Chapter 237
Hiccups POV:
It's been a week since I arrived in the palace of Poseidon and those days had been spent exploring not only the palace but also the city of Atlantis using my merrow cap which made it possible to breath beneath the ocean. The architecture of the building was incredible with the coral reefs growing around the buildings and being used as supports for various things. As for the city itself, it reminded me a lot of the multiple Greek cities I'd visited before with various aquatic plants decorating the grounds, statues of Poseidon and other water based Greek gods and increasing the cities beauty, including the giant statue of Poseidon in the front yard of the palace that in the center of the city. Still despite the incredible beauty of the city, I preferred to remain in the palace since Poseidon was kind enough to keep the section, I was staying in drained of water so I could breathe without my merrow cap which became itchy after wearing it all day.
That was one reason, but the main reason is I didn't like the way the Atlanteans looked at me since most of them looked at me as if I was some sort of foreign animal which I didn't understand since we didn't look all that different. The Atlanteans looked like normal people except they had webbed hands and feet and their ears looked like fish fins while their necks had small gills on them but other than that, they looked like normal people. Still there were those who weren't like that but to be honest, I would have preferred some of them like that since they were like the fans I had to deal with on the surface. The women would try to cozy up to me, the men would ask me for sparring matches while the children would ask me about my adventures on the surface. This is why I mostly stayed in the palace since it was a peaceful place where I able to admire the artworks and reliefs of Poseidon's various battles, so it wasn't all bad. Along with this I was also able to get some training with the guards done and gain a little practice when fighting waist deep in water since that's how they trained. After spending the days training them and teaching them some new moves, they each pitched in to have a replica of Poseidon's triton made for me as thanks for my help and to remember our time together. I figured it would look good in the trophy room as a reminder of this entire adventure since I hadn't gotten anything from Zael.
Now I was standing before Poseidon who was sitting on his throne summoning me to discuss something, but he hasn't said what it is he wanted to talk about. Poseidon looked down from his throne with a smile on his face as he said.
"Hiccup, it has been a week since you were brought here to recover from your battle with the Telchines and my son and while you have been resting, I have made arrangements for gifts to thank you for what you have done but first Aeolus has kept an eye on you and how you control the wind using the seal on both your ship and on the place where your griffins nest." I rubbed a hand through my hair.
"To be honest, I rarely ever use them since it can be dangerous at times so I only use them when absolutely necessary." He smiled.
"Wise decision Hiccup Haddock and it because of that I believe you are worthy of having this." He pulled out a brown ox hide bag with a rope around the opening to close it shut and tossed it to me. "This is the same bag that was given to Odysseus by Aeolus to give him fair winds home and now you may use it to store winds to be used as you please but you will need to use the seal to refill it from time to time." I nodded in gratitude and put it over my shoulder for now. "Now onto your next gift." He then gestured to my belt or to be more precise the piece that held my ice wolf armor. "That item you keep on your belt, I understand that it holds the armor given to you by the son of Fenrir." I nodded.
"I use it for the icier regions of the world that I visit." He smiled.
"Well, I hope this one will be just as useful to you." He pulled out another item that resembled a belt buckle and tossed it to me and when I examined it, I saw that it had the image of a golden triton coming out of the ocean which was parting on both sides of the Triton and surrounding it was a sea serpent made of silver while the sea was sapphire mixed with sea green gemstones making the waves and on the outside of it on the back was all gold and silver that was holding it all together. "This item, like the piece on your belt contains a suit of armor that shall make your underwater exploration a bit easier, but it shall only be active once you have combined it with your merrow cap." I raised an eyebrow. "In order to do so, just place your merrow cap in your hand and place the buckle on top of it." I nodded. "The buckle will absorb the cap with its power, but it can only be done when standing in the water." I nodded in understanding and hooked the buckle onto my belt.
"Thank you, lord Poseidon." I hooked the item onto my belt and smiled, looking forward to seeing what it could do.
"I also understand that you have a ship that you strap to the back of one of your dragons and it allows you to travel underwater." I nodded.
"Yeah, the only issue is how it needs to resurface from time to time to refill the air." He smiled.
"While you recovered from the battle, I sent Hephaestus to study it and agreed that there is much room for improvement but he did compliment your work, saying it was some of the best workmanship he's seen made by a mortal." He then pulled out a palm sized, ocean blue token before he tossed it to me. "Press this onto the hull of the ship when it is on the back of your dragon to give the ship a few improvements and additions." I examined it and I saw it had the mark of Hephaestus on one side and the mark of Poseidon on the other.
"I'm looking forward to seeing what the upgrades do to my ship." I put it away in my spiderpack as Poseidon then brought out an Amphora.
"I have heard that you have been given mead and nectar of the gods." I nodded as the amphora that I now saw had a top decorated with pearls and the symbol of Poseidon on the body. floated to me. "This amphora contains Atlantean wine and I can assure you that it is far stronger than normal wine and after giving each of your wives, two goblets" He got a smile that seemed a little off. "I'm sure you'll enjoy the outcome." I'm not sure what he meant but I had the feeling I was going to enjoy the effects the wine had on them. "Now tell me how the hippocampus I gave you is doing." I smiled.
"Kal is doing fine and makes a great playmate for the kids and helps me find sunken ships."
"I assume he may get lonely from time to time." I shrugged.
"Sometimes but it never lasts long since he always finds a new playmate whether it be in the form of my kids or dragons." He smiled and snapped his fingers before another hippocampus swam out of the pool.
"I believe this female shall make a good playmate for him and a good mate in general as they were close when they lived together." I smiled and gently rubbed the hippocampus's head as she let out huffs of pleasure.
"Thank you, lord Poseidon, for these gifts, opening your home to me while I healed and everything else you have blessed me with." He smiled before raising his hand and a whirlpool appeared in the pool.
"This is my final gift to you Hiccup, jump in and you shall be sent back home."
I smiled and gave him one last bow and thanks before I put the gifts away in my spiderpack and hopped into the water and allowed myself to be pulled below the water and just as quickly as I sunk, I was pushed up to break the water. I took a few gulfs of air and looked around and realized I was in the ocean just off the shallow end of my islands Hawaiian beach with the hippocampus swimming next to me. I smiled and shook my head before turning to the hippocampus and said.
"The gods truly work in mysterious ways." She just let out a spray of water from her nose as I chuckled. "Come on, let's go let everyone know about our arrival and introduce you to everyone." She let out a neigh and we took off towards the island.
Nightfall
I was lying in bed with Astrid and Blanca on either side of me after enjoying a time of passion with them which was caused by two goblets of Atlantean wine each. I now understood what Poseidon meant when he said I'd enjoy the results of two goblets since after the kids were tucked into bed, I gave the girls the wine and the second they finished their second goblets, they got looks of burning passion in their eyes. They then proceeded to grab me by under my arms and drag me up to the bedroom where they pretty much ripped my nightwear off as they threw me onto the bed. Before I could even react, they'd stripped down and were on top of me and for the next four hours, I wasn't able to escape them but then again, who would want to escape such an incredible time since the closest they'd come to showing nearly that much passion was my birthday. Long story short, I was now exhausted and covered in sweat as were the girls who were now sleeping silently, and I could not blame them since we'd been at it for so long.
As I lay there staring at the ceiling, I couldn't help but think about my day after I arrived home since after I got back to the island, I barely got a moment to sit down and relax since everyone was happy to have me back and were dying to know what happened on my trip. As expected, it was off to Berk after everyone saw I was back and got all the hugs, kisses, nuzzles and licks out of the way so we could let the people of Berk know I was home. Long story short, when I got into the Great Hall my father nearly broke my ribs with the hug, he pulled me into since he feared I'd be killed considering the foe I was going up against was one who could force even a god to retreat. My mother wasn't any better since she kept kissing my head and asking me if I was alright, earning me a lot of mocking laughs from everyone with some calling me a mama's boy but I gave them a glare using the eye of the dragon to shut them up.
When they were eventually able to pry my parents off me, I had to tell them all about the foe I faced and the Telchines while also needing to explain who the Telchines were and what they were doing. I spent an hour answering questions people had about them and about Zael along with who Poseidon was since not a lot of them knew that much about the Greek gods. After that hour I was able to begin the illusion of what happened with the battle, but I had to keep stopping due to my mother's sobbing at the sight whenever I got hit and assuring her, I was fine. It was because of this the illusion of the battles took three hours to show and the illusion of Atlantis took another two hours since there were a lot of requests for me to stop so they could enjoy the beauty of the city. I then had to go through the regular question and answer session with people pelting me with questions faster than I could answer them until Astrid yelled at them all to shut up. Then I got requests to see my latest gifts but I had to disappoint the people since I hadn't had the chance to activate or test out most of them but I did promise to show them all that they could do when I'm done activating them and testing their abilities. I did get a few requests to try the new wine though, but I also turned them down since I didn't know what it would do to a person since Poseidon said that it has an effect on people.
I sighed knowing that when the men of Berk found out what this effect is, they'd be breaking my door down to get a few canteens of the wine to give their wives. Knowing how the women of Berk are though, they'd threaten to blood eagle me if I even let them look at the wine since if there's one thing I know about Viking women, it's that they do not like being taken advantage of. Still though, I intended to use it from time to time to get my wives in the mood since I am still man and I have needs and desires plus it's not easy being surrounded by beautiful women all day and night. For now, though, I needed to get some sleep since there was going to be a lot to do tomorrow with the new items that I still needed to put in place and test to see what they were capable of and with this in mind I allowed myself to drift off into the realm of sleep.
Morning
I made my way downstairs towards the dining room in my regular gear with a smile on my face while Astrid and Blanca were upstairs getting ready. I entered the dining room and smiled at the sight of fresh fruit, juice, bread and meat set out on the table with my kids already sitting down and eating while Hadasa set down some sliced apple slices. She looked up and smiled at me before walking up and saying.
"I take it you had a good evening with your wives." I looked at her wide eyed, but she just giggled. "No offence Hiccup, but you three were pretty loud to the point that I think they could hear you all over the island." She then gave a mischievous smile. "I wouldn't be surprised if you even got complaints from Berk." I groaned and looked down before the realization that the girls used a lot of colorful language struck me and I turned to the kids who were quietly eating but before I could panic, Hadasa leaned in and whispered in Arabic. "Don't worry, I had the feeling the girls would want to have some fun with you in the evening, so I put a little something in the children's bedroom water to help them sleep." I let out a sigh of relief until she said. "I have to admit it reminds me of our own night together back in Arabia." I blushed at this making her giggle. "I'm just teasing." She then stepped away. "Now come on, your breakfast is waiting." I smiled and nodded before I sat down and began eating my breakfast.
3 hours later
It's been three hours since breakfast and I'm sad to say that the majority of that time had been spent apologizing to the people of Berk who lived near the docks since as it turns out, we were louder than we thought and could be heard through the Thunder ears that were set up there. Of course, I also got a lot of cheers and slaps on the back from the men who congratulated me on getting so lucky that evening but there were also a few perverts who asked me for details on the night. Fortunately, they were also married men who were dragged off by their wives, who were not too happy with them for asking for details on what me and my wives did in the evening. Speaking of my wives, I had to apologies to them both for what the wine made them do as I was not aware it would lead to the kind of evening, we had but they were understanding and actually let me know that they'd use it next time they were in the mood. Now I was on my ship, just off the coast of my island with the ox hide bag over my shoulder and my feet on the symbol of Aeolus in the middle of the symbol that looked a lot like a compass as the entire thing glowed a golden light to show it was ready. The reason for this was I wanted to give my new wind bag a try and I wasn't going to use the seal on the Griffins Roost as it might bother the griffins while out here, I wasn't bothering anyone. It was then I pulled the bag off my shoulder and held it open as I said.
"Time to give this thing a try." I held it open and cried out. "WIND, IN THE BAG!" As soon as the final words left my lips, a small tornado formed and quickly flew into the bag, filling it up until it was my father's size before stopping at which point, I quickly pulled the strings around the opening and sealed the bag. "Well, that was intense." It was then the bag shrunk down to palm size and I smiled. "That's going to come in handy when I need to keep a bit of wind with me." I then willed my ship back to the dock as I put the bag of wind away. "Now time to give my submersible ship an upgrade."
Half-an-hour later
I was in the ice nest of my bewilderbeasts, standing on my submersible ship which was now strapped to Tephra's back as she floated in the water, waiting for me to do what I intended to while my automatons that were used with the ship, were firmly placed in their slots. I took the pendant out of my spiderpack and keeled down before placing it against my ship's hull and that's when things got interesting with it shining so bright, I had to shut my eyes or risk being permanently blinded. As I stood there blind though I could hear Tephra let out a roar of surprise before the ground vanished from beneath my feet and I fell down which is when I opened my eyes to see what'd happened. My eyes widened since the ship had completely vanished and I was now standing on Tephra's bare back with no sign of my ship whatsoever. Tephra growled as if asking me what was going on to which I kneeled and rubbed her shell as I said.
"Don't worry girl, I'll figure this out as soon as I can."
I then looked up at her head and noticed shining on top of it and walked up to see what it was and when I got there, I was shocked to see what it was. It looked like a crow that covered the front part of her upper shell with a slim part in the middle going down to form a point while the ends wrapped around the bases of her horns and reached twelve feet down the horns but the metal of the crown was thin as paper. On the piece that was sticking down was the symbol of the tidal class dragons and in the center of the eye was the mark of Hephaestus which is understandable since it was normal for a blacksmith to place their mark on their work. I jumped off Tephra, onto the stone dock to get a better look at it from the front and I had to say it was an impressive piece of work but how it would work as a submersible ship.
It was then the symbol on the crown glowed and I watched in shock as the crown released metal scaled row by row, slowly covering Tephra's back with the ones in the middle creating a large lump. Following these scales, were six giant crab like legs slowly came out from beneath the metal scales and wrapped around Tephra's body, linking beneath her belly before more scales formed out of the sides of these claws. I watched it all as it slowly took form with the scales shifting back and moving around to reveal things beneath it and by the end of it all, I was amazed with the sight before me.
This new ship was huge and covered nearly all of Tephra's back and the parts that weren't making the building upon it was covered by plates with the metal resembling the fish scales, even the tops of her horns were covered until they reached the end where they were completely wrapped in metal. On top of it there was a huge glass dome with a height and width of this Dome that looked to be ten feet long from floor to ceiling and twenty feet wide all around. At the back of this dome was a short tower that was only three stories high with windows that looked to be made of mirrors looking out at the dome.
As for the crab legs that hold the ship onto Tephra's back, they were on either side of the ship, coming out from just beneath the glass dome and blend into the plates that cover the sides. Between the middle legs on the left side was what looked to be large pipes that lead down to a small lump that was stuck on Tephra's stomach that had a mirror like window like the ones on the tower but these ones were smaller with the metal shell taking up the lower half of the part. I stared at the ship in shock before looking to Tephra and asked.
"This thing isn't too heavy for you is it girl?" She growled and shook her head making me smile. "Good to hear girl." I then examined the ship as I asked myself. "Now how do I get into it." As soon as I said this a single leg fell down and lowered towards me forming a bridge that was bent in the middle to turn towards where I was. "Well, that's handy." I made my way up the bridge so I could see what was going on inside this new ship.
I walked into the large room with the giant dome shaped roof and saw that it was completely empty with no sign of anything other than a door at the far back and one across from me. I slowly walked in looking for anything that stuck out until I noticed a nightfury inscribed on the middle of the wooden floor and figured something might happen if I stepped on it since that's how things work from time to time. With this in mind, I stepped onto the symbol and it immediately glowed before an image of Hephaestus formed out of the ground with a smile on its face as it said.
"Hello Hiccup, I know right now you're probably wondering what this place has but I'm not going to tell you since discovering all the new places I've added to this place is, as you would put it, part of the fun." I chuckled knowing that was true. "Because of this, I won't keep you for long and just wanted to let you know that in order to get to the levels, you just have to stand on the pads with what your people call 'Tidal class marking' and shall take you to the other levels but where they are is for you to discover on your own." I smiled. "Now before this message ends, I have one last thing to give you." The floor to my right opened up before a triton slowly rose up to hover next to me. "This triton was designed for battles on the water and beneath the waters but what it can do is something for you to find out yourself so have fun and remember to drop by Greece sometime since I do miss working with you in the forge in my mortal shop." With that said the image faded as I took the triton and examined it.
Description this triton was gold and sapphire blue with jagged points where the end is making it more like a harpoon point over a harpoon point with the center but also with the mix similar to that of a fin of a fish and in the middle of it is a diamond and jagged sides for the two curves on the left and right side of the centerpiece of the triton. It also has a unique individual shape of that of a fish's fin and right between the three points is an ocean-colored diamond going down the pole, right next to the very sharp edge is a scale shape design and below it is all gold with black carved lines going down it making it look like the gold but it's actually leather wrapped around together. At the very bottom of the triton is a sharp pointy blue three prong almost in the shape of a type of fish has fin but without the bones an in-between fin skin. All in all, it was a truly beautiful weapon that I knew would be helpful in battle and I was looking forward to seeing what it could do when actually in the water but for now, I needed to see what this new ship has to offer. With this in mind and the triton in hand, I began my exploration and study of my new submersible ship.
1 hour later
It's been an hour since I began my exploration of the ship and to say I was impressed would be one of the biggest understatements ever made since it was huge and would be helpful when it comes to underwater exploration. To begin with, there's the first room I entered with the glass dome roof which I learnt has three functions since it can be used as a dining room, map room or simply an observation room. I could control what it is by standing on the nightfury insignia on the floor and think of one of the three rooms it can become and it would then turn into it. To begin with, the dining room was simply a single table, set with chairs, plates, cutlery and other such things for a quiet dinner but I figured it depends on how many people are eating that decides on the size of the table.
Then there's the map room which actually needs my mystic map to function since the way it goes is a large table forms in the middle of the room but there's a large slot at the end of it. This slot was made for my map and when it's placed within it, the entire table takes the form of the map and when I press a place on the map, Tephra immediately knows to head over to that place but when she did, it was like we weren't even moving. It's an ability that was definitely going to come in handy in the future since it meant I'd have an easier time showing Tephra where to go and allow me to find new ship wrecks to raid. Finally, there's the room that's used for observation which is just long cushioned benches with backs, lining the walls of the room and a few smaller tables for snacks and possibly games.
Then there's the door on the opposite side of the room and when I opened it, I found a closet sized pipe that had see-through walls and one of the tidal class platforms that Hephaestus told me about. When I stepped onto it, it glowed and begun going down with me on it until I was in front of another door and when I opened it, I was shocked by what I saw since it was a very large room with windows lining the upper half of the walls. Lining the right side of the room though were my loot sharks, jellyfish collectors, snapping crabs and ink collecting octopus, all in their own slots and ready to be let out. On the left side of the room were tanks leading to the outside with pads in front of each of them which leads me to believe the tanks are for fish and undersea plants but what the pads were for I have no idea.
At the back of the room though, there were multiple shelves lining the walls along with a few metal crates meaning a place to store any artifacts or treasures I find. Between these though was a door that led into a medium sized room which had a hole in the middle of the floor that leads out into the ocean so it gave me a way to leave the ship to do my own undersea exploration. Along with this room the windows in the other room would make it easy to watch the shipwrecks that were being looted by my automatons or check out what the sea floor is like. Thinking about this I knew I was definitely going to have to bring in that slime cube I got from Merlin to clean the items before I placed them into storage though since being under the sea does do things to valuable items. All in all, this lower section was definitely going to come in handy in my future shipwreck raids with all it had to offer me with its abilities.
Then there's the other door in the upper section which turned out to be a kitchen that was practically made for the preparation of fish and other sea food. There were tables lining the walls with windows above them and above the windows were racks of knives that were mainly used for preparing various types of fish and edible sea plants. There were also a few chopping boards along the tables, a pot for washing the fish and one for boiling and even a large water tank that led outside, into the ocean but blocked by a net so I could keep live fish for future meals. In the center of the back wall was a fire pit for cooking the fish with pans and skewers so I could cook them easily for future meals for those with me on the ship. All in all, it was a pretty impressive kitchen but it lacked actual ingredients to work with so I'd have to bring them in later today so I'd be prepared for later excursions.
Finally, there was the tower with three levels, four if you counted the roof that had a deck and balcony set up on it so someone could get a better view when on the surface. Anyway, I found the platform to take me up to the different rooms on the far-right wall in the form of an opening in the wall and it was there I learnt that it was like the one leading to the storeroom and would float to take me up to the rooms. When I reach one of the rooms a door slides open in front of me allowing me to leave it and found the first two rooms to be identical guest rooms with two beds on either side of a side table with a side table on their free sides. These beds were covered with ocean blue covers on the first level and sea green on the second levels while the tables were made of the same metal of the ship. Across from the beds, taking up the entire walls were the mirror like glasses which turned out to be windows on this side of the room, giving a great view of the outside. The third floor however was obviously the main bedroom since instead of having two beds, it had one that had a frame made of the same metal as the ship that was shaped like waves with the covers being a shimmering ocean blue that looked as if it were moving. On either side of the bed were side tables with legs that looked like ocean waves that resembled flowing water while the windows were the same. To add to the look, I jumped on the beds to see what it was like and was surprised when it felt like I was actually lying on water instead of a bed and knew I was going to enjoy sleeping on it.
Now I was standing in the waters of my Hawaiian beach's sea waters, up to my waist with nothing on other than my pants and the talisman that held my new armor and the triton in my hand while my Hippocampus swum around me including the newly named 'Hali' who had proven to be good company for Kal. I took a breath and closed my eyes before activating the talisman and felt it heat up in my hands with the heat spreading out around my body until it was completely covered. When I opened my eyes, I looked down at my reflection and was surprised that I was now wearing a new type of armor complete with a helmet and it was truly impressive.
The helmet looked similar to the helmet of a regular Greek Soldier but with the design of carved scales between the metal plates that formed a mask in outline of the helmet and it had horns that were on the back of the helmet and pulled back so they hanging off around the guard that surrounds my neck but what was amazing was how they looked to be made of flowing water. The pants were skin tight brown leather with aquatic greenish scales traveling down a quarter of the way on each side and on each side by the hip and below the hips were two fish like fins that also appear on the shins making it look almost like a fish tail is sticking out and finally it had a green scale belt and green boots to go with it. The upper body armor that covered my torso took the shape of a sleeveless shirt but with the scales and color is similar of a great white shark so if I rub down on the armor it's smooth but if I rub backwards I can feel the sharp scaly points of the scales digging into my hand. For its color the front is gray and the sides were more blueish grey with three gill designs on both sides of the armor and to go with it were two thin armbands that wrap around my wrist and reach close to my elbows in height and also have fins like a sharks dorsal fins sticking out.
With the armor now on I decided it was time to take it out for a test run, to see what it's capable of and began making my way into the water and was surprised when I didn't feel the usual resistance that comes with walking through water. I figured it was part of the armors abilities and continued to make my way into the deeper ends of the water slowly submerging myself within the sea water but no matter how deep I got, I could still walk and breath as if I was on dry land. When I was a good fifteen feet below the surface, I couldn't feel any pressure and could still breath and walk normally I decided to see if I would be able to swim around in this armor that was keeping me anchored to the ground.
I jumped up to try and get some distance but before I could begin kicking my legs to begin swimming, I felt them be pulled together as a warmth enveloped them. When I looked down again my legs had been replaced with a dolphin like tail that also had fish like qualities. It also seemed to have the skin of a shark with the front being gray and the sides being blueish grey at the top but becoming darker going down so it looked like a part of the upper armor. I gave it a few experimental flaps and found it to be strong since it pushed me up five feet with a single flap making me smile since moving around below the waves when raiding shipwrecks would be a whole lot easier. It was then Hali nudged my side making me turn to her as she let out a huff and continued to nudge me and gesturing to the water around us and I'd had enough time with Kal to know she wanted to play. I smiled knowing that this would be both fun and a good way to get some training with the tail so with that in mind, I began swimming around while using the tail which I soon found out was a lot harder to use than I thought but nothing a bit of practice couldn't solve. With this in mind I got to playing and practicing with the hippocampus' using my new tail.
Nightfall
Night had fallen over my island and I had to say, I was grateful since I'd spent the entire day in the ocean playing with my Hippocampus and of course, trying out my new triton. My triton's abilities were no joke when fighting on the water since when I thrust it forward it let out a pressurized ball of water that broke a bolder and when I swung it across the surface, it created a wave that could tip a ship over. To make things more interesting, I have the feeling that I'm barely scratching the surface of its abilities since I haven't tried channeling any of the crystals into it. For now, though I was happy with the abilities that I've discovered and enjoy my peaceful time here in bed with my wives after a delicious dinner that they prepared and slowly drifted into the realm of sleep.

Nobodies POV:
Within the hidden caves the Telchine's chanted continuously around a pool of water that rippled with their chants before the one with the long muzzle said.
"The preparations are done, let us begin." They began chanting again as the table that held the items was pushed forward by the hooded figure before the corrupted branch of the world tree floated off the table and into the pool. "Corrupted branch of the world tree to create the base of new body." The branch extended until it had taken the rough form of a decayed wooden skeleton with no head before the dark rune magic stones floated off the table as the one with the short muzzle said.
"Rune stone shards to strengthen the roots into bones." The various shards spread out among the branches before slowly seeping into the wood that glowed as it turned to stone and became a complete skeleton with no skull before the Telchine with its eyes covered raised his hand, making the crystal core of the fallen champions ship float up while the mustached telchine summoned the dark essence of the apocalypse and the essence of the pharaohs serpent and said.
"Essence of the apocalypse and the essence of the pharaohs serpent." They floated out of their containers and into the corrupted core that let out a pulse of raw power as the Telchine with its eyes covered said.
"Fused together through the core of the fallen champions ship." The core then began to leak the black tar like liquid within it down into the pool that held the skeleton but the second the liquid hit the water, it went straight for the skeleton, slowly wrapping around the bones as if forming a mold until the skeleton was completely covered with a black body shaped shell that was hard as iron as the short muzzled Telchine, summoned the skull into his hand.
"Skull of a mortal man turned demon." He lowered the skull towards the neck joint as the ooze slowly leaked from the mold around the part where the skull was being lowered to and reached out as if to grab the skull before the Telchine released it into the ooze which quickly grabbed the skull and moved it into place, forming a blank faced mold around it before the long muzzled Telchine turned to the hooded figure.
"We will need the item that belonged to your master now." The hooded figure nodded and brought out the chest before opening it to show he had wrapped the item within, in silk cloth.
"I felt it better to preserve the item before it was used to create my master's new body." The Telchine nodded as he took the wrapped-up item and undid the silk binding to reveal an arm that had been dehydrated to the point it could be considered mummified before he placed it on the mold where the left arm would be and watched as it was pulled.
"Arm of the one who shall inhabit this new body." The Telchines then began chanting again as the core of the fallen king of genies floated off the table and over the chest of the body before they all said.
"Magic core of the fallen ruler of all genies." They continued their chanting as it sunk into the mold that seemed to begin to pulse with life before the short muzzled Telchine turned to the hooded figure.
"The body will soon be complete, but it needs the soul of your master." The figure smirked beneath his hood before slamming his feet down and holding out his arms as he looked up and yelled out.
"MY LORD, YOUR SERVANT HAS PREPARED A SHELL FOR YOU TO INHABIT ON THIS REALM SO THAT YOU MAY RETURN FROM THE AFTERLIFE AND CLAIM YOUR RIGHTFUL PLACE AS RULER OF THIS WORLD!"
He then began chanting in an ancient tongue before the sound of ceremonial drums begun beating in the background, echoing through the cave as the ground slowly opened in front of him. The pit seemed to be bottomless with nothing but an abyss into nothing other than darkness until a chorus of unearthly whales echoed from it. Following this a cloud of smoke began to rise up from the bottom but on closer inspection the smoke at the surface had taken the form of people with their arms reaching out as if trying to grab onto something with their forms flowing as if there was a fire within the smoke. When the smoke rose out of the pit, it spun around forming a drill like shape that flew right into the body that writhed, twisted and pulsed as inhuman screams came from the body and echoed through the cave as the black substance tightened on what it was holding. The ooze slowly took on the lighter color of ash grey and took on the form of a skeletal figure right before the black holes that were the eyes glow red as the mouth opened and taking a breath of air as the creature slowly sat up from the pool. It stared blankly ahead and said in a voice that was barely above a whisper and sounded as if he'd been eating nothing but salt for months.
"What going on?" The hooded figure smiled and stepped forward and bowed.
"Master, it was I, your humble servant who brought forth the items for your return so you may once again walk this earth and take your rightful place as the ruler of this world." The figure looked at him.
"Hungry!" The hooded figure gave a dark smirk before turning to the Telchines who realized too late what he was up to.
"I offer you these slaves as your first meal master." The Telchines gasped but before they could react the figure raised its hands towards them and roots shot out of his arms and hands at lightning speed before wrapping around them as the mustached Telchine yelled out.
"YOU'VE BETRAYED US!" The figure just smirked.
"No, you just outlived your usefulness for anything other than nourishment for my master." The Telchines screamed as their bodies slowly dried up and turned to nothing but dust leaving only their robes to fall to the ground.
"I need more if I am to return to full power." The figure bowed.
"And you shall have it master as I shall retrieve the creatures that shall serve as your meals." With that said, the hooded figure left the cave to find new victims for his master to consume.
AN: And this brings an end to another chapter that wasn't too exciting but giving everyone the knowledge of what Hiccups new stuff could do. On the bright side, you all now know what the hooded figure wanted all that stuff for and what's happened to the Telchines but who this guy's master is, you'll have to wait and see. For now though, remember to review kindly and if you have any ideas on where else Hiccup can go in the world and what he could face and I'll see if I could use it, in the future and if you're having trouble picturing the armor and triton, it's on pinterest page. Until next time, review kindly and have a nice day.
