Spencer knew what they were going to do the moment that they woke up. Waking her up with a shower of kisses, he smiled into her groggy eyes.
"Rise and shine princess," Spencer happily grinned. "We have a busy day."
"What are we doing?" Trina sat up and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes.
"First we're going to Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse. We can't go inside, but we can view from a platform and they say that the sunrises there are spectacular!"
"Now? It's not even sunrise yet?"
"Now. Come on. We'll shower together and then get dressed," Spencer kissed her one more time and then slipped out of bed.
Trina stared at his naked body in stunned silence. God, he was indeed a beautiful man and he was hers.
"Trina, we have to hurry!" He chuckled, disappearing into the bathroom.
"I'm coming!" Trina leaped out of bed and followed him.
He already had the shower turned on and the steam was nearly filling the room. He smirked as she stared at him with wide brown eyes. "Do you like what you see, princess?"
"Why are you calling me that?" Trina asked, noticing the teasing tone of his voice.
He stepped into the shower and took her hand, pulling her inside and up against his now-wet body. "Because you're my princess."
He grabbed two sponges and handed one to Trina.
"Ok…"
"We can either wash each other...or wash ourselves. Your choice."
Trina couldn't stop herself. She squirted soap onto her sponge and began to rub it all over Spencer's chest, watching the soap turn into a lather. She really just wanted an excuse to have her hands all over his body.
"Ok, I get the message," he chuckled, doing the same with her. Once they were through lathering each other off, they let the water wash the soap off before wrapping their arms around each other and partaking in a deep kiss that turned more and more passionate.
Trina moaned as Spencer leaned her against the shower wall and then hooked one of her slender and shapely legs over his hips then gently entered her. She closed her eyes as his lips left hers and his mouth sucked and kissed his way down her throat as he moved inside her until they both came gasping and moaning, their bodies quivering from the erotic pleasure of their actions. On quivering legs, they stepped out of the shower, holding on to one another.
"Wow…," Trina gasped.
"I always wanted to do it in the shower," Spencer smirked, kissing the top of her head.
"That was your first time doing that?" Trina couldn't help but sound shocked.
"Well, Esme wasn't very adventurous," Spencer simply shrugged.
Trina couldn't help but smirk and pull Spencer even closer. "Her loss is my gain, obviously...what other new things do you have in store for me, Mr. Cassadine?"
"Oh, I have all kinds of plans for you, Princess. You're just gonna have to wait and see. But for now, we have to get dressed if we're going to see that sunrise at Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse."
"Right," Trina sighed, tempted to tell Spencer to forget it. That she rather stay in bed and explore him some more. But this trip was about seeing things that she had never seen before as well as growing closer with her boyfriend. So she quickly toweled herself off, got dressed in simple jeans and a black t-shirt, fixed her hair into a ponytail, topped off with a black baseball cap, and sunglasses, and grabbed her sketchbook because she was going to want to sketch that lighthouse, she just knew it.
"Ready to go?" Spencer asked, now dressed in a blue muscle shirt and black jeans, wearing sunglasses of his own.
"More than ready. Let's go see that lighthouse."
…..
Trina took out her phone and took picture after picture of the lighthouse with the sun coming up on the horizon. It was gorgeous and she was planning to share the pictures with Joss and Cam as well as Curtis and Taggert. She was still upset with her mother, so there were going to be no pictures for her. Once the pictures were taken, she took out her sketchbook and began the first lines of the drawing she wanted to make.
Spencer stood behind her with his arms around her waist, watching her work her magic on a blank sheet of paper. Again, he was in awe of her talent.
"Baby, you are so amazing. We're going to have to buy a gallery just for your drawings alone," Spencer kissed the side of her neck.
"Don't be silly. Even though, it would make a nice show at Ava's gallery. Maybe I can talk her into it…"
"Summer in New England, by Trina Campbell Robinson. How does that sound?"
"Like a dream...but I doubt it'll happen."
"I think it will. One way or another. Even if I have to buy a building and do it myself, I'm going to make it happen for you, Trina."
Trina turned her head to look at him, her eyes shining with warmth and love. "You don't have to do any of that, Spencer. This trip you're taking us on...it's enough. This time we have together, just you and me...this means more to me than all of the gallery shows in all the world."
Spencer smiled, his heart swelling with love as he saw the clear sincerity of her words in her eyes. She truly treasured this trip, these moments of them just being together. No outside responsibilities, no disapproving mother, no crazy ex. It was just him and her, just like Greenland...without the crazy Uncle.
"It means a lot to me, too baby. More than you'll ever know," He claimed her lips again in one short yet lingering kiss, before pulling away. "We're missing the sunrise."
Trina simply smiled before turning back to the picturesque scene to take another picture with her phone.
…..
"Are you hungry? We haven't eaten breakfast yet. I know that I can use some coffee," Spencer gripped Trina's hand in his as they made their way back to the car.
"We should look for a Denny's or an IHOP. I don't want to spend a fortune for breakfast," Trina sighed, wincing when she heard her own stomach growl. "And can we find it now?"
Spencer just laughed and kissed her hand. "So no egg florentine or frittata for you, huh?"
"What in the hell is a frittata?"
"It's an Italian dish that's kind of like an omelet...but instead of the ingredients being filling, they're mixed in with the egg," Spencer explained, his stomach rumbling at the sound of it.
"Sounds like something I make all the time, but I never had a name for it," Trina giggled.
"They're delicious!"
"Come along, Prince Cassadine. Let's find somewhere to get some food before continuing on with our day."
Driving through the small town, Trina found herself delighted. Little shops and restaurants that lined the street were begging for her attention.
"Spencer...what about there? Gott's store...look at the lobster-shaped chairs! They're so cute!"
"It looks like a convenience store."
"We should still check it out. Come on! This is obviously something local. Something we can only experience here!"
Spencer chuckled. "Alright, alright! We'll go check it out. What the princess wants, the princess gets."
Trina couldn't help herself. She threw her arms around his neck and planted a big kiss on his cheek. "Thank you. I'm loving this trip. I really am."
Spencer's smile was big and happy. This was what he had wanted to accomplish on this trip. Trina happy and giddy and looking forward to the next adventure. Relaxed and satisfied and with him. Just him. No outside interruptions at all.
