Club 23 - Chapter XIII - The Planning
It's a new week and the group is at their usual table having a chat during lunch and Flynn per usual gets the table talking when he first speaks
"So, how did you all enjoy Saturday night?", said Flynn in reference to the bowling alley they all went to
"Surprisingly, a nice experience", said Megara that spoke up first, "Well for me at least, don't know about anyone else" she continued
"I agree, it was something that I didn't know that I would have much fun at, but I did", chimed Pocahontas
"Well, I'm glad that everyone had a great time and we need to do something else for another Saturday adventure, Does anybody have any plans" Flynn asks, Aladdin is the first to speak up
"Hmm…I don't Flynn, it seems like we've done everything", he slightly puzzled
"Yeah I've to agree with Ali on this one," said Phoebus
"Me three", chimed Quasimodo
The rest of the boys, outside of Flynn, were planning and planning what the next thing the group should do. They literally had no solution, that's until Esmeralda showed up
"Oh, gentlemen! I have an idea!", she exclaimed
(Gasps from Flynn), "Well…let's hear it, Esme"
"How about the seven of us go to EPCOT Pop-Up Experience!, I heard some great reviews on it online"
"That's a great idea, I've seen photos of it, it looks so fun" chimed Pocahontas who was listening in on the whole conversation
"Question", said Quasimodo who raised his hand
"Speak, Quasi", said Esmeralda
"Why can't we go to…you know…EPCOT itself?"
"Way too expensive, plus it would take us actual planning to do something of that nature"
"Quasimodo shakes his head to signify that Esmeralda is making a valid point
"Hey, sounds like a great idea, Esme", says Flynn, "Who agrees?", everybody shakes their head in agreement and Flynn continues, "Perfect, sounds like a good time, and let all the planning go to me"
"Make sure you plan a date that going to be during our Spring Break", said Aladdin
"Oh yeah, forgot about all of that, when is that by the way?", said Flynn curiously
"After the Spring Formal", said Megara and everybody's face went into a little shock, "What?," said Megara after everybody looked at her weird
"You said the break is after the formal, I thought it was always before," said Phoebus who was still a little confused
"Umm…Phoebs, it's always been like that, well until recently" said Megara, "They had it like this last year"
"So weird that I didn't notice", said Phoebus
"So weird we all didn't notice", said Pocahontas, "Where do you think it's going to take place this year?" she continued
"Hopefully at the Grand Californian", said Quasimodo
"Really?", said Flynn, "I'm really hoping they do it at the Grand Floridian this year"
"Why?", asked Quasimodo
"I don't know really, I feel like there's more stuff to do there, mainly I think the space is just bigger"
"True, but nothing beats the original"
"We'll just wait and have to hear from the committee later on, and by later on, I mean next week"
"Really?," chimed Aladdin, "Should be exciting, Tiana is still the leader of the committee, right?" he continued
"With Charlotte as her assistant, why yes good sir, she still is," says Flynn trying to imitate a fancy British accent
"Yes", says Esmeralda, "she does such a great job on these, hoping this year will be no different"
"Hoping that it will be different…for me at least", said Phoebus under his breath, but Esmeralda heard him saying something
"What was that Phoebus?" said Esmeralda curious
"Oh, I'm sorry, what I said was that I hoping that it wouldn't be different as well", said Phoebus with a suspicious smile on his face
"Umm…bud, are you sure about that?", said Quasimodo out of concern, "I mean we kinda all know your track record on the Spring Formal" he continued
"Yes, my friend, I'm very aware that at the last Spring Formals that I attended in the past, my outfits or my appearance have been slightly altered to be very unappealing," said Phoebus to Quasimodo, before turning his attention to the rest of the lunch table, "Mark my words, friends, nothing bad is going to happen to me this year at the formal
"Really, how are you so sure?," said Aladdin, who was starting to get invested in what his friend was saying
"I have an idea of who I'm going to ask out", Now everybody at their table starts to get more invested in what he's going to say"
"Ooh really" said Pocahontas
"Who's the lucky lady?" said Megara, which Phoebus can't tell if she was being genuine or her usual sarcastic self
"So glad you asked Megara, I'm not going to tell you guys," Now everybody is confused
"Wait, so what was the point of mentioning that you have a date and not telling us?", said Flynn
"Well, I'm not going to tell her name, I want you all to guess a little", said Phoebus
"Okay, this is kinda getting ridicul…," said Megara before Flynn cut her off, "Wait Meg, you how much I like to guess", said Flynn, "You're on Phoebs"
"Okay, good", Phoebus responded, "start off with your first question" he continued
"Does she go here?"
"Yes, she does"
"Is she older or younger than you?"
"Slightly younger, were close in birthdays"
"Do you have classes with her?"
"Yes, only two"
"Is she shorter or taller than you?"
"Shorter, not way shorter, but shorter"
"Hmm, interesting, anyway, what's her favorite color?"
Now the questions are starting to interesting, Phoebus doesn't want to give it away, so he makes some stuff up that is based on truth
"She has two actually, red and blue"
"Hmm", says Flynn and he's kinda stuck, but slowly and surely he gets back to the interrogation", "What does she like to wear?" Flynn continues
"She likes to wear clothes to make her comfortable and confident" Everybody looked at Phoebus and at one another with an expression that said 'Good answer', Flynn continued by saying, "What length is her hair, short or long?"
Phoebus replies with, "Long, not long long, but long"
"Okay, cool", said Flynn under his breath with the slight memory of Rapunzel
"Everything alright there Flynn?", said Phoebus concerned
"Yep, everything's fine", said Flynn, "Moving on, what colors are her eyes?"
This one stumped Phoebus, he says the obvious, everyone is going to think the obvious, and he needs to think of something so weird, that Flynn will question its weirdness
"Christmas", Phoebus proves his own theory right as everybody is confused
"Christmas, her eyes are the color Christmas"
"Yep", with full confidence said Phoebus with Flynn not questioning it and moving on
"Curvaceous?", said Flynn with a raised eyebrow, until Esmeralda gave him a punch on the arm
"Flynn!", she exclaimed
"What, I'm asking the hard-hitting questions here?" he responded
"I try to focus on external and internal beauty equally", said Phoebus which got a thumbs up from Esmeralda
"Alright final questions, one, what's her scent?"
"A bouquet of flowers"
"Any in particular"
"No", said Phoebus lying
"Okay, two, where would you two go on a first date?"
"A real nice, fancy restaurant, because I know that's something that she would really enjoy"
"Cool, and lastly three, do you think your plan of asking her out to the Spring Formal is going to work, yes or no?"
Phoebus had to think real deeply about this question because one fatal error could cost him in his plans for a date to the formal, he comes up with the best answer he can for Flynn
"If everything goes according to plan, then yes"
"Okay", said Flynn, "you're free to go, thanks for cooperating" he continued
"Thanks for the questions," said Phoebus who smiled at Flynn and everybody else started to walk back to class, while walking back Esmeralda was thinking about the answers that Phoebus had said, she was trying her hardest to guess who this mystery girl was, but she couldn't fathom to have the slightest idea on who it could be. She continues to walk and Naveen approaches her, but before Naveen can speak to her she says something under her breath
"If everything goes according to plan, Phoebus…what is the plan?"
