Prologue

It all started one sunny morning in the Cul-De-Sac. The Eds were going to go prank every kid in the neighborhood; but the other kids pranked them by making them believe that another prankster was out to get them. The Eds decided to get payback by making a massive stink bomb know as "The El-Mongo Stink Bomb". The stink bomb successfully went off, completely overwhelming the entire Cul-De-Sac with an extremely foul stench. However, what the Eds didn't take into account was how long the stink lasted, especially since the final ingredient was one of Ed's socks. Not only were the kids angry at the Eds, the Eds' parents were also.

Two Days Later

It has been two days since the stink bomb went off. Everyone in the Cul-De-Sac tried everything to handle the smell. They tried lots of air fresheners, gas masks, and simply just ignoring it; but nothing worked. On the second night at Eddy's house, the Eds' parents got together to decide what to do with their sons.

"I can't believe that son of mine! Why did his older brother teach him how to make that accursed stink bomb?!" asked Eddy's father.

"Why did my little Ed help build that thing?" asked Ed's mother.

"Our son is not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, honey. He can easily be persuaded into doing anything." said Ed's father.

"Anything except practice good hygiene. I need to hold my breath before I enter his room so I don't pass out from the smell." said Ed's mother.

"What about our young Edward? I can't believe he had a hand in the creation of that stink bomb." said Edd's mother.

"How could someone as smart as our son go along with such an immature prank?" asked Edd's father.

"That's what happens when kids don't have proper supervision. They can pretty much do anything because we aren't there to stop them." said Edd's mother. (a/n: We mean, throughout the entire Ed, Edd, n Eddy series; We haven't seen a whole lot of the adults, except for Eddy's dad's arm and Ed's mother's arm in that report card episode, and Eddy's mom's arm in that school photo episode. If it wasn't for that, we'd have no reason to believe that adults exist on that show.)

"But what can we do? We're too busy to look after our son. We have to use sticky notes to communicate with him." said Edd's father.

"I know. The only older person to look after our son is that delinquent older brother of his, and he isn't exactly a proper role model." said Eddy's father.

"And we can't get through to our son. He's too focused on comics, horror movies, and chickens." said Ed's mother.

"We need to do something about our boys to help put them down a path towards a more promising future for them. But what?" asked Edd's mother. Edd's father pulls a folded up sheet of paper out of his pocket.

"I believed that the reason our Edward did it because he isn't being intellectually challenged here. Regular school seems too easy for our son. He must've been bored without anything to challenge his mind. So I went online to look for a more advanced school for our son and I found this." said Edd's father as he held out a sheet of paper.

"What's this?" asked Eddy's father.

"It's an advertisement for some sort of academy in a place called the Paldea region.

"Paldea? Where's that?" asked Eddy's father.

"It's somewhere across the ocean, apparently. I never heard of it, myself." said Edd's father.

"What kind of academy is it?" asked Edd's mother.

"Well the advertisement say it's called the Uva Academy; but other than that, it doesn't say what kind of academy it is. But sending our sons away for a while may be good for all of us, at least until things calm down around here." said Edd's father.

"Maybe this academy will help improve our son's mind." said Ed's mother.

"And maybe put our son, Eddy, down a more promising path than his brother." said Eddy's father. All the parents had looks of approval on their faces.

"So we're all in agreement about sending our boys there?" asked Edd's father. The other parents nodded in agreement. "Then it's settled. We'll send applications for our sons right away."

"And we'll let the boys know." said Edd's mother. Later that night after the parents applied their sons to the academy and made travel arrangements also, they told their sons their plans. Later that night in Edd's room, Edd was packing a suitcase with clothes and other essential things he might need.

"How exciting. Going to an academy in a foreign land, plus getting away from the foul odor that's plaguing our neighborhood. I wonder what kind of academy it is. I can't wait to get there and find out." said Edd. In Eddy's room, Eddy was angrily cramming stuff into a suitcase.

"I don't believe this. I have to go to some boring academy. What did I do to deserve this?" asked Eddy. In Ed's room, Ed's little sister Sarah was packing a brown duffel bag with stuff.

"The sooner I get you packed, the sooner you'll be out of our hair for a while! I can't believe you and your stupid friends stunk up the neighborhood. It stinks enough in your room." said Sarah, who was wearing a gas mask, and not just because she's in Ed's room; but because of the stink bomb.

"But, Sarah. It wasn't my idea." said Ed.

"Shut up, Ed! I can't wait for you and your friends to leave so we can all have fun without you three messing everything up!" yelled Sarah. Ed looked at Sarah with a sad pouty face. After they were all packed; everyone settled down for the night, lit some scented candles to hopefully help with the smell, and went to sleep. That morning, the Eds got into their parents' cars and drove to the airport.

"Eddy. I know you're not happy about going to the Paldea region to attend that academy; but it's for your own good." said Eddy's mother.

"I just hope we're flying first class." Eddy said from the backseat.

"You just behave yourself and listen to your teachers. I don't want to have to deal with any trouble you and your friends may cause." said Eddy's father.

"Whatever." said Eddy. In Edd's parents' car. Edd was excited.

"This is so exciting. Me, an academy student. I can hardly believe it." said Edd.

"Just do your best, Eddward; and make sure that you and your friends stay out of trouble." said Edd's father.

"Yes, father." said Edd. In Ed's parents' car, Ed's head was sticking out the car window with his tongue flapping in the breeze.

"Ed. Get your head back inside and pay attention." said Ed's father. Ed groans in protest, but complies with his father's order. "I want you to pay attention to what your teachers tell you and try to learn some stuff."

"But, dad. It sounds so boring." said Ed.

"No buts, young man. I want you to do your best and try not to get into any trouble." said Ed's mother.

"Hmph." Ed pouts as he crosses his arms. They soon reached the airport and parked in the garage. They went inside and found the terminal for the Eds' plane. An announcement soon told them that their flight was ready for boarding. The Eds said goodbye to their parents and they boarded the plane.

"I hope we're doing the right thing." said Eddy's mother.

"Don't worry. I'm sure they'll be fine." said Edd's mother. Once the Eds found their seats, they sat down and buckled their seatbelts.

"I don't believe this. What did we do to deserve this?" asked Eddy.

"We set off that stink bomb; remember?" said Edd.

"So?! I can imagine them grounding us for a couple weeks; a month, tops; but sending us thousands of miles away?! Are our parents out of their minds?!" said Eddy.

"I'll admit, it does seem rather extreme, Eddy. But we have to face the consequences of what we both did. For now, we should try to make the best of our situation. We'll be home soon enough." said Edd.

"You really think so, Double-D?" asked Ed.

"Yes, we will. At least we don't have to worry about the other kids beating us up for what we did. So let's just relax and enjoy the flight." said Edd as he leaned back in his seat. Five minutes later, the plane took off, sending the boys off to what will become their most exciting adventure yet. Half an hour later, the Eds' parents arrived back at their homes. Sarah was sitting in the living room of her and Ed's house when her parents walked in.

"Are they gone?" asked Sarah.

"Yes, sweetie." replied her mother. (a/n: Sweet? Yeah, right.) She and her father walked to their bedroom. After they went into their bedroom, a big smile grew on Sarah's face. An hour later, she, along with Jimmy, Kevin, Jonny, Plank, Nazz, and Rolf were in Nazz's backyard, cheering. There was a table set up with snacks on it, a drink cooler full of sodas next to it, a barbeque grill with hots dogs cooking on it, and a banner that reads 'GOOD RIDDANCE, EDS.' Each kid had a clothes pin on their nose to block off the smell and so they can eat and drink. They also put up a bug zapper to help with not just the mosquitos, but also with the flies that were drawn to the stench from the stink bomb.

"Finally! Those dorks are out of our hair!" cheered Kevin.

"But they'll be back someday, so let's enjoy every second of them being gone." said Jimmy.

"Hey, Jonny. Turn up the music." said Nazz.

"Okey doke, Nazz." said Jonny. He turned up the volume of a boombox. The kids began dancing, looking forward to weeks without the Eds around.
