The five trainers had ran off, and Susie, Kieran, and Cheren had decided to go into the cave in which the Team Plasma members had ran into. Kris and Bianca stayed behind to comfort the child. They didn't see them at first.

"We should probably keep going." Susie said. "They can't have gone far."

"They could've swam, couldn't they have?" Kieran asked. Susie went over and touched the water, finding it quite cold.

"Not at those temperatures, they'd freeze." Susie said. "Jesus that's cold."

"Okay... So they can't have gone far..." Cheren replied, as the trio continued along the path the water allowed them to go to. They soon found the Team Plasma members on top of the hill, seemingly cornered, as the decline to go down to the lower level of the entrance was quite large.

"Shh..." Susie whispered. "We can get the jump on them."

Kieran nodded, as did Cheren.

"What's the plan." The latter of the two replied.

"I think we just sneak up honestly, try and surprise them with an attack." Susie elected to toss one of the local Roggenrola at the line of sight of the two agent, who came down, just as two more agents appeared behind them.

"Hey!" the first of the agents, a male, yelled. "What are you doing?"

"Shit." Susie said. "Uh... There goes that plan..."

"You numbskulls thought you could just take out two of our members with no consequences?!" The second, a female, asked.

"Hey, maybe if you didn't have such sucky Pokemon, you'd stand a chance." Susie replied.

"We'll show you..." The first said, as all four sent out Pokemon to try and get the trio."

"What do we do exactly..." Kieran asked, rather scared.

"I'll handle these two, you go get the two Pokemon back." Susie replied, as Cheren and Kieran went up to the two members at the top of the small hill inside, both male.

"What do you think you can do against us?" The third Team Plasma member asked. "You're just some kids!"

"Yeah, and what are you going to do about it?" Kieran asked, trying not to be utterly terrified. "You're up here too. We're blocking the way down."

A battle then ensued, two Patrats vs Rainshaft and Cheren's Purrloin. This went rather poorly, and the Patrat had managed to nearly knock Cheren down the ledge, which while not likely fatal would prove injurious if it had occurred. However, the next battle set seemed to go a lot better, at least for Kieran. For Cheren, it did not, the Tepig losing, a blast knocking him off. Luckily for the party involved, Audrey had taken care of the two Patrats, so the agents of Team Plasma were at least defeated. Luckily for Cheren, however, he managed to land on Bianca, who had ran in after hearing a scream from one of the Team Plasma members Susie was dealing with, thinking it was one of the three inside.

"Bianca!" Cheren yelled.

"Ow... You okay?" Bianca said. Neither one was actually injured, thankfully, but both seemed a bit hurt at the moment.

"Are you okay?" Cheren replied. "I'm so sorry..."

"I heard screaming, is everyone okay?" Bianca asked. Just then, one of the Team Plasma grunts, the male from earlier, had ran past. While not wounded, his outfit was scratched up, presumably by Susie's claws.

"What happened in there..." Cheren asked, getting up to try and run to assist Kieran, now alone against two Team Plasma members.

Meanwhile at the top of the hill...

Kieran seemed to press his advantage, with Audrey's personal vendetta against the group being quite useful.

"I lost everything because of you..." Audrey said, Kieran understanding the rage in her voice, though not exactly what she was saying.

"Are we really gonna go out like this?" The one Team Plasma member asked the other.

"What choice do we have?" The other said, both of them digging at their pockets. Susie sighed, noticing up there.

"Go." Susie said, offering the female Team Plasma member mercy. "Tell your friends not to mess with us."

"Thank Arceus..." The woman replied, running off similar to their compatriot.

Susie attempted to fly up, having wings now and all, and had success with it, instincts taking over to a degree, as she was trying to save Kieran from what she thought would be firearms. The one member, seeing this, grabbed the object faster, a syringe, taking the small child's loaned Muuna, and injecting himself, intentionally falling off. The other used their own, and then dived at Audrey with the same intent, Audrey ready to intercept at least the combat, not know what exactly that was. Susie had managed to impact the agent, knocking him off course, and sending him and the Patrat tumbling down. Susie had a rough landing, nearly falling off the edge herself.

"Susie!" Kieran yelled, stunned. "You can fly?"

"Apparently." Susie replied, heart racing. "Holy shit that was a rush."

"I can't imagine." Kieran replied.

The duo heard cries of shock from below, Susie and Kieran running back around to see what in the world was going on, Kieran unable to fly and Susie not trusting the heat of the moment new found ability. They arrived to find the two remaining agents in a state of transformation, seemingly fusing with the Pokemon they had captured.

"What in the..." Kieran replied, noticing that Bianca had fainted on the sight of the not painful, but weird and grotesque for the inexperienced with bodies changing as such.

"Okay." Susie replied. "I'm putting my foot down. This shit's personal now."

"Oh Arceus..." Audrey replied. "That was supposed to be me."

"I uh..." Kieran replied. "We should uh..."

"Nobody touch them, I'll send for help, you all stay here." Susie said.

"What about if they send more?" Kieran asked.

"You're right." Susie said, then sighing. "Dammit. What do I do."

Meanwhile, Outside...

Lori and Ralsei had just arrived back from their visit to the Daycare, encountering Kris on the way to the turning point of the route. Wellspring Cave, where the events were transpiring, was straight ahead, and the next town over was to the left.

"Hey Kris." Ralsei replied, noticing the worry on Kris's face. "Something wrong?"

Kris pointed into the cave, seemingly trying to signal them to go in, waving their arm in a pattern towards the cave.

"I think something bad is happening in there.." The small child who owned the Muuna said. "I heard some yelling and some other things and saw this guy with his clothes broke run by..."

"That doesn't sound good." Lori said. "We should probably check it out."

Kris nodded aggressively.

"Let's go then." Ralsei said, following Lori inside.

Inside the Cave...

"Wait, I hear something." Susie replied. "Battle stance Audrey."

"I'm ready." Audrey replied.

With Susie and Audrey ready for battle, they seemed surprised to see that it was Ralsei and Lori.

"What's wrong?" Ralsei said. "Was told it was bad."

"It was." Susie said. "Thank God we're so powerful."

"Oh dear Arceus what's happening to them!" Lori yelled upon noticing the transformations occurring.

"Yeah, no idea." Susie said. "Don't touch them. Go get help."

"Can do!" Lori said, running off.

The group decided to wait, and once the transformations were complete, they were in for a surprise.

"Huh?" The Patrat hybrid said. "What in the world?"

"Now that you're up..." Susie said, showing her claws to the fellow anthropomorphic Pokemon. "Tell us what that was, or you've got a world of hurt in store."

"Oh Arceus..." Patrat said. "They really did it..."

"Did what?" Susie said.

"I didn't even think it was real..." The Patrat replied.

"He's clearly just as in shock as we are Susie..." Kieran replied.

Susie sighed. "He's useless."

"Just don't hurt me..." The Patrat said, whimpering.

"Just stay here." Susie replied. "We're gonna have someone who knows what the hell they're doing come over."

"Okay..." The Patrat said, teary. "I just can't believe it came to this..."

"Great." Susie replied. "I sure hope Lori gets back soon."
