I don't own Naruto.
Suzumi was walking through the streets of Konoha to get to Kakashi's apartment. She was giggling, imagining what his reaction would be.
It had been two weeks since there spar. She had already went to his apartment two times already but both times he was not there. Hopefully, he would be home today.
She reached his apartment and knocked a couple of times. The door opened with Kakashi standing in his casual clothes but with his mask still on his face. It looked like today was his off day. "Hi!"
"Hi!"
"You don't look surprise to see me. Aren't you curious, how did I knew the way to your home?" She asked when he continued looking at her with lazy eyes and not even a bit surprised.
"I knew you were following me that day." Kakashi knew that she would be coming to his apartment but when, he hadn't known.
"Oh," She answered lamely. And here she thought that he hadn't found out. They both continue to look at each other awkwardly for a few minutes until she broke it. "I'm sorry."
"Don't worry about it."
"Okay. But you are at fault too, you know. If you had just gave me permission to come with you, I wouldn't have to follow you." She replied back stubbornly. She didn't want to take all the blame. And if he had just let her when she asked, she wouldn't have done that what she did.
"Hai, I would keep that in mind for the next time."
"Well aren't you gonna let me inside or are you planning to making me stand her for the rest of the day?" Kakashi just stepped aside, letting her in. When she did, he closed the door behind them.
Suzumi stepped into his living room to see a couch with a table in front of it with a few papers scattered on it and a bookshelf in one corner of the room. There was only one other room which she assumed to be his. The living room had an attached kitchen too where Kakashi was currently making a tea for both of them. "I don't like tea. So don't bother with it."
"You don't?" Now Kakashi was really surprised. Kakashi stopped what he was doing and looked at her surprised. She was the first person who he had met, who didn't liked it.
"Okay then what would you like?" Kakashi asked, watching her sit on the couch. He really don't know what to do. This was the first time he had someone into his home. He had never invited anyone, so he didn't know how to be a good host. He just only knew how to be a good ninja.
She looked at him and smiled. "A glass of water would be alright."
"Hai."
Kakashi returned to her side with a glass of water and presented it to her. She took it from him with a thanks and drank it in one breath. After drinking the water, she put the glass on the table near the papers. Kakashi sat beside her on the couch. "Did I intruded you while you were working?"
"No, you didn't. My work is just almost finished."
"Well, you can continue your work. I will just read one of the books from the bookshelf." As if to prove her point she got up and went to the shelf. Kakashi shrugged and returned to writing his report of the mission he had recently went on.
