Morning came fairly quickly, and the first to be up of our heroes was Ralsei, who was now on his way to the Pokemon Center, since the folks he stayed with were the shopkeepers, who brought him along as to give him something to do while he waited for his companions. Ralsei noticed the new stock, and asked to help with it, the two shopkeepers obliging. Inside the boxes were various Pokeballs, potions, and healing items of other sorts, along with escape ropes and repels. He was fairly quick at putting each one in its own category, the two shopkeepers being fairly impressed for someone of his inexperience to be so good at it, not that they weren't quicker at it. The group of 3 was done earlier than the group of two shopkeepers normally would've been, which gave the group some time to relax.
"You think I could check on them by now?" Ralsei asked.
"Probably not." The first shopkeeper said. "They'd probably still be asleep in all honesty."
"Fair enough." Ralsei replied, sitting on one of the Pokemon Center couches, messing around with the C-Gear he was given in the town prior. Time seemed to pass fairly slowly, but there wasn't any real activity yet, though the shopkeepers would probably open in about an hour.
An hour or so had passed, and at the very least, there was light foot traffic of the now open Pokemon Center. Ralsei made small-talk with the various passerby, who seemed fairly awestruck at his appearance. Most that didn't find him some disgusting freak found him quite cute, which was most folks really. He received several pats and pets while waiting on the other to arrive.
Eventually, a younger gal sat next to the Umbreon. She was probably the proper young trainer age, and seemed very excited to get on her journey. She had blonde hair, at neck-length in a bob hairstyle. She was wearing a fairly fancy blue dress, with some jeans underneath, and some running shoes similar to Kieran's. She seemed fairly tanned, so Ralsei was unsure of the little girl's ethnicity, not that he'd want to ask anyways.
"Hi." The girl said. "What brings you here this early?" She seemed curious, as she was always an early bird, but none of her friends ever seemed to be.
"Waiting on a friend." Ralsei replied. "You?"
"Same. Ginny and the other gals always like to stay up too late, they wont be up for a bit anyways..." The girl replied.
"Well what's your name?" Ralsei asked. "And yeah, I got up earlier than normal myself though."
"Abby." The girl replied. "And you?"
"Ralsei." The Umbreon offered a paw, which Abby accepted. The two shook appendages, sitting together to pass the time.
"Say, what Pokemon do you have?" Abby asked Ralsei.
"Well, I have an Oshawott, a Pansear, a Pidove, and a Purrloin." Ralsei replied.
"Oh hey!" Abby said. "I picked Oshawott too!"
"Really?" Ralsei replied. "Cool."
"Also, mind if you show me the Pansear? I don't have that in my Pokedex yet so I thought i'd get a picture." Abby asked.
Ralsei obliged, letting the Pokemon out, allowing it to be scanned.
"Thanks!" Abby replied.
"You're welcome." Ralsei said in response. "Say, you here to challenge the gym too?"
Abby nodded excitedly. "Oshy's gotten real strong, and the Blitzle and Lillipup I caught too!"
"I mean if they haven't gotten back, wanna go challenge the gym together?" Ralsei asked. "If we've both trained enough and we think we can both win, why not?"
"Sure!" Abby said. "What about your friends though?"
"I mean I'm gonna have to stick around a bit longer anyways, one of my friends got hurt and they need to catch up now." Ralsei replied.
"Oh no..." Abby replied, seemingly saddened. "Are they okay?"
"Yeah." Ralsei replied. "Just needed a bit of rest is all."
"That's good." Abby said, spirits seemingly lifted a bit by the news that they were okay. "You planning to stay then?"
Ralsei nodded. "Don't wanna leave them behind, right?"
"Fair enough." Abby replied.
"You just waiting here too, or did you have any plans to use the services here?" Ralsei asked.
"I mean I may as well heal my Pokemon when they get here, but no, just kinda was waiting..." Abby replied.
"Yeah." Ralsei said. By this point, Ralsei was allowed to go back and see how Cheren and Bianca were doing. The Umbreon got up, going off to check on his relatively older friends.
"Well nice meeting you!" Ralsei said.
"Say, you have one of those C-Gears too." Abby replied. "Want to trade numbers?"
"I mean I guess so." Ralsei replied. "Never hurts to have a friend for when you need it, right?"
The duo traded contact information, and Ralsei went off to see how his travelling companions were doing. Bianca had awoken, but Cheren was presently still asleep, so Ralsei went to see Bianca first.
"Oh hey Ralsei." Bianca said, lacking some of her energy.
"You feeling better?" Ralsei asked.
"Yeah, just a bit tired still." Bianca said. "Doc said we'll be cleared soon, so I'm excited to get training."
"You'll have to catch up, yeah." Ralsei replied.
"So how's Kieran and Lori?" Bianca asked.
"They're fine enough. They booked a hotel, I stayed with the clerks." Ralsei replied.
"Well that's nice of them." Bianca replied.
"Yeah." Ralsei replied sitting down on one of the chairs in the room. "What are ya watching?"
"Just the weather really." Bianca said. "Nothing really on at seven in the morning, it's not the weekend so."
"I guess." Ralsei said. "Any storms or anything heading our way?"
"Might be one this weekend, it's Wednesday now so." Bianca said.
"I'll keep that in mind. Maybe we take that day off." Ralsei said.
"You never know." Ralsei replied
"This won't affect you too much, will it?" Bianca asked.
"I'm sure it won't be too bad." Ralsei said. "It's not like it's your fault it happened anyways."
"Thanks." Bianca said.
"No problem." Ralsei replied. "Anyways, how was the rest?"
"I mean relaxing was nice and all, I'm itching to get back out there though!" Bianca said with a grin.
"That's the spirit." Ralsei replied, tail waving slightly.
Not knowing how long Susie, Lori, and Kieran would be, Ralsei and Bianca decided to just watch the weather while they waited. The two seemed to be well acquainted at the very least, and the company would be nice to have when there wasn't much to do.
