Percy POV
Walking out of my cabin I took a huge breath. Today I will finally be able to purpose to my Wise-Girl. Last night I finally came back from asking Athena for her permission to marry her daughter. As I made my way towards the beach where I am supposed to be meeting Annabeth, I passed the sword fighting arena. Passing by I noticed two people making out. One had long blonde hair and was probably a daughter of Apollo or Athena, the other was dark-haired which means he could have been anybody's child. I shrugged and started to head towards the beach again when a voice stopped me dead in my tracks.
"(sigh) I have to go Nathan."
" Oh come on Annabeth! When are you going to leave that weakling son of Poseidon for me?"
" Now I'm headed to the beach for a date with him"
I could feel my hurt and anger taking over me as the wind picked up. I walked into the arena.
"No reason to meet with me Annabeth"
Both of them whirled around in shock at the sound of my voice. Nathan pulled his sword and stood in front of Annabeth effectively trying to protect her from me. I rolled my eyes
"Like you can stop me war spawn"
I let my emotions take control of me. I could feel the storm raging and the sea-green glow surrounding me. I heard gasps and cheers and yells of fright I looked around to see the entire camp watching in various expressions.
"Percy!" Chiron yelled
I barely heard him above the wind in my ears.
"Annabeth how long have you been cheating on me?"
My voice was hollow and void of all the emotion currently coursing through me. She shrank back into Nathan even more.
"I will end you Sea scum you are nothing compared to me!" Nathan yelled.
This only added to my anger I was creating my own hurricane. I could feel it quickly becoming stronger than I could control when suddenly a sense of home and love enveloped me causing me to relax and the storm to die down. Nathan had a smirk believing I had given up he opened his mouth to speak when slow sarcastic clapping started. Everyone turned to look for whoever was clapping. The crowd started to part as the person started to walk through them. I smiled as I saw who it was. Someone I have known for years. She still looked as beautiful as the last time I saw her. Curly blonde hair with caramel highlights, curves to make any girl jealous, a button nose, electric blue eyes that could rival Jason or Thalia's, pink plump lips, long shapely legs, and ass that she is extremely proud of, and boobs she loves all in all she's probably every guy's wet dream. She was standing there smirking at me in her usual black tight skinny jeans, blood red tank top, and signature leather jacket, and knee-high boots.
" Kim?" I whispered her smirk grew into a smile.
" Perce you always seem so shocked to see me she laughed"
As I was about to respond the conch went off to single dinner. The crowd dispersed leaving myself, Kim, Annabeth, Chiron, and Nathan in the arena.
"Percy why don't we go eat I have something I need to discuss with you and you can explain the big three power show off"
I smiled and nodded and walked around the shocked centaur I know he could sense the power coming off of her. As I came up to her side I pulled her into a hug and felt her release her comfort to allow some of my pain to go away for a while. I pulled back and smiled at her she just threaded our fingers together and together we headed towards the pavilion. As we walked she lays her head on my chest
"I've missed you Percy" I kissed the top of her head
"I missed you to"
The rest of the walk was done in silence as we reached the pavilion everyone just stopped everything they were doing and started staring at us. Kim being her normal self flipped everyone the bird
"fuck off twat waffles"
containing my laughter was not happening. After I finally caught my breath we continued on to get our food. I sacrificed some to my dad but Kim just kept on walking and sat down across from Tyson who barely looked up from whatever he was tinkering with. I just smiled at his obliviousness and sat down next to him. Most of the pavilion was still watching us except Dionysus he was back to grumbling about how his punishment was unfair. I took a sip of my coke blue as always and choked trying not to laugh. Kim looked up from her food raising an eyebrow silently asking if I'm dying. After a minute I was able to stop coughing.
"No I'm not dying"
"oh thank the gods. I really don't wanna have to deal with your death so many people would be depressed including dad"
she rolls her eyes with a small smile. I just grin
"What can I say I'm loved by all" she just rolls her eyes
"so you know everyone is still staring at us right"
the face of pure unadulterated sarcastic shock that came across her face is comical I bit my tongue knowing she was about to pull something.
"Hmmm, I wonder why…maybe it's because I'm something new?"
She shook her head
"no no no that's not it. Maybe because I didn't sacrifice to the gods or hmmm oh I've got it (she included the finger-pointing as if a light bulb appeared over her head) it's got to be because I'm not a child of Poseidon nodding to herself she agreed with herself
"yup thats totally the one"
seeming satisfied with her answer she just grinned at me for about 2 seconds before we both started laughing hysterically. After we settled down and finally started eating what can I say I love her to death but damn a growing boy has to eat. A shadow fell on the table causing us to both look up
"hey pony" Kim cheerily said while taking a bite of her food. Chiron glared at her
"what is your name young hero" she visibly shivered and gagged
"eww not no but no way in hell am I hero that's just too much damn work"
She flashed me a cheeky grin. I really am trying and failing not to chuckle at her antics. This girl can be such a bitch to people she doesn't think she has to deal with and it's comical with the way that she does it. With sarcasm and extreme wit.
"But if you must know my name is Kim" Chiron sighs tiredly
" Well Kim since your new"
"actually I'm just visiting" she points out while he ignores her
"And it seems like you haven't been claimed I'm going to have to ask you to move to the Hermes table." " Mmmmm no"
"No?"
"ya no, see I already know who my parent is. I am also a champion and since I could squash everyone in this room including that puny lazy ass excuse of a god over there"
"hey!" Mr.D yelled
I just chuckled at her her and continued to eat, Tyson has still not noticed the drama unfolding in front of us
"Without breaking a sweat let alone moving from my seat I am going to stay where I'm at until told otherwise by someone who actually matters to me and there's only 4 of those in the world currently and currently the only one present is Percy who I'm sure isn't going to ask me to move"
she glanced at me I just waved and went back to my food
"I am not moving"
The entire pavilion became so quiet you could hear a pin drop glancing around I noticed most of the campers wide-eyed with their mouths hanging open I just chuckled, seems as if no one has ever spoken to Chiron that way I shrug that's just Kim brash and downright bitchy and outspoken, doesn't really care about someone's feelings unless she cares about them and even then it's iffy. Sometimes I wonder why I became friends with this woman. Finally, Chiron spoke again
"well who is your parent, I'm sure you would love to meet your, siblings."
At this both of us broke into laughter I could feel the looks from the room staring at us as if we were crazy. Once we calmed down to the occasional chuckle she just smiled at Chiron
"No thanks, I'm an only child, my parent actually raised me."
"That's not possible" Mr.d Screamed while pounding the table.
Kim barely looks bored and shrugs I can't even focus on my food this is so funny
"Sure it is it's easy my parent isn't a god his older, therefore, doesn't follow the laws you dumbasses put into place."
The tension around the room could be cut with a butter knife
"Surely you don't mean a titan" Chiron asks the fear in his eyes obvious the smirk that flashes on her face tells me she's going to pull something she shouldn't
"No but some of my best friends are titans"
"who is your parent you little bastard" Dionysus snarled his eyes glowing purple.
Trying to show his power Kim stood and mockingly bowed
"daughter of Eros primordial god of love and champion of Hestia goddess of the hearth and home not at your service by the way"
She winked and stayed standing allowing the information to sink in after a few minutes Kim grew bored and started fake checking her nails waiting on someone to speak and of course, Annabeth is the one who spoke up
"Th-that's impossible"
Kim looked up from her nails with a quirked eyebrow
" Hows that wisdoms daughter?
"It's impossible because Eros has been in hiding for centuries and you like what 17?
Kim nodded and made the continue-on gesture
"along with the fact that Hestia would never bless the child of a primordial"
"why do you think she would bless a child of a primordial?"
Honestly, I was curious about this to as far as I knew Hestia had no problems with Eros.
" well obviously because of the fact he's primordial and he lost power and he's jealous and she knows he could hurt her even if not on the domain then definitely in hand to hand"
I had gone back to eating at this point and stop and just looked at her as did everyone else usually she had a better answer. Probably getting caught cheating has fucked with her brain I snorted god she never had a heart she doesn't need a brain. Kim caught my snort and flashed me a grin knowing what I was thinking
"So your assessment on the fact that I could never be blessed by Hestia is solely based on your own personal biases"
Kim nods to herself
"hmm ok well here's the thing I saved Hestia's life and as you know love and home go together and who better than to interperate those than me the half-mortal child of Eros. Don't get me wrong the rush of a battle and killing monsters is amazing but the rush of using my powers and finding a person who truly deserves their true loves is the most wonderful feeling ever. And before anyone starts on the Aphrodite cabin and wants me to stay there understand my father is the god of true love their mother is the goddess of lust and beauty whether she or they want to admit it at all, back to my previous speech, you can be homeless and have lost everything except the one you love, as long as their standing beside you you will always be happy, why because love isn't a building neither is home. It's a feeling that's in your heart so understand something wisdom spawn do not open your mouth on things you do not understand, do not believe you know everything because you will quickly learn you know absolutely nothing she snarled"
I watched Annabeth actually shrank back for a moment before straightening her spine and glaring at Kim who just rolls her eyes and sits back down effectively dismissing Chiron who just walks away. We went back to eating and discussing what we've both been up to apparently she was able to free her love from the underworld and bring him back so they could be together. I'm happy for them. I could feel though that she wasn't giving me the full story just yet I knew she would in her own time though. As I filled her in on the Roam camp she actually glared at me and being the receiving end of that glare is dangerous
"Percy I swear to my father that if you do not take me to that camp I will personally punch through your chest and rip your heart out and feed it to Cerberus!" I just gulped and nodded for a daughter of love she is incredibly violent.
