CHAPTER START~!
A young man looked at the sky sparkling as the black night sight filled with glowing stars and the two moons he awed, "One day I'm going to be a Hero!" He swore as a girl who was sitting next to him looked confused.
Her dark blue hair nearly blended with the dark night. "What do you mean?" She asked with an odd confused look on her face on her friend's words.
The blonde child looked at his friend showing her a necklace with a white sword, "My mother told me Hero's shouldn't be needed for what she is there for. Saying that Hero's take too long to come, But~!" He dramatically started with a big grin as he pointed at himself, "But I want to show her and everyone a hero is what we do need soon! I want her to see that it's not a bad thing waiting for a hero!"
The girl gave a soft smile, "One day, Naruto." She whispered a blush faintly dusted her cheeks, before frowning at the fact she was leaving soon. "Hey, make me a promise."
"Hmm?" He turned from the sky and looked at the girl who looked up from her seat on the ground.
"Yes, once you become a hero or work with one. I promised to join, that way you can use a smart mind to help with your recklessness." She joked as the boy jumped to her level and brought his pinky to her view…to which she also brought hers up and gently locked it with the young man's.
"You bet! I promise!" The boy grinned widely from ear-to-ear.
He took off his necklace and gave it to the girl with a serious look on his face, "My mother's teacher gifted this to her, and then to me when I acquire something that only people can be born with. This will protect those we love when we hand it down…please keep it until I become a hero." He smiled gently as the girl took the item into her hands
"Alright. I will." The girl smiled softly, as she bowed her head and placed the necklace around her neck. "How does it look?"
"A hella lot better than me, ehehehe!" He chuckled as the girl held the trinket. Staring into the stars she wished this night could last forever, but one day they will reunite again and she will be happy with her time spent waiting for him. She saw Naruto and swore she saw something around him, blinking and she assumed that it was the darkness playing tricks in her mind.
"The moon is very scary…" The blonde boy whispered, his face showing a look of fear as he stared into the red moon above them.
The young girl looked up and wondered what he meant, ""The story about the goblins, living in one?"
To her curiosity he shook his head, softly gripping his left arm, "My father told me, something is always watching us there. And those who can sense its presence are the ones that it wants…" looking into the red moon, he felt something was looking back at him…as if standing behind him and doing something horrible.
"Wants… you?" The girl tilted her head in confusion. This was certainly a perplexing yet intriguing story.
"…" he closed his eyes and felt nothing around him, but opened them again. "It's nothing…" he promised as the child fell to the ground enjoying the grass. Life was boring but he will one day want it again after being a hero…

"KILL THEM ALL!" A scream slashing through women's tears, screams of protest, men's suffering screams as a whole village burns around them. A dozen men wearing silver armor obscuring their faces and bodies send monsters.
Green little sized beings swarming towards women, doing the most heinous and revolting scenes to cause screams of pleading and pain. But all the while the little beings only laugh cruelly as the sounds of cloth ripping and fleshing ripping.
"No! Stop! I don't want this!" a woman screamed in pain as tears came out of her eyes while goblins surrounded her. "NOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Women in black bat wings killed men and soon dragged them into the forest as screams of pain and death could be echoed to everyone's horror.
The leader of the armored beings chuckled, "Yes…violate the women who choose to aid our enemies! Kill the men who helped protect and serve our devils, you will all suffer for your misdeeds." He announced watching as a woman grabbed his leg as she was bruised and beaten from the damage her face shows to the being.
"Help… me…" The woman whimpered.
The man only pulled his foot away from her grasp… before to flip by kicking her side. "*Whistles* Hey boys!" He almost told a joke as the woman looked horrified at what he was implying. "You have a feisty one here~"
The woman screamed trying her best to kick some of the monstrosities off her body only for one to smash her face with its fist causing her to submit and cry as the pain and once again screaming came.
…
And the only to be spared was a child…who was forced to watch bounded and gagged hidden underneath a house crawl space with a small hole for him to see the horrors of what no child should see. Tears running down his face as the sights of people he lived with being torture, killed…raped before his eyes. He tried his best to scream, break his bounds…only to realize he couldn't.
"Commander!" A single long haired woman wearing silver armor walked down with a man who was literally disarmed. "He knows where the child is!" She roared, kicking him down, "But he won't tell me!"
The leader of the group lifted his hand, causing the screams to stop as the man looked down at the crippled man. "You hold a choice here…you tell us what our Queen wants and we'll leave, the women here will not be these things broodmothers. Your men, how many are left, will be returned…if you give us the child." He demanded the man with the choice as the disarmed man glared at him.
The child nodded begging for the man to do it, unable to let people suffer for him. The silence, save for the sobbing of women, was maddening.
The hunter looked where the child was hidden, almost making the blonde believe he locked his eyes with him."I would rather die than tell you where!" He roared as the armored man stabbed him with a sword, "Gah!"
The boy's eyes widened in horror. That wasn't what he was supposed to say!
"Hmph… defiant to the end, hm? Very well. You made your choice." The man shrugged. "Well stay here… listening to the sounds of these women crying and begging you to stop this." The blonde paled as he saw the man remove his mask to show a pleased smile. "Because… the sounds of people suffering is my lullaby. Mmh…" as if to prove his points he closed his eyes as the screams, sounds of wet flesh, and fires crackling resumed.
'Please tell them, make it stop! Make them stop!' The boy pleaded crying harder as he saw the man also crying in shame. He knew he couldn't hate the man, he told the child that they had to protect him at any cost. They even knocked him out and hid him when the attack first started…he was the reason for this attack and he only felt utter pain for his life being the reason everyone is suffering.
"Please stop…" the hunter cried, "Please he's not here…" he said before the armored man shook his head.
"You poor fool, you just don't get it, do you…" The man started as he pulled a woman in front for the man, as he watched her get violated. "You can stop this, prevent this poor girl who's barely a woman… to be another horrid creature, if you don't." He pulled her face to him with his hands on her cheeks pushing them to make her look more attractive. "She might be nothing more than this for her life. And honestly, it might be better than what you all did to her."
"Gh…!" The hunter could only grit his teeth, so much that it would chip. "He's here…" he said as the child smiled at the moment… "Come here…"
The man lifted his hands as the acts of horror stopped and the person leaned in closer,
"Where…" he asked only for the man to mumble, "What?" He asked for the man to repeat what he said but nothing was audible for the leader. He practically placed his ear near the man's mouth..
"Here!" The hunter cried leaping forward as he chomped into the leader's neck, before being stabbed by the green monsters and other armored people. He didn't release as he sank his teeth deeper before what little strength he had left pulled away to take at least the third of the man's neck!"
The leader could only gurgle and cough splatters of blood as he held his profusely bleeding neck, before falling to the ground squirting out red liquid until…he died.
The young child saw in shock as the man who kept his location hidden… was facing him. He gave a weak smile before mouthing, 'I'm… sorry…' closing his eyes and stopped moving.
"No!" The woman who brought the hunter cried, clutching the leader's body to her arms tightly. "My love! My husband Soren, please don't leave me too!" She cried trying her best to dress the wound and apply pressure only for the blood to stain her silver armor. "…ill…" she shook as the others gathered around her, "KILL ALL THE VILLAGERS!" She screamed as the others looked onto her, "The women and child will be given to the Goblins to breed or be eaten! The men to the succubus to do what they want! Tell them to burn this village to the ground! Leave nothing surviving!"
"But Lady Arabella, the child-"
"The Queen can kill me! I want to see this world burn! The child too let them all suffer!" She cried before holding onto her deceased lover, "I don't have anything else to live for…"
Soon the people gather the women and children ignoring the screams and begging for help to be given to the goblins watching them. Dragging them by their hairs or broken bodies limbs,
Lighting each house on fire the blonde watched…no longer in pain or sorrow…but rage.
As the child watched this unfold, the fires of hate and revenge stoked in his heart. Everything he knew and loved was being raped and killed by these monsters. The life that he once knew and had was over.
He stared at the flames until the sun came up, he didn't know how or when but he was able to be free from his bindings. Crawling towards the small hole he savagely punched the small chance of freedom. His hands were bloody as he continuously but slowly he was able to break from the secret hiding spot. When he broke free and into the open land, he saw nothing but destruction. Everywhere he saw was nothing but ash.
He looked at the deceased man who kept him safe, "…" squatting down he gently flipped the man over, ignoring the disgusting smell he produced as he placed his hands over his chest. Soon removed the man's necklace as he cried, "I understand… I understand… we can't wait..." He knew what his mother meant now…to wait was an act of sin. To wait means people die…
It was at this moment that he knew… he wanted to kill them all. They will feel his wrath. They will feel the same pain he felt. He will make them feel helpless and they can't do anything to stop him. He will make sure that he will kill. Every. Last. One of them!

Present Day
XXXXXXXXXX
A blonde man woke up as he cracked his neck, "…" he looked at his hands before signing softly. "How many more times must I remember that day…how more times will they remind me of my weakness?"
"Mmmh…" a feminine moan came from behind him.
He turned his head to see another person on his bed using the blanket to cover herself. 'Right…Damn habit…' he quietly moved towards the floor to pick up his clothes. Finishing everything in nearly a minute, he was already ready. Looking at a nearby mirror he saw himself. When people first see him, their first thought is always, "black," as his entire outfit was black with gray, almost silver, accents. He wore black pants with a black, leather belt around his waist that had a holster attached. He had a pair of black, leather, shin-high boots and some guards on the front that had a design etched into them tied to his legs using straps on the back of the guards. He wore a gray, long-sleeve tunic with a black vest held closed using a series of belts, all underneath an ankle-length, black trench coat that was torn up at the bottom and had a series of silver fastenings and small chains. The collar of the trench coat had a bit of flair to help protect the neck from the sun while there was a set of arm guards on top of the sleeves that had a similar design to the shin guards with a black belt tied across their torso. Finally, they wore a set of black gloves, a gray cloth bunched around their neck, and a black leather hat.
He left the room carefully so as not to disturb the female as he looked behind and spoke, "Thank you…" he whispered kindly as he closed the door. He looked at his wrist and sighed, pain was all over his body, and it wasn't from the night before. "Dammit…" He cursed, before reaching into his black leather pants to pull out some sort of vial. Stabbing to his neck he felt the needle into a vein and pushed the injection in. A liquid drained into his neck before quickly pulling out the needle.
"Ahh~" He quietly groaned to his satisfaction. His pupils shook violently before settling down, "Two more times…" he whispered as the young man looked at the tip of the point and saw a small droplet of blood. He took a moment to calm his nerves and wiped on his collar, "No more…"
The man left the hallway taking his time to reach the first floor we're he saw a elderly man on the front desk, digging into his pocket he pulled out a couple gold coins, "For tonight… and extra if my partner screamed too loud the other night."
"..." The elderly man merely nodded and took the gold coins, as if he knew his routine. The young man had been frequenting the inn, every two weeks or so he had to bring a lady, sometimes two, to spend the night with him. "You did me a favor to find my sons…" he stopped as the innkeeper took a moment to collect himself. "I can handle the complaints." He took two of the coins and passed them to Naruto, "No extra charge,"
The blonde gratefully nodded before giving it back to the man, with a soft expression on his face. "If you can, give the woman in my room food or whatever she desires. She's going to be… rather sore." The blonde haired young man kindly asked the innkeeper who promised him.
The blonde watched as the man walked to the kitchen no doubt getting the girl something akin to a feast for her body to be severely needed. The young man left the building to be greeted with the gentle morning sky, barely warm on this usual cold day on the frontier.
He breathed in the air before exhaling slowly. "Another day…" He said to himself, before walking towards his destination. People who were up at this hour, usual merchants or adventurers all whisper or steer away from him. The blonde didn't care as he was used to it, even as a child he saw the treatment of others like him, he didn't care nor wanted to correct them.
He moved towards a nearby building soon hearing metal striking metal. There was the hiss of metal meeting water as it was quickly quenched into a bucket of the cold liquid before being pulled up and hammered on again. "Working on the usual orders?" The young man asked as he reached the counter to see a short stature man currently blacksmithing a piece of armor.
He was a short, robust-looking old man with thinning white hair on his head. His right eye was closed and had a mustache paired with a beard, clad in a sturdy blacksmith apron and black gloves.
"Huh?" The man turned to see the black leather jacket wearer, "Oh it's only ya. Speak up kid, you're not mute."
"Hmph," the blonde man smiled behind his coat collar, but it faded away. "Was the order finished, Blacksmith?" He asked as the man sighed, tearing himself away from his current job and went to the counter.
"You're placing a lot of stress on my heart this past week." The man sighed as he pulled out a piece of paper. "Silver, as pure as possible. Impure Iron ore. Ten pounds of hardened copper shells." He kept listing off materials as the Blacksmith tapped the paper. "And it nearly killed my supplies of mercury and silver, you know how hard that stuff comes by here?"
The blonde nodded, he felt a little bad for the situation, "Alright, If I found any ores or contacts for them. I'll get them for this." He said as the Blacksmith smirked at that, usually people would say that to get their equipment faster, but this boy has the truth in his words, "If you really need me to look for one, send a request to the Guild. Tell them to get me and pay with that." He pointed to a small short sword, it was cheap but enough for the payment of the job.
The short man crossed his arms, nodding to the idea. "Fine by me. But this one's gonna cost ya a hefty amount of coin."
"I already paid, even extra for the rarity of the materials." He said as the man waved it off, placing a box that Naruto gave him to place them in. He opened it to show the jacket wearer what was inside and took one in his hand. "Hmm, nice. No residue around the casing, nor any flaws."
The blacksmith gave a grunt of disgust, "Bah, don't take me lightly. Even with the lightest and vague words of how to make a weapon, it's too easy for someone at my level. Though you were not joking about the process being dangerous. I nearly lost my eyes." He said looking at the item with some worry before placing the top of the box back on.
"Well, it's a good thing you still have them." The blonde man stated. "But remember to burn the paper, if any of my people learn you have this… death is a blessing they will not give." He explained as the man merely took the slip of writing and placed it on his forge where it burned instantly. "And don't worry, I'm going to have my workshop of sorts soon, don't expect me to ask you to make this again."
"Very well." The blacksmith nodded. "Will there be anything else?"
"No, wait…" he turned his head before he left. "Did you see any of my people here as of late?"
The man nodded, "Aye, rather cocky brats who came by to find a lead on something." The blonde nodded and left, "Be careful kid…" he muttered knowing the blonde and his fellow people are not on the best terms now.

After walking further more, he found himself in front of Guild Hall. This was the place where all Adventurers would take on Quests to slay certain monsters or any other kind of odd jobs they may have posted. Once completed, they can earn their money and possibly extra rewards to go with that.
He saw only a few adventurers who usually take care of morning tasks like patrols or recon duties, he saw someone he was accustomed to seeing, "Guild Girl…" he announced when seeing her.
The woman behind the counter smiled as she brightened up and lost the tiredness in her face when he came to her. This 'Guild Girl' had yellow-gold eyes and light brown hair which is woven into braids. She is usually seen wearing her guild uniform which consists of a yellow jabot, white dress shirt covered by a navy vest, a long black pencil skirt, and a three-strap black belt.
The Guild Girl looked up from her book and smiled brightly, "Hey there, Naruto! You're early today." He chuckled as the woman never had a problem saying his name as the young man shook his head.
"Had a…restful night." He said before noticing a sweet smell, "Perfume?" He questioned.
"Uh… yeah, it's Popuri…" The Guild Girl blushed.
"Po…puri?" The blonde named Naruto repeated before nodding. "It seems nice…"
"Uh… thanks." The woman smiled bashfully as the young man looked at the posted stuff at the wall. Nothing really interesting for his usual stuff, not even decent monsters to kill even the weaker ones aren't posted yet.
"Hm… there's not much." Naruto noted as the woman nodded softly as she looked embarrassed at the sight.
"O-Oh, uh yeah. Sorry. All the other good ones were taken or still pending. And the Guild Master is- Ah Naruto?!"
He didn't do anything but wave at her when the young man moved across the counter to where her boss was at, "I got words with him, be right back." He said as he did for the usual mornings he came like always, although this was the first he saw her this early. "He gives me permission to come, so stay there." Entering the backroom he saw three people, two more women who flinched at the sight of his arrival while the only male looked and smiled kindly at Naruto.
"You're rather early." The man noted as Naruto approached him.
"The ones who didn't return…" he demanded, his eyes showing concern as the Guild Master didn't lose his smile, but nodded, taking a stack of papers. "Seventeen…" he realized looking at the number of papers from just a glance. "How long have they been gone?" Naruto inquired with a glare at the man.
"...Only a week." He said as he looked at another stack of papers nearby, "Those are the ones yesterday, nothing yet. We already sent collectors on those first ten papers so the other seven are nearby."
The blonde man took the papers and briefly scanned each one, quickly reading them from left to right, before moving to the next sheet. He repeated the process before he read through all of them. This was his job… someone had to give these people peace, "Any news on… people of my kind?" He asked, almost showing a look of relief when the man shook his head.
"As of late no rumors or requests have said anything." The guildmaster told Naruto truthfully as the young man looked at his gloves, there you can see a symbol of some unknown origin there. "I'll be back quite soon…"

TWO HOURS LATER
XXXXXXXXXXX
Soon the young man returns, now the guild slightly full as he enters the area with a large sack. He gently placed it over the counter as he saw Guild Girl looking at him when he gave a curt nod, "Tell him this was all I can look for." He promised as the young man saw someone enter the building that caused the usual talking and bragging down to zero. "Oh he got here?" He mumbled as he saw the person that caused everyone to be silent.
The man Naruto saw wore grubby leather armor with chainmail underneath paired with his signature cheap-looking helmet with broken horns on the side that envelops his head entirely in protective metal.
Though the grimy appearance combined with his down-grade equipment has, on more than one occasion, caused people to mistake him for an undead. "Goblin Slayer…" The beings turn to see the black leather clad man address him.
"Hunter…" He said back evenly, as if stating the fact rather than a greeting. "You're back?" He mentioned as Naruto nodded.
"Yesterday. I had to deal with things." He proclaimed ignoring the others muttering on what it could be. "Might I join you on your quest?" Naruto asked politely as the man stood still as if processing his words. "I only-"
"Hunt Goblins." The blonde finished for the man as he only nodded making sure the Hunter knew what he meant.
…
"Very well…" He said as the Hunter watched Goblin Slayer walk off towards the Guild Girl to request, like Naruto she was smiling and kindly told him what was going on.
"The bastards are made for each other." A burly Ax-Raider said from behind Naruto, "A Silver Adventurer who only kills Goblins and his best friend the crazy Hunter." He chuckled as his friends also shared a laugh. "Both are going to save lives~ Save a village from a rampaging stampede of theirs! What kind of hick place-"
*CRASH~!*
The man gulped as he saw Naruto fist break a nearby table with barely no effort as he looked at the Guildmaster who only looked partially annoyed at that display. "...Take it out of my usual fee…" Naruto apologized as he lost his cool. Before he saw people move away from him, "..." He wanted to yell…he wanted to punch that man near death…but it wouldn't do anything in the long run.
"Ready." The Silver Ranked adventurer said from Naruto before noticing the table. "...Your hand ok?"
"No harm." Naruto declared before they moved, leaving the building as the blonde spoke softly. "Anyone who took the jobs before us?"
In the world they live in, to make a decent living you need to get past the usual dead-end jobs to get stronger. But that risk comes with greater pains and flaws…Naruto knew that too well considering his past. The fact of the matter, everyone in their lives will believe 'We can do this', 'This is going to be easy', 'And I face them before so it's no problem!', only to lose their lives easily.
"One did…" Goblin Slayer said and no other word came out.
Naruto sighed as he felt this was not going to be beneficial in the long run. "Okay." He muttered, as the two kept walking. "Mind if we head to them first?" he asked as the Goblin Slayer nodded in agreement, "Let's go, the faster we do this…the faster we multiate those little horrors."
Soon both him and Goblin Slayer picked up their pace slightly, the two infamous adventurers in their town rushing to do their usual work. Exterminating Goblins with extreme prejudice…
By the time they reached the cave the Hunter already got his fears proven, "I smell…death." He whispered as the young man noticed the area around them, the entrance was littered with four young adult footprints. "No doubt they're dead." He concluded as the two took their time to enter the cave…
"STOP!"
"IT HURTS!"
The blonde eyes filled with quiet rage as he took out his weapon. In his hands was a rustic rectangular saw, wrapped with bloody bandages to hide certain writing on the metal's side. Connected to the weapon was a wooden handle nearly the same size as the blade itself, wrapped with the odd mixture of both rough bandages and brass wiring to keep the user grip in place. The weapon was made in an odd way as if the only way to swing it would be barely a quarter foot away, due the strong design of how it was so compact. On the point where the saw and wooden handle met was an odd little metal device that kept in place.
He clenched his teeth as his grip tightened on the handle. He wanted to scream into the cave but his instincts told him to fester the hate and fury in his soul.
"M-Merciful Earth Mother…"
They saw her…someone was beyond the rolls of the God's…a girl, perhaps a few years younger than him, she was slightly away from a red haired wizard who had a red pool of blood in her chest, which he noticed was a rather large crude stab. Two Goblins disgusting monsters that almost look like old men the size of a child roared at two new arrivals. Jumping towards them Naruto merely lifted his weapon before using his rectangular saw to cut them without difficulty and without remorse, all with a cold stare of death. If one would look into his eyes, they would start to fill with utter joy as the blood seemed to flow into Naruto's eyes.
Goblin Slayer also took down two more that tried to get the jump on them from behind, easily bashing one's head with his shield while the other eye was burned from the torched they used before slitting the neck easily. The two made sure they were alone before looking at the two survivors, Naruto seemed to see the air as he smelled urine and fear. He dared not address the issue as he saw the red haired girl nearly nude from when the Goblins were going to enjoy what little warmth she had left.
"Drink this…" Goblin Slayer ordered the blonde girl as Naruto turned to her. She was…a Priestess. Someone, obviously a woman, who worships and preys for the Earth Mother. A goddess that he once heard many believe in town, although he wasn't sure as religion wasn't something he could practice…even if he wanted to. But this Priestess is a young woman with long blond hair and blue eyes. She is usually seen wearing white robes over blue garbs, both laced with golden outlines and wielding a golden-colored staff decorated with blue jewels. It was an odd sight, seeming like a lovely girl in this disgusting hellhole… so lovely…
"Tch, damn Blood." He whispered as the girl realized the realization of being saved.
"Who are you two?" She asked as Goblin Slayer pulled his weapon from the carcass of the Goblin.
Naruto spoke as his companion only said 'Two', "He is known as Goblin Slayer," The Hunter said before he pointed at himself, "I am Naruto, The Hunter-" he saw the girl's look of surprise at his name before raising a hand. "Worry about that later," he moved towards her as he saw her left shoulder was hit badly with an arrow. "You're a rookie…" he saw the Porcelain colored tag around her neck, indicating she was either just starting out.
"Um… yes," The Priestess answered, looking away, as if she were ashamed of having rank.
Her eyes wandered to see, just barely, underneath his jacket was a Silver Rank tag before turning to see Goblin Slayer walking near them to also have one. Two silver-ranked adventurers, with third highest ranking, meant they were veterans on the battlefield. "Gah!" She suddenly cried as Naruto mercilessly ripped the arrow off her body, falling to her side the girl
"Sorry, but it had to be quick…" Naruto apologized, "Drink that antidote Slayer gave you, it will stop the poison." He said as the Holy woman looked shocked at the news.
"Give one to her too, please!" She cried as both males shook their heads.
Naruto stood up as he and Goblin Slayer moved to the dying girl. it didn't take a Hunter to see that the girl was a goner. The poison wasn't a problem, even if it was this far in her system, but the problem was the blood, whatever blood that wasn't being afflicted by the venom was pouring out of her. She didn't have much time to live.
"Kill…me…" The Wizard begged with the last of her strength.
"Sorry…" Naruto whispered to the dying girl, he held her neck down as the Slayer of Goblins bent down and made a careful, almost gentle, insertion of his weapon into her neck. They all watched in dreadful silence as the girl's eyes widened on her killing blow, soon what little life had in her eyes faded away. To show that these two gave her kindness in such a horrible situation. Ignoring Priestess's words that they could have saved her, Naruto discreetly inserted six vials in the Wizards body, slowly pulling them out and kept them hidden from his two fellow adventurers' eyes.
"I hate this…" Naruto seethed bitterly, he had to steal what little non-tainted blood for his use later on, but Goblin Slayer merely stood up as if the act of mercy killing wasn't a problem.
The being stood ready as he turned to the girl, "Who was in your party?"
"T-There… were two others… but…" The Priestess bowed her head down.
"They're dead or will be by the time we get to them." Naruto muttered as he stood up, his weapon clenched with his hand once more. "However we can avenge them, I know your faith doesn't see that as a virtue…" Before his other hand took out another weapon the girl had never seen before but the darkness obscured its form. "Luckily…it is mine…"
Goblin Slayer didn't say anything before looking at the blonde female again, "Any Goblins that were huge?" he asked as the girl nodded, shivering in fear at the recent memory of what transpired not too long ago.
"I believe so…however," She started as the quiet of the three members nodded to himself.
He looked at the blonde who also returned the gesture, "Hobgoblin," Slayer announced as the girl paled at the name before nodding. "Most likely the other Goblins took it as a guard when they ventured here…We're going to kill all of them, what will you do?" He asked, waiting for her answer before making any other ones.
"I'll go with you…" The Priestess announced despite the fact that she disgrace herself on the first adventure, she couldn't let her team die like that…not when she can still try.
"There's a chance you'll die." Naruto said bluntly.
There was silence, yet the girl did not reply or deny it as it was enough for the Hunter. He laid out the facts, and was alright for her to join them. "Anything to offer to this party?" He asked as Goblin Slayer turned his head slightly to also catch what she said.
"I can heal your wounds and use the Holy Light blessings to illuminate the darkness."
"How many times?" The wither armored man asked as the girl lowered her head in shame.
"Three…but I just…" She turned to where the Wizard's body was nearby and continued on with her tone full of shame. "Only…have two more times."
Naruto's eyes narrowed at that…no doubt she tried to heal the body when the poison was still in. Normally it could work if the body wasn't trying to poison as well as being stabbed. All she did was prolong her pain. The fact Blessings and Spells were only few showed how dangerous it was to be a spellcaster or even a cleric. Once you're out of spells you're abilities drop to near zero, to believe in such beings like the-
"Then don't waste them." Goblin Slayer declared cutting Naruto from his thoughts as he almost started to show his true nature. He had to keep it under control, he wasn't with other like minded people and had to keep his judgements to his own. "You?"
Naruto lifted his left hand, "About twenty over here. My weapon is good for this cave, s'long as I don't use its other form." He explained as the Goblin Slayer took a moment to be silent and spoke once more.
"Very well." Goblin Slayer nodded, then took out a large stick, the tip having been wrapped in cloth before finding two stones to strike against each other, creating sparks that latched onto the cloth, which then set ablaze, making a makeshift torch. He passed it to the Hunter who easily took it…before moving towards the nearest goblin, and had his hands enter its flesh.
"W-What are you doing?" Priestess cried as she saw the man pulling out flesh between his hands and slowly wringing it out to watch blood spill out.
"Goblins have a keen sense of smell," Goblin Slayer declared as he stood up with tons of Goblin blood lather in his hands. "We need to keep your human scent with this, to prevent them from noticing us."
"T-That's-"
"It's the only effective method." Goblin Slayer continued as he turned to the girl…who took a step back at the idea of what he was really saying.
"No wait, you can't possibly-" The Priestess's complexion paled at the mere thought.
XXXXX
The Hunter looked in front of the girl as he took the rear, making Goblin take the lead. The poor girl was possibly going to have nightmares, losing her comrades and being forced to wear the blood of a monster to hide her smell was going to take time to get over it. However the smell was making him… famished to be honest. The group saw something that made Priestess horrified to see… the remains of a teen boy… the only reason Naruto could tell was the face that was spared from damage was able to tell him that much…even if it's barely a quarter portion. His hand was almost a yard away along with any trace of anything that belonged to him.
"Too late…" Naruto muttered, kneeling next to the corpse and examining it, before tasting the blood, "Poor kid blood taste of fear…" He whispered to himself feeling the subtle taste of that sensation, soon he saw why there was a mix of shock… the young man took in his hands a long sword. Barely lifting it over his head, a small scrap was made, the idiot didn't realize he would lose his grip when the blade hit the short ceiling. And-
"Blurg!"
The young saw the poor girl throw up, unable to stomach the sight of what appears to be the boy's bowels that was nearby, "Goblin Slayer." Naruto lugged the blade to the man who took a moment to look at it.
"Too long to swing in caves effectively." The man declared as the girl who finished her puking looked at the two.
She couldn't understand how they were surrounded, "How did this happen to us?" She begged as the Goblin Slayer merely lifted his hand, where Naruto soon pointed.
"You were attacked at the back…" he soon showed the fire, illuminating the back of where they came from to show a second tunnel just hidden in the shadows. "In the cave you rely on a torch, so you never think to take a second look behind yourself, even more so when that caught your eye." He tilted his head to show an odd stick and bone effigy where they saw entering the attack. "The Goblins have good eyesight even in the darkness. They counted on your blunder to attack both sides easily."
"That's-"
"They're not the brightest of creatures, but they're not complete fools either." Naruto added before he continued, "The fact is all creatures who can attack aren't stupid, you just underestimated them." His words shocked Priestess as the words both Fighter and Warrior said about the Goblins, how easy the task will be… and felt like her world became larger only to make her feel smaller in the process. "But the next time you know not to let a small insight like that pass you by." He said cryptically as Goblin Slayer spoke next as the two ready their weapons.
"As you can see, that obstruction is the work of a Shaman."
"A shaman?" The Priestess inquired.
He turned his head to the girl as the next words were for her own sake than his, "Listen, as the Hunter told you, Goblins aren't the brightest creatures, but they aren't complete fools. Powerful Spellcasters who often lead other Goblins, no doubt the attack was its own teachings it guided its kind." In a sudden burst of movement the slayer of these foul creatures took Naruto's torch, ignoring a boring 'hey…' and tossed it behind them.
…
The two adventurers swiftly dashed where they saw the light barely showing a shadow's foot, both swinging their weapons at low angels to behad or stab into the heads of two Goblins. "Ten…" Goblin Slayer counted as they were halfway there at this point.
The blonde female looked almost disturbed as two males pulled the monster's bodies to where she was, "Can you two see into the darkness as well?" Watching Naruto nod while Goblin Slayer shook his head.
"Practice." was their own only answer as the girl felt a little bit of sweatdrop on the back of her head at the empty answer. Pulling the bodies on top of each other they began to get ready, Priestess looked worried when Goblin Slayer left his sword in the goblins stomachs when stabbing their bellies to keep them in place. "What about your sword?"
"We're leaving it, too much blood to hold on to it correctly." he spat out as he took a weak looking spear into his hands. "This was a scout, the rest are at the bottom." he concluded as they saw a tunnel that slanted downwards.
Grabbing another two pieces of wood, he tied ropes tightly on both ends before hammering the wooden stakes down into the rocky ground.
Naruto at the same time took out a bell, "Madman's Hearing…" He whispered as he rang the bell as the Priestess heard nothing…but noticed Naruto's face contorted with rage and disgust, "Six girls…"
The girl realized watching them…they were far too used to this. The fact they kept calm despite the death and darkness around them made her realize that…there was honestly something either wrong or broken in them. But choose not to speak it…as she must be the same to continue to be here where most would flee. "Get ready." The two told her as she moved fast but to make sure to also not make too much sound.
"Yes sirs." She whispered following them to where they will end this battle, they went into the tunnel squating as they took their time walking down until what seemed like forever the full armor man stopped.
He turned to the girl, "Use the Holy Light here. Once you do, run towards the entrance and don't wait for us." The man ordered as the girl gave a simple 'yes' in return, he turned to Naruto who had a glass vial in his lips, the tip into his teeth as he gave a savage smirk!
"Yes sirs." The Priestess nodded, before closing her eyes and held her staff out. "O merciful Earth Mother, please bless us, the wanderers in the darkness, with holy light! Holy Light!"
In a mere instance, the staff glowed and shined a bright light in the darkness of the cave. There were sounds of screeching, most likely from how bright the light was emitted from the staff. Goblin Slayer and the Hunter wasted no time to use their blindness as their opportune moment to strike.
"Six. One hob and one shaman…" Goblin Slayer counted as he rushed ahead. The shaman goblin uttered some archaic yet crude language as it pointed its staff at him and electricity crackled from the tip of its staff.
"I'll get at least two!" Naruto said, pulling out his left weapon, eyes turning red as everything seems to slow down. 'Shaman will be stabbed by Slayer, these won't be enough to stun the fat bastard… so…' In his hand was a large silver cylinder with engravings of beasts around the outer layer, underneath the silver barrel was red colored wood. And the handle was wrapped in tattered bandages noted by the discoloration of them, that it had been used for some time. The handle that was in Naruto's hands had a silver piece like his weapon had, what seemed like lighting for everyone, was something slow for Naruto.
BOOM! BOOM!
"Move back!" Naruto shouted as two of the goblins, who were still on top of the girls nearby, heads exploded causing the remaining ones to give chase as well.
"Fall back!" Goblin Slayer ordered as the light faded and used this time to bolt out of there.
"Let's go, up and at 'em!" Naruto said, as he suddenly grabbed the Priestess and held her under his arm and made a run for it.
"H-Hey!" The Priestess cried out, by the sudden action, but looking at his face the sheer thrill of the chase was making him enjoy everything! She realized he jumped when he let her go and turned her- The plan! "O merciful Earth Mother, please bless us, the wanderers in the darkness, with holy light! Holy Light!" She quickly recited the words as the Hobgoblin reached them, the spell thankfully came at the time he was about to notice the trap, sight totally blinded at the light it stumbled forward about to crush the girl.
"No, you don't!" Naruto pulled the girl as his companion stabbed his weapon into the fat Goblin's head instantly killing it, Naruto then passed him a glass vial of brown liquid, easily pouring it on the carcass of the monster.
"Are you okay?" Naruto asked the Priestess, who blushed at his close face near her own.
"Yes… but… I can't use the Holy Light anymore." She answered worried about being useless in this fight for life and death.
"That's fine. We have other alternatives." Goblin Slayer said, continuing to pour the liquid over the dead corpse. He then looked to see the two goblins that came after them. "See ya." he said, before kicking the dead Hobgoblin towards the smaller ones, rolling and tumbling along the cavern floor and subsequently knocking them into the smaller goblins, coating them in the same brown liquid as well.
Naruto then aimed his gun at the corpse. "Boom…"
*BOOOOOOOM!*
"Thirteen…" "Fourteen." Goblin Slayer and Naruto muttered as they saw the other goblins being burned down.
"What was that?" The Priestess asked.
"Gasoline." Naruto said before looking at the girl, "A friend made it on my request, although not worth the price for what others sell it." He murmured, ignoring when Goblin Slayer easily killed two more Goblins behind them.
"B-But… the kidnapped girls…!" The Priestess pointed out.
When Goblin Slayer finished his kills he spoke up, "The fire won't spread that far out, if it's just two or three corpses."
"Missed one…" naruto lifted his left arm and pulled the trigger to cause the blonde girl to scream in pain as the loud sound came from his silver item, turning she saw a goblin blasted into the wall with a small hole in its head. She realized it had its back show, most likely going to escape…
"Not bad." Goblin Slayer commented while the Priestess looked at the odd device at the blonde hunter's hand.
"What…is that?" She questions as Naruto places the weapon into his jacket showing a small loop made especially for it.
"Nothing just a Hunter's tool, just like everything else." Naruto answered the girl.
"Are you going in again?" The Priestess asked the two high-ranked adventurers.
"No." The Goblin Slayer answered, as he picked up a stone ax from the ground that used to belong to a goblin. All of a sudden, a few more goblins showed up and tried to get the jump on him, but it proved futile as he had already heard them coming, and was expecting them to attack him from behind. He then proceeded to hack into the remaining goblins with the stone ax, the last goblin's fate being having that stone ax lodged into its head. "Eighteen…"
The three walked down the tunnel, as the girl had to use her mouth to breathe to ignore the smell of burnt flesh. There when she saw someone Priestess thought she would never see again, "Fighter!" She cried rushing to a nude girl who was a dead-eyed drool escaping from her mouth…small whimpering and shivering from the short ordeal she had to endure. "It's okay… you're going to be okay now…" She said, as she struggled not to cry.
The blonde looked between her legs and felt awful, so much blood that made him sicken at the sight for once in his life. Soon he heard the sound of Goblin Slayer breaking a chair nearby and saw a wooden door…and Naruto walked up his eyes alight with amusement as he prepared his saw.
"Well I'll be damned." Naruto said, as the Priestess looked over their shoulders and gasped. In front of the three were four baby sized Goblin's, but they weren't the same as the ones they killed.
"Children?"
"They multiply fast. If we had waited longer, there would've been fifty and would've attacked. You were lucky." Goblin Slayer said, as he reached for a large club and approached the baby goblins.
"Are you… going to kill them?" The Priestess asked with dread.
"Of course I am." Goblin Slayer answered. "Those who survive will learn from their mistakes and adapt. There isn't a single reason to let them live…"
"Besides…it's fine…" Naruto whispered, adjusting his coat to show a savage grin that struck fear into the children, as if the devil appeared before them, "They kill… they only know sadism…and more importantly. They always start the pain first…"
"You would kill even good goblins?" The Priestess asked once more.
The two paused for a moment, but the Slayer spoke, "Hm… I suppose there could be one if you looked really hard. But in the end, the only good goblins are the ones who never come out of their holes."
"And if they did…" Naruto started raising his saw, "None of them deserve to be alive in the first place!" His smile grew as he saw one of the children taking a small stone before rushing towards the two humans! "EVEN THEIR CHILDREN AS WELL!"
Priestess stood there…screams of children dying caused her heart to shatter, the laughter of sheer enjoyment as the blonde Hunter enjoyed every second of it, the blunt sounds of broken bones and blood spilling, it was too much for her already damaged soul to bear. She fell to her knees as she cried into her arms, the cruel world showing her the truth about the adventures that no one told…the truth about the ones who don't survive.
After what seemed like an eternity, Goblin Slayer and the Hunter came out of the hidden caves, blood dripping on their weapons as it trailed across the rocky ground while walking away.
You can see Goblin Slayer's left eye glowing red behind his helmet, while Naruto's deranged smile as his right eye glowed a deep blue.
"That makes twenty-two…"
"Hmhmhm…" Naruto soon held back his laughter as he turned to the man, "I'll take them back and meet you for the others later." The girl saw Naruto placed a hand on her shoulder, she felt fear thinking of his smile…only to see a concerned look on his face. "...Stay here with your friend…" He whispered softly as the girl felt better as she did so, moving to Fighter's side to speak softly to her.

They say it's a common occurrence
Goblins attacking nearby villages and kidnapping the girls
As Priestess words echoed, Naruto driving a carriage full of the violated girls and Fighter, looked back with concern as their lifeless looks had made him sad. Before taking a note to talk to them himself in the near future.
A party of rookies going out to slay Goblins only to be the ones slaughter instead
The rescued girls who survive join the temples due to their despair after being treated by the Goblins as their playthings.
Naruto saw Fighters eyes but noticed her hands were gripped into tight fist, not from fear but from rage. A small smile creeped on his face before snapping the reins to make the horses faster…he could save her soul at least.
An adventure losing all of their comrades and going home, never to be seen again
All of these things happen everyday…in this world.
But is it really true?
I don't have an answer…but in the end I can count on two things for certainty. The first I am an adventurer, The other…

A day went by as Naruto walked into the guild hall, as he carried a large case to the counter, "I got it." He said as Guild Girl nodded and allowed some of the stronger male guild members take it from him, "It was all I can find for both the Female Wizard and Warrior Kid." Naruto announced that he has been doing this since he got here. Whenever he could, he would be able to help the Guild and the families of the fallen Adventurers, by finding anything to send back. It was rather good work, but all he needed was enough to pay for some bread. The rest were sent back to the families for a decent funeral to bury their loved ones.
"Thank you… I'm sure the families will greatly appreciate it." The Guild Girl nodded sadly. It was an everyday occurrence, but it didn't make it any less painful when a life is taken away. The fact Naruto was the only person in the whole town of adventurers who did this, everyday no less, made her heart go to him.
"If I couldn't even find a drop of blood… I'm sure my mother would disown me." Naruto fondly said as the girl looked shocked at the news of his past, but soon gave a narrowed eye look at what she realized he said.
"You shouldn't say things about yourself." She said before they noticed Goblin Slayer walking in, "Oh Mister Goblin Slayer."
"Still alive," Naruto waved to him, but a smirk gave the Guild Girl a small giggle at the rare sight of Naruto acting normal at someone. The three converse, or rather two of them tried to with the stoic one-
They stopped their talking to see someone Naruto was sure to never see again, "You…" he said, stunned when the Priestess walked towards them, not hardened at least a bit. But still almost innocent as they saw her, "Still here?"
The girl gave a nod before bowing her head to thank the Hunter for his help, "Thank you, Hunter…I mean mister Naruto." She said as the name that the Hunter told her was still odd for her to say, she then turned to Goblin Slayer as she did the same. "And you as well, Goblin Slayer."
The girl lifted her dress, shocking Naruto and almost earning a blush until he saw metal chainmail underneath it. "Uh…I bought chainmail, like you suggested."
"...I see."
As Goblin Slayer was confused by why she talked to him, Naruto gave a smile back to her. The Hunter felt a bit happy to be proven wrong. This girl had fears like him, but didn't break…she grew.
"Are you two going to work together again?" She asked as Naruto shrugged almost casually.
"Depending on if the guy is able to find a Goblin request or not, I'm solo-ing today." He said as the Salyer turned to the girl saying something that Naruto didn't expect.
"Are you coming?"
Despite the girl unable to see the face of Goblin Slayer, nor the full face of the Hunter Naruto, she gave a cheerful smile full of determination…
"Yes!"
