After getting on the road, we proceeded towards the Drenched Bluff, which was apparently just a stone's throw away from the Guild. And by that, I meant that it was only about half a mile due southeast of the guild's cliff, where we then looked and saw we would need to go down to the 7th floor in order to find the bottom, and the job request said that was where it fell down at.

"Okay, time to take our first steps as a rescue team. Ready, Kiba?" I asked, him nodding as we then went inside of the dungeon and I saw that the layout was actually very weird... it looked almost like I were in a maze of sorts with tight corridors that led to different rooms, which were wide and open, but always shaped like a big box. It was very different than when I... when I saw us from above instead of first person? What kind of logic does that entail? And why was I thinking of that?

"Hey, Kiba?" I asked, hoping to change the subject after we'd proceeded a floor down and after we'd beaten up a Lileep and an Anorith.

"Yeah? What's up?" he asked.

"I actually had a dream last night, but it was more of a memory of my life when I was in my own world," I said, which made him smirk.

"I knew it'd work! So, what'd you see?"

"I was in a bedroom that had posters of some other humans, most of them boys and some girls, and I got a call from a group of police saying that my parents had died. From something gang-related. And you know what the words that exited my mouth were?"

"Was it something like 'oh my god!' or something?"

"Good riddance. That's what I said," I frowned, which I could tell shocked Kiba. "My parents were not good at their job. They killed my brother and they wanted to kill me too, so I was placed in a program that would protect me and give me a changed name... which is actually what I am called now, Lisette Funk. I refused to be called my original name, mainly because I didn't want to be affiliated with a duo of monsters that would kill my little brother WHEN HE WAS 10 and were hoping to find and kill me, too," I said in disgust as I suddenly remembered that detail of my brother's age halfway through the story.

"Oh my god... that's horrible! How could anyone want to kill their own child?!" Kiba asked.

"I don't know why they did it, and wanted to do it again... that's where the dream ended, with me hanging up the thing they called me on and then, just as I look at some strange statue of a colorful human, it starts to shout in Loudred's voice," I said, that making Kiba smirk. "Imagine seeing something like this," I said as I turned into what the statue looked like, which I could tell surprised a Shellos that was coming to attack us at the 5th floor. "and it then speaking with the voice we heard this morning. I sure as hell woke up the moment that happened."

"Hehe, yeah, that does sound like it'd wake me up, too. But I kinda woke up from a nightmare late at night and had to try and sleep better, but it just kept crawling back," he sighed. "It's uh... not something I want to talk about..."

"I understand. Everyone has a nightmare like that at some point, I'm sure," I smiled at him... man, it was weird smiling as a Zorua, because my mouth was so small and right at the front edge of my head instead of where it would be if I were human.

"Y-Yeah... um... it involved when I was growing up... I've been a chicken for a while now, getting picked on by kids I grew up with because I look girly... be honest, do you think I look girly?" he asked, me looking at him and then having one memory flash into my mind... something called My Little Pony... a show where almost everyone was a pony, unicorn, pegasus, or alicorn... basically magic versions of Kiba. And it had just as big a male fanbase as it did a female fanbase, despite being a girly show.

"Can you read minds, Kiba?" I asked.

"Of course, every Psychic type knows how to do that. I just have to make sure the one I read the mind of wants me to do so, or it won't work," he said.

"How about you read mine, then, and I'll show you what I see," I said, which he did and he gawked at the sight of a bunch of male and female humans watching a show about pretty ponies who were mostly female with a few male characters. And his smile formed right when he saw that there was a human in the group that was a male and was wearing a shirt that had a pony on it that looked like him, and it was called Dusty Kicks, a male character he'd made up completely.

"Wow... your original world looks so weird, but... seeing that? I'm happy now, so thanks," he smiled with a chuckle as we finally got to the bottom and, when we did so, we saw the shine of a bright pink pearl right underneath a crevice peering in atop it.

"This must be the pearl that Spoink was talking about... good, no dents, no scuffs, no damage at all! Let's bring it back to the Guild and give Chatot and Spoink the good news," I smiled as I then pocketed the pearl into the toolbox and we then exited the dungeon and appeared right back at the Guild's front entrance with our Rescue Team badges, which we then went inside (after using the grate again) and proceeded to share our discovery with Chatot.

"Ah! You were succussful! And so quickly, too! Might be the fastest time any newbies has come back from Drenched Bluff! I'll go and grab Spoink, then," Chatot smiled chipperly as he went down below and brought Spoink to us from the bottom floor, him then bouncing in place as we produced the pearl and his eyes went aflutter at it.

"Oooh! My precious pearl! You found it!" Spoink said with glee as we then perched it right on his head and he then happily bouced in place with glee. "Yay! Thank you so much! I was going crazy without my special pearl! Here, this is your reward for saving my treasure!" Spoink smiled as he gave us two Reviver Seeds, three Rawst Berries, a TM for the move Wide Slash, and, get this, 2,000 dollars, which made Kiba and me shocked. "Whoa, all this money for one job?" Kiba gawked.

"Of course! It is not even a fration of what my pearl is worth! I must be off, thank you again!" Spoink smiled as he hopped up the ladder rungs and Kiba looked at me happily.

"We're rich! Just like that, rich!" Kiba smiled.

"Very well done... now if you could please hand over the reward money," Chatot said, me frowning. I knew it was coming, but Kiba looked shocked.

"What?!"

"Most of the money from completed rescue missions from guild trainees go to the funding of the Guild, you see. And this is your share," Chatot said before giving us only 200 of the money.

"What?! We only get 10 percent? But why?"

"You must understand that being a member of our training process does have its drawbacks. But don't let this discourage you, just think of all the Pokemon you can help in the future! And don't worry, the money for the Guild won't go to waste," Chatot smiled.

"Okay... I don't expect it to, but I am a bit upset, too..." I admitted.

"Yeah... at least we keep the other stuff, right?" Kiba asked, hoping for a silver lining.

"But of course. We wouldn't want you to feel like you were being cheated, of course. All the rewards that are not money will be able to be kept by you, so make sure they don't go to waste either," Chatot smiled happily.

"Phew, that's a relief... so now the million-dollar question. Which of us will learn Wide Slash?" I smiled at Kiba, him looking at me in surprise.

"Oh, you're asking permission? But I thought that TMs could be used indefinitely?" he asked, me then looking at the TM and then at Kiba.

"Whoa, really? Well, in that case, let's both learn it! It'll help in case we get surrounded in a Mystery Dungeon!" I smirked happily, us then learning it right then and there, with me needing to learn it over Torment because I didn't like that move too much. As for Kiba, he overruled his Growl attack to opt for Wide Slash, meaning that his moveset was now Tackle, Wide Slash, Tail Whip, and Confusion.

As for my, my moves I had accessed as of now were Hone Claws, Scratch, Leer, and Wide Slash.

"Okay, let's go see if we can meet the other Guild members and see what they're doing, too," Kiba smirked, us then going and mingling with the others, which consisted of Sunflora, Croagunk, Dugtrio, and Corphish. As for Chimecho, Loudred, Diglett, and Bidoof, none of them were available as of current. Chimecho was busy preparing dinner, Loudred and Diglett were doing sentry duty, and according to Sunflora, Bidoof had went to town to fetch a few items for Chatot.

"It's nice to have some fresh faces in this place since Bidoof. All morning he was just smiling from ear-to-ear at the thought of having others around as new as him. Oh my gosh, it makes me so happy for him," Sunflora smiled happily.

"Yeah, it's all fun and games until they up and ditch us like so many before," Croagunk said from his big pot.

"Yeesh, mood killer, hey, hey," Corphish said in annoyance.

"Easy, boys, we aren't leaving anytime soon. We're sticking through to the end, for many reasons," I smirked.

"Oh? Would you like to share at least one reason?" Dugtrio asked, them speaking as a single unit instead of one at a time.

"Well, one reason is that I want to try and recover my memories to help save others. I can't recall too much, but I do know I was sent here by someone to help save others... but I can't recall too much because I was attacked and sent hurtling into the waves during that nasty thunderstorm. It really shakes the head around, makes you forget things," I frowned.

"Uh, yeah, hehe, water doesn't scare us, though," Dugtrio spoke boastfully before the night was finally called and the groups finally all converged back into the guild for dinnertime.

"Dinner's ready!" Chimecho chimed for us, which we then rushed in and proceeded to eat. And I thought that I was full the night before, but this grub was so good, fruits, berries, veggies, and all of them tasting unlike anything I'd ever thought I'd tasted before! By the time I was finished with my plate, I felt ready to burst!

"Oh my gosh... you are a very big eater. Hehe, Bidoof might have a new buddy after all," Sunflora smiled at me as I then walked myself to my room after bidding everyone goodnight and I stretched out on my lovely bed with a very full stomach.

"Ah... that was the best I'd eaten in months. Now I see where some of that money goes to, at least. Making that much food couldn't be cheap if they do it every night," Kiba smiled happily.

"Well, now that we're all filled up, we should get ready for bed. We got a whole lot of rescuing to do when we wake up... sweet dreams," I smiled to Kiba before I finally fell asleep... it was the fastest I'd gone to dreamtime I'd ever done since arriving to this world of Pokemon.

In this new dream, I saw that I was in the future of this world, about two weeks into my time since arrival and I had gotten to the outside of Temporal Tower with Celebi and Grovyle.

"Okay, hurry up, before Dialga notices us," Celebi said with fear, me nodding as I touched different items in the place of the remnants of the Hidden Land before I then got a vision from the Dimensional Scream, me seeing that it was a vision of a Mew speaking with Lapras very long ago, like, about 300 years before the fall of Temporal Tower.

"What's the matter, Mew?" Lapras asked.

"I have recieved a vision from Dialga. At some point in the future, in the next 300 years, something will threaten Temporal Tower. I need you to remember this riddle, as it should be spread to find the missing piece to the rainbow platform," Mew said before then speaking a creepy riddle.

"When darkness sows across the land
And time is frozen, no falling sand,
The whole world will crumble, and the sun won't rise,
When Temporal Tower finally dies," Mew said, me gulping at that as I felt I should ask that to Chatot the next morning when I woke up

"Very well, I shall do that. And we'll need to make sure that the one that finds the mark of the hero is good and strong, otherwise, they might do more harm then good..." Lapras sighed.

"Until then, protect the Hidden Land's secrets and don't tell anyone until the hero's mark is found and a hero to go with it," Mew spoke as the vision ended and I woke up from the Dimensional Scream... speaking of waking up...

"WAKE UP! MORNING TIME!" Loudred shouted, me groaning as I got up as well as Kiba, us then going to the morning meeting and doing the morning routine (Wigglytuff was no asleep this time) and, after doing the rule rollcall and cheering, we then went to Chatot.

"Hey, Chatot?" I asked, him smirking at me.

"Oh, I have another thing to show you, Rainbow Illusion. Follow me," Chatot chirped as we followed him and he showed us to the right bulletin board.

"Wait a sec. Yesterday we went to the one on the left. Is this one different?" Kiba asked.

"Why yes, how very astute. Look at the jobs," Chatot smirked as we saw all the different pictures of Pokemon on the list.

"Wow! Look at all the pictures of Pokemon. Who are they?"

"Well, considering that they have rewards for finding and detaining them, I'd say they're criminals, right?" I asked as I pointed out that they had words like 'Wanted' and 'Bounty' on them.

"Good eye, Lisette. These are outlaws, Pokemon that do bad things and have prices on their heads," Chatot said.

"Wait, what?! W-We aren't going to be fighting them, are we? I'm kinda worried about if we went after a bad guy..." Kiba admitted.

"Heehee, don't worry, I'm not going to have you go after a tough one right off the bat. Instead, I'm going to have someone else to help you prepare, as criminals aren't to be taken lightly. Bidoof! Oh Bidoof!" Chatot shouted, the plump beaver coming from the bottom floor and looking a bit tired after.

"Hah... you called?" Bidoof asked.

"Bidoof, these two are Team Rainbow Illusion and they need to be given a tour around town to prepare for their first outlaw jobs. Can you do that?" Chatot asked.

"By golly, I will!" Bidoof smiled happily.

"Very good," Chatot said before I spoke up.

"Before you go, Chatot, I wanted to ask you something," I said, him looking at me in confusion.

"What is it, Lisette?" he asked.

"Um... I had a dream last night that had a very creepy riddle to it. I have a feeling it relates to me, but I need to know if you heard of it," I said.

"Oh, but of course. I am a very knowledgeable Pokemon, I'm sure I've heard it," he smirked. I then recited it.

"'When darkness sews across the land,
And time is frozen, no falling sand,
The whole world will crumble, and the sun won't rise,
When Temporal Tower finally dies,'. Does that ring any bells?" I asked, him then looking absolutely confused.

"No, that's a new one. Never heard of that one before... it must be something very old if even I haven't heard it. Maybe I should ask the Guildmaster about it. I'll ask him for you and ask him not to mention any of it," Chatot said with a frown.

"I'd appreciate it greatly if it were secret, Chatot. Thanks," I smiled at him.

"Okay, if that's all, I'll be on my way." Chatot then hopped down below and Bidoof looked at us with a smile.

"I'm so happy that I have buddies newer than me. Before ya'll came along, I was the most recent rookie... I can't wait to teach ya stuff! Ready to head to town?" Bidoof asked.

"Yes, we are. Let's get going," Kiba smirked as we then left the Guild and proceeded to go down to town. I just had to wonder if I'd meet anyone who had heard of that riddle, as it was part of the Hidden Land and it was supposed to be spread around.
