Kibble scribble: Alright, were back to it. and i'm sorry this chapter came later on this platform, FFnet was being odd and not loading on my tablet so im having to borrow a family members computer.
"A Torenascu type?!" Musashi asked in disbelief as the door to the Medbay closed behind him and Jarskat.
"Yes, I found it strange myself" Jarskat replied as he glanced down the hallways finding them empty at the moment.
"Strange? Its downright terrifying!" Musashi exclaimed almost in a Yell. "The Tornascu is Azlanti technology, one of their most powerful and advanced Cortex Augmenters! There is no way that Grays should be able to have one, let alone two. And even if they did someone get their hands on them, why would they install such powerful pieced of technology in a pair of Primitive culture humans from an equally primitive world?!"
Jarskat was silent for a moment before speaking up cautiously. "Do you, want me to do more in depth scans of the girls then? See if I can find a reason for-"
"No," Musashi cut him off. "That goes against all primitive culture protection laws, and they already are going through a lot. We shouldn't make things any worse," He said as he seemed to think for a second. "We, will just tell them that it's a model of Cortex Augmenter, and that it is why they can understand us."
"I understand. I shall only tell them thusly, and make sure the information does not spread. It shall be kept between us."
"Good and thank you,"Musashi said with a heavy sigh. "And here I thought this job would be simple, yet in a matter pf seconds it becomes anything but."
"I would not let it worry you captain, the Azlanti empire may be large, but it is on the other side of the galaxy, I doubt it is of true issue, and merely coincidence."
"I hope so," Musashi muttered as a ping came from hos arm. Got to head to the bridge. Will you be alright looking over the girls for now? Can you prepare some clothing for them to wear when they wake up?"
"We don't exactly have a whole lot of human gear, especially not of their size, but I believe I can make something passable with some help from Emden and the fabrication terminal."
"Good, ping me when the ladies wake up please," Musashi said as he turned and left, walking down the halls of his ship.
The Telicherry was a Modest sized Converted Cruiser. Originally a trade vessel, the modifications done to it over the years turning it into an armored beast made for taking down other ships, especially pirate ships. It had all the amenities the crew could ask for on a space ship except one, and that was space. Because of the modifications, the inside hallways were a undulating mess of twists and turns, and the hallways were only six feet wide, barely wide enough for some of the bigger crew. It did mean that the ship was a nightmare for anyone trying to forcibly board it, but it also meant that getting anywhere quickly was basically impossible.
It took him almost twenty minute to reach the bridge, having to slip through both ta recreation room and the cafeteria, but when he finally got to the bridge and entered he found nothing amiss. The ping was just for a casual request for presence after all.
"So, what is it then?" Musashi asked as he walked in and up to his command console and merely leaned against the back of his chair.
"Well, I figured you would want to see the proof of what we need to do with your own eyes," Cam the Brenerri said as he stood in front of the ships main view window with a remote in hand.
Musashi smirked. "Alright you gun nut, let it loose once you make sure the ship is recording so we can get that bonus bounty later.
"Please, you wound me captain, I'm always recording," Cam said as he turned to the viewport and pressed the button. In an instant the ship vibrated slightly as the ships real main gun, a twin linked Turreted Railgun, let loose a pair of slugs into the void and straight into the Grey ship. The shots struck true and burrowed deep before their internal payloads ignited, and a second later the entire ship was a conflagration of fire and energy. "Ah yes, such a beautiful filigree of flames!
"Keep it in your pants, Cam," Musashi said with sigh. "Total destruction, right?
"Yes captain."
"Good, all that grey technology deserves," Musashi said as he looked over to his pilot. "Tethys, plot a course back to Absalom. It's time to get our guests to the Bureau and get them on the way back home."

Space is cold. This was an obvious fact to anyone that traveled through it. The absence of an atmosphere meant that heat could not really disperse in any way, and this resulted in space being cold. Most ships therefore detected other ships or stellar objects by looking for magnetic signatures, reflecting laser or radiation pulses, or by their heat.
This meant the best way to hide something was to remove its magnetic signature and power readings if possible, and of course its heat.
So even as the Telicherry left the empty regain where the gray ship was nothing but splinters and scrap metal, a small ice covered sphere of metal drifted along happily and unnoticed. And after a couple hour of drifting its internal charge activated, sending metal spikes out of its sides and breaking the ice surrounding it before then emitting its own tracking signal to be found at some point in the future by its creators.
And to pass on its information.
