(In the same city, that same day…)

In one of those fashion clothing stores, several ladies designed and tried on various dresses, among which were wedding dresses, with flower designs, coats, and many others. Some of the same women tried it on, but there was one lady in particular to try on youth clothing…

"Come on Rose!" her mother told her, "You must be ready in 15 minutes!"

"Don't rush mom, there's plenty of time..." she replied, dressed in a spring outfit, "How do I look?"

"Beautiful, my girl"

After several years, Rose had continued flower arranging, until she had the opportunity to earn quite a bit of money and expand her grandmother's shop by competing in a fashion show. She achieved it in her first competition and, liking modeling so much at an early age, she became obsessed with it. And, since her mother was a specialist in fashion design, she gave everything to her daughter. She was no longer a worried child, but a carefree young lady.

"Ma'am, some young people have arrived and want to speak to Miss Rose" her assistant told her.

"Can't you see we're busy?" the lady complained, "Besides, they could be neighborhood kids and my daughter isn't up for it"

"Or maybe not, mom..." her daughter told her.

"There please, my girl... you are a lady and we are not for..."

"Rose! Are you here?" asked an awfully familiar voice.

"Zack?" the girl asked, coming down the catwalk and running to the waiting room.

And, just as she thought, there was Zack, wearing his sports uniform as always, but there was also Rex, another of her classmates from hers from a long time ago.

"Zack! Rex!" her old friend greeted them, despite her mother's complaints, "They are my childhood friends, mom... don't worry"

"Excuse us ma'am" Rex told her, "But we wanted to talk to our friend"

"Okay" the lady calmed down, "But she must have a fashion show in a few minutes"

"I'm sorry about that, my mother takes the punctuality of these events seriously" Rose said once her mother had left, "Anyway, what's going on?"

"This," Rex replied, showing his device and Zack his. Seeing it, Rose couldn't hide the disbelief on her face.

"How…? When?" she asked.

"We'll explain…" Zack said, and then he and Rex explained the situation. When they finished, Rose was more shocked than ever.

"That's why we're bringing the team together again," Rex finished, "We must find out who's behind this and stop him."

"I would like to help you, but I have a contest later…"

"It's a joke, isn't it? There are Pokemon attacking the human world! No time for modeling games!"

"Games?" Rose replied somewhat annoyed by that comment, "Just so you know, I have made progress with this and in the future I will be a professional model"

"And what happened to the girl who wanted a flower garden to make many happy?"

"That's a thing of the past..." Rose was embarrassed.

Before she gave her a chance to explain, Rose's mother came out from behind her, apparently she had heard everything.

"In case you didn't know, my mother's garden is a thing of the past and she hasn't left me in charge of the shop since she passed away," her mother explained, "Besides, my girl is the star of the fashion walk and she has better things to do than to be in children's games"

Rex and Zack had no intention of arguing with the lady, so turning around, Rex said to Rose:

"Good luck with your dreams, Rose" he told her, "Let's go, Zack"

The two boys left, Rose meditating for a few moments before her mother led her back. When they left, Zack asked Rex:

"And now, what are we going to do?"

"We can't force her to put herself at risk for Pokemon battles again," Rex replied, "We'll wait until her fashion show and ask her after. Also, we have spent a lot of energy in the previous battles. Let's go for something to eat and then come back in a few minutes"

"Sounds logical" Zack said, feeling his arms a little tired.

(A few minutes later…)

In the hottest hour of the day, the boys gathered near Broadway, as they had agreed, to look for Rose after her fashion show. It didn't take long for them to say where they would find it:

The lights, the applause, the glitter, the music and the decorations… what any young model with a desire for beauty wants. It was, after all, one of the best events in the city, and several young debutants walked in their best dresses. Among the future promises was Rose, debuting a dress from a spring outfit.

"I have to admit that she is very pretty" commented Zack.

"I can't deny that, mate" Rex replied.

Despite the noise he was making, Rex managed to hear 2 small beeps somewhere in his body. Zack also noticed that and they both put their hands in their pockets to discover that they were the Pokephones.

"What's going on?" Rex asked, noticing that some kind of virtual map had appeared.

"It's two dots together... I think it must be you and me" Zack realized, "... and there is a red dots that is getting closer to us..."

Suddenly, the ground began to shake, it seemed like a simple fate at first, but then a scream was heard, followed by another. Then several of them would point to something that provoked them: a huge Donphan bearing down on the crowd. On the catwalk, all the girls were running too, except for Rose, who caught up with her classmates despite the chaos of people running away.

"A Donphan!" she said shocked to see it.

"Rose!" her mother shouted.

"Rose, get your mother out of here," Rex told her, "We'll take care of him."

"Yeah, make sure you get everyone out," Zack backed him up, "Come on Rex!"

The two boys ran in the direction of the Donphan. When they got close they held up their Pokephones.

"Time to evolve!"

Their Pokephones glowed and became Charmander and Shinx, and later evolved into Charmeleon and Luxio respectively. The Donphan used Rollout and charged at them so fast that they didn't have time to react.

Rex and Zack were thrown into the air and fell backstage, while their Pokephones went flying. Rose, whose mother was already holding her hand and running away, stopped dead when she saw her friends. Seeing the devices in the air, she caught them.

"Guys!" she yelled.

"Rose, don't go" her mother told her, "It's a monster's fight"

Her mother took her hand again, but she pulled in the opposite direction. Gripping her friends' Pokephones tightly, she replied:

"No mom, they're my friends... and I want to help them"

Meanwhile, Rex and Zack tried to get up from that strong impact that had left their heads buzzing like a honeycomb. Rex reacted for a millisecond before the Donphan charged at them. The elephant Pokemon had reduced that beautiful scenery to splinters, scrap metal and broken glass. Fortunately, all the people had evacuated in time.

"Flamethrower!" Rex attacked.

But this didn't work: the speed at which Donphan was rolling was too fast.

"Thunderbolt!" Zack attacked.

This didn't work either because Donphan was a ground type and they were resistant to electricity. Also, they couldn't evolve any further without their Pokephones.

"Watch out!" Rex yelled, pulling away in time. However, the Donphan spun faster than before and hit him in the back. Despite his size, he moved ever so slightly.

"Rex!" Zack yelled. Then the Donphan headed towards him. Poor Luxio didn't have time to dodge or defend and ended up getting hit by the tank-sized impact.

Finally, the Donphan stopped and began to walk towards the beaten Rex and Zack, with the aim of crushing them. But Rose came between him and his friends.

"Let's see pachyderm…" Rose told him defiantly, "First you destroy the show and now you want to crush my friends… you can mess with the parade, but I won't let you hurt my friends or my mom…"

Two lights came out of Rex and Zack's Pokephones respectively, which joined and created a third device, colored green nature.

"My Pokephone..." Rose said as she remembered those good old days, "Okay... Time for evolve!"

From the glow of that third Pokephone, Rose became a Chikorita, and then evolved into a Beyleef. In doing so, she remembered a little that innocence that she had when she was a little girl. However, before she got it all back, she had to focus on the fight.

Donphan attacked, spinning again at high speed. However, Rose dropped a couple of seeds onto the ground.

"Leech Seed!"

Immediately the seeds sprouted and became a thicket of vines and leaves in which the huge spinning wheel that was Donphan got stuck.

"Razor Blades!" Rose attacked, seizing the opportunity.

Since it lacked speed and defense, this attack was effective, apart from being the grass type, effective against ground. The Donphan fell entangled with its legs intertwined. On the other hand, Rose's mother hadn't left, instead she had watched what her daughter had become in disbelief.

"Rose?" she asked her.

Rose realized that her mother was there. For a moment, she was about to tell her not to be afraid of her. However, the Donphan made an effort and got up to start rolling again. This time, he was heading towards the lady.

"Mother!" Rose yelled. Without noticing it, the leaf symbol appeared on her chest.

Along with the new Pokephone and the symbol, Rose began to evolve again.

"Beyleef Ultra Evolves into…Meganium!"

The Donphan stopped 1 meter from Rose's mother, who stood there in fear. Her daughter, now a Meganium, was holding the Pokemon's fangs with her Vine Whip, which were protruding. However, it was still quite heavy and wanted to let go.

"Get out of here mom!" her daughter yelled at her as she held that heavy Pokemon.

The mother became aware and recognized her daughter. Then, she moved away from her paying attention to her. The Donphan, wanting to let go of that, pulled with such force that he made the Meganium fly, still supported. But Rose wasn't going to let it be that easy: using her own weight and the strength of her vines, she lifted Donphan up while he was still in the air. With a great twist, Rose flung the Pokemon against what was left of the stage.

Rose hit the ground hard, but steady as a cat. From the remains of the stage, Donphan, annoyed, changed his attack and prepared to launch a Hyper Beam. To Rose's good luck, it was still the hottest part of the day.

"Solar beam!" attacked Rose before Donphan's Hyper Beam.

Both beams collided in the air, but the solar one was superior and hit Donphan with everything. When it fell this time, it dropped a dark technological ring. To Rose's surprise, her Pokephone glowed and it encased Donphan in a Pokeball which then entered her device.

"Rose!" Rex and Zack yelled, running towards her.

"Guys, you're alright!" she answered them, meeting up with them and handing their Pokephones back to them.

All three returned to normal.

(A few seconds later...)

"That's why we need you, Rose" Rex told her, "Something very bad is happening and we must come together to combat this threat"

"Well... I guess there won't be any catwalks for a while..." Rose said, looking at the mess that had been made, "I guess traveling again could be fun."

Rose smiled at her friends. But, behind them, she saw her mother approaching to the three friends.

"Mom..." she said when she saw her, "I know I have a lot to tell you, but..."

"We can take a little time" Zack told her, "Rex and I already did it with our families, you can do it too"

"OK…"

However, while Rose was explaining everything to her mother, another drone, different from the one that had spied on before, caught them from afar.

"They can be our hope against these monster attacks" a voice said, "Follow and watch over them from afar. Don't hurt them, they are allies."
