it until 12-14 though."

"Damn." Susie replied. "Well, anyways, what do we do with our lives for the time being?"

"Well you're in the city of the first gym, you could put yourself in the running for the Pokemon League." Professor Juniper asked.

"The Pokemon League eh?" Susie replied. "What's that?"

"Well, it's what it says pretty much, it's a league for trainers, and if you beat the Champion, you get yourself into the trainer database." Professor Juniper answered.

"Is that like super prestigous or something?" Susie replied.

"You could say that." Professor Juniper replied. "You'd be immortalized in the database, sure, but you wouldn't be an instant celebrity unless you became the person for people to fight to become Champion."

"Fair enough." Susie replied. "So we should try and do that?"

"Don't see why not." Professor Juniper said. "Plus, it would help you see more of the world and what makes it tick."

"Say, I mean we already have some, but weren't you talking about those starter Pokemon things?" Susie asked.

"I mean you're new trainers I guess." Professor Juniper said, digging out a Pokeball, well three, containing each of the starters. "I could pass them out if you wanted to, or you could pick them for yourselves."

"Okay, we can take a look, yeah." Susie replied. The group looked at the three starters. Ralsei decided to take the Oshawott, and Susie decided to take the Tepig, leaving Kris with a Snivy.

"Well there you go." Professor Juniper replied. "Anything else you want to ask?"

"Say..." Ralsei replied. "What am I going to do about that whole 'supposed to be nocturnal' thing? I mean like sleep-wise I'm an up at night creature but they're not."

"I mean you might be a bit more tired..." Professor Juniper replied. "But I'm sure if you get a good amount of sleep, it'll work. I'd reccomend a sleep mask, I'm sure some shop might have one."

"Thank you." Ralsei replied.

"You're welcome." Professor Juniper replied. Kris gave a thumbs up.

"How long is she going to need those too, just to ask." Susie asked.

"It should be a few more days yet." Nurse Hepi replied. "I'm sure it'll be fine but just in case."

"That's going to be annoying." Susie replied. "I mean it too so long to get here."

"Just take it easy on them." Nurse Hepi replied. "It'll get better faster that way."

Susie sighed. "Fine..."

"Actually..." Professor Juniper thought for a moment. "Why don't you meet the other trainers that I was helping out? They're about your age."

"Don't see why not." Ralsei said. "Especially if those Team Plasma guys are around."

Susie shrugged, and Kris nodded, so Susie decided to go along with it with their companions.

"Well that settles it then." Professor Juniper replied. "I'll head out with you to acquaint you."

"Thanks!" Ralsei replied, the group having healed their Pokemon upon arrival.

"Well I'll take you there, I heard they were heading out to the Trainer School, so..." Professor Juniper replied.

"We'll head right there then!" Susie yelled, carrying her Tepig out the door held highly, excited to have a Pokemon like her friends. The trio exited the building, off towards the Trainer School, with Professor Juniper keeping Kris company, and Ralsei chasing after Susie.
