(In another place…)

Zack was playing basketball at another school. After the chosen kids separated, Zack had moved to that place to prepare to enter high school. In addition, he had shown great ability for that sport that he would surely win a scholarship one day. However, he had a flaw while playing...

"Hey Zack!" a boy yelled at him, "Give it to me!"

But he didn't listen or just didn't pay the most attention, as he went through two players by himself and managed to shoot and dunk the ball with great speed. The score was 42 to 16 and most of the scores had been made by him. When he finished the game, it seemed, none of his teammates were so happy.

"Come on guys!" Zack told the others, "We won!"

"Did we win or did you win?" asked his coach, who approached the tired team.

"Well, I…"

"Zack, you are very good and skillful, but you need to be more cooperative. In a team, there is no such thing as 'I', do you understand?"

"Yes, I understand..." he replied, quite discouraged.

During the rest of the classes, Zack reflected on what had happened in the game: he had led his team to victory, but they also wanted to contribute their own, was it true that he only thought about him? Then, he remembered when he was younger... that fantastic adventure as a Shinx that could evolve into Luxio and Luxray.

And not only his evolution, but the rest of his team that he had that time also appreciated him... although those were other times: he had matured, but had he done it correctly?

"When the classes are over, I have to talk to the boys" he thought as he listened to the bell in his classroom.

Later, when they left the school, Zack approached to 3 teammates from the basketball team.

"Guys, the coach was right: I'm sorry I played without taking you into account" he told them.

"Okay, we just hope you seriously pass the ball once in a while," said one of the guys.

"Does anyone want to eat ice cream?" Zack asked, trying to make things better. However, suddenly several screams were heard.

"What's going on?" asked another of the boys. However, the answer came in the form of a roar.

Zack, recognizing it, ran off in that direction. His companions thought it was crazy, but they followed him at a distance. When he got to the palce, Zack didn't believe his eyes: a Pyroar was roaring out of control and destroying several cars. People who didn't know him were yelling about a runaway lion.

"No, it's not possible..." he said to himself, "How can a Pokemon be in this world?"

The Pyroar began setting fire to various areas of the street. Zack knew that if he didn't stop it, Pyroar could hit some gas object and it would all be tragedy. With some doubts, he ran towards him before the skeptical looks of his teammates, who believed that she was going towards his end.

"Pyroar!" Zack yelled at him, "Stop! What are you doing here?"

But the Pokemon just looked at him with a hateful face and proceeded to throw a Flamethrower at him. Luckily, the boy dodged it in time. He couldn't understand, why didn't he listen to him? Had he lost the ability to understand them or was it something else?

Zack came to his senses when he heard several screams: the Pyroar was approaching his companions. Without giving it much thought this time, the chosen boy mounted on the Pokemon, grabbing it by the mane, to which it shook in order to get rid of that hindrance. Finally, he did, and Zack slid to the ground, dropping his cell phone near him.

The boy looked at him and Mew's words came to mind. So, he took his cell phone and asked with all his might to evolve again.

Pyroar, for his part, forgot about the boy who had mounted on him and seemed to want 3 instead of 1. At that moment, Zack's cell phone shone and divided into two objects: his usual cell phone and a new Pokephone. Pyroar and the other boys turned their eyes to see what had happened.

"My Pokephone..." Zack said to himself. Then, he looked at the Pyroar, "I hope it works like before... Time for evolve!"

Immediately, the Pokephone glowed and Zack felt his body start to change again, just like old times. The next second, he was back in his Shinx body. However, he still wasn't done.

"Shinx evolves into…Luxio!"

Again, his body evolved and became a Luxio again. The Pyroar looked at him as if he was now more interesting than the other boys, who also gaped at the transformation.

The Pyroar jumped on Zack, intending to start fighting.

"Thunderbolt!" Zack attacked, firing a powerful electric shock at him.

The Pyroar met it squarely, but seemed to resist and continued to attack. Before he sank his claws into his opponent, Zack jumped back and launched into a Quick Attack. Skull to skull collided in that headbutt, but this annoyed the Pyroar and, spinning on its hindquarters, attacked it with an Iron Tail.

Zack went flying, but regained his composure in the air. His enemy then launched a Smoke Screen, which covered the place and made it difficult to see. Nevertheless, the Luxio knew what he had to do.

"Don't think I can't see through this smoke!" he yelled at the same time that the symbol of lightning lit up on his chest.

His Pokephone glowed again.

"Luxio ultra evolves to… Luxray!"

Out of the smoke, an adult Luxray pounced on the Pyroar, making it look like a battle between lions, the kind you see in documentaries. The difference was that, with each bite or claw, there were electric or fire sparks.

The wrestlers parted, measuring their distance like any feline fight. Then, the Pyroar bared its fangs, from which quite a bit of fire was pouring out.

"Fire Fang..." Zack guessed, "In that case..."

Zack ran electricity from him to the front of his body, generating a pair of electrical fangs.

"Thunder Fang!" Zack attacked.

The Pyroar attacked as well, and in the next second, both lions were colliding back and forth with those powerful attacks. Already tired of his rival, Pyroar launched a Flamethrower that the Luxray was able to dodge, but realized that it was aimed at his companions. He wouldn't make it on time...

A figure flew swiftly between the fire and the boys, taking the attack full on. This did not hurt him, because it was...

"Rex?!" Zack yelled upon recognizing his old friend, in his Charizard body.

"I'm fine!" Rex replied, "You finish the battle! I'll take care of the fire!"

"OK!"

Zack focused back on the Pyroar, who was preparing another Flamethrower. Then, at the moment he was gathering energy in his mouth, the Luxray rushed towards him at high speed.

"Volt Tackle!" he attacked.

Zack hit him in the mouth, causing the Pyroar to choke on his own attack. Furthermore, he received the powerful shock of the tackle and his body did not allow him to move. Suddenly, an object from his neck fell due to a short circuit: a black ring.

Pyroar roared in pain and fell to the ground. Zack's Pokephone then shone in front of the defeated Pokemon and shrunk it into an Ultra Ball, which was inserted into the same device. Zack returned to his original form and Rex, who had put out the rest of the fires, as well.

"Rex!" Zack greeted him, "Dude… we haven't seen each other in a while, are you okay? What's going on here?"

"I wish this reunion had been calmer, but I also had to face a Dragonite" Rex explained, "Something bad is happening, and we have to find out what"

"And the others?"

"That's what I thought, we must also find them"

"Then we should go see Rose, I have some news about her."

"What kind of news?"

"Some rumor of a candidacy for a fashion show... which is also hard for me to believe"

"Zack?" asked one of the basketball buddies.

"Oh! This... I know I have a lot to tell, but let's leave it for another day" the young man excused himself, "I have to go away for a while, excuse me with the coach, please"

(From a distance…)

A drone with a camera had captured that battle, and someone, along with human scientists, was watching from the shadows.

"The Pokemon are strong, but these youngsters are just as powerful and have a conscience of their own…" said that guy, "While they're here, they're a hindrance to our plans… Find those guys and eliminate them! And speed up the Genesect and Hybrids projects!"
