Dunno if anyone has ever done a System or Fate Crossover for Kiseki, but since I was feeling rather motivated from all the shit I've read, I decided to contribute to the pile of works in the Crossover section. This is purely self-indulgent, so if you hate these kinds of stories, then eh. You do you, pal. Anyway, I'll probably take in suggestions for stuff that happens in the future, With that, it's time for the chapter! Whooosh!

Everywhere I looked, all I could see was an endless sea of darkness. It was completely black.

No, seriously, I couldn't see anything. Everything was pitch black. If I tried moving my limbs around, they felt like weights were wrapped around them. I'm starting to think I'm in a sort of void or something. This wouldn't be so unpleasant if I wasn't freezing to death.

Wait... To death?

I felt a memory flash across my mind as a sharp pain spread throughout my whole being. It felt like a wave of kinetic energy crashed against my body, crushing my bones and organs into a mushy paste. Feeling nauseous was not enough to describe the horrid sensation that filled my senses.

If I could throw up, I would.

I died... to a damn truck?! I-Is this... hell?

I wasn't particularly a good person nor did I go out of my way to commit nefarious deeds. That said, I couldn't exactly say I was going to heaven. Though, this place doesn't look like hell either. Shouldn't there be... I don't know— more fire? The hell kind of afterlife is this?

[It is because this isn't hell. This subspace is referred to as Limbo.]

"H-HUH?!"

Turning my head around, my eyes looked around for the source of the voice as a mechanical yet feminine voice echoed throughout the sea of darkness.

What was that...?

[Hmm... I suppose you may refer to me as the System. I believe you humans have used the term in this kind of situation in certain types of media.]

"Wait, what? The System?! As in, like the Gamer system?!"

[Well, that is one conclusion you can think of. You have died in an unfortunate traffic accident in Los Angeles, California. But do not fear. For you, child, have been chosen—]

"Don't tell me I'm going to get isekai'd to another world...?!"

[...]

Oh god, no...

[That is... not the reaction I was expecting. I thought humans often feel excitement when given the offer to transmigrate to another world?]

"I've seen enough web novels, manhwa, and other media about isekais and systems to know that I will not have it easy once I get sent to a fictional world! Sure, everything might seem simple and easy at first due to having some background knowledge of the fictional world and hax, but I know for a fact that things will turn shitty as soon as I reach puberty or turn into an adult in the other world!"

[T-That isn't always the case. I'm certain you'll find some bliss and pleasure in a world of your choosing! I can make your life comfortable by granting you what you refer to as "hax," as many as you want to make your life easier—]

"Then can you send me to the world of IxSHE Tell or Kinkoi: Golden Loveriche?"

[...If you desire those kinds of world, then perhaps you'll have an interest in being transmigrated to Highschool D—]

"Just no. Please send me to hell, the abyss, or whatever afterlife exists in this world. If you can't even reincarnate or isekai me to a normal ass world, then I rather stay dead before I suffer through the dangerous plot of the crazy fictional world that exists."

If my life will constantly be in danger, I rather just stay dead to be perfectly honest.

[I-I'm afraid I do not have the power to send you to a more... normal world.]

Shit...

[B-But! How about I give you all sorts of boons that will help in making your life comfortable no matter where you go? Of course, there are limits to what I can give you at the start, b-but I'm certain they'll still be of help!]

I don't know if I should be glad or what.

Slumping my shoulders, I simply grunted at the System's response, completely disheartened.

"Fine, whatever. Do what you want."

Despite the System not having a physical body, I had a feeling my response perked them up.

[A wise decision! Well then, what world would you like to be transmigrated in?]

If anyone else were in my shoes, I'm pretty sure they'd be mulling over which of their favorite fictional world they'd want to be isekai'd in...

Since I didn't really have the option to be sent to a peaceful, non-supernatural, or crazy world, I didn't care where I was sent... Well, as long as I wasn't sent to Attack on Titan, Berserk, and other fucked-up worlds like them.

"As long as it isn't too dangerous and insane, I don't really care..."

[Then, I will choose a world based on the most recent media you have consumed from your memories.]

From my memories, huh? Now that they've mentioned it... W-Why can't I recall any memories before I was hit by Truck-kun...? I can't even remember my own name, but I can somehow still recall stuff about the plots and crap from media.

Sweat began to build up from my head down to my toes.

I had a bad feeling about this.

[The world has been selected. I have also collected all the memories relating to different kinds of systems and your favorite media in order to create the most appropriate one for you.]

"That's nice of you. I don't think that's going to be enough for me to survive whatever world you throw me in, though."

[Do not fret, child. You will receive several buffs as soon as your consciousness comes. Simply utter 'Status Window' to view the interface. Now, I will now begin your transmigration to the world of The Legend of Heroes.]

"Understood— Did you just say the Legend of Hero— OOOOEEES?!"

The surface of whatever I was standing on vanished as I felt myself falling down the dark void. All I could do was scream as my consciousness faded away.

"Ugh..."

A groan groggily escaped my lips. My whole body ached as if it just finished a workout session. The pain wasn't as bad as when I recalled the memory of being hit by a truck but still...

As I attempted to open my eyes, I immediately closed them again when a ray of sunlight greeted me. Covering my face with an arm, my eyelids gently fluttered open so they could get used to the light of the room before I took my arm off my face.

Uh... Based on the décor and style of the room, I could only assume I was in an apartment— a modern one at that. But from what the System said earlier, I was transmigrated to the Legend of Heroes' world.

"Uuuuuugh..."

That wasn't me groaning because I hated the world, far from it. I was groaning because I was aware of the dangers that lurked in the Zemuria content, even when you're a civilian. But I would very much rather play the game of the world, than be living in it.

But complaining won't help anyone, especially me since I'm the only one who knows this world is completely fictional. However, I guess this is my reality now.

Leaning against the bedframe, I took a deep breath and exhaled. "Maybe it's time I check out those 'hax' the System gave me... Status Window."

[You have accessed the Status Window for the first time. You will now be receiving the following boons:]

- Transcendence Sight

- Transmigrator's Knowledge

- Godlike Reflexes

- Supportive

- Silver Tongue

- Gan Jiang's Forgery

...

Aside from two familiar-sounding boons, how will most of these skills help me live a comfortable life, System!?

[I have chosen the set of skills based on your memories as well. Therefore, I believe they are the best-suited ones that will aid you in your new life in Zemuria. Please, look at the details of the skills first before complaining further.]

"I'm just gonna ignore how you read my head..."

-Transcendence Sight-

[The user is capable of accessing the information of living and non-living beings by simply looking at them.]

So, it's your standard analysis skill, huh? It's not bad, but I wished it did more than just being able to see someone's info.

-Transmigrator's Knowledge-

[Due to the user being a transmigrator, skill and weapon experience will double if the user understands the mechanics and concepts.]

"Are you ripping me off, System? Why can't you just give me the double exp for free?!"

[...]

I'm not gonna last long here, aren't I?

-Godlike Reflexes LV. 1-

[When in a pinch, Godlike Reflexes will activate and grant the user 100% physical and magic evasion while tripling the damage of counterattacks. The skill will deactivate once the user is out of danger or if their health has returned to a certain percentage.]

Finally a good one for my survival! I'm going to ignore the fact that it said it'll only activate if I'm in a pinch, but damn, this skill is pretty good. Not only does it effectively make me an evasion tank, but it also grants me a Sirius MQ-like effect! It says it's Level 1. Does that mean it'll get better if it continues to activate?

But since it only activates when I'm in a pinch, it means I have to continuously put my life on the line just to level it up...

Not worth it.

-Supportive-

[If the user is paired up or linked with an ally in combat, the ally will receive a 10% boost in all of their stats.]

"Um, System?"

[Yes?]

"Why does this look like a skill from one of the Fire Emblem Games?"

[That is because when I looked through your memories, Fire Emblem was one of the media you've cherished. I concluded that this skill will benefit your survival and improve your social skills.]

"Don't just assume I'm socially inept, dammit!"

Even if I was socially awkward, I'm not letting them diss me.

Ah, forget it. Let's move on to the last two skills.

-Silver Tongue-

[The absolute ability for persuasion, manipulation, and negotiations. Takes into consideration the user's Charisma stat. The minimum requirement for the skill to activate and succeed is 30.]

This... might be a tad broken. A skill like this would definitely make my life easier! I could negotiate the prices at stores and maybe improve my social skills!

[I believe you've just admitted that you're socially inept.]

"Don't go reading my mind!"

Groaning, I moved on to the last skill I received. The name of the final skill piqued my interest, so I hoped it had some decent effects.

-Gan Jiang's Forgery-

[The divine forgery of a legendary blacksmith! Or perhaps demonic? It grants the user the ability to forge weapons of enigmatic nature. A chance to obtain weapons that can even slay gods.]

"..."

[Is the skill not to your liking? From what I've gathered from your memories, this kind of skill is the most suitable one for you.]

"Y-You may be right..." I trailed off, the words dying in my throat.

The description and name might be completely different, but isn't this kind of like Unlimited Blade Works or Sword Birth?! I don't remember much of High School DxD, but I knew from my heart that I always loved the guy who used Sword Birth. If this skill resembled anything to what UBW or Sword Birth can do, then this is one of the best skills I could ask for.

The only downside I could think of would be...

"I'm required to have materials to forge something..."

Sighing, I felt a sense of defeat wash over me. There was no doubt Gan Jiang's Forgery was a great skill, but getting the necessary materials to even create a weapon would need money and access to forging materials.

I should push that in the back of my head for now. I still need to check my stats. Whether or not I could use Silver Tongue to get a job to earn some cash depends on my Charisma stat.

If someone were to see my face right now, they'd probably laugh their ass off when they saw how far my jaw just dropped. These stats are terrible! Aren't they supposed to at least be in the tens?! I'm not even close to the threshold of activating Silver Tongue!

"System, what is the meaning of this? How are my stats so low?"

[Your starting stats are calculated based on the majority of the Legend of Heroes stats system and a bit of the Fire Emblem stats system after taking into consideration your past life. Since you are— what do you humans call each other at times? A normie? Your stats reflect that state.]

"You said you were going to make my life easier in this world..." A grumble left me, my palm meeting my face. "Are they this low because I was so insignificant and normal? And is that the reason why my MP is glitched out for some reason?"

[I will refrain from commenting.]

Just kill me again...

My shoulders slumped down as my head fell back on the pillow, letting myself sink into despair.

[…I suppose I could tell you the hidden effect of Transmigrator's Knowledge—]

And just like that, I was back to sitting upright. "You will?!"

If the System was capable of sighing, then I probably heard it.

[Transmigrator's Knowledge has a hidden effect of doubling the stat points you'll receive depending on the type of training you partake in.]

"Does that mean my system doesn't utilize the stat point system?"

[Correct. However, to alleviate the downside due to utilizing the Legend of Heroes and Fire Emblem stat system, you can increase your stats whenever you want by performing a particular type of training or action.]

"Hmm..." Letting out a hum of understanding, I stroked my chin.

The trade-off isn't particularly bad if they put it that way. In fact, it might be even more powerful if I know what stat I'll receive from the things I do since it'll double.

Now that I started to come to terms with my terrible stats, my eyes wandered to my name and class.

Transmigrator was a no-brainer, but Erik Brandt, huh? Guess this kid existed as a simple background NPC in the world of Kiseki. I'll just have to get used to my new name and body. Inspecting my stat window further, I discovered more of my transmigrated self from the more info windows.

This guy was born in Roer, Erebonia, his birthday is March 27, his age is 17, and the date was currently December 9, S. 1203. If I recall correctly, the events of Zero start in January, and Cold Steel's should start at the end of March.

I shook my head. "It's not like I'll be attending Thors or becoming part of the SSS, so I don't need to be concerned about them. Although..."

The civil war in the future might put my life at risk if I don't train to protect myself. With these stats, I might die before Godlike Reflexes even activates!

[It seems you are starting to get comfortable with the System. I will now leave you to your own devices. But before I go, there is one more thing that I think you'll like to know.]

"Oh? What is it?"

In response to my question, the stats window disappeared, and in its place, a holographic contraption that resembled a slot machine appeared in the air. Beside it was a strange-looking device with the word FATE floating above it.

"Wha...?"

[Simply put, these two addons are key parts of the System that will give you the advantage to whatever life throws at you here in Zemuria. The slot machinelike hologram is the Skill and Item gacha, and the second hologram is a representation of Fate Grand Order's FATE gacha system.]

"Wait, wait, wait! Are you telling me I can summon Servants?!

[Yes. Both require AP— the currency which you can receive from quests, to use, but the Skill and Item Gacha can also utilize gacha tickets instead of AP, which you can also obtain from quests as reward items.]

With how low my jaw had dropped, I could only stare at the two gachas, completely dumbfounded. All sorts of scenarios played in my mind at the endless possibility of Servants, skills, and items I could obtain.

[By completing your first quest, you can roll at the Skill and Item gacha for free. Would you like to test it out?]

-QUEST ADDED-
