Mike vs. Jacques
Summary: This is the opening contest as Mike Smith will take on Jacques Grenier! Also, we will take a look backstage look into Ali's reaction following Eric Bischoff's return to TDW.
The backstage segment was co-written by me and ShokuAli16 while the match was co-written by me and Hellflores.

The crowd was still in shock about Eric Bischoff's return.
"Welcome back to TDW and just a few moments ago, Heather and Josee interrupted "Rowdy" Ali Moonbeam who was about to introduce Tito Santana but they introduced a surprise guest of their own in Eric Bischoff." Mauro said.
"Which would cause the fans to react in shock, then Ali just reacted like she had seen the end of the world." JR said as well.
"During commercial break, cameras backstage caught Ali's reaction in her locker room, let's take a look now." Mauro said before the cameras were showing a distraught Ali Moonbeam panicking and freaking out as her parents were trying to calm her down and get her focused on her match.
"Why? Why is Eric Bischoff back?! How can this be?! How is it possible?! How can the Empire bring... HIM back?!" Ali asked her mother and father.
"I don't know honey." Amara answered Ali.
"Just please calm down?" Eric asked Ali.
"Okay Dad, I'll calm down... but still... WHY is he back?! You remember the panic attack I had after seeing the Flair/Lethal match, right?!" Ali answered her dad before she ranted once more before she asked her mom once again.
"Yes, just stay calm." Amara answered before she told Ali to calm down.
"I wish I could..." Ali said to her mother before Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels arrived.
"Hey Bret, Hey Shawn." Eric said to them.
"Can you please talk some sense into Ali?" Amara asked them.
"Yeah please help." Eric said to them.
"Okay." Bret said to them.
"Of course, anything to help my goddaughter out." Shawn said meanwhile Ali was still freaking out over Bischoff's return.
"Ali...? It's me Bret with your godfather Shawn." Bret said to Ali.
"Hey Ali." Shawn said to Ali also before she sighed a bit.
"Hey, I'm glad you guys are here to help mom and dad out, I know I have a huge match tonight with Josee but I don't know if I can get my head back in the game." Ali said to Bret and Shawn.
"Not after..." Ali growled as she grew more pissed.
"What happened..." Ali said to them.
"Ali I know how you feel, but you need to control yourself." Bret said to Ali.
"I wish I could, Bret, but how can I control myself if Bischoff has come back?!" Ali said before she asked.
"Hey, girl... I saw your pit earlier and you said something about a panic attack?" Shawn asked Ali.
"Yes! I had a panic attack after Ric Flair wrestled Jay Lethal... mom, Dad, can you explain it to him for me?" Ali answered, and explained briefly before she asked her parents to explain the rest as she used her inhaler four times to calm down.
"Sure." Amara answered before she and Eric began explaining what their daughter meant to Shawn.
"Eight years ago... Ali, Amara, and I were watching TNA Impact and we saw Ric Flair wrestle Jay Lethal in a Street fight..." Eric said to Shawn before Amara was next to speak.
"But that's not the worst part." Amara said before Eric resumed speaking.
"The worst part is that we had to see Ric Flair's bare buttocks and him win the match in his underwear, as that caused Ali to puke for 15 seconds before she started sweating profusely, hyperventilating, she was having a panic attack." Eric said to Shawn.
"And if that ain't all, she had gotten dizzy after vomiting and then... she was in the hospital for two to three weeks, she had to be home schooled." Amara said to Shawn before Eric was next once again.
"She got get well soon baskets from everyone in WWE and TNA." Eric said to Shawn.
"Oh! I remember Triple H telling me about that." Shawn said to them.
"Even Ric Flair visited her as he was in tears, crying his eyes out." Amara said to him as well.
"Really?" Bret asked her.
"Yeah, all of that is true." Ali answered Bret.
"I'm starting to remember that, I'm sorry that I forgot that." Bret said to Ali.
"All good, but how in the fuck am I supposed to get my head back in the game with that shithead back?!" Ali said before she asked Bret.
"Just don't keep focusing on it." Bret answered Ali.
"Okay." Ali said before she turned her focus to her mom.
"And plus, when I was rushed to the hospital, who did you inform first, mom?" Ali asked Amara.
"I informed your dad." Amara answered Ali.
"Okay... but oh, my God! I am pissed off!" Ali shouted at Amara.
"I know, but getting pissed off is not gonna do any good for your match tonight." Amara said to Ali.
"You're right, but... but..." Ali said before she began to scream like Tweek from South Park.
"I can't talk right now! I gotta focus on my match!" Ali said before she tried to run off as Bret and Amara grabbed her.
"Alisabeth Leslie Moonbeam you listen to me right now!" Amara shouted at Ali who stopped screaming like Tweek and started keeping her composure.
"Okay mom." Ali said to her mom.
"Amara, don't you think you were too loud?" Eric asked Amara.
"You're right, Eric." Amara answered Eric before she turned to Ali once more.
"Ali, I just want you to relax before your match." Amara said to Ali.
"Your mom is right... whenever I had a big match I had jitters too but I talked to my family about it and they helped and supported me." Bret said to Ali.
"Okay, but..." Ali said to Bret while she started having doubts again.
"Ali, calm down and listen to me." Bret said to Ali.
"You cannot let what happened earlier effect your performance in the ring tonight... I know you hate Bischoff, but don't let him get to you." Bret said to Ali who was still twitching.
"You're... you're right..." Ali said before she then began to use her inhaler some.
"Anyway, the point is... you can't let this shit with Bischoff kill your momentum." Bret said to Ali.
"Yeah... you're right, I'm sorry about my outburst that is not like me at all, screaming like Tweek from South Park good lord, that has never happened to me." Ali said as she apologized.
"Yeah, this is the first time I've seen you act like that." Shawn said to Ali.
"Hopefully, this will be an isolated incident and it won't happen again." Amara said to Ali.
"If you can learn from this experience young lady." Eric said to Ali.
"Yeah, I'm very sorry again you guys." Ali apologized to her parents and to her support team.
"God... all this panicking is making me feel..." Ali said before she felt something come up.
"Dad, get a trash can... please!" Ali shouted.
"I'm on it." Eric said before he and Shawn grabbed a trash can before Ali threw up for a good six seconds before wiping the vomit stains from the corners of her mouth.
"Thanks you guys." Ali said to her father and to Shawn.
"You're welcome sweetheart." Eric said to Ali.
"Shawn... anyone got any Evian?" Ali asked Shawn.
"Yes, but seriously Ali... you really need to get your head in the game for tonight's match." Shawn answered before he advised Ali to get her head in the game.
"You're right... can't let Bischoff's presence fuck up my night." Ali said to Shawn.
"No you can't, not even for a minute." Shawn said to Ali.
"Yeah, it's high time you showed that son of a bitch that you're not a retarded freak of a half-dyke and it's high time that you showed Josee some manners in the ring!" Bret said to Ali.
"Yeah, now I just need to relax until it's go time." Ali said to Bret.
"Yeah." Bret said in agreement.
"Mom, Dad, I'm really sorry for freaking out like that." Ali apologized to her parents.
"You really need to quit apologizing, we're good... besides this is the first time I saw you freak out like that." Amara said to Ali.
"Hopefully it'll be the last time." Ali said to Amara.
"Let's hope." Eric said to Ali.
"Besides, I should make a note not to watch South Park before the show... because it could result in me acting like Tweek again if I'm not careful." Ali said to her parents.
"Yeah, save it for after the show's over from now on, and also... just one episode a night." Eric said to Ali.
"Kay daddy." Ali said before she took a sip of Evian.
"Anyhoo, I gotta get ready for my match." Ali said to her parents, and to her support team.
"Okay Ali, kick Josee's butt in the ring tonight." Eric said to Ali.
"I will Dad." Ali said to Eric before they hugged.
"I love you sweetie." Amara said to Ali.
"I love you too Momma." Ali said to her mother.
"Be careful against this woman, she can be sneaky." Shawn said to Ali.
"Shawn... no worries, I got this." Ali said to Shawn before he and Ali's parents left as Bret decided to keep her company for a bit as the camera stopped rolling backstage as Ali decided to get ready for the match, then the cameras returned back to the commentary team.
"Wow, have you ever seen Ali freak out like that?" Mauro asked JR.
"No Mauro! Not at all! Ali is furious and wants to make Eric Bischoff pay dearly!" JR answered Mauro.
"Anyway lets get to our opening contest." Mauro said before "Demons" by Imagine Dragons played as Mike came out as the crowd roared because his attire was white and black with black boots and black knee pads, and white elbow pads while he had on a New Orleans Saints jersey.
"Here comes Mike Smith who is set to kick it off against Jacques Grenier!" JR said before the bell rang.
"Ladies and Gentlemen... the opening contest is set for one-fall! Introducing first accompanied to the ring by Zoey Brown, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada... weighing in at 220 Pounds... Mike Smith!" Justin Roberts announced.
"Mike Smith is making his way to the ring in gear that is in colors of the Saints and this crowd is loving it." Mauro said before Mikr entered the ring as he stood up on the top turnbuckle as he pumped up the crowd.
"Let's go Saints!" The crowd chanted a bit before his music stopped as "Triumphant Trumpets played to loud boos as Jacques came out in his attire but it was in silver which was one of the colors of the Carolina panthers as he was also wearing a Carolina Panthers jersey.
"His opponent, accompanied to the ring by Josee Grenier... representing The Empire... from Montreal, Quebec, Canada... weighing in at 240 Pounds... Jacques Grenier!" Justin Roberts announced before Jacques and Josee both ran into the ring, waving at everyone, though everyone continued booing at them, making them look upset.
"Panthers suck and so do you!" A female fan shouted at them.
"When it comes to those two, it's always like a handicap match for anyone facing them." Mauro said to JR.
"I agree Mauro, but Mike has to be focus on Jacques only if he wants to score the win." JR said to Mauro.
"JR he does want to win." Mauro said to JR.
"I know, I'm just speaking hypothetically." JR said before Jacques and Mike butted heads before Zoey got Mike out of the ring.
"Mike, tonight you just focus on Jacques, I'll make sure Josee stays out of the way." Zoey said to Mike.
"Thank you, Zoey." Mike said before he re-entered the ring while Jacques remained in his corner.
"This is going to be one wild match tonight! Let's see who will be victorious." Mauro said before the referee signaled the timekeeper to ring the bell as the match officially began with Mike and Jacques came in brawling.
"Here we go and we kick things off with a brawl!" JR said before Mike nailed an arm drag to Jacques.
"What an arm drag by the former Hardcore Champion Mike Smith!" Mauro said before Mike leaped onto the ropes and landed in a Springboard DDT before following it up with a springboard moonsault from the second rope.
"Followed that up with a Springboard DDT and a Springboard Moonsault similar to Chris Jericho's Lionsault." JR said.
"WOO!" Mike shouted before he pounded his chest causing the crowd to cheer, before he nailed a Shining Wizard to Jacques' head.
"What a shining wizard by Mike Smith." JR said before Mike attempted it again but Jacques countered it and nailed a hard Argentine Powerbomb before he then nailed a running knee to Mike's face before he nailed a few hard elbow drops to his chest.
"Jacques has been on fire since he countered Mike's shining wizard with that Argentine Powerbomb." Mauro said before Josee started cheering Jacques on.
"Yes! Keep going Jacques, obliterate that skinny freak!" Josee shouted at Jacques encouraging him to keep going while Zoey was encouraging Mike to not give up.
"C'mon, Mike! Don't give up!" Zoey shouted at Mike before Jacques went up the turnbuckle and before he could do anything Mike quickly followed him up the turnbuckle.
"Wait a minute what is Mike gonna do?" JR asked Mauro before Mike nailed Jacques with a hurricanrana.
"Mike has responded back with a beautiful hurricanrana!" Mauro said before Mike then nailed jacques with a reverse hurricanrana.
"What a reverse Hurricanrana by Mike Smith!" JR said before Mike then nailed a hurricanrana DDT.
"Mike follows that up with a beautifully done Hurricanrana DDT!" Mauro shouted before Mike pinned Jacques.
"1...! 2...!" The ref counted before Jacques kicked out, before Mike nailed an inverted DDT as he was feeling the adrenaline in his body before leaping onto the turnbuckle.
"Mike must be waiting for Jacques to get up so he can go for the kill!" JR said to Mauro.
"Get back up, Jacques! C'mon!" Mike shouted before he pursued and waited for Jacques to get back onto his feet which he does.
"Jacques is back up!" Mauro said as Mike attempted another Springboard DDT, but Jacques used his strength to prevent that before nailing Mike onto the turnbuckle with the snake eyes and soon delivered a running big boot onto his head.
"Good god! What a counter by Jacques!" JR said before Jacques then goes for the triple axel leg drop which he nailed perfectly.
"Yes! Bravo, Jacques!" Josee shouted before Jacques then pinned Mike.
"This could be it for Mike." Mauro said before the referee began the count.
"1...! 2...!" The ref counted before Mike kicked out as the crowd cheered.
"Mike Smith is still breathing in this our opening contest at the big easy!" JR shouted.
"Come on Mike! Let's go!" Zoey shouted at Mike.
"Zoey encouraging Mike to keep on fighting until he finds a way to win." Mauro said before Jacques lifted Mike up, nailing a lot of knee strikes onto his face before lifting him over his head.
"My god! What knees by Jacques all over Mike's face!" Mauro said to JR.
"I know but what is Jacques going for?" JR said before he asked Mauro before Jacques attempted a sleeper suplex but Mike countered that into another hurricanrana onto the turnbuckle.
"Oh! Mamma Mia!" Mauro shouted.
"Mike Smith with the hurricanrana onto the turnbuckle!" JR shiuted before Jacques slowly got back onto his feet before Mike grabbed him and soon connected a German Suplex onto Jacques as he then followed it up with three shining wizards.
"Woohoo! Alright, Mike! Show him your wild side!" Zoey cheered on Mike while Josee was livid.
"Jacques, stop messing up and just finish him up!" Josee shouted.
"Both women are encouraging their men and OH!-" Mauro said while Jacques got up and nailed a hard lariat, and then he nailed the French Special twice.
"Two French Special's by Jacques Grenier, this could spell the end of Mike Smith." JR shouted before Jacques pinned Mike as the ref began the count.
"1...! 2...!" The ref counted as Mike kicked out again to the delight of the crowd.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" Josee was shocked.
"Mike is alive in this match!" Mauro shouted before.
"My god!" JR shouted as Jacques was very livid.
"No! You can't be alive!" Jacques shouted before he slammed Mike onto the corner before he began elbowing Mike over and over.
"Give up!" Jacques shouted at Mike before the referee intervened as the referee was none other than Earl Hebner.
"Jacques get out of the corner! 1...! 2...! 3...! 4...! Jacques! Get your French ass out of the corner... now! Or else you will be disqualified!" Earl shouted at Jacques who let go and soon had an argument with him.
"Wait, what is Josee doing?" JR shoutd before Josee tried to attack Mike by clawing his eyes, but Zoey entered the ring and nailed Indie Kick to the back of Josee's head.
"Bam! Indie Kick! To the cranium of Josee!" JR shouted before Zoey picked Josee up and nailed her with the Zoey Bomb as both women were now out of the ring.
"Zoey with the Zoey Bomb!" Mauro shouted before Jacques saw Josee before he returned his focus onto Mike, who was on the top turnbuckle as he delivered a dropkick onto Jacques.
"Dropkick by Mike! He's making a comeback, folks!" JR said before Mike began unleashing a fury of attacks as he nailed a series of Daniel Bryan like kicks onto Jacques's chest before lifting him up and soon nailed a Falcon Arrow Suplex onto Jacques before he ran towards the corner.
"This is over!" Mike shouted before he took off one of his knee pads as he nailed a running knee to Jacques's face.
"OHHHH!" The crowd groaned.
"What a running knee by Mike!" Mauro shouted before Mike pinned Jacques.
"1...! 2...! 3...!" The referee counted as Mike won the match.
"What a match to kick off the tonight's action." JR said to Mauro.
"Here is your winner... Mike Smith!" Justin Roberts announced as Earl Hebner raised Mike's arm while Zoey entered the ring and hugged her winner.
"I knew you would win, Mike." Zoey said to Mike.
"Yeah, thanks for the help though." Mike said as he and Zoey kissed while Jacques rolled out of the ring while Josee looked disappointed about her husband losing, while Mike and Zoey got microphones.
"What are they gonna have to say?" JR asked Mauro.
"I don't know." Mauro answered.
"Duncan, Scarlett..." Mike said before Zoey was next.
"We hope what you saw what a demonstration of what will happen at Christmas Miracle when we clash in the first ever hardcore mixed tag team match." Zoey said before the crowd cheered.
"If not... we will be more than happy to give you a better demonstration." Mike said as he and Zoey both nodded causing the crowd to roar loudly before they left the ring, grabbed Josee and Jacques as they tossed them back into the ring before Mike grabbed the steel stairs and Zoey went under the ring and pulled out.. a wooden table to the delight of the crowd.
"What are those two doing?! Are they really going to send Duncan and Scarlett a message?!" JR asked Mauro.
"I think they are, JR!" Mauro answered before Zoey placed the wooden table in the ring before she nailed Josee with another Indie Kick as she left the ring to get some lighter fluid and a blow torch to the delight of the crowd.
"What in the the hell is Zoey gonna do?!" Mauro asked JR.
"Is that woman crazy?!" JR asked Mauro.
"I think she is, but I think that's why Mike loves that woman!" Mauro answered JR while Mike slammed the steel steps onto Jacques before placing it down while Zoey grabbed Josee and set her up for the Zoey bomb
"Zoey is going for another Zoey bomb onto Josee this time through the flaming wooden table!" Mauro shouted while that was happening, Mike decided to join in and was going for a powerbomb on Jacques against the steel steps.
"Now Mike has joined in by going for a Powerbomb to Jacques onto the steel steps!" JR shouted before Zoey and Mike both did powerbombs on their respective opposition as Zoey did the Zoey Bomb to Josee through the flaming Table while Mike did a Powerbomb to Jacques to the steel steps.
"MAMMA MIA! MIKE AND ZOEY WITH A DOUBLE POWERBOMB TO JACQUES AND JOSEE!" Mauro shouted.
"Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit!" The crowd chanted loudly.
"If this is what we're gonna see from Mike and Zoey at Christmas Miracle then it'll be a war!" JR shouted before Mike had the micrphone back.
"You see Duncan and Scarlett... that is what you'll see from us at Christmas Miracle!" Mike said before Zoey was next.
"A couple of extreme motherfuckers that'll completely massacre you up in Houston!" Zoey said as the crowd cheered loudly.
"See you in Houston!" Mike and Zoey said before they exited the ring while hearing the fans cheer for them both as they soon did a little tribute by doing the Hardy Boyz hand sign.
"What a way to kick off TDW here in New Orleans!" JR said to Mauro.
"When we come back, it'll be The TDW Tag Team Champions and Bridgette taking on The Step-Brothers and their mystery tag team partner, in 6 person tag team action who will it be?" Mauro said before he asked JR.
"We will find out after the break." JR said before the camera faded to black.
