Chapter 224
Hiccups POV:
I groaned as I slowly opened my eyes and quickly shut them while hissing in pain and covered them before I heard a familiar growl of joy and felt a big scaled head nuzzling my chest. I slowly opened my eyes to avoid the pain and looked down to see Toothless nuzzling my chest as I smiled and rubbed his head before saying.
"I'm happy to see you to." I then looked around and found myself in the room I was given in the palace with my gear resting on the table under the window before I groaned and rubbed my head. "How long have I been out?" A voice from the door answered.
"You have been out for three days straight." I turned to see Mohan standing there with Sanjay.
"Three days?" He nodded before he stared at me for a few moments.
"My son is right, that eye of yours is a little intimidating when you look at it more than a few seconds." I chuckled.
"Why do you think I keep it covered up all the time." He smiled before Sanjay walked up with something in his hand and said.
"Me and the men dug through the area you were found in to see if there was anything that fell off you after the battle and found this hanging on the cliffside." He held the item out to reveal it to be my eyepatch making me smile as I took it.
"Thanks." I slowly put it back on. "This eyepatch was made for me from the pommel of the sword of demon lord I beat after he took my eye, so it has sentimental value." He smiled at me.
"Could you tell me how you beat the demon lord." I chuckled and rubbed his head.
"I'll do more than that later but for now I'd like to know what I've missed out on while I've been unconscious." He nodded before walking back to his father's side as Mohan said.
"Catching you up on things would best be told over the meal that is waiting for us in the dining room." He placed an arm around his son. "We'll be waiting for you in the dining hall while you get dressed." I smiled and nodded as they left.
Nightfall
I was sitting on the castle roof with Toothless lying behind me as I stared up at the star filled sky while going over all I'd learned from Mohan and Sanjay about what's happened. Apparently, Sanjay lead a large group of palace guards to the temple of Kali where they quickly began raiding it, capturing any Servant of Kali they could find while also gathering up the unconscious ones I'd left behind. A few of the Servants of Kali were able to escape into the jungle though, heading East and since the guards still had a lot to deal with in the mines and going through the jungle would take time, they had to let them go. The servants who were captured though were given the death penalty for their crimes and were executed shortly after they were brought back to the palace.
The room that once belonged to Sahil had been raided where the poison he had been giving Mohan and had one of his healers check it out to create an antidote that he'd been taking to clean the poison out of his body. As for the children, they were originally brought to the palace to be taken care of until they were well enough to return to their village. Fortunately, they just needed some good food, clean water and some medicine to be rubbed onto their bruises, blisters and cuts made by the whips. Tomorrow, Toothless and I will be personally escorting them back to their village tomorrow but I'm sad to say the gem that was taken from the village since that gem along with the others had not been recovered. I just don't know how I was going to explain it the elder and the people but hopefully they'd just be grateful to have their children back in the loving arms of their parents.
When that's done I intend to go after the Servants of Kali who were able to escape and already sent all of my Bastet warriors to track them down to either bring them in or at the very least give me an idea of where they're going. I sent them out after breakfast and so far, none of them have come back with anything but the Servants of Kali do have a three-day head start on them. I sighed knowing there wasn't that big a chance of finding all the Servants of Kali but if we're able to bring at least one back it means there'll be less scum roaming the land and causing trouble for the people. With this in mind I sighed as I stood up and turned to Toothless as I said.
"C'mon bud, we've got a long hike ahead of us tomorrow, so we best get some sleep." He crooned and we headed back inside to get some sleep.
Next day
The afternoons sun shone down on us as me and Toothless lead all the children through the jungle half of my Anubis warriors and all my Seth warriors surrounding them to keep them safe. As we got closer to the village though I noticed that it seemed a whole lot livelier than it was before with life seeming to return to the land itself compared to what it was like last time. It was then the village finally came into view and it was nothing like it was before since before there were people doing their best to store food, women looking dead on their feet, men looking as if they'd lost the desire to live while the land itself was pretty much drained of life. Now the people were wondering around with life in their step and hope in their eyes and this was something that truly made me smile since it was a nice sight to see.
It was then before I could react, the children realized where we were and ran past me yelling out for their parents which is something the people of the village noticed. I stood by and watched with a smile on my face as parents ran to greet their children who were running to embrace their parents while I continued to walk towards the village allowing the people could have their reunion. When I walked into the village, I saw children been lifted up and down by their overjoyed parents with some kissing their children in joy before the village Elder walked up to me smiling as he said.
"We knew you were going to return when life came back to our village." I didn't return the smile knowing it was better to give him the news about the gem now rather than later.
"I'm glad I was able to return your kids but I'm sorry I couldn't bring back the gem of Shiva to you since they all disappeared after I beat Sahil." He smiled at me.
"My friend you have absolutely nothing to be sorry about." I raised an eyebrow.
"I was meditating when you defeated Sahil and it was then Shiva appeared before me and from her I learnt that she returned the gems to the land, cleansing it of the evil that the Servants of Kali had infused into it." He then gestured to the land around us. "The power from the gem still protects us but now it is within the very land we walk upon." I let out a sigh of relief.
"That's a relief."
"Hiccup I can never thankyou enough for what you have done for my people and my land." He then bowed to me. "You have my thanks." I smiled as he stood back up before I frowned.
"I'm afraid it's not over yet." He raised an eyebrow. "A few of the Servants of Kali were able to get away and although I sent a few of my own forces after them, only three were brought in this morning."
"So, there are still some out there?" I nodded.
"And I intend to bring in as many of them as I can to be punished for their crimes." He smiled.
"A noble quest which I wish you luck on my friend." I smiled. "Now come, I believe my people would like to thank you for bringing life back to our village." I turned to see the people running towards us and smiled as I turned to Toothless who looked up at me while growling in annoyance.
"Yeah, I know it's going to be one of those times bud but hey they just want to thank us for our help." Then we were surrounded with people shaking my hand and patting me on the back with kids hugging me.
5 days later
It's been five days since I got the kids back to their village and that time has been spent tracking down, capturing and interrogating Servants of Kali on the possible whereabouts of their friends. They were all mostly tightlipped in the beginning but a few seconds under the influence of my Anubis khopesh was enough to loosen them up to reveal where their pals had run off to. Apparently, they were heading towards some big city known as Varanasi which is set up next to a river that is sacred to the people called the Ganges river, where people go to cleanse themselves. Apparently, they were planning to meet with another group of followers who had formed a base somewhere in the city and were hoping to rebuild their numbers from there and come back to reclaim the land when they finished rebuilding their forces.
Once I got this information out of them I'd spoken with Mohan about it and apparently he and the ruler of the city were old friends and he was all too happy to give me a letter of introduction to give to the emperor so he'd not only call his guards off but offer his aid in any form I asked. He also gave me a pendant with his seal on it, telling me that all I'd have to do is show it to the guards and they'd let me meet with the ruler of the city so I could give him the letter of introduction. Mohan did advise me to leave Toothless out of the city until I could meet with the ruler since he might send the wrong kind of message to the people of the city.
After that we said our goodbyes and left on the long flight to the city arriving earlier this morning and I had to say the city was impressive and it reminded me a bit of the Arabian cities' architecture. Despite the impressive architecture there seemed to be something wrong with people seeming to walk around, worrying about something and along with this I saw people bathing in a dried-up, river that only had mud in it. When I asked one of the locals about it he claimed that the river was known as the Ganges river and it's sacred to the people of the land which connects them to their ancestors and gods. When they wash their bodies in it, they purify both their bodies and souls which is why people were bathing in it despite it only being mud now. He claimed the reason for the river drying out is because the gods had become angered with them and brought about a drought to rob the city of its life-giving water.
When I asked him, what made the people think this, he gave me the answer that it was the cities Guru, Hunar who speaks with the gods and leader of their religious sector. He told the people this and that to end it, the princess who is their rulers only child, must be sacrificed to appease them and return water to their river under the light of the rising sun that ends the night of the full moon which is in three days. This was not an answer I was expecting nor was it an answer I liked since I knew the gods weren't angry with the people and to be honest, there was something off about the situation. This was something I intended to let the ruler of the people know since I had a feeling that the Servants of Kali might be behind this in some way.
Now I was making my way down the palace hall with two palace guards wearing red vests with white lining, white pantaloons and red hats, armed with spears at my sides, taking me to meet with the cities ruler to give him the letter from Mohan. It was then we entered a large room with a platform at the back that had a giant yellow silk cushion with green lining on it, three steps that went all around it leading up onto the final level, a red painted chair back that had a small pointed roof above the cushion and a long carpet leading up to it. The room itself was large with polished marble floors, white walls and facing the pedestal was a large indoor balcony with three yellow pillars built into it, red railing with a purple fence wall.
As for the people in the room, there was an elderly man with a moustache, wearing a white turban that had a light blue gem in the middle holding a white feather down, white coat with blue lining, black silk belt and blue shoes sitting cross-legged on the large cushion. Sitting on the steps was a girl who looked to be my age wearing a short yellow vest with white lining that exposed her belly, gold bracelets, white pantaloons and light yellow shoes with her shoulder length hair tied together in the middle of the back. The guard on my left walked up and bowed to the man on the cushion as he said.
"Sire, this foreigner has come claiming the ruler of the jungle Mohan sent him, offering this as proof." The guard showed the man who I now knew to be the ruler of this city the pendant with the ruler taking it and examining it for a few seconds before nodding.
"It is truly the seal of my old friend Mohan." He clapped his hands before raising them towards me. "You may approach me foreigner." I walked up and got on my knees before bowing to the ruler as he said. "I am the Rajah Ishir," He then gestured to the girl. "And this is my daughter Advika." She nodded to me in greeting.
"My name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third and as for why I'm here." I pulled out the letter of introduction. "This will explain everything." One of the guards took it before handing it to the rajah who opened it and when he began reading it, his eyes widened as he then turned to me.
"Have the Servants of Kali truly returned?" I nodded.
"I'm afraid so since I caught enough of them to make it believable, but some were able to escape and able to flee here to your city." He stood up hearing this.
"What can I do to help you find them?"
"Don't worry, I've heard you've got enough to deal with from what I've heard." He sighed and nodded before looking at his daughter.
"Indeed, should rain not return to my land then I will be forced to lose my daughter." He clenched his hands. "All because of that villain Hunar."
"Why don't you just tell the people to leave her alone." He looked down as Advika answered.
"My father is powerful but Hunar was born with a serpents tongue that he has used to gather a following that would be enough to consider an army and should we refuse then he may use that tongue to make it seem as if my father doesn't care about the people and only his own family." Ishir then said.
"I can easily see that his true intentions are to have my daughter executed and leave me without an heir so when I pass away, he shall be able to take the throne." It was then a voice from the door said.
"Is that truly what you think your highness?"
We all turned to see a man in navy blue robes with a yellow circle on the chest, a navy-blue turban and had a short-pointed beard that went around his mouth. Next to him was a man wearing light grey robes and matching turban with a beard made of curly hair that was also sticking out from the edges of his turban. I knew the man in the navy-blue robes had to be Hunar and I also knew right then and there that I did not like him in the least since he gave off this bad vibe. Hunar walked up to the edge of the steps, pushing me out of the way as he did so before he said.
"My only concern is how this drought is destroying the lives of the people and only wish to help bring an end to the wrath of the gods and it must be done by giving a sacrifice of royal blood." Ishir glared at him as I decided to make my presence known.
"Which would leave the throne with no heir." He turned to me with a look that told me he thought I was beneath him before turning back to Ishir.
"Your highness, who is this foreigner who thinks he has the right to speak when we are trying to discuss the safety of the people." Hunar gestured to me.
"His name is Hiccup Haddock and he is a friend of the ruler of our neighboring land and he has come here to track some members of the group belonging to the Servants of Kali who fled here after he destroyed their group in the land he just came from." Hunar chuckled.
"The Servants of Kali were destroyed long ago your highness; this is obviously some sort of trick this foreigner came up with to earn your trust." I glared at him, feeling the urge to punch him getting stronger along with the feeling that I should keep an eye on them.
"He had the seal of Mohan and a letter of confirmation that has been written and signed by Mohan who I know is no liar." "Before Hunar could reply I decided to speak.
"And neither am I." All eyes turned to me. "I encountered the servants of Kali who had taken all the children from a small village to force them to work as mining slaves in the mines they had beneath the palace." He raised an eyebrow.
"Oh really?" He smirked. "And where are these Servants of Kali now?" I shrugged.
"The majority of them have been executed for their crimes so they've been sent to the underworld alongside their leader while a few of them were able to escape into the jungle and from what I learnt after interrogating a few of the captured ones, they were heading to this city where a small group of followers has supposedly formed." He chuckled.
"Please, if a group of those criminals formed, we would all know about it." He turned to the man in the grey robes. "Is that not right Jaisvi?" The man known as Jasivi nodded.
"Indeed master." Ishir then stood up.
"If this is all you have come to say then please leave now so we may continue to discuss things with Hiccup Haddock." He bowed.
"As you command your majesty." He then stood up and smirked at me. "Although, I advise you not put too much trust in this foreigner as he does not seem like he is capable of too much since he's obviously weak." I growled but knew this was a good chance to place a jewel wig on them to keep an eye on them so I quickly had my spiderpack send one of my jewel wigs into each of my sleeves before I placed my real hand on his shoulder giving it a tight squeeze making him flinch in pain.
"Do not call me weak!" My jewel wig quickly scuttled onto his robes, hiding beneath a fold as Jasivi placed a hand on my arm.
"Let go of my master this instant peasant!" I grabbed his arm with my prosthetic hand squeezing him tightly as he let go while whining in pain, not seeing the jewel wig run out of my sleeve and into his.
"Do not call me peasant!" I pushed them both back. "Now unless you want to see me be a little rougher, leave now." They both quickly ran out before Ishir said.
"Impressive Hiccup but are you sure that was wise as Hunar will no doubt paint you as a violent villain among the populace?" I smiled at him.
"Don't worry, I have something that will bring rain, temporarily solving your water problem." Their eyes widened before Advika asked.
"Do you truly possess such magic?" I nodded.
"I do so just have the people gather somewhere this afternoon and I will bring rain to this land." They smiled and nodded before Ishir turned to one of the guards.
"Get the messenger and tell him to have the people come to the palace this afternoon." He nodded and ran off to do as told while Ishir turned to me.
"I hope you are able to do as you say my friend."
"Don't worry, I can but for now I believe I should tell you about my travelling companion so he can come to the palace without causing a panic." They each raised an eyebrow before I began telling them about Toothless.
Afternoon
The afternoon sun shone down on me from above as I stood there on the throne rooms balcony with my African rain drum in front of me, the royals and Toothless behind me and a large crowd looking up at me from below. Ishir had just announced me as someone who could bring rain to the lands and as expected there were a lot of people calling me a liar and the one leading the crowd was none other than Hunar himself who was at the front with Jasivi who I now knew to be his right hand man. I looked down at the crowd from the balconies railing before I took a breath and began beating my drum before the clouds began to form while thunder rumbled, silencing all the people who were yelling that I was a liar. A few seconds later rain began pouring down on the city, soaking the heads of the people below and soaking me as well while the people began to cheer.
Nightfall
I'd played my drum none stop for the fifteen minutes and as expected, by the end I was completely soaked from head to toe, as were the people below but none of them could look happier. When I stopped playing my drum the rain stopped but the rain, I was able to give the people was enough to bring a little life and joy back into the city. Sadly, Hunar and Jasivi ruined it for everyone by claiming that what I was a temporary solution that would only succeed in angering Hindra, their god of the sky, lightning, weather, thunder, storms, rains, river flows and war. As expected, a few of the people listened to him and the distrust quickly spread through the crowd and I had to retreat into the palace to get some peace. Nevertheless, Ishir was grateful to me for the rain I was able to bring to the land since it may not have been much, but any small bit of water would help bring the land back to life. The actions of Hunar and Jasivi during the rain worried me so I decided it best to keep a closer eye on them which leads us to now.
I was sitting cross-legged on large bed with red covers, silk pillows and a polished wooden frame, in a white walled room on a with a balcony looking out onto the city, a marble table with legs that looked like four elephant looking away from each other next to the bed with a bowl of fruit on it and a large carpet taking up most of the white marble tiled floor. Laying across from me on the other side of the room was none other than Toothless who was keeping a close eye on the door since I told him that I did not want to be disturbed. What I was doing while sitting down was staring through the eyes of my jewel wigs that I placed on Hunar and Jasivi and I was not liking what they were saying. Hunar was going on about how I could be a threat to their plans and was sending Jasivi out of the city to make sure everything is in place for what is to come after the execution of the royals.
I knew this was something I needed to keep an eye on but the problem was I didn't want to leave the city since I wouldn't put it past Hunar to use my absence to his advantage and try cause a riot or do something else against the royals while I'm gone. I took a breath to calm my nerves before I pulled out my dragon pipe and brought it to my lips and gently began puffing it to help me think of what I should do. I puffed the smoke from my pipe a few more times before snapping my fingers as I came to a decision to stay here in the palace to keep an eye on things while sending my ninja after Jasivi to keep an eye on things. I stopped puffing my pipe and summoned my ninja before giving them each their mission but made it clear not to do anything against him until I gave the order. So, they know when to strike I gave them each a bronze spider to tell them when to act and to act as another pair of eyes for me and I want as many eyes as I can on what was happening. When they were gone, I sighed and stood up before making my way outside onto the balcony to look out over the city while thinking but my thoughts were interrupted when Toothless walked up, crooning as he nudged my arm. I looked down and smiled before rubbing his head and said.
"I'm fine bud, just a little worried about what Hunar and his lackeys are up to." He growled. "Yeah, I know they're jerks but they've got a lot of people backing them up so until we can show the people what they're really like, we can't make a move against them." He rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I know things are hard to understand around here bud, but we need to wait for the right moment to strike." He crooned as I sighed. "For now, we best get some rest while waiting for Jasivi to arrive at whatever it is their planning to use to take control of the city." He crooned and nodded as I walked back to into the room to get some sleep.
2 days later
Two days have passed since we first arrived in this city and that time has mostly been spent mostly keeping an eye on Hunar and Jasivi which lead to me finding out the truth about them. It turns out that not only were they both Servants of Kali with Hunar being the head of the followers like Sahil was back in the jungle but also that the Servant's of Kali were the ones behind the river dried up. They'd taken advantage of the draught to then make it seem like the gods were angry with them by cutting off their water completely by stopping the flow of the Ganges river. I learnt the morning after our arrival when Jasivi arrived at a large camp that they did so by having their entire group go upstream and damn the river to stop its flow and only unblock it after both royals are dead and Hunar has taken the throne.
Now it was an hour before dawn when Advika was to be executed as a sacrifice to the gods to bring water back to the land and although I knew how it was all a big scam, set up by the Servants of Kali. I was laying on my bed wide awake and staring up at the ceiling with my head resting against Toothless who was laying behind me while I tried to come up with a way to show everyone Hunar really was and that the dried up river was his fault. I couldn't just accuse him of it in front of everyone or they'd all rebel, calling me a liar who was here to anger the gods like they did when I brought them rain.
It was then I looked through the eyes of the jewelwig I put on Jasivi and saw him ordering one of the men to gather everyone in the camp up at the crack of dawn for a speech about their plans. I sighed hoping that I'd be able to get an idea on how to expose Hunar for who he was before dawn when Advika was to be sacrificed to the gods to bring water back to the lands. I lifted my prosthetic arm and looked at the palm with my stone of good fortune on it along with the items that allow me to summon my forces. I lowered my prosthetic and put it back behind my head knowing my forces wouldn't do me any good since it would just cause trouble with the Servants of Kali being too far away so I'd never make it back in time.
Along with this, summoning my forces would cause a panic which is not something I wanted in the least as that would just cause more trouble for Ishir. I admit though I'd love to see some of my Horus warriors pin Hunar to the wall with their arrows and with their aim, they'd have no trouble doing it. It was then my eyes widened in realization on how I could expose Hunar for who he truly was but it'd have to be at the execution so all I could do now was wait for the right moment to strike.
1 hour later
I was wearing a hooded cloak, standing at the front of the crowd that had gathered in front of the palace, in front of the large stage that had been set up with the executioners block on it and a large bald man who was shirtless and wearing white pantaloons while holding a large axe in front of him. Standing behind the block was none other than Hunar himself who was looking at the chopping block with a cruel smile on his face, probably picturing the blood that he believed would soon stain it but not if I had anything to say about it. It was then Advika who had her hands tied behind her back was brought out by two guards and everyone cheered as she was led up on stage as people cheered and I smiled since through the eyes of my jewelwig, I could see Jasivi was getting ready for his speech.
It was then Advika kneeled down in front of the chopping block and lowered her head onto the wood as everyone cheered for her but as the man pulled the axe up I made my move. I quickly raised my prosthetic and launched a blade at the pole of the axe and it cut right through it before the axe head fell to the ground as everyone looked on in shock while I made my way onto the stage. I removed the cloak to reveal myself to them as the people began to cry out in anger at me while I whistled for Toothless who quickly flew down from the roof of the palace and roared, shutting everyone up. Before I could say anything though Hunar pointed at me and yelled out.
"VILLAIN!" He lowered his hand. "YOU DO NOT WISH FOR OUR SACRED RIVER TO FLOW AGAIN!" The people yelled in agreement and began calling for my head until Toothless roared again.
"If your people want the water of the river to flow again then perhaps they should have the dam that you had your men build taken down." Everyone looked in shock as color left his face before he quickly shook out of it.
"LIAR, YOU ARE JUST TRYING TO TURN MY PEOPLE AGAINST ME!" I smirked.
"You know what I like about you bad guys?" I pulled out my golden falcons. "How you always have your minions give speeches that brag about your plans." I placed the falcons on the chopping block. "Fly my eyes of Horus and show me Jasivi." One of them went off before the second projected the image of Jasivi standing on a large dam, in front of a crowd of people who were looking up at him as he said.
"BROTHERS, BY NOW THE PRINCESS OF VARANASI HAS BEEN EXECUTED THANKS TO THE GENIUS PLAN OF OUR HIGH PRIEST AND FUTURE RAJAH HUNAR WHO CAME UP WITH THIS PLAN TO USE THE DROUGHT TO TAKE COMMAND OF THE CITY!" The men cheered as I smirked, seeing Hunar pale to the point I thought he'd go white. "ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS BUILD THIS DAM TO CUT OFF THE RIVER AND ONCE THE PRINCESS IS DEAD HE'LL TRICK THE PEOPLE INTO SACRIFICING THE SULTAN WHICH IS WHEN THE DAM WILL BE BROUGHT DOWN AND NOBODY WILL QUESTION HIS RIGHT TO RULE!" There were more cheers from the men at the dam and more looks of shock and horror from the people in front of the stage. "AND ONCE HE TAKES THE THRONE, THE CITY WILL BELONG TO THE SERVANT'S OF KALI!" The men cried out in agreement as I called my falcon back before I turned to the people.
"Now do you all believe Hunar is the one you can't trust?" I didn't listen to their answer and turned to Hunar. "So, you want to save us both sometime and surrender now or would you prefer to try and escape before getting a beatdown?" He glared at me before jumping to the side and grabbed Advika and brought out a curved dagger, holding it to her neck.
"Make a move and the princess dies." I glared at him.
"Harm one hair on her head and I will personally use every torture method I know on you and I've been to a lot of places with their own methods that the people didn't mind teaching me." He simply smirked and pulled out a small vial.
"If you think it'll be that easy then you are a bigger fool than I thought."
He tossed it to the ground and when the glass shattered, there was red smoke everywhere that was so thick, I couldn't breath and began coughing until the smoke dissipated. When the smoke was gone I looked around for Hunar and growled when I didn't see him or Advika anywhere and growled before summoning ten of my Bastet warriors. I looked at them with a look that said I was dead serious as I said.
"There was a man who took Advika and I want him tracked down but make sure neither of them is hurt." They nodded and took off while I turned to Toothless. "I am not looking forward to explaining this to Ishir." Toothless just rolled his eyes and took off. "Woah, woah, woah, and where are you going."
5 hours later
Five hours have passed since Advika was kidnapped by Hunar and that time had been spent trying to find him which was actually not so difficult thanks to the jewelwig and Bastet warriors. When he was found, riding through the jungle on a horse with Advika laid on the back of it, I had my Bastet warriors keep close to him but to keep their distance to avoid putting Advika in even more danger. The reason for this is not only did I consider her a friend but also because the city would be without an heir and Ishir told me that if anything happens to his daughter he'd have me killed in the most painful way possible. Fortunately, he wasn't able to really begin his rant since a bunch of the people demanded to know what they were going to do and also panicking with how the Servants of Kali had returned, giving me the chance to escape his wrath.
Now I was standing in a tree with Toothless next to me and my ninja standing on various branches of the same tree while we looked down at the camp that surrounded a large dam. This camp was where the Servants of Kali were living and guarding the dam with all the followers, currently gathered in front of a small stage where Hunar and Jasivi were standing with Advika kneeled down in front of them. Right now, Hunar was giving his followers a speech about how I destroyed their plan but how it was just a single setback and that they'd get a new man into the city and spread their beliefs. He then gestured to the dam and Advika telling them how they still had the dam and the heir of the city so they still had the upper hand against the city. When he said this, I muttered.
"Not for long!" I turned to my ninja. "When the chaos starts, get Advika out of there as fast as you can before dealing with any stragglers in the base." They nodded as I turned to Toothless. "Bud, when Advika is safe I want you to take her and get her back to the city." He crooned before I rubbed his head. "Don't worry, I'll be fine but we won't if anything happens to Advika since there is nothing scarier than an angry father." He nodded but I could see he was hesitant. "Listen, as soon as you get back, you can lead the guards here to come and arrest the Servants of Kali and pick me up." He growled and nodded as I turned to the dam. "We better get ready to deal with that dam first though."
I pulled out two canisters of boom beetles and opened them up before sending them out towards the dam and to group up on places that I knew were the weak spots thanks to the eye of the dragon. With the beetles in place and my forces knowing their jobs I pulled out six crystal shuriken and filled them with my knockout gas and got ready to use them. I stared at the crowd as I took a breath and then threw the shuriken one by one, aiming at locations all over the crowd and let the gas flow out of them and slowly blanket the crowd. There were gasps of shock followed by a ton of coughing and bodies hitting the ground as I signaled my ninja to get Advika off the stage, which they were quick to do as Toothless glided down towards them.
They quickly got her onto Toothless who quickly took off with her while I jumped from my spot on the tree and spreading my wings, allowing me to glide towards the stage where Hunar and Jasivi were looking at the dissipating gas in shock as it revealed their unconscious men. When I was near the stage I quickly pulled my wings in and curled up to perform a catastrophic quaken kick, delivering my powerful kick right into Jasivi who went flying back into a tree. I didn't give his body the chance to hit the ground though, I quickly launched four of my bola discs which quickly tied him to the tree unable to move. I smirked and turned to Hunar as I said.
"You could've saved us some time when we were back in the city by just surrendering but you just had to run away." He glared.
"Things aren't going to end here foreigner."
He quickly threw his hands towards me, tossing a bit of dust into my eyes before I could react, blinding me as he tackled me off the stage and began strangling me. I quickly took his arms and rolled us around to the side trying to get on top of him with him doing the same until we went over the edge of the empty river. He let go of me when we hit the mud allowing me to stand up and begin to try rub the dust out of my eye and off my eyepatch but before I could full recover he tackled me by the waist and into the mud. Before I could react though I felt a blades edge pressed against my neck and opened my eyes to see Hunar looking at me with a glare and a curved blade in his left hand that I could tell was like the one he had against my neck as he said.
"I am going to enjoy this but first a little pain for ruining my plans." He took the blade in his left hand and stabbed it into my upper right leg making me scream in pain as I tried to grab his arms but he pushed the blade against my neck a little harder making me lower my hands while he shoved the blade deeper into my leg as I grit my teeth in pain. "Any last words, foreigner?" I looked back at the dam and knew there was only one thing I could do but I knew I was going to be in a lot of trouble with my wives when I see them again in Valhalla so I sighed and said.
"You might want to take a deep breath." He raised an eyebrow as I snapped my fingers right before the boom beetles went off, destroying the dam as he turned to look in shock and horror at the rushing water before turning to me as I smirked. "Surfs up!" He glared but before he could move the water rushed over us and everything went black.
AN: And here's another chapter for you all to enjoy and I admit I was planning on posting a fake chapter for an April fools' prank but decided against it since that would be cruel. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed the new chapter and remember to review because I'm getting pretty sad about the lack of reviews the last few chapters have gotten. Please remember to review or the cliffhangers will keep on coming and until the next chapter, have a nice day and remember to review.
