[ ~ Chapter • Start ~ ]

An hour after Kentarou was unconscious, Ainz had done his part by a few more experiments done through curiosity alone.

Thanks to [Perfect Warrior] , a spell that allowed him to gain the skills of a heavily skilled warrior in exchange for not being able to use most of his spells for until he decided to lift it, Ainz was able to swing his own swords just fine.

"So this is the feeling of swinging heavy swords." He commented on the weight of the black swords he created himself, though curiously, he wanted to at least try fighting using them unless necessary.

Strangely enough, he can still eat anything, it didn't matter if the food looked like it would pass down his stomach, he would still be able to consume it and feel that it was turned into his own mana which had been lost recently as the food became mana particles that briefly cover his body.

"Interesting..." Ainz muttered under his mouth, if he had any.

The realism of the world was incredible, have the devs finally decided that he would be one of the people loyal to their game to test the supposed sequel of "YGGDRASIL" ?

No, that cannot be right, they're just a bunch of greedy bastards willingly or blindly following the strict command from the worser higher-ups, therefore that theory cannot be true.

Still, he wanted to find out if his allies are here in this strange place, so he just thought of using the [Message] spell in the hopes that the guild members of the guild he led are still online.

"[Message: Touch Me]... [Message: Peroroncino]... [Message: Ulbert Ala Noodle]... oh crap, sorry about that, Ulbert. I'll try again... [Message: Bukubukuchagama]..."

It went on for a long while, until Ainz gave up, lowering his head in sadness. Although, when it became too much to bear, a gentle light engulfed him, regulating his emotions through his skill called [Emotion Suppression] .

"..."

Now that he suddenly calmed down, he nodded to himself and silently let himself sit down on the log placed near a campfire made using the [Camping Set], a middle class item that creates a temporary camp that lasts for 12 hours.

It accelerated the regeneration effects of those who rested here by 5 percent, and prevented monsters that are around Tier 3 and below from coming close in a 160 meter radius or even spawning inside the area.

For noobs, it was pretty useful in certain situations, but to higher levelled veteran players? There's a high chance that they would just toss it away.

But now, sensing that Kentarou was about to wake up, Ainz silently commanded his golden staff to hide itself from plain sight.

Once the teenager woke up, he saw a heavily tall armored man sitting in front of him, his mind feeling incredibly numb.

"Ouch... never expected that a powerful servant of Dracula would appear to try to murder me right away..." Kentarou spoke, scratching his head in mild disappointment, relieved that the armored man saved him in his supposed "memory".

"I see that you're awake now. Obviously, we didn't have the time to introduce ourselves, so I'll just say this once. My name is Momon, an knight of the west. Who we have encountered hours ago was my eternal enemy, Monochi." Ainz spoke his words out, looking at the boy he had just met. Most of his words were entirely made up, but that is essentially believable enough.

Being summarized of what had just happened, Kentarou thanked him, yet only raised his hand and declined his thanks, saying he didn't need it.

Sooner enough, after stretching his body for a moment, Kentarou stood up, not knowing where to go.

"Um, Momon! This might be a strange thing to ask, but I'd be very happy if you come help me rescue my childhood friend, Miki! I think you would also defeat Monochi there, too!" Kentarou requested thoughtfully, determined to do what was needed.

Due to the armored man silently nodding, Kentarou's hopes were lifted up.

"Without any weapons? How are you supposed to defend yourself?" Ainz replied, though unsurprised at this determination shown by the boy.

Realizing that, Kentarou looked down, embarrassed at having no weapons.

"But, I still have a sword that might be of any use for you. It's honestly unusable for me so I'll let you have it."

Once he said that, Ainz presented Kentarou with a rather plain looking katana taken out from his inventory in a sneaky manner behind his cape, which motivated the boy enough to take it.

Technically, he really couldn't use the weapon anyways, but something little like that is still replaceable enough, even if Ainz felt quite saddened that he just gave away something he owned to a stranger like Kentarou.

Kentarou had decided to take some apples on a tree nearby, in hopes of them being his and Momon's snacks while they took on a possibly long journey to find Miki.

Aside from that, they found someone laying on the ground, almost dying from blood loss.

"A JAPANese boy, and a Helmanian man? This... kuff... looks strange... must've been hallucinating while I'm dying." The man spoke the moment his eyes landed on both Ainz and Kentarou, completely surprised at the sight before him.

The disguised overlord was even presented with something completely different from what he had known back then.

Kentarou, however, asked the man certain questions, mostly about Miki.

They both then found out that this man had fought against a two-faced person named Gai while trying to save the same girl. But he was too strong.

He also weakly explained that the sword he has is one of the two weapons that can temporarily destroy the [Field of Invincibility] that an [Archfiend] or a [Fiend] had, also named Nikkou.

The dying man was also baffled that they looked completely lost, saying they were somewhere far north of Leazas and nearby Archfiend Gai's fortress.

Hearing this, Ainz was completely hooked by the information, and volunteered to take the sword.

"I... don't know who from... the both of you will be... chosen, though the sword chooses it's own owners and is... sentient. Go on, save her before it's... too late." The dying man spoke his last words, before closing his eyes and dying.

"... Although I want the sword, it seems like I'll be taking an endgame equipment later... oh man..." Kentarou muttered barely silently afterwards, before he let Ainz look for the sword.

Once he found it, it suddenly shocked him. Or at least it tried to since he felt like it was tickling him.

"Huh... that tickles..."

Ainz was curiously inspecting the weapon using a simply 5th tier spell as he began to try to find out what Nikkou's stats are. After all, to Ainz, something that can possibly remove invincibility is something incredibly valuable, right?

He looked at the stats and descriptions of the weapon, and looked almost surprised.

'... Holy Katana Nikkou: Divine class. Can remove invincibility for 15 seconds max, can become stronger when the wielder becomes stronger too, can also be wielded by anyone regardless of class, and is still unbound... also it does have a very long lore in it which does make it look even more interesting...'

Ainz blinked inwardly, nodding his head subconsciously as he kept reading the lore the sword had.

The sword, Nikkou was originally a woman that lived in the most terrible era of this world before the Archfiend Gai had replaced her.

Nikkou was one of the Legendary Five, with the man named British being their leader, and there were even Cafe Artful, Ho-Raga and even Chaos, eho Ainz hoped he would also meet just to collect a "set" for himself to wield if possible.

"Momon! We should be going now, it's possible that Miki is still imprisoned in Dracula's castle!" Kentarou's voice had then brought him out of his focus on reading the bountiful lore presented in front of him.

"Umu. Let's go." Ainz replied with some nonchalance, holding on the odachi as he secretly used [Greater Create Item] to create a scabbard for it.
