Part 1: Star Brand Destiny

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure X RWBY Crossover

Chapter 1: The Man Who Doesn't Exist

On the planet known as Remnant, there is a power known throughout the world known as a semblance. The inhabitants of Remnant use this power to fight against the evil monsters known as Grimm bent on the destruction of intelligent life.

However, there are other powers hidden in the darkness of the world. One of those is known as the STAND! A Stand gives capabilities to a person that would otherwise seem impossible, leading to very bizarre adventures…

Mistral Maximum Security Prison Outside Examination Room…

"So, what should we do about this?" Prison Guard #1 asked.

"You mean prisoner one hundred seventeen just put him in with the others." Prison Guard #2 answered.

"But the name he gave us doesn't come up on the registry! According to this, he doesn't exist!" Prison Guard #1 argued.

"So what if he doesn't? That just means no one is coming to get him, and the more prisoners we process, the more money we get." Prison Guard #2 asserted.

"Fine, but if our superior finds out, don't expect me to defend you." Prison Guard #1 stated.

"Whatever fill out the report!" Prison Guard #2 demanded.

"Fine report on prisoner one hundred seventeen, Male around the age of twenty-six with black hair and blue eyes. Distinctive characteristics a red star-shaped birthmark just under the back of his neck…" Prison Guard #1 began.

"It's not a birthmark look closer. It's a brand someone branded this guy similar to that other one we got." Prison Guard #2 interrupted.

"If you're so knowledgeable, then you do the report." Prison Guard #1 replied.

"Just get it done I want to go home!" Prison Guard #2 demanded.

Suddenly a loud tapping sound came inside the room, startling the two guards. At first, it seemed to come from across the room, but each time it came again, it got closer to them. The two looked around for the source but found nothing until the sound came from next to them on the two-way mirror.

Just beyond the glass laid the prisoner in question staring at the glass almost like he was watching them waiting. The tapping began once again this time more frequently and louder until a crack formed onto the mirror.

"Did that just happen?" Prison Guard #1 questioned.

"Let's just finish the report and get out of here." Prison Guard #2 insisted.

"Right….the name given to us by the prisoner is Joshua Joestar." Prison Guard #1 finished.

Seventeen years ago, a young boy was shot by a mysterious arrow. Though his aura healed the wound, the arrow had other effects on the child. Not long after, the boy began to see what he could only describe as an apparition!

However, no matter how much he tried to convince his family, no one believed him save his older and little sisters. Eventually, at the age of fourteen, his father had enough with the boy's claims. After being persuaded by a doctor, he sent him to the Brando Mental Institute, a place that his father supported financially.

This mental institution unknown to the boy's father or anyone turned out to be built specifically to contain Stand Users! They branded each inmate with a letter to rank them in their power. A being the best and F being the worst. But one brand is special the rarest of them all the Star brand indicating a rare or special variant Stand.

After arriving, the boy's Stand was quickly analyzed, and he was given a Star brand. During his time there, he was put through hell and back as they tortured him and every other inmate there. Whatever it was that the people in charge were after they needed the power of a Stand to do it.

During his years trapped in there, the boy learned how to use his stand as his entire personality changed. When he first arrived, he was a cheerful boy, but now he was hardened by the abuse and torture he was put through in Brando.

Finally, at the age of twenty-six, he was just strong enough to escape. After breaking free of the institution, he quickly revealed its mistreatment of its patients to the world. However, it was too late as it was abandoned not too long before huntsmen and huntresses arrived to shut it down with no evidence left behind.

Undeterred, he was determined to find out the origin of the arrow that had shot him so long ago and what exactly the people behind Brando were planning. But with the one that had shot him stolen from evidence, he was forced to look for a different lead. So when he returned to the institution, he made sure to fake his own death, and now he has taken the name Joshua Joestar.

3 Days Before Present Time…

The Kingdom of Mistral is known for its diverse range of cultures and lifestyles due to the large amount of land it encompasses. However, its populous has been split between two classes, the upper and the lower.

The upper class is world-renowned due to their many contributions. However, in comparison, the lower class is the exact opposite. The lower class of Mistral is filled with thieves and assassins making it a dangerous place to step foot in.

A Bullhead made its landing on a strip in the City of Mistral, and once down, the passengers exited. One of the passengers that left the ship looked around, thinking about his next move.

This man was six feet with dark black hair and light blue eyes. He wore a pitch-black shirt with a red star on the front and cargo pants with boots of the same color. However, he also wore something that clashed with his outfit, a purple bracelet on his right arm.

This man was Joshua Joestar, and he has traveled to Mistral on a mission. For the past couple of months, since he escaped, he has been tracking the breadcrumbs left from the Brando Institution to find answers. Now his search has led him to the City of Mistral.

Although the arrow that shot him was stolen from evidence, he was able to get an accurate description of the weapon. He had a lead on the same kind of arrow in Mistral belonging to a man who was arrested. The man had been shooting several people with the arrow and was taken into custody.

"Now, all that's left is to find a way to talk to him." Joshua thought as he entered the city.

The first way to find answers was to talk to the people who were shot by the arrow. However, most were unwilling to speak with him, and those in the hospital were impossible to talk to, for he was unable to even reach them.

Only one man from the many agreed to talk to him, but he had little to offer in terms of information. All he knew was that the person who shot him was around Joshua's height and wore checkered clothing.

In the end, Joshua changed tactics by talking with the local populous, who seemed to not want to talk much about it. The only helpful information he could get was people telling him to go to the lower levels. The lower levels of Mistral were known to be the backwater of the city where the scum and criminals live.

Joshua made his way to the black markets of Mistral, looking for someone whom he could get some answers out of. He found someone that he could do just that with as he noticed that he was being followed no doubt by a man planning to mug him.

"Let's see what you want." Joshua thought as he rounded a corner into an alley, reaching a dead end.

"Well, well poor move pal now you have nowhere to run." The man boasted as he blocked the exit taking out playing cards. The man was around Joshua's height and had short blonde hair he wore a black trench coat and pants with a noticeable scar on the left cheek.

"So what do you want? I could assume you want to rob me, but when you're in Mistral, crime is fluid?" Joshua questioned.

"You noticed me guess I'm getting rusty. All I'm after is some cash. Most tourists like yourself have a good amount." The man responded.

"If its money you want, then I'll give you however much you want but only in exchange for information," Joshua replied.

"Information, what kind weirdo are you?" The man questioned.

"A confident one," Joshua answered.

Suddenly the man was thrown against the wall being pushed against it by an unknown force. His cards fell to the ground sticking in, indicating that they were razor-sharp as Joshua slowly made his way towards him. When he reached the man, he stopped in front of him and pulled out some lien.

"I have two thousand lien here. I will give it to you if you answer my questions." Joshua asserted as the man looked at him in shock.

"What is it?" The man coughed as he stared at Joshua in fear.

"Very recently, a man was arrested for firing an arrow at people what do you know about him?" Joshua asked.

"That's very obscure. Sure it was in the news, but not many know who he is or his name. But what I do know is that he is in Mistral Maximum Security Prison and that he has an A branded on his back near his neck." The man answered.

"A brand near his neck, does that mean he's a missing patient?" Joshua wondered.

"I see what kind of crime must you commit to be put into such a place?" Joshua asked. He knew that to get to this man making a visit to the prison would do no good, so he decided to get himself into the prison.

"A serious crime like murder, however, something like petty theft would not go on their radar." The man answered.

"I see, would something like attacking a huntsman work?" Joshua questioned.

"Yes, it's sure to get you in there if you harm them good enough." The man responded.

As he answered, Joshua, released the power that held the man up, allowing him to drop to the ground. Joshua crouched down and handed the man the lien placing it in his palms as he walked away.

"The world is a harsh place that I know, but you shouldn't resort yourself to theft like this. A man like you can achieve greater things if you try. Thanks for the information." Joshua advised as he walked away.

Shocked by Joshua's kind words, the man was at a loss. Such things were rare in the lower parts of Mistral. The words of encouragement have resonated with the would-be thief causing him to think over the words Joshua had given him.

"This man's spirit and determination, it's as if I can feel it clearly! Whatever he is planning to do, he plans on following it to the end I've never seen someone such as him." The man thought.

"Wait, what's your name?" The man asked, still bewildered at Joshua's kindness.

"Joshua Joestar," Joshua answered.

"Thank you for the money I will repay you for this one day." The man declared.

"You already did by answering my questions," Joshua replied.

"It's not good enough. You are the first person to give me money willingly. I swear I will repay you. You're not like anyone I've ever met! To trust such a man as me, it has set my heart ablaze I will repay you that is a promise," The man asserted.

"Whatever you say," Joshua said as he walked off.

It was then that Joshua decided on his plan to get to the man he was searching for. Quickly he attacked a local huntsman he found, and he was quickly arrested. During the next couple of days, he was processed by the Mistral justice system, who constantly questioned him about his name.

"Listen here, you little punk, there's no Joshua Joestar in the system anywhere! Not here nor in Vale, Vacuo, or Atlas now tell us who you really are!" Prison Guard #2 demanded.

"I told you my name is Joshua Joestar." Joshua asserted, staring the guard in the eye.

"Forget it, let's just go and finish processing him!" Prison Guard #1 sighed as they left the room.

After what seemed like forever, Joshua got impatient and used his stand to get the guards to go faster. He began tapping around the room they were in. He continued this getting louder and louder until he reached the two-way mirror cracking it. Eventually, once he was done, they came in and escorted him to his cell.

It seemed that though this place was a maximum-security prison, it was pretty lax and low budget. They didn't even have uniforms allowing him to wear his normal clothes. When he was put into the cell, he noticed his cellmate on the top bunk.

"I see, so I have a new cellmate well let me set the ground rules to you." The Prisoner began taking out a hidden knife.

"I don't plan on sharing anything with you, so you do what I say when I want it!" The Prisoner asserted. However, the hand holding the knife was crushed, and he was pinned to the wall the knife then suddenly shot up and into his shoulder.

"Don't make me laugh," Joshua stated as he twisted the knife with his power.

"Now, then you're going to tell me everything you know about a man with the letter A branded on his back," Joshua demanded. To assert his dominance, he twisted the knife further with his power causing the man to scream as his aura struggled to compensate.

The man spilled the beans faster than Joshua could process, so it took him a while until he could get his answers. Apparently, the man he was looking for was around his age and had brown hair with a short-sleeved jacket with a checkered pattern.

Eventually, because of his crushed arm and stab wound, Joshua's cellmate was taken to the infirmary since his aura could not heal the wounds fast enough. Joshua stood in the corner while his cellmate was taken away, and when it was over, he took the bottom bunk and went to sleep.

As he slept, he had a dream of his past long before he was put into the mental institution. It was a time when he still lived with his family under a very different name. However, it had been so long it seemed like he barely recall it.

Thirteen Years Prior…

In the childhood home of Joshua Joestar, he was known by a different name. But after being away for so long, combined with the torture of the institution, Joshua abandoned that name. Additionally, he could not fully recall the details of his past save for some things here and there.

The names and faces of his family were no exception to his lack of memory, but what is he remembering?

"Enough! I've had it there is no apparition. It's just your imagination _ you're thirteen now grow up!" His father shouted as he slammed his fist onto his desk.

"But I swear I've seen it!" Joshua swore.

"Just stop I'm done go to your room!" His father ordered. Joshua left the room with his head held down in shame as his older twin sister approached.

"Father scolded you again, didn't he?" She questioned.

"Yes," Joshua answered.

"I'm sorry to hear that if you want _ and I are going to have some tea, would you like to join us?" His Sister asked.

"No thanks if father found out that I didn't go to my room I'll be punished more than I already am." Joshua declined. His sister nodded as she began to leave, but Joshua called to her one more time.

"_ do you believe me?" Joshua asked.

"About the apparition you've been seeing?" His Sister inquired.

"Yes," Joshua responded.

"I can't say for sure since I myself haven't seen it, but I believe that it's real if you've seen it." His sister answered.

"Thanks, I guess." Joshua thanked as he entered his room.

Present Day…

Joshua woke up as rays of sunshine shone through the bars of the window of his cell. Getting up, he looked around, seeing the cells across from him filled with prisoners all looking at him. Soon the doors to the cell opened, allowing him to exit his cell.

"Haven't thought on that day for a long time what was my sister's name again? I'm sure I'll remember if I see her again." Joshua thought as he watched the prisoners exit their owns cells around him.

"Doesn't matter. I need to find whom I'm looking for." Joshua thought as he followed the inmates.

As he followed them, he entered a large cafeteria filled with large barred windows and tables with the only exit being the entrance. All of the inmates were getting their breakfast and sitting down to eat. Scanning the area, Joshua searched for the man with the A branded on his back.

He found his man when his eyes laid on a lone man sitting at a table with people seemingly avoiding him. Just as his cellmate had described, he wore a checkered short-sleeved jacket and had brown hair. Joshua approached him slowly until he was right behind the man staring daggers at the man.

"You're either brave or incredibly stupid for approaching me. I'm guessing you're new, but know this anyone who even comes this close to me will end up in the infirmary. So leave!" The Checkered Man threatened.

"Are you the one who was caught shooting an arrow at people?" Joshua asked.

The Checkered Man stopped eating and turned to look at Joshua, their eyes meeting green versus blue. Standing up, the two stared down at one another as prisoners began to watch the two both nearly equal in height.

"Who wants to know?" The Checkered Man questioned.

Suddenly a red third arm sprouted from Joshua's left shoulder and went to attack the man. The man quickly dodged the attack scraping his right cheek and breaking the table behind him. Jumping back, the Checkered Wearing Man got more serious in mood as he realized what was happening.

"I see, so you are a Stand User." The Checkered Man determined.

"I want answers about the arrow and The Brando Institution," Joshua replied.

"You're from the Institution as well then. That puts me a little at ease, seeing as you're not here to kill me per se. However, I won't be giving you answers either." The Checkered Man stated.

"And why's that?" Joshua asked.

"It's simple. I have a job to do, and telling you anything about it would go against my contract. So either you go away, and I'll forget this happened, or I'll put you down." The Checkered Man threatened.

"Then I'll force answers out of you. CRIMSON DESTINY!" Joshua declared as his body glowed in crimson energy. Suddenly Joshua's Stand appeared behind him a bulky knight with dark red skin and white armor obscuring the Stands eyes.

(AN: It looks similar to the Arma Gigas save the arms which are bare)

His Stand then charged at the Checkered Man, throwing a punch right at his face. However, before he could land a hit, a knife embedded himself in his right shoulder, sending him to the ground, his aura unable to stop the damage.

"Don't underestimate me pal showing your Stand off so easily just points out that you don't have much experience fighting other Stands." The Checkered Man pointed out.

"But since you were so generous on showing yours, I will show you mine PINS AND NEEDLES!" The Checkered Man declared. His Stand appeared behind him a silver humanoid Stand slender almost like it was made of pipes holding several throwing knives.

During this, most of the prisoners looked at them in shock, backing away, not wanting to get involved in the fight. When word of the fight came around, several guards went to break the two up. However, when they got close, Joshua used his Crimson Destiny to knock them away.

"I've only had to fight two other Stand Users, so I'll take this as a learning experience," Joshua replied as he got up.

When he got up, Joshua pulled out the knife in his shoulder, tossing it to the ground. This proved to be a mistake as his wound began to bleed excessively upon seeing this Joshua had to use Crimson Destiny to cover up the wound.

"That was a mistake. Allow me to give you this little tidbit. My Stand specializes in throwing knives of which are also part of my Stand. If you were to pull it out, you will bleed like a fountain, and aura will do little against it." The Checkered Man explained.

"I'll have to make sure to avoid them then," Joshua said, tearing off an inmate's shirt to use as a makeshift bandage.

"Trust me, you won't get the chance." The Checkered man Boasted.

His Stand then threw four knives at Joshua, who prepared Crimson Destiny to block the attack. However, the knives moved too fast for him to block. The knives flew past his Stand save for one that hit Crimson Destiny in the hand and made contact with his body.

"That's three with a direct hit in your left shoulder, left thigh, and in your abdomen. Care to guess where I'll hit next. You'll get one hundred lien if you get it, right?" The Checkered man questioned.

"Damn, this is going to be harder than I thought! I can't keep up with those knives without practice with how I am at the moment." Joshua thought as he stared down the Checkered Man.

"No, guess? Well, then let's just see what we get!" The Checkered Man announced as he went to toss more knives.

Just before the knives left his hand, Joshua used his Crimson Destiny to grab onto the broken table and use it as a shield. He tried to move back as well, but he found it impossible to move any part of his body, which had a knife in it. So he was forced to crawl away with his right arm.

The knives tore the table apart, speeding over his head as he laid on the floor. Getting onto his knee, he looked at The Checkered Man, who walked towards him with a smug smile.

"What's wrong finding it hard to move well? It's not too surprising since my knives are dug into your flesh in precise areas to restrict your movements." The Checkered Man stated.

The Checkered Man's aim is so great he is able to hit precise areas of the human body to restrict a person's movements temporarily paralyzing his opponents through pressure points!

"Guess you haven't fully mastered how to use a Stand yet, but don't worry too much about it since it won't matter soon." The Checkered Man added.

"Before I kill you, I would like to know your name?" He inquired.

"What does it matter?" Joshua questioned.

"It is customary to know your enemy's name if you are about to kill them." The Checkered Man explained.

"I am Joshua Joestar," Joshua answered.

"A pleasure to meet you, Joshua Joestar, my name is Maximilian Zeppeli." The now named Maximilian greeted as his Stand raised its hand holding a single knife.

"Now, prepare to die!" Maximilian declared.

Before he could make a move, one of his knives flew towards his head, causing him to throw a knife to deflect it. Joshua had ripped the knife in his left leg to surprise Maximilian while tearing off a piece of his pants to cover the wound.

Now able to walk on his two feet, he squared off against Maximilian once more. However, this time he landed a solid hit on him with Crimson Destiny. The attack sent Maximilian into a window, breaking the glass and causing Maximilian's body to hit the steel bars behind it, damaging his aura.

"Now I know what your Stand can do I'll plan accordingly from now on," Joshua claimed.

"That was a lucky shot Joestar. But you won't be able to react fast enough! My Stand can throw knives faster than bullets!" Maximilian boasted as he picked himself off the ground.

As he went to throw knives, Joshua seemed to move before the blades even left. When the knives left to hit Joshua, he managed to dodge as if he knew when and where they were coming. Maximilian tried again, but once again, Joshua moved before the knives were thrown or reached him! It was as if he knew beforehand when and where they were coming.

"What? But…but how?" Maximilian questioned.

"All Stands have abilities besides punching or throwing things that is one thing I learned while trapped in that hell hole yours is the knives causing the bleeding and the paralysis." Joshua began.

"My Stand is unique. The people at the institution couldn't quite comprehend the power my Stand had, but I did." Joshua continued.

"You! You're a Star brand, aren't you?!" Maximilian asked.

The Star brand the mark of a unique Stand beyond that of an A brand Stand! This meant that a Star brand is the strongest kind out there!

"That's right, and while this is my first Stand battle in a while. I practiced with using my power to compensate for my inexperience," Joshua answered.

"What makes your Stand so special that lets you dodge my attacks like that?" Maximilian questioned.

"My Stand's ability is premonition. It allows me to see a few seconds to a couple of minutes into the future!" Joshua responded.

"Premonition!" Maximilian gasped as Joshua charged at him.

"Even if you can see what will happen, it doesn't mean you can counter them all!" Maximilian declared as he went to attack once more.

But he was once again taken off guard as Joshua used his Crimson Destiny to grab the other broken piece of the table and threw it at Maximilian. Not taking any chances, Maximilian threw several knives tearing it apart.

"VatteneVatteneVATTENEVATTENEVATTENE!" Maximilian shouted.

(AN: Vattene is Italian for begone)

Believing that Joshua was using the table as a distraction waiting for him to come from the left or right, he prepared himself for just that. He was taken by surprise once more when Joshua came from the front, having pushed through the pain.

"This is the end!" Joshua declared as Crimson Destiny bombarded Maximilian with several attacks.

"TroTroTroTroTroTROTROTROTROTROTZEN!" Joshua yelled as Crimson Destiny attacked Maximilian.

(AN: Trotzen is German for defy)

Once Maximilian's aura was shattered, Crimson Destiny was able to do real damage. Loud cracking sounds were heard as several of Maximilian's bones were broken, and he was sent back into the bars bending them out of shape.

"Ready to answer my questions now?" Joshua asked as he walked in front of Maximilian, the knives having disappeared as Maximilian's Stand was put away.

"Ugh *cough* *cough* not like I have a choice I don't know much of the institution I probably know about as much as you." Maximilian began.

"Since I know people are being sent to kill me anyway, there won't be any harm in telling you about the arrow. The arrow is what gives people the power of a Stand if they are hit by it. I was firing it upon people was because I was ordered to by the Brando Institution who now work all around Remnant." Maximilian continued.

"I don't know why they ordered me to do so most likely to make more Stand Users. However, I don't know what they are planning with it. The only reason I even worked for them is because they would have killed me otherwise." Maximilian finished.

"I see, then how did they contact you?" Joshua questioned.

"I would love to answer, but the guards are back," Maximilian replied.

Suddenly Joshua was grabbed from behind by several guards unable to get free due to his injuries. Both Joshua and Maximilian were taken away as the prisoners were dismissed.

The two Stand Users were put into the infirmary and when they recovered put into solitary confinement for their actions. They were set to stay in there for several days until they were to be released back into normal confinement.

During Joshua's time in the infirmary, they took a sample of his blood to finally find out his identity. As Joshua sat in solitary confinement, he looked at the rays of light coming from the small window in the cell.

"Looks like I'll have to be patient before I am able to ask Maximilian any more questions, I just wish I didn't have to do it in this prison." Joshua thought.

"I should also think of an escape plan and how to tamper with the blood sample they took. The last thing I need is people finding out my true identity, especially my family, finding out where I am." Joshua determined.

Joshua Joestar, the man who doesn't exist, has taken the first steps on his journey. Now with the information he has gathered and the more he has to learn, he will plan his escape from prison. But unbeknownst to him, a new threat was approaching both him and Maximilian Zeppeli.

"Well looks like I got a two for one deal not only to I get Mr. Zeppeli but now a Star brand as well I'll be getting a promotion for sure!" A Mysterious Bald Man laughed as he looked down from a cliff at the prison.

Next Time…Prison Escape

Author's Note:

That's the premiere chapter I hope you guys enjoyed. I'm trying to get the JoJo formula and feel down, and I think I got it for the most part. Though I think I could have elaborated this chapter some more, I think I did a good job overall.

Now to let you all know obviously no previous or already established JoJo character though obviously different "versions" will be in this world save one very later on.

That being said, there will also be completely original Stands and abilities, so no seeing Star Platinum or any other established Stand save one like I said, it will not appear till a later part. Speaking of this story will be separated into three parts as three separate stories, so when this is over, it will continue as a new part.

There is also the fact that the main character technically is not a Joestar. He uses the name that and many other questions will obviously be answered later until then, I will have flashbacks and hints that will not reveal anything until the time is right.

About the flashbacks, the empty underlines are indicating the names of Joshua's family. Also, his own abandoned name, which he can't remember or care for in that order. Originally they were supposed to be as long as the name being said, but shortened it to one line sadly.

Finally, about the words, I chose for the Stand's attack like Tro (Trotzen) and Vattene German and Italian, respectively. I would like it if no one would bitch about it, saying, "But those languages don't exist on Remnant so they shouldn't say that" I know they don't okay.

But we still see other languages from our world in there any way a prime example being Weiss, whose full name is German for white snow, so don't give me that thanks. Hope you guys enjoyed the story ideas I've made see you all next time.
