Chapter Seventeen
One Hour later…
Hospital…
Everyone had practically barreled into the building, as they had no idea as to what condition Don could be in, especially since he was in a car crash shortly after being knocked out and they were all really worried.
Gary was in the waiting room, as he was the first on the scene as there were reports of a car going crazy on one of the highways and, given the reports of Don's abduction, he had some idea that the two could be related.
"Don… how is he?" Charlie quickly asked in between deep breaths
"Last I heard, which was ten minutes ago, he is still unconscious, so you are going to wait until the doctor gets here to give you more information." Walker said warily, knowing that it was not enough for them, especially for himself.
"Let me go to the reception and try my luck there." Alan said, with a determined look that reminded Walker of Agent Eppes, knowing that's where the younger man got that look from.
'I need to talk to Eppes about this sometime, after he wakes up.' he thought, hoping the agent doesn't have any lasting effects from his ordeal, he liked the guy too much to have to deal with someone else.
He shared a smile with Charlie, who was also thinking the same thing, and it had always both amazed and amused him to even think about it.
After another five minutes of Alan negotiating, and possibly bribery, they were finally able to get a doctor come and talk with them. It wasn't as serious as they thought, but he still had a broken arm and a couple broken ribs, so he wouldn't be able to be a part of the investigation but they were just relieved that he was going to be okay.
They just needed to make sure that he followed doctor's orders.
