First of all— English isn't my first language and Google Translate helps me a lil bit so, I'm sorry if something doesn't make too much sense.
Second— Honestly, I have no idea what I'm doing, but fuck it, it's hot.
Spike's appeared a few hours ago and he wasn't gone yet. Mr. Davenport said it was just another glitch but she was kinda worried. Bree knew how her brother felt everytime he left commando mode, so confused and helpless, sometimes even guilty if Spike did something really bad, and that was just when he's gone for minutes, now she doesn't even want to imagine how he'll feel after hours of not being him but Spike.
She didn't want that, she wanted him back.
"Chase." She called, entering the lab.
Spike was there looking bored and angry. He was locked in his capsule after breaking the couch apart and almost setting the kitchen on fire… twice.
"Chase's not here, Dollface." He spat.
Bree ignored the nickname and moved closer to the capsule, unwilling to give up on getting her brother back.
"Ok, Chase, I know Mr. Davenport said this is just a glitch and you'll be back any minute, but you've been gone for so long it has to mean something... And I might not know what it means but I'm sure you do because you always do… You're smart and clever, and I'm sure you already knew there was something upsetting you so much to the point you went commando mode, so please come back. Fight whatever is keeping you in there and come back here so things can be back to normal." She tried, but the only result she got was Spike's mocking laugh.
"Did you really think that would work? What do you think this is, a chick-lit?" he laughed again and she frowned, crossing her arms over her chest. "Although I have to admit you're smart... Compared to the buffoon of Davenport, you really knew why I came out."
Bree smiled internally, happy that her theory had turned out to be true. But still, she continued with the defiant gaze.
"So you do know why are you here? I thought you didn't know what happens in Chase's life, just like he doesn't know what happened when you're here."
Spike crossed his arms and raised his chin, in an arrogant gesture.
"Normally, I don't care what happens in the nerd's life, but he has been glitching recently… I've been out and in of this goddamn place for the past two weeks."
Bree opened her eyes in surprise.
"He's been glitching for two whole weeks? And why hadn't he said anything? Mr. Davenport could've helped him!"
Spike laughed and at this point Bree wasn't even annoyed about it anymore.
"Davenport can't help him." He leaned against the glass of the capsule, as if to get even closer to Bree. "Nerdy's fucked up."
"Don't talk about my brother like that."
"I'm just telling the truth, Dollface." Spike smirked.
"Do not call me that! You're such a pain in the butt. If I could beat you until my brother came back, believe me I'd do it."
"You really think you can beat me that easily? You won't stand a chance" he scowled.
"I thought you said you didn't fight girls," she mocked, crossing her arms.
He raised his chin again, still smirking.
"Release me and see what happens, Dollface."
She knew she would fall in his game if she opened the capsule for him, but she was mad at him and really, really wanted to have her brother back, so she pressed the bottom that unlocked the tub and went back at him to start a fight.
"Now, give me my brother back."
She raised her fists and tried to connect the punch, but Spike took both of her fists and pulled her closer to him. She hated the way Chase was growing up, it made Spike look down at her, making her feel small.
"You want your brother back?" he laughed, "Fine then" and after that… Spike kissed her. Not in a brotherly way. He pressed his mouth against hers moving his lips roughly over hers, making her gasp in surprise.
Bree was stunned. Spike was kissing her. She thought she would come to blows with him but then he had kissed her by surprise, without any warning, not a single hint that he planned to do this.
But did he plan it though? I mean, had he intentionally teased her to piss her off so she would release him from the capsule or was he really just teasing her and then he kissed her when he saw the chance?
She didn't have too much time to think about it because after a few seconds she returned the kiss. To be honest she wasn't thinking at all when she did that, she had only focused on how surprisingly well Spike kissed. She should have found it gross and rough, just as Spike was, but it was so unlike any kiss she'd ever given before. It was so possessive and demanding, yet so passionate, as if the boy couldn't get enough of her, and that made her stomach turn. She had never experienced that with Ethan or Owen, not even with that older boy who asked her to the dance that time. Making out with them had made her feel 'loved', making out with Spike made her feel wanted. It was something completely different. It wasn't just warm, it was pure fire. It was as if a current of energy ran through her entire body and then lodged in her belly. It increased in intensity when Spike released her hands and brought them up to her behind, lifting her up and sitting her on one of the lab panels. She brought her hands to the back of his neck, embracing him closer, just as he brought her closer, taking her by the waist.
The kiss was so good, but it seems like for Spike it still wasn't enough. He wanted more, he needed more. So he moved closer, trying to completely erase the distance that still remained between the two of them and then He bit Bree's lip causing her to open her mouth in surprise and slight pain, and that was just what he needed. Spike's tongue ventured into Bree's mouth causing the brunette to moan in discontent, but then she let herself be carried away by the boy again, ending in a hot dance of tongues that made her shiver more in his arms.
Spike started to work his way under Bree's shirt, whose gasp was muffled in their kiss. The girl's skin felt like seda under his fingers and her moans reasoned in his mouth driving him crazy, but to Spike this still wasn't enough. He felt he needed to feel her touch all over his body, he needed to make her scream his name, and leave marks all over her skin reclaiming her as his.
Now he gets Chase. Sort of.
Bree throws her head back when she feels Spike's lips pressing down on her neck, sucking the bare skin. This bubbling feeling just wouldn't go away, and she didn't want it to. She wanted more of it, she craved for it. The way her skin burned where Spike had touched her, the heat that pooled in her belly with every touch, the way her mind went blank with his kisses, with his caresses and with his slight bites.
"S-Spike…" she didn't want it to stop, but then it stopped.
"You said you wanted your brother back" Spike began, bursting the bubble of pleasure in which the girl was. He leaned closer to whisper in her ear— "This is why your fucking brother is pretty fucked up."
Still groggy from what just happened, Bree frowned, but as soon as she came back to her senses her eyes widened as the realization slammed her right back into reality. This, this thing that had just happened is the reason why Chase has been glitching recently, this is why Mr. Davenport can't help him, why her brother is 'fucked up'.
Spike might or might not have planned to kiss her, but he sure meant it. Chase meant it.
"Wh-what do you mean by that?"
Spike stepped back and blinked a few times before Chase said.
"Commando App Disengaged?" Chase looked around confused, but there wasn't any destruction that made him believe Spike got in trouble. At least not in the lab. "Bree what happened?"
The guy looked at his sister and saw her white as a sheet. She was sitting in the tub's panel with a shocked face and red marks on her neck. The way she looked at him made him worried, beginning to believe that Spike had hurt her or tried to hurt her before he came back.
"Bree, are you ok? Did I hurt you?" Chase tried to examine the marks on her neck but Bree moved out of his reach, covering her neck with her hair, brushing it absently.
"No, I'm fine. Don't worry" She tried not to sound nervous.
"Really? Then what's on your neck?" Chase asked with real interest. The red mark on Bree's neck looked like the beginning of a bruise, and Spike had been there only seconds ago, and nothing good happens when Spike shows up.
Although… Spike didn't hurt girls.
"It, it is nothing, just a rash a necklace gave me" Bree smiled nervously, still brushing her hair, but she refused to make eye contact.
Chase knew, after some deep talks the two of them had had, that Bree was capable of lying to him just so he wouldn't feel guilty about something Spike had done. So if he had hurt her she wouldn't tell him, all so he wouldn't feel bad about himself.
But then again, Spike didn't fight girls. He knew that because Mr. Davenport had told him so.
But how was he so sure about that?
"Bree don't lie to me, if I hurt you I need to know" Chase crossed his arms, looking slightly hurt. Bree didn't have to wonder why.
She didn't like lying to Chase (well, she did…but not when it hurt him like this) but she had no choice. She couldn't tell Chase what Spike had done… But also she couldn't tell him that Spike hurt her, because he hadn't. So she would have to come up with something, something believable enough.
"Fine…" she began, "the truth is that… Spike did try to hurt me. But he didn't because he doesn't fight girls and also because you came back." She smiled slightly, hoping he would buy that.
Chase stood for a few seconds simply observing her in silence, as if analyzing what she had just said. So he said, slightly convinced.
"How exactly did he try to hurt you?"
Oh shoot.
"He insulted me and made fun of me mainly... In fact, he annoyed me so much that I ended up opening the capsule that Mr. Davenport locked him up, just so I could beat him". Bree took a deep breath, letting the truth and lies come together little by little, working in her favor. "But he did look terrifying, so I freaked out and got up on the panel… I guess at that point you came back."
Now Chase looked like he bought that, which made her feel relieved, and Chase too. Now that he knew what had happened, and that he hadn't gone too far, he could be a little calmer.
"Fine, so I didn't hurt you."
"Spike didn't hurt me" Bree sighed. "How many times do I have to tell you? What Spike does is not your fault. It's the Commando App, it is not under your control. It isn't you."
"But he is me… Somehow", Chase sighed sitting next to her. "It doesn't seem fair for Spike to show up and do bad stuff and then just go away unpunished... At least I would have to stand up for him, right? After all, the Commando App is mine, I have to take responsibility."
Bree just stood silently watching her tormented brother. He always looked this downcast when it came to Spike. She knew that for him Spike was more than just another program in his system, He was the opposite of what Chase believed, He was that devious something that taunting him, He was the rain in his parade.
There was always that possibility that Spike would come out anytime Chase was feeling too overwhelmed, and would cause chaos and trouble, leaving Chase looking bad in front of those who didn't know about Spike (that is, everybody).
However, as bad as Spike could be, Bree knew that there were times when Spike wasn't so unbearable. Like that time that made them popular... For at least a day.
And right now… Right now, it almost seemed like Spike was doing Chase a favor by kissing her, but she couldn't be sure. Did Spike kiss her on purpose because that's what Chase wanted? Or did he kiss her because being part of Chase's system he couldn't help but have that urge? After all, according to Mr. Davenport, Spike was pure testosterone, lots of testosterone. Maybe he wasn't doing him any favors, maybe he really had the desire to kiss her.
The desire to kiss her passionately… Desperately... Furiously... Leaving marks on her neck, and caressing her with those strong arms- (maybe it's better not to go there)
That desire that came from Chase himself…
Suddenly, Bree felt dizzy again. Not like when Spike was kissing her, but rather confused.
"Hey Bree, are you okay?"
Looks like she wasn't the only one to notice her sudden sickness.
"Yeah, I'm fine" she lied again. This time was easier. "Chase, is there any chance…? Is there any chance that what you feel interferes with what Spike does?" Bree looked away, knowing she was stepping onto dangerous ground.
Chase took his time responding. He seemed nervous.
"Not sure" He didn't look back at her either. "That time with Sabrina" (for some reason, Bree felt a bit upset just by hearing this) "when Spike showed up I think he hit on her or something, I'm not quite sure. But I don't know if it was because I liked Sabrina or if by chance Spike had liked her too... But to be honest, I couldn't imagine that maniac liking something more than violence and destruction."
They both laugh.
"So… maybe there's a chance?"
"I think so" he shrugged. Then he looked at her with some barely concealed panic. "W-Why do you ask anyway?"
Bree smiled because she knew him very well. But then she wiped the smile from her, because she knew him very well. Chase's reaction was not only beginning to confirm what Spike had told her, but it was making it real. Chase seemed to 'love' her, not in the brotherly way he's supposed to.
And… And Spike had just kissed her, And it was the most amazing, sensual make-out session she'd ever had, and she knows she won't be able to get it out of her head because it was so good, even if it was with... with Spike. Somehow, his brother.
"Mere curiosity."
She gave him a smile that the two of them preferred to pretend was genuine.
"Bree, is everything ok down here? You haven't…" Mr. Davenport's sentence was cut off as soon as he walked in. He was worried Bree was taking so long down there with Spike, but seeing her sitting comfy next to the boy, he realized everything was back to normal, Chase had finally returned.
He felt a bit relieved, but not less concerned.
"Chase, you're finally back. You were in commando mode for hours."
"I know," he said in a serious mode.
"Bree, what happened? How did you make him come back?" Davenport's attention was now on the brunette.
Chase thought he already knew what she was about to say, but then she didn't.
"I didn't… When I came down here he was already Chase." She lied.
Chase watched with interest the way she kept fiddling with her hair, always brushing it to cover her now not-so-white neck. He didn't know why she had lied, but he could make himself an idea.
He could make himself a ton of ideas, none of them better than the other. No with Spike in the middle. Not with those weird red marks on her neck.
