Lucy was soon taken to the hospital as Lincoln paced around the waiting room.
All he could think of at this point was whether Lucy would be okay.
Luna felt bad. "I know we've only known each other for like a month, but Lucy will live. She's a strong girl." Luna says.
"We know she'll pull through." Lori says.
"I feel bad. I should have looked out for her." Luan says.
Some time later, Lucy started to stir. Lincoln looked at her.
"Groan." Lucy groaned.
"Lucy! You're alive…" Lincoln says as he hugs her.
Lucy looked down; she still didn't feel like she belonged in the family. But everyone else was glad she was okay. She was surprised to see how much they cared about her.
Lucy wanted to speak, but her jaw hurt.
"Oh, Lucy, we're so sorry." Lynn Sr. says.
Lucy forgave the family in her own way.
"My birthday may have ended badly, but I'm glad you survived." Luan says.
A few weeks later, Lucy was ready to go home as Lynn Sr. and Rita came with Lincoln.
"Ready to go home, Luce?" Lincoln asked.
Lucy nods.
When they arrived home, there were lots of decorations. Lucy looked around.
"Welcome home!" The siblings said as Lucy's body shook.
"Take it easy on her, okay?" Lincoln says. "She's not used to surprises just yet."
The siblings blinked and noticed Lucy had run off.
She ran to Sally, feeling comfortable around her.
"What happened, Lucy?" Sally asked.
"I don't like parties, they're too loud. And I don't feel well…" Lucy says.
With the others, Lola was watching the summer shows and went to find Lincoln.
"I need you to train me for a pageant this summer!" Lola says.
"I'm not sure…" Lincoln says as Lola gives him the puppy eyes.
"Come on!" Lola says as Lincoln sighed and does so.
Luna wanted to make Lincoln feel welcome.
She wasn't sure how and called Sam for help.
"Hey Sam, can you come over?" Luna asked.
"Sure. Why?" Sam asked.
"We adopted new siblings." Luna says.
"Really? Was it the one who got hit by a car?" Sam asked.
Luna nods.
Sam came over and sees Lincoln.
Lincoln smiled. "Hi, I'm Lincoln!"
"I'm Samantha. But most just call me Sam for short." Sam says, smiling at Lincoln.
"So, Luna says you don't feel welcome." Sam asked
"I feel welcome, but it's Lucy, my little sister that doesn't." Lincoln says.
"Awww, maybe I can help." Sam says.
Lincoln leads Sam upstairs. "Lucy doesn't trust strangers yet." Lincoln says.
"Oh." Sam says.
Sam sees Lucy nervously shaking as the young goth got nervous.
"Hello, I'm Sam Sharp." Sam says. "I heard you aren't feeling welcome here."
Lucy slowly nodded.
"Well, I'm Luna's girlfriend and I sort of relate." Sam says.
"Huh?" Lucy asked.
"When I joined the Moon Goats, I felt unwelcome. But Luna helped me, and over time, I learned to accept the other band mates as family." Sam said, making Lucy smile.
Sally looked at her and smiled as well.
"Hey, Sally, I have an idea. This summer we should take the family to Scotland." Lincoln said.
"As soon as Lucy recovers." Sally says. "That will take some time."
Lucy groaned, wanting to sleep as she shifted.
Sally took her to bed.
A few days later, Lucy gets out of bed feeling betterr.
Lincoln trained Lola for a pageant
"Who are these big threats?" Lincoln asked.
"Luke Huntington, Oliver Fox, also a girl named Tina." Lola says. "Luke is a pageant champion who has more than 250 different crowns and over 100 awards. Oliver is just as good, but he has less crowns, as his total number of crowns is just 200, and he has 150 awards, which is more than Luke. I don't know much about this Tina girl, though."
"Okay." Lincoln says.
At the pageant venue, they see an Arctic blue Mercedes-Benz limo.
Lola glared as Luke stepped out of it. Girls screamed as they watched him walk. He then flashed them a smile and a wink.
"That's Luke?" Lincoln asked as Lola nodded.
"A big jerk." Lola says.
An emerald green Chrysler 300 pulls up next. An auburn curlytop boy comes out of it with his father. Girls scream for him, too. The boy shows a smile that highlights the emerald green shine in his eyes as he flips his auburn curls.
"And I'm guessing that's Oliver?" Lincoln asked as Lola nodded, pouting.
Tina then shows up in a black limo.
"Tina…." Lola hissed.
"That's her?" Lincoln asked.
Lola nodded and headed in. "Listen, Lincoln, I have to win, this is important." Lola says.
"Why do you have to win?" Lincoln asked.
"To be Little Miss Royal Woods, star and hopefully appear in bigger movies." Lola says.
"This is a guys and girls pageant. Anyone could take that grand prize." Lincoln says.
"I know plus beating Luke and Oliver would make me famous" Lola says
With Lucy, she sees the siblings getting ready to go.
"Where are you going?" She asked.
"Lola has a big pageant" Lori explained as Lucy still felt injured and didn't feel like she belonged.
"Where's Lincoln?" Lucy asked as she shook and shivered.
"He went with her." Luna says.
Lucy sighed.
Meanwhile, Lola didn't want to admit it, but she was nervous.
The first round begins with modeling on a runway. Luke goes up first. Girls cheer for him and he winks at them and flashes a winning smile.
Tina came up next and waves to the crowd.
Oliver was next and he literally turned on the charm. He flashed a smile, flipped his hair, and blinked his emerald green eyes in a cute way. Girls sighed dreamily.
"Oh, no! Oh, no! There's no way I can win…" Lola says, feeling unconfident.
"Just try your best." Lincoln says.
"Thanks Lincoln I had…doubts about you. But you're not that bad. Lucy's a little creepy though." Lola says.
Soon, it was her turn as Lola did a split, making one heck of an entrance.
Tina looked on, impressed, also nervous of failing in front of her parents.
Second round was where talent was showcased.
Lola showcases her natural pageant talent.
"Ha!" Lola says as the judges give her a 10 and one gives a 9.5, making her smile.
Oliver had his turn, and he smiled, doing gymnastics to the song "Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In" by The Sunlight Shakers. Girls screamed for Oliver. And he got 10's all around.
Luke soon came out and he sang "Jailhouse Rock", dressed as Elvis in a jailbird costume. Girls squealed and fainted.
Tina came out and played the piano. People cheered for her.
Soon, Lola drank water during a break.
"Okay, no more games!" Lola says.
The third round consisted of "Candy Wear", which was costumes or outfits themed around a contestant's favorite candy.
Tina came out, wearing a Sour Patch Kids-themed dress. The crowd loved it.
Luke was next, dressed in a 3 Musketeers-themed prince outfit. Girls squealed at how cute it looked.
Oliver came out in a Dum-Dum Pops-themed marching band leader's outfit. The crowd adored it, and girls sighed dreamily.
Lola glared and got ready to go next.
She came out in a Kit Kat-themed dress as kids screamed and jumped up and wanted to join her. Lola smiled and flashed a shiny smile, lighting up the room as the judges cheered and smiled.
Soon they announced the winners. Luke came in third, Lola got second, and Oliver got first place and the ultimate grand supreme title. Lola frowned, a bit mad.
"Hey, it's okay, you can win next time." Lincoln says.
The siblings nodded " what do you think Luce?" Lincoln asked.
Lucy gave a shy smile.
" she means she's proud " Lincoln says
