Chapter 1: First stage-Incubation.
In a rainy night new Domino we see a teal haired boy crying, walking down the street. This boy was named Leo who always felt like a outcast and alone. This day didn't go well for him as most of his friends heard a false rumor about them that someone spread and they all though it was Leo so they decided to all go and yell at him and stopped from being his friends. Also during that day he was suspended as he was rumored to have gone and vandalized the vice-principles office and for the rest of that day bad things kept happening to Leo but the worst thing was when he went to a meeting with the signers but after a while his own sister snapped at him for being an incompetent duelist and that maybe he shouldn't be at that meeting. Of course Leo then left the meeting and that was why he was wandering the streets crying. He eventually stumbled upon an alleyway and as he began to walk the world around him suddenly faded into black and Leo was trapped in a void of nothingness, he ran as fast as he could through the void tears streaming through his eyes, he tried calling out for help but nobody came. Eventually he fell on his knees and screamed into the endless darkness. When he looked up he still saw nothing. Leo just got up and began to walk until it seems that he would die.
"Leo." said a voice. Leo turned around and saw nothing. "Leo!" the voice boomed again. Leo looked around trying to find the voice's source, but he couldn't locate the person speaking, Leo steeled his spine and responded "Where and who are you?". "I am the one who rules the world before you."
"W-w-will you hurt me?" asked Leo. "Only if you strike me first.", replied the voice.
"What do you want with me?" asked Leo. Almost immediately two glowing magenta eyes appeared above him, "Leo, you underestimate your true part with the signers."
Leo now felt sadness along with fear, he was no signer, he was a simple boy. "Sorry, but you got the wrong person, Luna is the one-". Leo was immediatly cut off "I know of Luna, Akiza, Yusei, Jack and Crow, but you are more powerful then all of them combined."
Leo took a step back, stronger than all of them combined? No that can't be right, thought Leo. The voice spoke again, "You have the power to kill the crimson dragon itself."
Leo's eyes widened, he could kill the crimson dragon? Leo shook his head and respond "Kill the crimson dragon? Why would I do that? Tell me who are!"
The two eyes got closer to Leo, "I have many names and aliases, but I am usually known as the primal being."
"Let me guess, another alias is the king of the netherworld? Are you the thing rex tried to use on new domino?" asked Leo
The primal being chuckled "No, Rex wasn't powerful enough to truly wield my strength. I left him to play with the king of the netherworld and crimson dragon. "However, you are one of the few beings that are truly worthy of using my power! And together we can finally end that tyranny of that dragon!
"You're the tyrant! The crimson dragon cares about me!" responded Leo. However, the primal being laughed again. "You truly think he cares about you Leo? The crimson dragon only cares for his signers, he doesn't care about you. It's same the same thing with the signers, they also don't care."
Leo looked down "I-I guess you could make that argument.".
"I can bestow you the power to get revenge on all who wronged you. I could help you show your friends that you are truly above them, I can grant you everything the crimson dragon denied you!"
Leo began to think, at first he was going to refuse the offer, but then remembered the argument he had with team 5ds and what Luna did to him years ago. Leo took a deep breath, "I accept".
At that moment a glowing mark appeared on Leo's arm (The mark looks like the mark of the dragon's heart but with a magenta color). Leo then felt himself being lifted up by an unknown force and he was moving closer to the eyes, "Now Leo, Listen carefully"
*the next day*
Leo woke up back at his house to a bright morning thinking what happened last night was only a dream but he then saw the mark. A part of Leo didn't want to hide this, he wanted to open about it, but then again, the primal being wouldn't want him to reveal himself yet, Leo sighed and went into the bathroom and began to apply some ointments and lotions to try obscure the mark but the mark wouldn't stay hidden. Leo then went to wash the ointments off and as he began to dry of his arm he noticed that the mark could be obscured if a piece of clothing covered it. So Leo wore long sleeved green jacket and sure enough it covered the mark. After that Leo went to school as he got a letter saying that the real person who vandalized the office was caught. Leo and Luna were walking through the school and were suddenly stopped by Dexter and Bob.
Dexter was the first to come forward and say something, "Hey Leo, it turns out we were wrong. Apparently it was someone else.". Bob nodded "Yeah, we're really sorry about what we did."
Leo paused for a moment before taking a deep breath "If you really want forgiveness duel me for it. Two-on-one!"
Dexter and Bob looked at each other before nodding. The group then went to the school duel arena and activated their duel disks.

"Alright then Dexy, you get to go first." said Leo.
"I draw!" Dexter looked at his hand and grinned "I summon batteryman solar!"

"I'll set a card and end my turn, your turn now Bob". Bob nodded and drew his card, "I summon flamvell guard in defense position."

Leo began to slowly clap "Alright then, now to shatter any illusions of victory you have, my turn." Leo drew his card and chuckled, "I'll use eldlich the golden lord's effect from my hand, I discard it and a spell or trap to destroy a card on the field! I choose flamvell guard! Now then, I'll set this card and activate eldlich's effect from my graveyard!"
"Wait it has a graveyard effect too!" asked Bob.
"Yes it does, I destroy a spell or trap on my field to add it back to my hand, in addition to this I can special summon a zombie from hand with 1000 additional points! Of course I'll call forth eldlich!"

Luna was shocked, a 3500 attack point monster in just one turn. Not only was this deck unfamiliar to her, it was also very powerful by the looks of it.
"And now I'll normal summon Zombie master!" said Leo

Leo then looked at Bob, "Eldlich, attack Bob directly!"
"Sorry to dissapoint Leo!" shouted Dexter, "I activate the trap raigeki break, I discard a card now I can target a monster in play and destroy it, I target eldlich".
"Oh no! My whole strategy went down the drain!" screamed Leo before laughing "Just kidding, you see the zombie summoned with eldlich's effect also gets protection from effect destruction, must've slipped my mind!"
Bob's eyes widened as the attack landed.
(Leo: 4000-Dexter: 4000-Bob: 500)
Leo rolled his eyes "And since that didn't finish the job, Zombie monster attacks you directly reducing your life points to zero!
(Leo: 4000-Dexter: 4000-Bob: 0)
Luna and Dexter were shocked, Leo defeated bob on his first turn. "Well I did all I could, I set a card and I'll end my turn, but during the end phase I'll activate the effect of my eldlixir of white destiny from my graveyard that I sent with eldlich's effect! I banish it to set a golden land spell or trap from my deck. Your move Dexy."
Dexter nervously drew his card, "I activate the spell batteryman recall, I discard a batteryman to target a card on the field and destroy it, I choose batteryman solar. And now since two batteryman monsters are in the graveyard I can banish them to special summon batteryman industrial strength!"

Leo's eyes narrowed, "Wow nice monster! Anyways I activate the trap conquistador of the golden land, I special summon it as a trap monster"

"Since eldlich is in play conquistador can activate it's effect." said Leo, "I can now destroy a card, I'll pick batteryman solar!"
Dexter's eyes widened. His monster was gone and Leo had enough firepower to obliterate his life points. Dexter set a card, "I end my turn Leo".
Leo drew his card "Since it's my turn now eldlich's points return to normal."

"However, I'm not taking chances with you, I'll play Mystical space typhoon, that little facedown won't be a problem anymore. Anyways, I'll have my monsters attack you."
(Leo: 4000-Dexter: 0-Bob: 0)
Dexter cried out as his life points hit zero. Leo on the hand simply began to walk away. To say Luna was stunned would be an understatement, her brother was able to defeat two people at once in just two of his turns. The two then went to class. As the school day progressed Leo got an idea, tonight he was going to get revenge on a certain someone who nearly killed him.
*The facility a few hours later*
Leo disguised himself in a cloak and entered the facility, Leo hated the fact he needed to disguise himself more, but he was ordered by the primal being to remain hidden in the facility. He managed to evade the guards and get to the control room where he spotted Sayer's cell. From there he opened it and just as expected Sayer got out. Leo disabled all secruity cameras and opened the front gate before leaving the control room. As Sayer ran out he was intercepeted by Leo.
"Finally I can get rid of this pathetic disguise!" groaned Leo as he removed the cloak, his voice now sounded different (It sounds like wfc/foc starscream for english, and sounds like Doppio for Japanese), and his eyes were pitch black with no pupils. "Remember me Sayer?"
Sayer's eyes narrowed. "It's you, and you're a dark signer now."
Leo laughed "Yes, and now I can finally make you pay for what you did to me!"
Leo threw Sayer a duel disk and his deck which he got from the facility's confiscation room, "Now then Sayer, this is no ordinary duel, let's play a shadow game!

So I decided to write a fanfic based on Leo becoming a dark signer. If you guys are wondering why Leo, well he was so underused and was just a punching bag in the series, after all he only won against Aporia and Devack and that was with help so he never really had a win. So in this fanfic it takes the punching bag of Yugioh 5ds and turns him into something powerful. I do not own Yugioh 5ds this is just a fanfic.
Additional note: I will be remastering the old chapters, new chapters released will also be in a different format.
