It had been over a year since the Quantum Mirror had accidentally brought Jesse Harris-Chase from the Brave au to the Protectors au. A year from their point of view, anyway. So you can imagine the guard on the door of the room holding the Quantum Mirror's surprise when someone knocked on that door from the inside. Feeling a bit apprehensive, because hopefully, invaders wouldn't knock, the guard keyed in his code and peeked thru.

"Hi there. I was wondering, is Major General Jack O'Neill or Alexander Harris-Chase around? I've got some info to pass on to them."

Feeling very surreal, the guard called General Landry and informed him that someone had come thru the Quantum Mirror again. Apparently on purpose this time, wanting to talk to General O'Neill or Alexander Harris-Chase. He was ordered to bring the visitor to the infirmary, immediately, which he did.

"Sorry, ma'am, but you can't do a blood draw on me. If you need to make sure I'm not Gou'ld, you can do an ultrasound scan, but nothing invasive. It would give you information I'm well aware that you're that not cleared to know." The visitor told Dr. Lam. Sighing, she did the ultrasound and then called her father, General Landry, and let him know, the visitor wasn't a Gou'ld and was refusing a blood draw claiming Classified. Which brought General Landry practically running to the infirmary.

"Hi. We haven't met. I'm Xander Harris-Chase. I've been given permission by our President to pay you a neighborly visit and pass on some information we recently came across. Since you were nice enough to give us some info, when you brought our Jesse back to us. But I'm only allowed to give it to Jack O'Neill or my counterpart, no one else. Sorry, General. I may be a civilian, but even I follow the President's orders. Well as long as he's not insane or something."

Also feeling rather surreal, General Landry called the President on his red phone and informed him of their guest. The President, in turn, called Jack O'Neill and ordered him to Cheyenne Mountain to find out what was so important that his counterpart in another reality would order someone thru the Quantum Mirror.

Feeling decidedly grumpy because Sam was home for two weeks while The Hammond was being overhauled and resupplied and now he was being ordered to get his butt to Cheyenne Mountain, when he would much rather just stay in bed, cuddling with her, Jack headed for the transporter that had been installed in his basement. It was supposed to be for emergencies. He was pretty sure this must qualify. What else would send someone thru that damned Mirror?

"Okay. This had better be good, because Sam is only home for two weeks and you're cutting into our 'us' time." He said, when he saw who had come thru the Mirror.

"Oh, I think this qualifies as important. We recently found out something and it was decided we'd pass it on to you. We can't give a heads up to every reality out there, but we are aware of yours and thought, you should know, in case you don't already."

"Recently, my Cordelia and I, along with Jesse were asked to go to Atlantis. Because of the strength of our Ancient gene, it was hoped we'd be able to help them get into some places they hadn't been able to, as well as activate some devices they'd been having trouble with. We were successful. At least as far as getting into places they hadn't been before. It's what we found in some of those places that brings me here." He placed a laptop on the table. "This contains two complete databases from two of those facilities. They had demons stored in tanks in them. We thought the Ancients encountered the Old Ones when they arrived on Earth. Turns out, the Ancients created the rifts on purpose. They were hoping to use another dimension the same way they used subspace, for travel. They let those things into this dimension. But it gets even worse. Towards the end the Wraith War, they started their own version of the Initiative. They were researching ways of controlling those things because they intended to unleash them on the Wraith. That laptop also has the 'gate address of a terraformed moon where they deliberately opened a rift in order to catch the demons they researched on. We closed the one in our reality and now that we know the Ancients were responsible for creating those damned things in the first place and letting those things in, we've got a researcher stationed on Atlantis going thru its database looking for anything the Ancients have on them."

"You're serious?!" O'Neill asked, incredulous.

"I'd much rather have discovered the things Jesse found then this, Jack, but yes, very serious."

"What did Jesse find?"

"An Ancient art gallery, a perviously unknown chem lab and the fact that the entire south tower is a park. With four sequoia trees that have been growing for 10,000 years and tended to by maintenance 'bots. He also discovered perviously unknown maintenance tunnels and used them to prank McKay."

"Damn, I like his discoveries alot better."

"So do I. Especially since Cordelia still hasn't forgiven me for also discovering the Ancients equivalent of a brothel. Complete with holographic displays of what they offered when it was up and running."

O'Neill started laughing. "Damn, sucks to be you."

"Tell me about. I'm sure Sam would be equally as annoyed at you."

"No doubt. Alright, thanks for the info. You better get back thru the Mirror. You never know how long it'll stay open. We appreciate the heads up."

"No problem, like I said, just being neighborly."
