Hello, I'm back.
I always come back.
Now, for something you may or may not have been expecting.
With the upcoming Security Breach DLC coming this month, I'm doing a rewrite of Security Breach. I may not be the first person to write a rewrite, I'm gonna try to be as original with it as possible.
Five Nights at Freddy's belongs to Scott Cawthon and Steel Wool.
"When I first found you, you were nothing. You were small, pathetic, but now, you are more. Are you ready?"
"I was born ready."
"Stay the course."
"I will."
"Listen to my voice."
"I will."
"Don't let anyone lead you astray."
"I won't."
"Have you selected one?"
"I have."
Gregory is a small child who has been living in Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex for about a week now. He wears a blue t-shirt with a couple white stripes on it, and has brown, messy hair.
Gregory's earliest memory was waking up at the front entrance to the Pizzaplex. He has no memory of anything before him. He has no idea where his family is, or if he even has one.
Gregory spent the past week since then sleeping in the Kid's Cove. He loved that part of the Pizzaplex, and he usually stayed there because he has no passes or security badges, so he'll risk getting captured, and, who knows what will happen afterwards?
One night, Gregory decided to head to the atrium to see the main gang perform their nightly concert.
The announcer says, "Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Fazbear Entertainment would like you to put your hands together for the one, the only, Freddy Fazbear."
Music started blaring and the crowd started cheering. It was all loud for Gregory, but he stayed within the crowd to avoid being seen.
Eventually, the core four animatronics, Glamrock Freddy, Glamrock Chica, Montgomery Gator, and Roxanne Wolf all emerged onto the stage and started their performance. They started dancing and playing their instruments. That's when Freddy looks into the crowd and sees Gregory standing there.
Gregory couldn't help but feel something when looking at Freddy. It was… familiar.
Freddy collapsed onto the stage and the show ended early.
Gregory got curious and went to get a closer look at Freddy, but the stage lift went down.
The other animatronics saw Gregory standing there, and charged towards him.
Gregory ran off, but the animatronics followed pursuit. Gregory eventually runs out of energy, and Roxy grabs him.
The animatronics carry Gregory into another room and leave him there.
A woman in a white rabbit costume skips into the room with a knife in hand.
"Greetings, child," the lady said in a menacing tone. "It's getting late. Let's put you to bed. Good night."
The lady puts the sharp edge of her knife on Gregory's cheek and slowly scratches it.
Gregory shoves the lady to the wall and runs as fast as he can. He puts his hand on his cheek to stop the bleeding. He runs farther down the room until he's blocked off by a wall. The wall had a picture of what looked like an Animatronic Endoskeleton aiding injured children.
Gregory sees a button and pushes it, opening the wall. He continues exploring until he hears something chasing after him. He looks behind him and sees an endoskeleton standing right there.
Gregory turns back around and hears the footsteps again. He looks behind him to see the endoskeleton right there. He realizes that the endoskeleton only moves when he isn't looking at them so he keeps going, keeping an eye on the endoskeleton.
Gregory continues to open doors as more endoskeletons chase after him. He eventually makes it into a room with a desk on it. He sees a Freddy head on the desk and pushes the nose out of curiosity. The head opens to reveal a small badge.
Gregory takes the badge and sees a door to his right. He scans the badge on a panel and an automated voice says, "Access Granted."
The door opens and Gregory walks out, finding himself back in the room where the Rabbit Lady tried to kill him. He walks around with caution in fear something will try to get him. His suspicions were correct as he felt something grab him by the shoulder. He looks behind him to see the Rabbit Lady right there.
"There you are," said the lady. "Say Good Night."
Gregory smacks the knife on the lady's hand and then punches her in the face, causing her mask to come off.
The lady's face was revealed, showing blond hair in a ponytail. Gregory recognizes her as the Pizzaplex's Security Guard, Vanessa, but before he could say anything, Vanessa grabs Gregory and is about to suffocate him, when she starts screaming and putting her hands on her head as if she's suffering a migraine.
Gregory runs into a vent and crawls away.
Vanessa recovers from the migraine, now with a look of fear on her instead of anger.
Gregory makes it out of the vent and finds himself back in the area where the animatronics attacked him. He returns to the stage lift and he pushes the button. Another scan appears, and he scans. A voice says, "Access Denied, Level 4 clearance required."
Gregory carries on into the next area which appears to be the Parts and Service room. There was a cylinder which appears to be where they do maintenance on the Animatronics, and there were 4 doors behind it, each labeled with a different animatronic.
Gregory's curiosity about Freddy caused him to want to go into the door with his picture on it. He scans the badge onto the door, and the door opens.
Gregory runs down the hallway and sees and goes into an elevator. He pushes the button and goes up. He finds himself in a backstage area.
Meanwhile, Freddy was in his green room reactivating on Safe Mode. He looks in the mirror and sees there was a battery with 2 out of 5 bars of power.
"Showtime already?" he asked himself. "I'm experiencing a malfunction. The recharge cycle is not complete."
Gregory enters the room, and Freddy sees him. Freddy looks at Gregory and scans him.
"How odd," Freddy remarked. "Your guest profile is unknown to me, yet there's something about you that is… familiar. What is your name?"
"I'm G-Gregory," Gregory replied.
"Gregory," Freddy replied. "I must inform you that you can't be here at this time. The Pizzaplex is closing soon and you must be brought to your family."
"I can't," Gregory replied. "I don't know where my family is, or if I even have a family, and, I kinda see this place as my home."
"That's not a good idea," Freddy replied. "Many kids have been seen led into a backstage room by a Rabbit Lady and they were never seen again. I can only assume this lady is killing kids and by living here, you've become her next target. I promise that I will help you find your family, but we must hurry to the exit. Take this Novelty Fazwatch and climb into my stomach hatch. It's the only way to bring you to the exit without you being seen by her."
Gregory is at first skeptical about leaving, but then he thinks that if there is a chance about finding out more about himself, escaping is the best option.
"Alright," Gregory replied. "But be careful. I don't want to be twisted into a meat pretzel."
Freddy opens his stomach, revealing a small gift box inside. Gregory opens the box and puts on the watch before climbing inside. Freddy then escorts Gregory out of the room as they head out of Rockstar Row and towards the Utility Tunnels.
As they go down the stairs, they hear Vanessa's voice calling out, "Little boy, if you're down here, say something."
"It's her," said Gregory. "She's the Rabbit Lady. We have to go back."
"Don't worry, Gregory," Freddy replied. "Even if that's true, she will never suspect us traveling together. However, we must be careful. If I'm seen, I'll definitely be taken back to my room, and if that happens, we'll never make it to the exit before midnight."
Right as the two make it down the stairs, Freddy notices how Gregory has been covering his cheek this whole time. Freddy scans and notices the cut on Gregory's cheek.
"Gregory, you're bleeding," said Freddy.
"I'm fine," Gregory replied. "Just keep going."
"No," Freddy replied. "I'm taking you to the First Aid Station. I can't risk you sustaining anything worse."
Freddy quickly runs to the First Aid area nearby. Freddy has Gregory climb out. Freddy grabs some wet wipes and uses them to clean the blood where the cut is, though it did burn where the cut was. Freddy then grabbed a band-aid and put it over the cut.
Gregory climbs back into Freddy. That's when they hear footsteps.
"Gregory, be still," said Freddy. "I think she's found us."
Vanessa approaches Freddy.
"Freddy," she scolded. "You're supposed to be on lockdown."
"Vanessa," Freddy replied. "I don't know how I got here."
"Listen," said Vanessa with worry. "We're 15 minutes from closing and there's a kid roaming backstage. We need to get him out before the clock strikes 12. I've already alerted the others. If you find that kid, get him to the exit then head straight back to your room."
Vanessa leaves the room and Freddy and Gregory continue on.
"Are you sure Vanessa is the rabbit lady?" asked Freddy. "She doesn't seem like she wants to hurt you at all."
"I'm sure," Gregory replied.
The two continue on through the tunnels until Freddy just ejects Gregory.
"I'm sorry, Gregory," he said. "But the Recharge Cycle had not completed when I found you. You must continue on without me. I can still communicate with you on your watch in case you get into any trouble."
Freddy runs into a nearby recharge station and begins charging up.
Gregory is at first unsure if he can do this alone, but he persists with the objective of escaping the Rabbit Lady and hopefully finding his family.
Gregory carries on but sees Chica eating from a pile of garbage. Gregory is at first grossed out, but he brushes it off, assuming it's just a programming bug. He quickly finds a pile of cans and pushes them, making some noise, leading Chica away. Gregory uses this distraction to sneak past Chica and carry on.
Gregory continues to navigate the tunnels until he reaches a hallway with a wired gate in it. Gregory was about to go down the hallway when he heard a voice call out, "There you are."
Gregory looks behind him and sees Monty burst through the gate. Monty then approaches Gregory, but he runs as fast as he can down the hallway.
As Gregory runs, he hears Roxy call out, "Are you lost?"
Roxy was blocked behind a different gate, and Monty broke it open so Roxy could make chase as well. Gregory continues to run when Chica emerges from a pile of crates calling out, "Lost boy over here."
Gregory continues to run from all three of these animatronics, until he reaches a Security Office. The door closes but the animatronics start banging and clawing and scraping on the door.
"Don't worry Gregory," said Freddy through the watch. "Those doors are meant to keep anyone inside safe, as long as they remain closed, which they will, as long as they have ample power."
Gregory notices the power gauge on the door, which was at 15%, quickly draining because of the animatronics pounding on it.
"Freddy, I'm doomed," Gregory panicked. "The power is low and they're all pounding on the door."
"Don't worry," Freddy assured. "Do you see that button on the desk? You can access Security Protocols with it."
Gregory pushes the button and his watch beeps. He looks at his watch and is now able to view the Security Cameras with them.
Gregory sees there's a way towards the exit, so he quickly heads out through the other door and runs out of the tunnels, towards the main lobby. As he runs, he hears the announcer say, "Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for visiting, and we hoped you enjoyed the show. Freddy and the Gang are pretty tired, but will be back next week after a few days of scheduled maintenance. Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex will be closing in 5 minutes. Please make your way to the front of the building, where you'll be given Novelty Glasses, a voucher for a free soda refill, and where you'll sign a legal disclaimer releasing us of Liability for anything that may have happened during your visit. Have an awesome night, and we hope to see you again soon."
"I don't have much time left," said Gregory, as he continued running down the tunnels.
Gregory eventually makes it out of the tunnels and into the lobby. Now here, he runs to the exit when he hears the announcer announce, "Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex is now closed. Initiating Nighttime Protocols."
A big Security Door closes where the main entrance is, trapping Gregory inside.
"No, wait, I'm still here," he called out, but it was too late. "Now what am I supposed to do?"
"How unfortunate," Freddy apologized. "You missed your chance, but there's still hope. You should be able to escape when the doors reopen at 6AM. Until then, keep moving, and try not to draw attention to yourself. If there's another way out, I'll help you find it. I promise."
Gregory looks in front of him and sees Security bots patrolling the Lobby. Gregory stares with determination, with the new objective to get back into the pizzeria and find another way out.
