Toshinori's Choice
Chapter twenty-two: Into the work studies
Mirio, Tamaki, and Nejire were seen walking in the direction of the Class 1-B dorm building after getting back onto campus at UA one late afternoon, close to evening. The work studies have begun, and right now the Big Three were returning some students to their dorm. Well, Tamaki and Nejire were returning some students to the Class 1-B dorm building; Mirio was alone and simply went with his friends to help see their junior hero students off safely. Tamaki was escorting Tetsutetsu while Nejire was escorting both Kinoko and Hiryu.
"I still don't understand why Fatgum seemed so unamused with me," Tetsutetsu said, "I mean, I had no part in sabotaging Class 1-A! Neither did Kinoko or Hiryu!"
"I think it's safe to say that Fatgum was more unamused when you informed him that the takoyaki stand he likes going to was out of stock when he sent you to check," Tamaki said, "He got the full details from Vlad King about who all was and wasn't part of the sabotage done against Class 1-A, Fatgum knows you're good."
Komori nodded in the affirmative. "I believe Ryukyu when told of why Monoma and some of the others led that sabotage against Class 1-A said something about how Monoma and his fellows, by doing what they did, showed that they had a mindset similar to that of Endeavor's, caring more about standing out and being the best over making sure everyone's alright."
Hiryu nodded in agreement. "Yeah, constantly trying to compete with and one-up Class 1-A has not made Monoma come off looking good."
Nejire, noticing that Mirio was being awfully silent, spoke up, "Hey Mirio, you've been awfully silent. What's on your mind?"
"I'm still bummed about how I had gotten off on the wrong foot with Class 1-A," Mirio said in a dejected tone, "How I said the wrong things, did the wrong things, at the wrong times. Now I'm afraid that my junior students hate me."
"Yeah, I got the deets from Kirishima," Tetsutetsu said, "You calling him and his classmates sore losers after you beat them all, and right after Monoma called them sore losers because they complained about his efforts making them fail the provisional licence exams, was NOT good timing at all."
As the Big Three rounded a corner to see the Class 1-B dorm building in sight, they saw some of Class 1-A's students tiredly enter the Class 1-A dorm building. "You think now would be a good time to try and apologize?" Mirio asked.
"Dude, they look worn out from their supplementary lessons to try and get their provisional licences," Tamaki said, "Leave them be."
"Ooh, I think the Uraraka girl is one of the ones we just saw go into the Class 1-A dorm building," Nejire said.
Pointing on ahead, Hiryu said, "You mean the super fat girl with hair similar to Kinoko's? Yeah, that's Uraraka."
A look of consideration appeared on Nejire's face. "...I got it that Uraraka's folks took Asui in. I didn't see Asui, but maybe Uraraka can get her for me." To Mirio and Tamaki, Nejire said, "Can you guys take Komori and Rin to the Class 1-B dorm building for me? I need to go speak with Asui, there's a few things I wanna ask her that concerns something she told me earlier." The two boys in the Big Three nodded in understanding before they took over escorting Kinoko and Hiryu for Nejire while she dashed off to go speak with at least Tsuyu.
Nejire, as she dashed off to go speak with Tsuyu, had a grim look of worry on her face as she recalled a little meeting that she was present for, when Ryukyu as well as Mirko both spoke privately with Tsuyu who was accompanied by Ochaco. Nejire, as she recalled those memories while heading off to speak with Tsuyu, couldn't help but feel worried about what's to come, couldn't help but feel concerned for Tsuyu's sake, couldn't help but feel worried for the sake of two young kids who were in a rather bad spot at the moment...
(FLASHBACK)
Nejire stood behind Ryukyu as the Dragon Hero, accompanied by Mirko the Rabbit Hero, had a private talk with Tsuyu and Ochaco in a meeting room on UA grounds. The two girls of Class 1-A were informing Ryukyu and Mirko of what they had learned, that the good news is that Tsuyu's missing younger siblings Satsuki and Samidare are now confirmed to be alright. But it was the bad news, that Satsuki and Samidare had become the elite bodyguards of the villain Dabi, Usagi and Felgrand respectively, that knocked some of the wind out of the sails of Japan's top ranking female pro heroes.
Even Mirko looked heartbroken, horrified, as she held her hands over her mouth. "No... no fucking way... that Usagi chick that some of the other pro heroes and I fought at the Battle of Kamino Ward..." Gulping nervously, the Rabbit Hero went on, "...She's... she's only a six-year-old girl?"
"This... really is troubling," Ryukyu said, "How two young kids got so many quirks aside, it's clear that Dabi is using how they're hurting over Endeavor's recklessness killing their parents to manipulate them into serving him. The Yaoyorozu girl's words about how both Samidare and Satsuki are wanting to get vengeance on Endeavor helps to paint the picture that Endeavor is the target of their ire."
"But it's also clear they aren't TOO consumed by their desires for getting back at Endeavor," Ochaco said, "Yaoyorozu noted how Tsuyu's little siblings did NOT like it at all how some of the girls from that hero school Uwabami founded were trash talking Tsuyu. Me and Tsuyu's classmate Izuku was also witness to Tsuyu's little siblings' reactions to being told that they not only missed seeing Tsuyu again but that they were never going to get to see her again. That Inasa guy really should have thought about what he said before he said it."
Stepping forward, Nejire said, "But we can infer from how they reacted in those situations that Tsuyu's little siblings still both love her. It's possible that Tsuyu will be able to reason with her little siblings."
Tsuyu, who looked upset with what her little siblings were going through, spoke up. "All Might said that it took everything he had to just knock out Satsuki during the Battle of Kamino Ward kero. And he also says that from what his intel he gathered says, Samidare is far more powerful. Given what was seen when both Samidare and Satsuki were part of the efforts during the attack on the provisional licence exams, I think it's safe to say that neither Satsuki nor Samidare can be stopped. At least in direct combat anyway kero."
Mirko settled down enough, folded her arms over her chest as she wore a resigned look on her face. "Your little sister... she fan-girled over seeing me at the Battle of Kamino Ward. I was even able to get her to take pause for a moment as I tried to reason with her, tried to ask her why she had it out for that flaming sack of shit that ended up going villain."
"Well you are the pro hero that Satsuki likes the most," Tsuyu remarked to the Rabbit Hero, "It doesn't surprise me that she would take pause if she sees you. The fact that you were able to get Satsuki to take pause and listen to you as you tried talking to her, at least before Endeavor had to go and interrupt things, shows that you can attempt to reason with her. Similarly, I suspect that Ryukyu can achieve similar results, but with Samidare instead."
The Dragon Hero gave a single, understanding nod before letting out a troubled sigh. "Were it not for mandates from both the government and the remains of the HPSC, then you and your peers could have been brought out into the field," Ryukyu said to Tsuyu and Ochaco, "Heck, I would have even offered you two internships at my agency. But you and your classmates are barred even from being employed by hero agencies." Ryukyu folded her arms over her chest, an unamused scowl on her face. "That Monoma boy had messed up more than he realized, and all in the name of having his class continue its rivalry with yours."
Ochaco looked similarly as unamused, a pouty looking frown on her plump face. "He isn't even sorry or regretful about what he and those who conspired with him had done. He even laughs and brags at us whenever he sees us, saying stuff along the lines of how it's now him and his classmates' time to be in the spotlight."
Mirko made an annoyed scoffing sound. "Man, someone ought to knock some sense into that boy." The others agreed to varying degrees, and the meeting ended on more or less a sour note. But there was some hope, that being how Ryukyu and Mirko were going to be doing some teaming up in the future. The two highest ranked female heroes in the country working together; that was going to be inspiring.
(FLASHBACK OVER)
Nejire's mind was still swimming with thoughts of the past conversation as she dashed over to the Class 1-A dorm. The sole girl of the Big Three had a gut feeling that, in the troubles to come in the immediate future, there may be a run-in with Tsuyu's little siblings out in the field. With the frog girl herself unable to venture out into the field due to being held back by mandate, the best shot to reason with Satsuki and Samidare couldn't even be used. As such, it would have to fall to Mirko to have to try to reason with Usagi, while Ryukyu would have to try to reason with Felgrand.
There WAS some hope the top lady heroes of Japan would succeed; Mirko actually DID see some success during the Battle of Kamino Ward when she got Usagi to take pause so she could ask her some questions. If Mirko could do it once before, then it stands to reason that she can do it again. She sort of has to be able to do it again. And Ryukyu, in addition to Felgrand being a fan of hers, will also have something of an advantage because Felgrand technically is on the spectrum, and the Dragon Hero has a lot of experience working with kids that are on the spectrum.
Mirko and Ryukyu were going to need every advantage that they could get their hands on.
The next day, the work studies started in earnest. The day went well enough, but it was night-time where things got complicated. There were two thugs who both had Gigantification quirks, and they both went giant to have a slug fest with one another in the city. It was causing quite a bit of damage, although the fight between the two giants was interrupted when Nejire flew in and fired an energy wave at one of the giants, making him stumble backwards. "Are you both fighting because you both got Gigantification quirks?" Nejire asked, "That's boring."
The two giant villains both looked at Nejire, but the one that Nejire didn't hit was taken by surprise when a giant Monoma suddenly grew up behind him and caught the giant villain in a full nelson, meanwhile the giant villain who Nejire hit began to sink a bit. Looking down, Nejire saw that Juzo was causing the second giant villain to sink with his Softening quirk. "He's stuck now, Nejire-senpai!" Juzo called out, "That oughta make him an easier target!" Not questioning it, Nejire decided to fire another wave of energy at the second giant villain.
The second giant villain was knocked out, and soon the first one was as well as he couldn't get away due to giant Monoma having him in a full nelson. After both giant villains were knocked out, Monoma shrank back down. As Nejire landed, she saw Yosetsu and Nirengeki walk up to join Juzo. "Dude, how did your hero outfit NOT rip apart when you went giant?" Yosetsu asked, "I figured it'd rip right off of you and leave you in the buff when you went giant."
"My outfit is made of the same material used in making costumes that transform with the persons wearing them," Monoma explained, "Since my quirk lets me copy the quirks of others, and some quirks make the users transform, I figured that it'd be a wise idea to think ahead."
Nejire gave Monoma an unamused look. "You weren't thinking ahead when you and some of your fellows who you led decided that sabotaging Class 1-A to make all of them fail the provisional licence exams was a good idea."
"But my classmates and I are the ones getting to work out in the field," Monoma pointed out, "We're the ones getting to show off what we can do! It's us and not those glory-obsessed spotlight hogs in 1-A!" Gesturing to where the two giant villains, both having shrunken back down to normal size, laid on the ground knocked out, the blonde boy of Class 1-B went on, "Do you think those fame seekers in 1-A could have done this?"
Nejire's arms were folded over her chest, she looked at Monoma with an unamused scowl. "We'll never know for sure if any of them could have or not, because you and some of your peers are the very kind of people that you're accusing 1-A of being. You're showing how you're obsessed with being in the spotlight, you're showing that it's basking in glory and admiration that you want. You want to be at the top, and you are willing to, you have done, anything possible to achieve it." Nejire's glare at the blonde boy of 1-B narrowed. "You're no better than Endeavor."
Monoma went wide-eyed with shocked offence. "Excuse you!" Monoma snapped at Nejire, "But do I look like a villain to you? Have I ever been brazenly reckless? Have I ever taken a life? You go too far, Nejire-senpai!"
"You can't even take criticism that rightfully comes your way," Nejire went on, keeping calmer than Monoma the whole time, "Monoma, no matter how much you deny it, no matter how much you boast that you and your peers deserve to stand out, you by doing what you had done are in the wrong. You by doing what you had done have screwed up, have restricted the amount of manpower the heroes can field right now and the heroes need to field as much manpower as possible, all because of how you were jealous. Being a hero is more about doing good, doing the right thing, than standing out and one-upping rivals in one-sided rivalries." Gesturing to Monoma, Nejire went on, "Again, you're letting your inner Endeavor shine."
As the hero students argued, Ryukyu came flying in with Hiryu and Kinoko on her back. The two got off, and Ryukyu changed back to her human form. "I see that some interns from other pro heroes came to help you, Nejire," Ryukyu remarked. Her tone was a bit icy as she shot a glare at Monoma, but the Dragon Hero's icy tone relaxed when she saw the other 1-B boys on the scene. Ryukyu got the details, she knows that Yosetsu, Nirengeki, and Juzo are all good. To the students as a whole, Ryukyu went on, "Anyway, you kids all did a lot of good. You ought to be proud of that."
The hero students all bowed their heads respectfully to the Dragon Hero. "Thank you, Ryukyu," the students said in unison. Even Nejire was a part of it.
Ryukyu considered Monoma with an unfavoring eye for a moment before she relaxed and focused on the kids as a whole. "Anyway, there's a big plan being thrown together, and by a former sidekick of All Might's. I'm not sure if all of you ought to be brought in on it as it'll involve some very risky work, but with how there's currently a climate of danger going on right now, I don't think that there's much of a choice as the heroes of Japan will need literally pair of hands on deck. That being said, if and when you kids are brought in to help, you WILL listen to the orders of your pro hero superiors."
The students all nodded in understanding. Some of the 1-B students were a bit nervous, one or two felt ashamed, and one was actually rather eager as it'd be the chance for 1-B to finally stand out and prove themselves. It will be Class 1-B's ticket to finally getting some glory, finally getting the spotlight shone on them, and the one student of 1-B who was eager for the chance for glory intended to keep things in a way so that 1-B will never be shoved to the side again. 1-A has had more than its fair share of time in center stage. The work studies were totally going to be all about Class 1-B.
They're just as good, if not better, than Class 1-A.
Meanwhile, over in the Eshua Market located in the Kansai region, Tetsutetsu and Tamaki were following along behind Fatgum. "Sorry if I gave you cause for worry, Steel," Fatgum said, his tone and expression conveying genuine worry and concern, "I got the full details from your teacher Vlad King so I know you aren't one of the kids in your class guilty of the sabotage. I wouldn't of hired you as an intern if you were."
Tetsutetsu looked similarly concerned. "Sorry, it's just that you kinda worried me with how disappointed you looked and sounded."
"It was because a food stall was out of a food that Fat here likes," Tamaki explained.
Tetsutetsu let out a sigh before he and the others heard someone cry out, "Oi, get back here!" Turning to look, Tetsutetsu, Fatgum, and Tamaki saw a group of thugs try to make a break for it.
Smirking in amusement, Fatgum said, "Well alright, that there is the perfect chance for you boys to get in some field experience, you especially Steel!"
At Fatgum's command, Tetsutetsu and Tamaki tried rushing in. One thug tried to escape using his quirk, which was similar to Edgeshot's. But Tamaki, using his quirk to make his fingers morph and grow into octopus-like tentacles, was able to catch and subdue the thug in question. "Nice catch, Tamaki-senpai," Tetsutetsu said as he and Fatgum ran around to go after the other thugs.
"All he needs is to come out of his shell more!" Fatgum said, "Once he has that down pat, he'll be able to trump a lot of folks who are already pro heroes!"
Tamaki had an embarrassed look on his face. "You guys are embar-"
"Look out!" Tetsutetsu yelled, cutting Tamaki off as he leapt to stand between Tamaki and something else. That something else turned out to be a thug with a gun taking aim at Tamaki and firing. But the person shot instead was Tetsutetsu who, with Steel active, was unharmed.
"Everyone down now!" Fatgum yelled, "We got an armed thug here!" The civilians in the area all got down, some crying out in panic. The armed thug, realizing that his bound fellows couldn't be rescued, decided to book it, but seeing that just made Tetsutetsu run after him. Fat Gum, once the other thugs still in the area were taken down, gave chase to help Tetsutetsu.
...
Eventually, Tetsutetsu caught up to the thug in an alleyway. The thug, in desperation, emptied the rest of his gun's clip at Tetsutetsu, but it was rendered moot due to Tetsutetsu's resilience thanks to Steel. But he could tell that he was getting close to suffering from Iron Fatigue, and once that set in the effectiveness of his Steel-like defensive form would be diminished greatly, at least until he replenished the amount of iron in his body. It's part of why Tetsutetsu had adopted something of an iron-rich diet, it helps with maintaining the effectiveness of his quirk.
Figuring that it'd be best to rush in and strike the thug hard enough to knock him out, Tetsutetsu ran in to punch the thug upside the head. The thug then used his quirk, making blades grow out of his body, and sent those blades right at Tetsutetsu. But the steel like hardness of Tetsutetsu's form, although its effectiveness was starting to wane, made that assault redundant. Tetsutetsu was even able to chop a few blades into pieces as he closed the gap, and was just about to punch the thug in the face to knock him out and make bringing him into custody a hell of a lot easier. But then...
*SCLORCH*
"GAAHH!"
Iron Fatigue had set in. One of the thug's conjured blades was able to cut Tetsutetsu along his side, and a few more blades cut him in a few more places. A cut along the side of his left shin even made Tetsutetsu drop to one knee, and the assault only stopped when the thug saw that he was finally on the winning end of his conflict against the Steel quirk boy. "Ah ha!" the thug boasted, "That's what you get for trying to play hero! Now I'll be-"
*HUHWAPAP*
The thug was cut off when he was struck upside along the side of his head and thrown into a wall, getting knocked out in the process. Tetsutetsu, who was in great pain, saw who it was that had saved him, and to his surprise it was a kid. Fair skinned, dark hair with the bangs covering one of his eyes, and he wore a blue cloak with a collar that went up a bit to cover the lower part of his head; at the very least Tetsutetsu could only see the kid's exposed left eye. There was also a small black belt that was around the raised collar of the cloak, as if it was there to help keep the cloak in place.
The boy looked at the injured Tetsutetsu. "...This one here," the boy said while pointing at the thug he knocked out, "He's a customer who bought a few doses of a drug called Trigger from some of the thugs that the now villainous Endeavor has working for him. La Brava was able to obtain the information at Mr. Dabi's request."
Tetsutetsu's eyes widened in surprise at what the kid was telling him. Also, given how he was mentioning Dabi and La Brava, two known members of Dabi's Crew, by name, he was obviously a member of said group himself. There's also how the boy had addressed Dabi as 'Mr. Dabi', something that Tetsutetsu got that only Tsuyu Asui's little siblings who fell in with Dabi's Crew, Satsuki and Samidare, do. Tetsutetsu struggled to get to his feet, and the lower half of his left leg wasn't exactly responding properly to what his brain tried telling it.
Tetsutetsu was able to prop himself up into a leaning standing position against a dumpster. "You..." Tetsutetsu said to the boy, "...You're one of Asui's little siblings."
The boy's one visible eye narrowed a bit out of consideration. "...Yeah, Tsuyu is my big sis. My name's Samidare, in case you didn't know." Samidare, who Tetsutetsu was able to get is the dragon villain Felgrand, was right there in front of Tetsutetsu. The Steel quirk boy saw what Samidare looked like when not transformed. The now identified Samidare looked at Tetsutetsu. The boy's expression, his tone, took on a cool yet dangerous hint as he spoke to Tetsutetsu, "...You aren't going to tell me that I'm not going to be able to ever see my big sister again, are you?"
"On the contrary," Tetsutetsu began immediately, "I wanna try and help arrange something of a family reunion for you, your older sister, and your little sister." It wasn't just a strong dash of fear that drove Tetsutetsu, fear that came about due to bearing witness to how Samidare and Satsuki, back then in their forms of Felgrand and Usagi, reacted to the ill considered and ill timed boasting of Inasa. Tetsutetsu honestly felt that the Asui siblings really ought to be back together.
Samidare chuckled a bit. "...A family reunion for me and my sisters. That does sound nice." Gently shaking his head, Samidare went on, "But not likely in the immediate future. Satsuki and I still need to track down and beat up Endeavor, make him suffer as he had made us suffer." Samidare then looked to the thug he had knocked out. "That one there ought to have some intel on the operations of the group run by Endeavor. I highly doubt that he'll know how to get to Endeavor himself, but he could be a lead to help get to that goal."
Turning back to look at Tetsutetsu, Samidare said, "I have little other choice, so I will leave that one there to you. You're a hero or at least a hero student, you can make sure that one there is taken into custody and made to spill what all he knows." Samidare then sped away, right after Fat Gum appeared in the entrance to the alleyway, Tamaki at his side.
"Steel! You okay?!" Fat Gum exclaimed upon seeing Tetsutetsu's condition.
"The knocked out thug over there did this to me," Tetsutetsu said, pointing to the knocked out thug. At Fat Gum's gesture, Tamaki rushed in to secure the thug. "I... I saw Felgrand," Tetsutetsu said, drawing surprised looks out of Fat Gum and Tamaki, "He wasn't in his dragon form or anything. He told me that the thug ought to have intel on Endeavor's operations, including the use of a drug called Trigger. The kid then took off."
Fat Gum looked at Tetsutetsu's cut leg. "...I'm guessing you couldn't get away with your bad leg?" Fat Gum asked.
"If I was able to, I would have fled the moment I realized I was talking to one of Dabi's two elite bodyguards," Tetsutetsu said.
Fat Gum nodded approvingly. "Yeah, I can't blame you for that. If Tamaki and I were here with you when Felgrand showed up, I'd have ordered you boys to both turn tail and run away." Tamaki secured the thug, and carried him out of the alleyway. Similarly, Fat gum helped Tetsutetsu out of the alleyway. The thug was well enough so, after he was slapped with a pair of quirk suppressing cuffs, he was taken to the station. As for Tetsutetsu, his injuries plus the bloodloss he suffered necessitated him having to go to the hospital.
Not the best start to Class 1-B being in the spotlight after kicking Class 1-A off to the side.
The following morning over at UA, Monoma, Hiryu, Kinoko, Juzo, Yosetsu, and Nirengeki were the center of attention for the rest of Class 1-B. "Dudes, you guys made the news," Setsuna began, a hint of concern in her tone.
Monoma, with a smug look of amusement on his face, said, "Well of course! We're just as capa-"
"But not necessarily in a good way," Itsuka spoke up, cutting Monoma off.
Arching a wry eyebrow, Monoma asked, "How do you mean?"
Gesturing to the students everyone else was focused on, Itsuka with an unamused scowl on her face said, "Because the main claim to fame that our class has now, the first thing known about us by the public, is what all was spoken of when you Monoma got into an argument with Nejire-senpai! That includes the fact that Class 1-A failed the provisional licence exams because you and a few of the other idiots in our class sabotaged them to make them fail! Why else do you think Kan-sensei is late getting to class? He's dealing with answering questions!"
Yui took out her phone and used it to pull up a news article before showing it to everyone else. Said article talked about how, although it was thankfully only speculation right now, 'All Might's son and his peers were sabotaged by bitter rivals' as the article said, and further went on to liken said 'bitter rivals' to the now villainous Endeavor who was still on the run. Also, given that the conspirators behind the sabotage weren't identified, it was currently being assumed by the people of Japan that ALL of UA's Class 1-B was responsible for the sabotage, and not just Monoma and a few idiots.
To make matters even worse for Monoma and the rest of his classmates, the only other article talking about them mentioned how Tetsutetsu was critically injured and currently in the hospital, with rumors surfacing that he suffered nerve damage that will permanently cripple him because of some slicing cuts he suffered. Also word got out he encountered a member of the villainous group led by the villain Dabi but failed to stop said person from fleeing, also the villain had essentially done Tetsutetsu's job of defeating a thug for him before deciding to bail.
All in all, UA's Class 1-B are finally in the spotlight, but their first time in it basically shone a light on where people can throw tomatoes at. Lowering her phone, Yui said, "Yeah, we're finally in the spotlight instead of Class 1-A, Monoma. Just as you wanted. But word of you and some of the others sabotaging Class 1-A had gotten out, although thankfully it's only speculation right now as far as the public eye is aware. And Tetsutetsu not only is hurt really bad, but I heard from Recovery Girl that the severed nerve damage Tetsutetsu suffered in one of his legs is bad enough to not only permanently cripple him, but it will most likely necessitate him having to drop out of the hero course."
Shrugging, Monoma said, "At... least he's still alive?" Regaining some composure, Monoma went on, "And who's to say any of those sorry louts in 1-A would have fared any better?"
Yosetsu pinched the space between his eyes, letting out an exasperated sigh. "...I fail to see how things right now can get any worse for us."
"Dude, saying words along those lines then to jinx things," Nirengeki said.
Scoffing, Yosetsu said, "Oh please, dude. There's no way that-"
Yosetsu got cut off when Ibara came barreling into the classroom, clearly in a panic. Seeing her devout classmate looking so panicked, Itsuka asked, "Shiozaki, what's the matter?"
"It's... it's that Eri girl who the teachers here at UA had taken in," Ibara began, barely able to get the words out properly, "According to Kan-sensei, Eri was taken off campus by a new hire to the UA staff, a new hire that used to be a sidekick employed by the now defunct Endeavor agency." Swallowing nervously, Ibara went on, "Yeah, it turned out said former Endeavor sidekick kidnapped Eri at Endeavor's word! Villains now have Eri in their grasp!"
As the students of Class 1-B as a whole freaked out, Nirengeki turned to look at Yosetsu, shooting him a dry, knowing look. Scowling as he rolled his eyes, Yosetsu said, "Dude, shut up."
END, CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO
Author's notes;
This chapter covers the beginning of the shenanigans with the Shie Hassakai, only none of Class 1-A will get to participate. Instead, it will be all Class 1-B, and already there are signs that Monoma screwed up by doing the equivalent of taking without asking. Word of the sabotage efforts he led got out although right now it's only some speculation in-story, and Tetsutetsu not only is crippled but he lets a member of Dabi's Crew escape. Tetsutetsu didn't die, and no students will die. But things will still get risky, especially as Eri was kidnapped from UA by one of Endeavor's spies.
