A/N: This is not an original story by me the original was - Seeds of Lemon by LoverofLemons. It was incomplete and the author gave permission for anyone interested to continue the story. And so I'm going to do just that with my own changes to the story.
Chapter 1: Planting the first seed
"Stupid Anbu. Why did they have to trash my house while looking for me?" Naruto said as he put the final nail on the board to cover the hole in his floor. He was not having a good day. He failed his exam for the third time, ended up stealing an important scroll, almost got himself and Iruka killed, and to top it all off, learned that he had a demon fox inside him. "Oh… That's right, the Anbu destroyed my home to get back at the fox." Little did Naruto know that this was due to the severity of the crime he had committed. If the Anbu had caught him things would have gone in a much different way. Even though the Anbu weren't dumb and blind unlike the villagers, they had a job to do and no personal feelings for the young jinchuuriki would stop them from treating him like any other criminal. With one last strike, the hole was covered up. "All right *thump, thump* Feels strong en- *crack* -ough? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Was all he screamed until he finally hit the ground. "Ouch! Oh man… Where am I?" Looking around, all Naruto could see was darkness except for the hole he fell through… Which went so high up he could barely see anything. "What the hell?! I wasn't living on the ground floor so how am I so far underground and didn't pass by any other floors?" Just then a flash of light appeared and Naruto was finally able to see what was around him. He was in a barren field. No other plant was there to be seen except grass. And how grass grew underground was not a question on Naruto's mind right now. Another flash and then there was a bag by his feet with a letter. "Ok, this is getting weird." Slowly, Naruto picked up the bag and then began reading the attached letter.
"Greetings young Naruto! I am the God of Lemons. Now that you are legally an adult in the ninja world, I will now give you a personal gift. Please open the bag now." Deciding why not, Naruto opened the bag to reveal… A seed? He returned his gaze to the letter for some answers and continued reading. "Now this seed is not a regular seed. It won't grow into a tree, but it will grow into a lemon in one night. And when eaten by a female, she will show unconditional love and devotion to you. All you have to do is plant the seed and water it. However, the water needs to have some of your blood in it. Not much, just a drop in the water can that I've provided with water. I filled it up this time but you have to fill it up next time. I'm the lemon God, not the water God. In the morning, a fully grown lemon will be yours to take. Have a female take a bit of it or drink its juice or whatever. As long as whatever food or drink you make has some of the lemon in it, they will forever give you the love that you never had and will always want to be by your side. Don't worry; I made sure that it won't affect any males. Enjoy!"
"Mmm, I don't have anything better to do so might as well." With that said, Naruto cleared a patch of grass and removed the single seed from the bag and placed it in the dirt and covered it up. Then after picking up the watering can, he bit his thumb till it bled and put a single drop of blood in it before pouring the entire content into the dirt covering the seed. "I've heard of having a green thumb, but it looks like I have a red thumb."
With the can empty, Naruto began to return to his room. "Um… How do I get out of here?" Just then the ground quaked and a wooden platform appeared with a letter on it. "Another one? Oh well." Picking up the note, Naruto read the content. "Please step on the platform. This will take you back to your room." Stepping on the platform, it started to rise into the air until he was finally back in his room. As an added bonus, the platform covered up the hole perfectly. Looking back at the note, there was still more written on it. "Now to return to the garden, stand on this platform and perform this hand sign." Looking at the diagram, Naruto took on a look of confusion as it was a hand sign he had never seen before. The left hand had the thumb and forefinger making a circle while the rest of the fingers were in the air, making an OK sign. The right hand only had the forefinger extended and in the middle of the hole while the rest were still balled into a fist.
"While this was fun, I need to get to bed. I may have 4 days until the team selections are made, but I am dead tired. And the sooner I sleep, the sooner it'll be morning and my lemon should have finished growing." Changing into his nightwear, Naruto went to bed. As he was catching his much needed Z's, down below the seed began to transform.
