Based on the Original Fanfiction Love Fighter, a Love Hina/Street Fighter crossover by Snafu the Great
With the blessing of Snafu the Great, I want to do a remake of his old story. But in my version, the roles have been reversed and revamped. Here's how it goes:
Sakura Haruno, age 19, born on March 28, 1999, will play the role of Keitaro Urashima. A cram school student desperately trying to get into Okayama University because of a childhood promise she made, even though she couldn't remember the name or face of the boy with whom she made the promise. She likes ancient literature, astrology, and fortune-telling.
Sasuke Uchiha, age 19, born on July 23, 1999, will play the role of Naru Narusegawa. A studious exam student with a very short fuse and a physically aggressive nature that hates perverts, he desires to enter Okayama University to fulfill a promise he made in the past. Has an unrequired crush on Hitomi Asamiya.
Ino Yamanaka, age 19, born on September 23, 1999, will play the role of Kentaro Sakata. A rich, beautiful savvy heiress of the Yamanaka clan who is well-mannered and intelligent, she is Sakura's one-time rival for Sasuke's affections. Attends Tokyo University with a major in fashion.
Kazuya Watanabe (my original character model after the super cute and talented Yuki Yamada from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger as Joe Gibken), age 19, born on December 21, 1999, will play the role of Mutsumi Otohime. A very sweet, very kind, scatter-brained boy who lives with his family on a small island off the coast near the main island of Shikoku west of the capital Ehime. His family used to work at the Pekara Inn where as kids, he, Sakura, and Sasuke made a promise to one day attend Okayama University together. Loves apples, and has a habit of sleepwalking. Suffer from astigmatism and prone to anemic fainting.
Hinata Hyuga, age 19, born on December 27, 1999, will play the role of Kimiaki Shirai. A young woman with a curvaceous and voluptuous figure than most young girls, she's one of Sakura's friends from Asahijuku Secondary School who is an anime fan and pop idol that likes to spend time with her friend Mina Mikon and chase after cute boys.
Mina Mikon (mattwilson83's original character. Follow him on his page's website), age 18, born on November 10, 2000, will play the role of Masayuki Haitani. A slender, physically fit, and petite young woman who is also Sakura's friend from Asahijuku Secondary School. She is a sweet, easygoing kind of girl that likes to spend time with her buddy Hinata Hyuga and chase after cute boys.
Kyo Sanada (another original character, model after Tatewaki Kuno from Ranma 1/2), age 16, born on November 22, 2002, will play the role of Motoko Aoyama. Sombre, athletic and martial arts practitioner, dubbed "Kendo Boy" by others, Kyo is born into the head family of the Matsushiro Samurai School, a school founded by their ancestor Sanada Yukinori that was built in 1853 that studies not only martial arts, Jujutsu, Kenjutsu, Archery, Spear, demon slayers, and exorcism, but also study literature, artillery, tactics and western science, and is next in line to inherit the ownership of the school. He dislikes perverted women and monkeys, most commonly the Japanese macaque that bit him in the leg when he was a child, and carries emotional scars from that event. He thinks that all women are "scum" and looks up to men that lead a singular life without female influence. He also believes that being feminine is a form of weakness. Also has a tense fear of his older brother.
Jin Sanada, age 26, born on March 15, 1992, will play the role of Tsuruko Aoyama. Kyo's older brother has a somewhat eccentric personality. Jin is ethical and tolerant to a point. He is strong-willed and difficult to sway when he has made up his mind. As he is not expected to be active in running their family's dojo, the Matsushiro Samurai School, having given up the life of the sword for marriage, he has to hand the school over to Kyo when he is ready. His knowledge and skills with the Matsushiro arts are unparalleled, and he is one of the most powerful swordsmen in the style's history. Despite possessing a "tough love" outlook where his younger brother is concerned, Jin has Kyo's best interests at heart and his only wish is for his brother to be happy on whatever path he chooses to walk. His only dislike is when Kyo is being lazy, lying, or not telling all the details.
Jiro Amano, age 19, born on December 23, 1999, will play the role of Mitsune "Kitsune" Konno. He is a sly and opportunistic young man and is a close friend to Sasuke Uchiha and one of the first of the Pekara residents to live at the Pekara Inn. Describing himself as a freelance writer, Jiro prefers to lead a relaxed lifestyle, drinking rice wine and gambling on boats. He tends to cause mischief when he finds himself lacking in entertainment. He also uses the alias "Kitsune."
Hitomi Asamiya, age 35, born on February 14, 1983, will play the role of Professor Noriyasu Seta. An archaeologist at Okayama University with a veritable Lara Croft personality, she once acted as Sasuke Uchiha's tutor. She is also an exceptionally skilled martial artist and possesses near indestructibility. Hitomi spends a good deal of her time traveling the world on various expeditions. Her goal is to find evidence of the ancient Fox Civilization that once flourished throughout Southeast Asia.
Alex Wilson, age 11, born on January 6, 2007, will play the role of Sarah McDougal. A British boy from London, Alex is the adoptive son of Hitomi after his biological father, James, passed away due to an unknown event. Before he died, James traveled with his son, Hitomi, and Naomi Haruno. Instead of passing on to James's ex-wife, Hitomi was given custody of James's son after it was revealed that Alex had spent some time with and was abused by his mother.
Kurama Tomiya, age 14, born on October 10, 2004, will play the role of Kaolla Su. Liking to keep his origins a secret, it was initially thought that he was from Malaysia or possibly even the Philippines and Singapore. However, it was revealed that he was a royal prince from the Kingdom of Mobius, an island nation in the Pacific. His ambition is to return to his homeland to start a computing school and transform his country into a technological power that will rival and eventually conquer Japan. He goes to the same school as Riku Hashimoto.
Riku Hashimoto, age 14, born on November 15, 2004, will play the role of Shinobu Maehara. He is an extremely shy junior high school student living in the Pekara Inn as the dorm's cook. Timid in nature and stature, Riku is kind-hearted but softly spoken. Although he wishes to be strong and smart like Sasuke or Kyo, Riku lacks confidence in himself and feels that he always fails at what he attempts. He develops a crush on Sakura when she helps him with his studies and idolizes her as she continues pursuing her dreams despite the difficulties she faces.
Naomi Haruno, age 32, born on July 21, 1986, will play the role of Haruka Urashima. He is Mebuki and Kizashi's oldest son and Sakura's brother. While giving the impression of being cold and detached, Naomi has a pearl of much worldly wisdom that he shares on occasion in the form of advice. Possessing a smoking habit ever since college, Naomi's physical prowess and martial arts abilities during his travels around the world are on par with Hitomi, with whom he shares a history.
Tifa Lockhart, age 31, born on May 3, 1987, will play the role of Ryu Hoshi from Street Fighter. She is an American (her father Brian is German and her mother Thea is American of Japanese descent) student of the Zangan-style of martial arts, the Kyokugenryu Karate, and is the Shihan of the Shinden Tsushima-ryu Battōjutsu in Sleepy Hollow New York. Multilingual in 4 languages: Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, and German. Master Rashard Zangan and Sakura's parents are long-time friends. Married to Cloud Strife and is the legal guardian and teacher to Denzel. She also runs a martial arts dojo and a bar and grill called the Seventh Heaven.
Cloud Strife, age 32, born on August 11, 1986, will play the role of Chun-Li Zang from Street Fighter. He is also an American that used to be a detective working for Interpol in Washington DC. He practices boxing, karate, kung fu, kickboxing, and street fighting and mostly uses Hakkyokuseiken and Muay Thai. Multilingual in 4 languages: Japanese, Italian, Korean, and a little Mandarin Chinese. Also, a great cook that specializes in many dishes around the world.
Denzel, age 18, born on November 30, 2000, will play the role of Sakura Kasugano from Street Fighter. An American orphan. His parents were murdered in a home invasion in 2007 when he was seven years old. Tifa was given custody of Denzel and she and Cloud raised him as their ward. A student of Tifa's Zangan-style of martial arts, the shodan in Kyokugenryu Karate and the Shinden Tsushima-ryu Battōjutsu. Fluent in two languages: English and Japanese.
Zack Fair, age 34, born on March 25, 1984, will play the role of Cammy White from Street Fighter. A long-time American friend of Cloud and Tifa and an Interpol agent from New York City.
Alice Tsukagami, age 30, born on April 9, 1988, will play the role of Ken Masters from Street Fighter. Childhood friend and friendly rival of Tifa. Alice is also a student of the Zangan -style of martial arts and Judo. Her father is Japanese and her mother is an American of German descent. The daughter of a wealthy hotel-business tycoon, who is as rich as the Walton family, the founders of Walmart, an American multinational retail corporation that operates a chain of hypermarkets (also called supercenters), discount department stores, and grocery stores in the United States with a net worth of $224.5 billion. Her family also runs a charity organization called the Tsukagami Foundation. Alice is a zoanthrope experiment that was tested upon her when she was a small child by the crime syndicate, Shinra. And after being subjected to physical experimentation, her latent powers were awakened, after which, she was used as a test subject and given battle training. Alice managed to escape the organization before she could be brainwashed, but another girl wasn't so lucky. Her name was Uriko Nonomura. Alice decided to fight back against Shinra and rescue the little girl who'd helped her escape with the help of Uriko's mother, Mitsuko. She is also a childhood friend and love interest of Yugo Ogami, the leader of the non-government organization: The World of Co-Existence. The mission is to support the peace between ordinary humans and zoanthropes. She works as its translator.
Rashard Zangan, age 63, born on October 17, 1955, will play the role of Gouken from Street Fighter. Tifa's master of martial arts. He is a vibrant but aged man with a muscular physique and gray hair in a ponytail. She described him as appearing "both boyish and elderly" with muscled arms "thicker than even the hardiest men of the village." A Thai American from Thailand he is the older brother of Chai.
Chai Zangan, age 59, born on February 10, 1959, will play the role of Akuma from Street Fighter. He is Rashard's younger brother who is also a Thai American from Thailand. Unlike Akuma, who is fixated on mastering the Satsui no Hado, he and Rashard are much like Gouken when it comes to fighting.
Kizashi and Mebuki Haruno, ages 55, born on March 1, 1963 (for Kizashi) and March 19 (for Mebuki), will play the role of Hina Urashima and her unknown husband. The parents of Naomi and Sakura, Kizashi inherited the Pekara Inn from his father, who would later pass the inheritance to Sakura and her brother.
Setting: In an alternate Universe in which Cloud and Tifa are not childhood friends. The story will take place in Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto's real-life home in Okayama Japan. Most notably, the Okayama Prefecture. The town will be called Konoha City.
About Tifa's fighting style: Inspired by Snafu the Great's take on Ryu being the Master Teacher of the Ansatsuken Shinjutsu, my idea is that Tifa is the Shiden Tsushima-ryu Battojutsu and Iaido with her battle stance is that of Alpha Patroklos from the Soul Calibur series. (If you never play the game, you're missing out!). Her style also uses ki and chi attacks, but on a deadly and destructive scale and up to par with Jin's.
The Pekara House: Also known as the Pekara Dorms, the Pekara Apartments, or the Pekara Inn, is located in the hot springs town of Konoha City. It is famous for its open-air hot springs and its "Inn of Fateful Unions", where any couple that stayed the night always ended up together. The Inn, unfortunately, fell in popularity after a landslide caused the annex where the lodge's magic occurred to be condemned and locked away. It also has the seeming power to grant its residents the ability to pass the Okayama University Entrance Exams.
