Welcome to Chapter Three! This time around, Ian decides to stay a little longer and Nikki spends more time with her brother. Sorry if it takes a bit for new chapters of Red vs Blue: Reach to get posted, but I need to focus on Origin Story so it can be a good story. I hope you like this story, and thank you for reading my stories!

Ian Becker
Ian spent the last five days doing nothing but research, other than chores, of course. Thanks to this, he was ready to go to Japan a lot sooner than he expected. However, he wanted to stay with his family a little longer. He figured that he'd go on the 20th so he could spend as much time with his family as he could, because he would miss them dearly.
He had already told his parents about his planned departure, and like he said, other than them worrying about Nikki, they were fine with it. Along with the extra family time, he also had enough time to make sure he was prepared. Along with some money to convert to yen, he had his clothes, drawing equipment, pictures of his family, and food packed up and ready to go.
He was leaving his Mega Bloks collection, his pocket knife, which was bound to raise questions at the airport if he brought it with him, his cat, Griffin (he didn't want anything to happen to the ginger cat), and his books at home. He'd miss the reading, but he had to be able to fit his clothes, food, and whatnot into his and Nikki's old backpacks
The Becker children used to attend public school until six years previously, when Ian was attacked and given minor amnesia by a hostile student who he crossed paths with. Ever since then, he, Allan, and Nikki were homeschooled by their parents, up until Allan got old enough to leave. Due to this, Ian didn't have school getting in the way.
Ian woke up like he did on the thirteenth: getting bugged by his cat. After feeding him, he got dressed and left the room.
After doing the chores for the day, Ian was beat, thanks to having been woken up by his cat again. Not wanting to go to bed at 2 in the afternoon, he plumped down on the couch in the game room for a good bit to take a cat nap.
"Yeah, this sucks." he mumbled to himself as he slipped into the void known as sleep. "I wish I had better endurance than this."
A few hours later
The boy awoke to an interesting predicament.
"Am I in your way or am I just special?" Ian asked.
Nikki had decided to lay on him and pass out, her dark brown hair spread all over the place as she slept away. Today, she wore a red backless dress that reached to her knees. Normally, a guy would love to have a girl sleep on them, but Ian was literally being crushed by his twin sister.
"Can you wake up, please? Before you crush me?" he wheezed.
"Five more minutes..." she murmured, repositioning so she could rest her head on her brother's shoulder.
"Hmmm, I wonder how many guys have been killed by a clingy sister." If he died to Nikki's body, then he would be thoroughly embarrased when he went to heaven.
"What...?" Nikki asked drowsily, still half-asleep.
"You-are-killing-me--!" Ian struggled to say, now trying to push her off of his chest.
Nikki somehow registered this and sat up, allowing her brother to breathe.
"Thank you! Ahhhh..."
"Was I suffocating you?" she asked, standing up and pushing her long hair out of her face.
"I think so." Ian sat up.
"Do you want privacy, Ian?" She bent down to ask him.
"No. I'm postponing my trip to the 20th so I can be with you."
"Really?" The girl's eyes widened, and Ian swore that he could see sparkles in them.
"Yep." Ian answered sincerely, mentally noting that he would probably end up starting a few fights to keep guys away from Nikki.
Why the hell is she so cute? he asked himself. Seriously, she's going to be so much trouble when she gets out there.
"Oh my gosh! Thank you for choosing to stay here a little longer!" She hugged him tightly, with Ian's head being forced into her soft bosom.
Oh, hell. I did not want to be hugged like this. Ian freed his mouth from the soft deathtrap that was Nikki's chest, breathing deep breaths.
"Oooh, that tickles!" she giggled when she felt his breath on her stomach.
"Will you please stop hugging me like this?!" he asked, heat flooding his face. "It's a little embarrasing."
"Sorry." She stopped hugging him like she was, sitting down beside him. "How did they feel?"
"Not answering that."
"Why, scared to admit that you're a pervert?"
"Nope. You're the pervert, Nikki."
"You sure about that, chest lover?"
"Dear diary, my twin sister likes to pull my head into her disturbingly soft chest, ask me how it feels, and then accuse me of being a pervert."
Nikki laughed nervously, the blush on her face evident as she heard him say that. It was the truth, though.
"Ha! I thought you weren't answering that!" she yelled, pumping a fist into the air in triumph. "Dear diary, my brother openly said that he likes my body and I bet I know why."
"Did not! I just said that your bosom is incredibly soft!" Ian shouted indignantly, blushing.
She laughed again, relishing her brother's reactions.
"Well, I said you liked it because of a certain redhead you know." She smirked.
"You're kidding me." Ian shot back. "You really think I like girls' bodies. I'm not a ladies' man, you know."
"Well, you really seemed into Sophia's chest that day..." Nikki purred. "You even called it 'soft' and 'squishy.'"
"I was concussed, Nikki. You know that." he sighed. "Falling off of a tree does that to you."
"Sure thing, Ian." She rested her head on Ian's head, then her demeanor went from teasing to sad. "You know, when you go to Japan, if you really aren't in love with Sophia, then could you try to find someone for you to be with for me?"
"Why are you asking me this all of a sudden?" Ian asked, confused at the topic change. "First you're teasing me about liking girls' bodies, then you get all broody and ask me to try to find a girlfriend."
"I just want you to have a special someone, you know?" Nikki exhaled, and after a while, she continued. "I care about you, and I don't want you to be alone for your whole life."
"Alone? I've got you, Allan, and Sophia."
"You know what I mean."
Ian stopped. He knew what she meant: she wanted him to fall in love and start a family.
"Wouldn't you want to have a boyfriend, Nikki?" Ian asked, still somewhat confused. "Or do you do think that Mom and Dad wouldn't let you date anyone."
"I don't think they would." Nikki stifled a sob as a tear traced her cheek and dropped onto Ian's shoulder. "You know how they are. I'm surprised that they even trust Sophia's family."
"Well, the Autumns had a hard time getting our parents to trust them." Ian told her, stroking her hair. "Just-- when we're 18, life should be easier on us. We could actually follow our own paths."
"You're right, Ian." Nikki smiled, scooting closer to her brother. "I'm just impatient, that's all."
"Yeah. You are." The boy smiled, wrapping an arm around his sister's shoulder.
Ian always knew that his twin looked good, but he never knew just how beautiful she really was. The way that her wavy hair cascaded around her shoulders, how her brown eyes looked golden in certain lighting, how her face was so soft-looking and filled with emotion, and how her soft voice seemed to lift everyone's spirits intrigued him so much. The only other person he knew that had the same elegance was Sophia, hence Nikki's comments about her body reminding Ian of Sophia.
He knew that he looked good too, but he doubted that he matched Nikki in any way possible, appearance-wise. They were both sarcastic to a degree, they both loved gaming, and they both had social awkwardness, but Ian was a better gamer, fisher (but not by much), and a good author, having successfully written a few good stories. Nikki was too full of energy to settle down and write stories.
After a few hours, the twins stopped cuddling and stood up.
"Hey, Nikki?"
"What is it?"
"You want to play some 1v1s or something?"
"I thought you'd never ask."
Ian grabbed the brunette's hand and pulled her along with him as he ran along the hall, causing her to yell in delight. Ian was going to spend as much time as he could with her, and for those last three days he would be stateside, they were going to live life to their fullest.
The next day
Ian woke up at 9:30 in the morning with his face in a very interesting area. It took no time to identify it: Nikki had snuck into his room and pulled his face into her chest again, making sure his mouth and nose was unobstructed before falling asleep. She wore an oversized T-shirt that reached halfway to her knees and a pair of boxers.
You're kidding me, right? he thought.
Ian tapped and pulled on his sister's cheek in an attempt to wake her up, but she just continued to sleep.
"Can you please get up, Nikki?" Ian asked, totally embarrased. "I'm not a fan of having my face stuck in your chest when I wake up, so if you could get up, please?"
Nikki groaned and opened her eyes. A smile played upon seeing her brother, who was blushing madly and trying to escape her grasp. She giggled as she let her brother escape and try to clear his head of the mental images that formed in it.
"Heehee. You're really cute, you know that?" she said, leaning backwards on his bed.
"At least Griffin didn't wake me up today." Ian sat up, stretching before he got out of bed.
Yeah... I'm going to feel really bad for any guy she dates. he thought as he changed into a grey polo shirt and khaki shorts.
"Going somewhere?" Nikki asked, pulling out her own clothes to change into.
"Not yet, although Dad's taking us to Georgia where Allan is so he can pick me up."
"Oh, yeah! I've got something to wear, but it's a surprise!"
"Sure thing. I'll just look away until you're done."
"That's fine."
While they changed, they heard footsteps coming from behind the door and their mother shouting, "Time to get up!"
"Uh-oh." Nikki said. "She might think something happened."
"I'll handle it." Ian told her calmly.
"Okay."
As soon as they finished changing clothes, they heard the door open and saw their mother, a woman who had long brown hair she wore in a braid and light brown eyes, along with a soft face. She had a look of surprise on her face when she saw Nikki, but she managed to stay calm when she asked Ian what Nikki was doing there.
"She wants to spend as much time with me as she can before I leave." Ian replied calmly. "So she snuck into my room and slipped into my bed with me while I was asleep."
"That makes sense. I'd do the same thing if I was her." their mother said. "Anyway, we're going to leave soon, so you two, get your things, and let's go."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Ian don't worry about your supplies for when you go abroad. Your father and I packed that up already."
"Thank you, Mom." Ian said, standing up and giving her a hug.
"You're welcome. Please try to come back."
"You know I will."
"How do I look?"
Ian and his mother turned around and gasped. Nikki had selected a long white summer dress that reached halfway to her ankles with a pair of flats to wear, and she had put her hair up in a loose bun. Even though the look was simple, she still looked absolutely gorgeous. Ian made a mental note to keep an eye on her for the forseeable future.
"Absolutely gorgeous." Ian and his mother answered simultaneously.
"Do I really look that good?" Nikki asked herself.
"Yep." Ian said.
"Alright, kids, we've got to hustle." Their mother left the room, leaving the Becker kids alone.
"Well then." Ian said. "Let's get a move on."
The kids ate a quick breakfast, and then they joined their parents at the front yard, where their car, a nice tan minivan was parked at.
"Hey, kiddos!" their father, a heavyset bald man with green eyes called out. "Took you long enough!"
"We had to eat." Ian called out.
"Yeah!" Nikki backed him up, holding the hem of her dress up to protect it from the ground, scowling a little. She preferred boys' clothes, but for this occasion, she'd tolerate a dress.
"That's fine, but we're on a clock!" their mother said.
The twins got into the minivan, buckling their seatbelts and settling in.
"Well, since this is the last day you're here, let's just make it count." Nikki said, sighing as she pulled her dress up a little.
"Yeah." Ian agreed, looking at his sister. "You should wear that on your first date."
"You think so?" she asked. "But isn't it a litttle revealing?"
"Not really. It's just that way for you since you wear guy's clothes most of the time." Ian answered.
Nikki didn't answer as their parents entered the minivan, buckling their seatbelts and shutting the car doors.
"It's 9:42, so we'll have time to spare, but it'll be a long trip." their father said after checking the time. "Do you have to use the bathroom or anything, kids?"
"No. We used it." Ian and Nikki answered simultaneously.
"Alright." Their father started the engine, smiling as the vehicle rumbled like a content cat. "Ian, remember that this is your one chance to back out before you leave, so think about what you'll do before tomorrow."
Ian thought about what he'd do, stay or go. After a little while, he made up his mind.
"Me and Nikki talked about this. I'm going."
"Understood." They rolled out into the driveway and after shifting the gear to "drive," they drove out of the neighborhood and began their trip.
I sure hope that I made the right choice. Ian thought. Although, if I go, what's the worst that could happen? I get trapped in a video game?
That's Chapter Three for ya. Thanks to life being a massive jerk, I'm probably going to take longer to post new chapters than before. Also, I wanted to introduce some running gags and recurring things like #Streahugs and the "you're kidding me" line. Next chapter, the Beckers meet up and have some time together before Ian departs. Ian Becker is not a self-insert and he only shares my profile's name. This is Be an 1an, signing off.
