The Land of Endless White

This was it. The end

"Goodbye Emma" the words echoed around her as the blonde savior seemed to blink out of existence as she returned back to the land of the living where she belonged, back to the land of the living where she and rest of her loved ones would have to find a way of letting her go.

This wasn't how she wanted to part ways with her love. She supposed there is no right way to be taken away from the person you loved, because either way, you'll both be hurt, whether it was her or Regina to go first. One would be left without the other for the rest of their life and the other would have to wait, hoping they wouldn't be too soon.

Back in the Land Endless White she felt the warmth of the light around her fight off the cold she felt in the real world. She wasn't scared, she wasn't confused. She finally felt the feeling of peace settle within her heart as she closed her eyes and breathed in the air around her. She could rest now.

Opening her eye's she was reminded of the figure with his back to her. Stepping forward she felt the corner of her lips quirked up as she stopped a few feet away from her friend.

"Killian" she gently called out to her friend. He turned around having heard her, to see her with a gentle smile tugging on his lips.

"Montague" he greeted her turning the top half of his body around to see her "Miss me?" he teased to the redhead giving her a wink as she joined him looking into the endless land surrounding them "What are you doing here?" the man asked her.

"I thought you could use some company" she tells the pirate "Us villain's need to stick together after all" she added with a corner of her lips quirking up in a half smile.

A breathy laugh left the pirate's nose as he looked back into the distance with his friend by his side as their pair went back into silence "She did it Killian" she told him "Emma beat the darkness".

"Aye. I know" he gulped as his jaw clenched "But at what cost?".

"Us" she tells her friend "Just us".

With a nod the pirate went back to gazing into the endless horizon of the world around them "So,I take you've been here before. What happens now?".

"No idea" she confirms "Never been here long enough to find out what happens next" she gulped out in fear.

"Are you scared?".

"Terrified" she answered honestly to the pirate. The same answer she gave when she was waiting for Regina to make her appearance from the bottom of the staircase in Camelot.

"Then what ever happens, we'll do it together" Hook raised his hand to her offering it to her. A smile crept up on the Assassin's lips as she took his hand, lacing their finger's they brought their hands downs so that they were in between them.

"Together" she repeated to her friend as they felt tremors under their feet making the pair look down in unison as the tremor became stronger until their hands separated as they tried to keep themselves steady on the grounds. A rumble of thunder she had heard earlier grow into the storm she could see now coming towards them.

"Killian" panic voiced Amelia's alerted Hook to look where she was looked to see the white floor falling away from them in the distance quickly coming towards them as she grabbed a fist full of the man's leather jacket "Run".

The pair turned and started to run away from the hexagon shaped floor tiles fall into an endless abyss below them. Their feet pounded on the floor as they found the floor they were running upon started to fall away as well making them stumble as she managed to stretch ahead of the pirate.

Hearing an 'omph' behind her, she came o sudden stop to turn back to see Hook on the ground, having tripped over in the hurry to get away for whatever was coming for them. Sprinting back the thunder and lighting were even louder than before as it was catching up to them. Grabbed him by the back of his leather jacket to pull him back onto his feet to continue their hastily retreat from the dark clouds roll towards them.

Pushing her off him, they tried again to run. She tried to slow down for the pirate but her legs were working too well as Hook once again fell back from the Assassin until she heard her name being called out.

Coming to a skidding stop she turns back to see Hook standing on spot seeing the hexagon tiles had fallen around him trapping him on a platform by himself as the dark clouds that lit up as lighting webbed through them came ever so closer than before.

Inching herself to the edge, she peeked over the edge to see an endless fall into a fiery inferno that was awaiting them if the cloud didn't. Looking back to her friend the thunder rolled so loud she thought she was back on the Jackdaw during that stormy night, deafening their ears as she saw Hook trying to tell her something over the gap.

"Go!" he tried to yelled over the thunder waving his arm out widely towards her as voice was muffled out by the thunder behind him she could only read his lips to see what he was trying to say, urging her to go on without him. But there was no where to do to this place just continued on for miles.

She was done running. She was done with running when her old life caught up to her, and she wasn't going to start now.

"No!" she yelled back taking a confident step forward into the gap, panic set into the pirate's chest as he saw her step onto nothing only for a piece of floor to meet her foot as she walked towards him until she ended up on the same platform as him "Like you said... Together" she repeated their earlier words as she reaches up and pulled his forehead onto her as their eye's closed as they waiting for the inevitable as the think clouds engulfed the pair taking them to where they belonged, leaving leaving an empty Land of Endless White ready and waiting for the next soul to walk it is limitless floors.
