Bonnie was walking out of Zaci's mom's salon after getting some braids to get something to eat. Honestly, she had been hungry for a while now, but didn't want to interrupt getting her hair done.
"Stop, Stop" A girl bumps right into Bonnie, before Bonnie could catch her breath a vampire bumps into her and grabs the girl, without even blinking she gave the vamp an aneurysm, which causes him to let go of the girl and charge towards Bonnie and in turn she started to melt his insides.
The vamp sped off before she could do any damage, so Bonnie turned to the girl, "Are you okay?" she asked the young girl and the girl nodded. "Do you know why he was after you?" Bonnie asked, the girl shook her head. Bonnie noticed that the girl was crying.
It must have been hard to be a witch and not do anything. She pulled the girl closer to her, "let us go over to the café, and sit" Bonnie told her girl and held her hand and pulled her towards the café.
As they settled down in the café, ordered drinks and the girl seemed calmer, "What's your name?" Bonnie asked.
"Amaka," the girl spoke softly
"Did your mom teach you how to do an aneurysm?" Bonnie asked
"My mom isn't around any more, but she didn't know how to fight," Amaka said
"Oh, your mom wasn't a witch?" Bonnie asked, Amaka's shoulders went straight, and her eyes opened wide.
"Witch? I don't know anything about that." The girl went to stand up and leave, but Bonnie touched her elbow. Amaka stopped, facing away from her.
"Look at me," Bonnie said gently, She held out her hand and motioned the girl to hold it. They held hands and instantly their magic seek each other out, Her magic felt like Bonnie's except a bit more unchecked and weak.
"You can feel it, that we are the same," Bonnie said looking at Amaka, they sat back down, Bonnie continued to hold her hands to reassure Amaka that she was not going to harm her. For some reason, Bonnie felt like she should protect the girl, and the waiter came out with Bonnie's Pepsi and Amaka's tea.
"Are you not part of a coven here?" Bonnie asked,
"Covens?" Amaka said. Does she not know anything about witches?
"Do you know what just attack you," Bonnie asked
"No, I just felt a chill down my spine," Amaka said.
" Did you just get your powers?" Bonnie asked, the girl nodded
"Yeah, it started a few months ago, I thought I was crazy, things would float, or catch fire." Amaka said "I was scared, I was going to hurt my sister, I can control it a bit, but sometimes it gets bad." she continued.
Bonnie listened to the girl's story, the girl was responsible for her and her sister since her mom wasn't around, Bonnie promised her that she would help her with her powers.
"If you give me jewellery of yours, I can enchant it to lock your magic," Bonnie said,
"you can do that," Amaka asked and Bonnie nodded "mhm,"
After that, they ate and Amaka left to go to work.
Creating a coven might be easy, Bonnie thought as she headed towards the market.
It was afternoon and the heat was killing Bonnie, she had gone shopping for some clothes and was about to go to a café when she heard someone calling her out, she looked around and spotted Hayley and a tall blonde woman heading towards her.
"Hey Bonnie, you still here?" Hayley asked raising her eyebrows, Bonnie nodded,
"Was it you who sent Klaus after me?" Bonnie asked, she raised up her arms and started to protest "No I told him you were here for a while and-" Bonnie started to laugh,
"I know it was Elijah don't worry," Bonnie said rolling her eyes, The witch next to Hayley cleared her throat. Bonnie turned to her, feeling her magic out, she knew it was old, it kind of reminded her of Esther's but more powerful.
"Oh yeah, this Freya, Hope's aunt," Hayley said. It explained how Hope was a witch even though Hayley was originally a wolf.
"Nice to meet you, Hope is a sweet girl," Bonnie said stretching out her hand to Freya, Freya took her hand and "So what are you guys up?" she asked.
"Well, we were getting some drinks and waiting for someone to come, so Freya can do a spell," Hayley said, They started to walk into the café and took a seat.
"So, what kind of spell are you guys doing?" Bonnie asked them
"We are doing a locator spell for some missing wolves," Hayley said, Bonnie sat up straight,
"wolves," Bonnie whispered to herself, wasn't Klaus surrounded by dead wolves in her vision.
"Do you know something Bonnie," Freya said touching her wrists to bring Bonnie out replaying the vision, Bonnie looked up into her eyes, should she tell them about the vision, she wasn't sure if she even tells Klaus, he's so paranoid he might kill her thinking it was a trap. When she was about to deny Freya's statement.
"Bonnie, if you know something it would be a great help," Hayley said Bonnie picked up her drink to sip it, to hide her hesitation. "I know we are not friends, but I'm responsible for the wolves in this area." She was right, they weren't friends tho they went out once and texted every other day, Hayley thought she holds a grudge for Caroline and Tyler, but that really wasn't her business and Caroline and him would have broken up again anyway, plus she was carrying Alaric twins and really didn't care about anything else.
Bonnie breathed deeply before speaking, "look, sometimes I have visions especially since I came back," Bonnie said
"came back?" Freya asked, "She was dead for the third? Time, I don't know," Hayley said to Freya and turned back to her, "So you had one with wolves?"
"Yeah, they were turned and had markings on them, but they were dead though, so maybe it's not the same wolves," Bonnie said, "at least not completely." Bonnie sipped her drink.
"Is there more?" Freya asks, Bonnie rolls her eyes at her, she so damn stubborn can she let it go now. She sighs and put down her glass, looking around to see when the waiter would bring her food to eat.
"Look, I know you don't know me, but I could help you with these visions," Freya said
" I would love to, but my visions are about the original family and witches don't like them much soooo," Bonnie says, Hayley laughs
"Well actually, no witch would love the originals more than her "Hayley said, Bonnie raises her eyebrows at Hayley and looks at the witch, which brother is she with?
" Wait it's not like that, I'm their long-lost sister, I was under a spell,kind of like sleeping beauty?" Freya said with a dark chuckle
"They have another sister?" Bonnie says then Bonnie freezes "but wait if she's Hope aunt, and you are the mother?" Bonnie says, looking at Hayley and Freya complexed
"Did Rebecca adopt hope or something?" Bonnie said, remembering that Rebecca wanted to be a human. Was that why, so she can have kids?
"No, Klaus is Hope biological father," Hayley said with an exasperated sigh
" Damn, the pregnancy must have been hell," Bonnie said without thinking. Hayley laughs and looks as to say if you only knew!
So Klaus can have kids, was hope a one chance or?
" Anyway regardless, I would like to tell them about my visions in a more private setting and one where I know I won't die," Bonnie says
"How do I know, you won't use these visions to destroy my family," Freya asked Bonnie stretches to hold Freya hands, Immediately she's her talking to a dark skin woman in scrubs smiling down at her. Bonnie smiles at Freya.
"You can kill me here and now, but I should tell you I have a habit of coming back alive," Bonnie smiles. Just then, waiters come with Bonnie's croissants.
"Look I don't think it needs to go that far, Freya I know you don't know Bonnie like that and neither do I, but I know one thing she's like a wolf loyal to her pack," Hayley says looking at Freya.
"And anything she does, she was either provoked or defending her friends simple as that," Hayley continued Freya looked at her and her features softened
"Look, I didn't have any witch friends until I started travelling, and I'm sure it's isolating to be a Mikealson witch, so let's see if we can friend." Bonnie says smiling
"Let me guess you want something," Freya said.
"Now that you mentioned it there's this little girl" Bonnie starts telling Freya about Dene daughter, she has tried doing her research on how she could help her but her grimoire and experience were kind of limited and Freya is an old witch she must know something.
She would have asked Klaus, maybe when he called her again, but it wouldn't feel right.
"I think I have heard of something similar to this before, but it would be difficult to complete the spell," Freya said, her forehead was wrinkled.
"Good, you can get my number from Hayley, I would love to stay, but I kind of have a date out to a jazz place tonight." Bonnie said
"A date huh, you already met someone here," Hayley said, wiggling her eyebrows. Bonnie tried to contain her smile and stop herself from touching her cheeks.
She nodded and told Hayley and Freya bye before rushing out the café before Hayley could ask if she knew them.
To be honest, she and Klaus having been either talking on the phone or going out somewhere every other day, and she was still waiting for him to make some move.
If he took this long, it's a wonder how he was able to seduce a witch before they caught some common sense and left before they became a devout for him. She would like to think she is not one of those witches one bit, but was she being as foolish as them to let him think he's manipulating her?
She did have her own plans for her future and Klaus didn't seem to fit in it unless, they formed some kind of agreement where she wasn't his witch.
Bonnie let a sigh, is this any difference from being in Mystic Falls. No, we will set our boundaries right this time! I am creating my happiness.
