Chapter 13

After Gabriel had come to the house, she had begun speaking about a girl named Asia Argento.

Naota felt the name was familiar, so he posed the question "You said Holy Maiden Gabriel-sama? Could you elaborate a bit more?" so the young woman nods, and as they made their way towards the couch to speak within the living room, Gabriel began explaining about her.

As she did, Ravel went to go and inform the others about the young girl.

"Yes, Asia Argento. Former nun, of the Church. She's a nice girl, that possesses Twilight Healing."

Naota thought about it for a few moments, sitting down on the couch next to one another.

"Twilight, Healing huh...aah, yes. That's why the name sounds familiar. Holy Maiden that heals the followers of God. But if I'm right, then that Sacred Gear doesn't only heal those within the church, correct?"

Gabriel inclines her neck.

"That's true. It is a Sacred Gear that has the ability to heal. It doesn't have any limits on who it can heal, so she can heal anyone chooses. For her past, she mostly healed humans, those that were injured and those related to the church and the Lord. However, an incident has occurred. And now, Asia-san has been excommunicated from the church."

Naota raised a confused brow.

"Wait, a Holy Maiden with the power to heal has been excommunicated? What happened?"

Because she was a valuable member for the church, Naota thought it was highly odd that they'd want to get rid of her.

Though, he could see a few scenarios on why it would happen, so he thought it would be best to see what was going on from Gabriel herself.

Gabriel seemed to agree as her eyes displayed sadness.

"The truth is, Asia-san healed a Devil, and the church got wind of it. The power to heal a Devil…"

Naota understood now why.

Even if he himself felt disheartened that was the reason she was excommunicated.

"It would be looked down upon by the church. More than that, a power to heal Devils would be truly terrible to the church. It could cause panic among the masses that the Holy Maiden heals those that the church opposes and that would bring worry for Heaven, that's the reason she was excommunicated, correct?"

Gabriel lowered her eyes.

She seemed to be quite sad.

Naota knew she cared so much.

Even those not associated with the church anymore.

It was clear on Gabriel's face how deeply she loved and cared for innocent beings.

"Even though God created it...at this present time, a Sacred Gear like that, and its influence on the followers of the church, its as you have said. Since the war, we also rely on humans to a good degree, and we need to maintain order. I dislike it, I wish that it didn't happen…"

Seeing that she was beginning to become upset, Naota placed his hand upon Gabriel's own.

Gabriel lightly blushed at the touch, allowing her fingers and his own to come together.

"Its because you're a kind beautiful soul, Gabriel-sama. I adore your ways, and your kindness always makes me feel good on the inside."

Gabriel gushes in a cute manner, pulling closer to her lover.

"Thank you, you also always make me feel good~"

Naota lightly smiled at the big smile on Gabriel's face.

"Yeah, so with Asia-san. Now that she's free from the church, you wish for me to find her?"

Gabriel bows her head respectfully.

"Because its you Naota-kun, I have no doubt you'd be able to protect her, and help her with her life now. I cannot reach her now, at least in ways that I wish to do so. Rather, I wish to be there for her, but in my position, there's a few things I am unable to do unfortunately. I've been making notes of where she is going, that's why I wish you could do something for me Naota-kun…"

Naota gave Gabriel a small gentle kiss on the cheek, Gabriel's blush became more prominent.

"I understand. Don't worry, I'll see to it that this nun is taken care of, and she can lead her own kind of life."

Gabriel felt warm on the inside.

She knew she'd be able to count on him.

He was someone that she knew could depend on no matter what.

He was a mature, strong, young man that she adored.

So much so that she couldn't help herself feel these warm fuzzy feelings inside of her body.

"Naota-kun…I also, wish to say that...I am, I am glad that you're going to be my husband…"

Naota recalled from his past when she first said it.

At the time, he wondered how true it really could be for the pair of them to become engaged.

But now, it was clear that Gabriel was committed, she had decided that she was going to be with Naota no matter what.

"Yes, and I've got a very wonderful wife coming in the future, Gabriel-sama."

Gabriel giggled in a sweet manner.

The young woman curled closer to Naota, her arms wrapping around his own.

Her large breasts encompassed his entire warm, cushioning it between the beautiful soft breasts.

Her face was so red that Naota was sure that she felt good inside, and also embarrassed, yet still was trying, it was endearing to him that she could be in such a way all at once.

Soon enough, the other members of the peerage appeared, and began speaking to Naota about what was going on.

As he did, the others looked astonished and curious among other things.

"...So, we've got to find this nun girl huh."

Ravel surmised, Naota inclines his neck.

"She's naive of the world, if someone found her and tried to use her for her healing power, any faction would benefit from having her in it. The Devils, Fallen Angels and other groups as well. To make sure that this girl is safe and sound, lets track this girl and make contact in the best kind of way possible. Since she's still an innocent girl, us Devils probably would be frightening to her. Yet, I also believe we should be upfront about it. If we lied to her, and later on she finds out, she'd feel betrayed and wouldn't trust us."

Ravel and the others found see why Naota would think that.

It made sense to them that she'd be like that.

So, they'd have to do their best.

"Hmm, so she isn't a fighter?"

Vali wondered with a hint of excitement, Naota shakes her head.

"No, I don't think she is. Sorry Vali-chan."

Vali clicks her tongue.

"That's to bad, a healing fighter would be strong."

Naota couldn't argue with that for sure.

"So, we find this girl, then what nyaaa?"

Kuroka wondered, Naota shrugged.

"That would be up to her. If she's going to be living in this world, really it would be best if she can find what she wishes to do. Regardless if she desires to keep going with the supernatural stuff, or if she wishes to live a relatively quiet life. It'd be her choice after all. We are simply going to help her be able to make that choice."

The girls thought that made sense.

Koneko during all of that looks towards Elmenhilde, sensing her eyes on her, and could see that she was deeply in thought.

"Something on your mind?"

Elmenhilde nods.

"I'm just surprised you're not on Senpai's lap, that's all."

Koneko blinked.

She did it once more.

She did it a third time, then quietly stood up.

"I thought something was wrong."

Elmenhilde face faults as Koneko makes her way to Naota, and sits down on his thighs.

She mumbles "Yes, that's more like it." to the amusement of Kuroka who silently watched, seeing Elmenhilde beginning to seethe ever so slightly.

Naota glances down at Koneko, who peers back up at him with a very cute expression, even remaining stoic as she did so.

"Ooh Koneko-chan, you're so cute~"

"...Yes, I am glad Senpai feels like that about me."

"Of course~ So, you wanted to sit on my lap huh? I thought something was a little weird, I guess I'm so used to you sitting on my lap that it was odd when you aren't there~"

Koneko nods strongly.

"I also, felt the same thing. Being on Senpai's lap, is the best after all. I got distracted."

Naota held back a small snicker, he really could see that Koneko looked rather pleased at that moment in time.

While she said it, Gabriel gave a humble smile.

Seeing this group together always gave her chills.

In a good way, she could feel this group truly being a force for good.

For helping others, and still continuing to provide help regardless of who and what faction they came from. She thought it truly was an admirable quality.

Meanwhile, Raynare shot right back to the hideout when she had finished speaking with Azazel.

She felt fear for her life.

She needed to vent her feelings to those that followed her.

So she got to the church, and went into the opening area that the doors to the church brought her too.

She saw Mittelt lounging around on a half broken pew, while Kalawarner was humming as she read a book.

"I need to speak to you two now!"

Mittelt let out a cute "Waaah!" and nearly fell off of the pew she was on.

Kalawarner could see the panic in the young woman's face, and in her voice with how shaky it was. Coupled with that, she saw that Raynare was shaking like a leaf, as if she had been in a life and death situation.

So she placed her book down and spoke in a soft tone.

"Raynare? Did you find that meathead?" She looked behind Raynare, recalling that she went for Dohnaseek. But didn't see him, bringing her concern, for herself. "Wait, what's going on here? What happened to that idiot Dohnaseek? Ooh no, don't tell me he went to go and confront…"

Fearing the worst, Kalawarner saw that Raynare confirmed it wildly.

"Of course he did!" Raynare roared, shocking Mittelt, and worrying Kalawarner. "The idiot went straight for Naota-sama, and threatened to fight him! I knew he was stupid, but he's on a whole other level of moronic! I was so dumbfounded, he's a moronic stupid asshole! We can't do anything stupid from this point on! Naota-sama has given us this chance!"

"We still have a future? He really has given us a chance?"

Kalawarner asked.

She thought for sure that because of Dohnaseek screwing up, the Naota group would be coming for them.

Then again, she thought that Raynare wouldn't be able to tell her this if she had a confrontation with Naota, knowing he was leagues stronger than the young woman was, so now it begged a few questions on what was going on.

Raynare, still shaken with her experience, begins nodding a single time.

"Yes...for now, it seems that we do. I couldn't believe it, Dohnaseek is a moron but this situation, this beautiful soul...thankfully, Naota-sama isn't stupid, and saw that we didn't have anything to do with this. But, I did speak to Azazel-sama and he said that we still have to complete the mission, without Dohnaseek."

Kalawarner placed a hand over her heart.

Mittelt took that as a good sign, and gave a peace sign.

"Then we've still got our ways to prove ourselves! Yes, if we go forward with a happy smile, and a strong desire to complete the mission, we can win this day~ And we can have good times with Azazel-sama as well! Think positive now~!"

Raynare scowled at the smaller Fallen Angel.

"How in the hell can you be so freaking positive right now!? Did you not hear what I was saying!? Its a scary time for us, and you're trying to be so positive!? What's wrong with you?!"

Mittelt drew a blank.

She wasn't sure what was going on with Raynare.

"Erm...you told me to be more positive, remember? You said I was negative and all…a-and I was trying to make you happy, b-because we're friends…"

Raynare gave skeptical eyes.

"What are you talking about? Can you tell me what's going on in that mind of yours? Because right now, I'm in the middle of a crisis, and you're confusing me."

Kalawarner saw Mittelt cringe, while the tallest Fallen Angel Kalawarner shook her head, thinking "Honestly, Raynare must be so frightened she can't recall what she said to Mittelt previously. To be fair, if I had come into contact with them, I'd be frightened too." and watched as Mittelt adopted a cute pout.

"You did! You really did say that! You said I was so negative! I'm only trying to be more positive! Like you wanted!"

Raynare stroked her chin in thought.

"That does sound like something I'd say, considering all of the negative attitude that you have." Raynare said in an agreeable tone. Then she scowled. "Still, right now something is not appreciated, and that's your positivity. Considering what's happening right now, how can you be so positive? Go back to being negative Mittelt. At least it fits the situation! Also, a suggestion for the future, read the room, and act accordingly!"

Mittelt wasn't sure what to say, so she said nothing.

Raynare placed a hand on her forehead, sighing deeply.

"Honestly, remember this is the danger zone? Dohnaseek was stupid, and he's paid the price. We can't pay the price, and the plan...ooh God the plan. We've got to regroup, we can't do anything here that is going to expose us. But we can't leave either, Azazel-sama is looking at us now thanks to Dohnaseek...aaah! This sucks! All I wanted was to impress Azazel-sama, and now we're going to be taken out if we make a bad move!"

Mittelt jumped, and thought about what she was going to do now, she didn't want to die.

Kalawarner shakes her head.

Raynare gave saddened eyes.

"One false move, and we're finished. We are gone, and we have no hopes for winning this at all. So, listen to me and we shall get through this. Anyone against my plans shall leave right now, understood?"

Raynare stared harshly at Mittelt.

Mittelt in turn giggled awkwardly, not sure what to think.

Kalawarner on the other hand wondered what they'd be doing now.

Because of what was happening, they knew one false move, and everything was going to end for them all.

A time later, with midnight approaching, Naota laid in bed wearing nothing, with Gabriel laying beside him, her head laid on his naked chest, and she herself wore a pink lingerie that showed off her womanly shape.

The light of the moon and the streets peaked in through the curtains.

It bathed Gabriel's already beautiful form, and gave her an ethereal kind of look.

One that had unmatched beauty.

Even in a room that was rather lavish, being decorated to look a bit like Heaven, Naota thought. With the different paintings of various saints, and Angel like statues, it definitely was different to the room that Naota usually preoccupied.

After speaking with her for a bit, everyone had done some research about Asia, and beginning to locate her, since it was so late, they decided to head to bed. Gabriel said she wished to spend sometime with Naota alone, and the others agreed, if Naota would do something's with them in the morning, which he was more than happy to agree too.

Gabriel allowed her finger to slowly work its way up his torso, blushing all the while.

"Naota-san...being like this with you, it really does make my heart pound in my chest. I've always liked spending this time with you."

Naota ran his finger through a lock of her hair, brushing it out of her eyes kindly.

"Yes, I do as well."

As he said it, his arm moved around her, and placed his hand on her hip. Her body curled up towards his own, her finger gently moving up and down his left pectoral.

"Naota-san...this feels good, doesn't it? Being together like this, alone and in one another's arms."

Naota gazes down at Gabriel, smiling kindly.

"Yes, its always good to be with you Gabriel-sama."

Gabriel lifts her head from his chest, and pulls herself up the bed. Her fingers went to the right hand side of his face, and gently stroked said face, and also allowing some locks of his hair to run through her fingers.

"Its a good feeling, Naota-san. Before I met you, I never thought about such situations like this. But, this is really pure right now. Being in bed, beside my future husband. I've always loved your dedication to others, I think that's why I really adore you, Naota-san. You never give up, and always try your best. Even when you're beaten down, you still stand up and face your fears, all to make sure that others are safe."

Hearing her say that made him smile.

"Praising me like that, its gonna make me blush Gabriel-sama~"

Naota laughed out, the eager eyes of Gabriel soon became apparent, as her slender fingers brushed his cheek.

"Naota-kun..."

Gabriel while heavily blushing, moved her head towards him, so he did the same thing.

Their lips connected with one another's, Gabriel lightly moaned into the kiss as his free hand ran itself across her face gently. It was enough to stir happy feelings within her. Pure love radiated from Gabriel, allowing her to embrace the desires she felt inside.

When Gabriel broke away from Naota, she began to pant and she adorably bit her bottom lip, showcasing a cute expression on her face.

"Hehe, I'm still a bit shy~"

Naota chuckled lightly, finding her expressions to be some of the most adorable things he had seen.

"Its alright, we'll go at your pace."

Gabriel's reddened face turned a more deep shade of crimson, her eyes fluttering and her body becoming hotter as a result.

She allowed her body to move towards him, and pressed against his own even more than before.

"Naota-kun…"

"Yeah?"

Gabriel shakes her head.

"When I'm here, in your arms...I feel really happy. I can't express it very well...but, even though you're a Devil, and I'm an Angel, I feel like this is really good for me...to be able to be happy like this~"

"I'm happy Gabriel-sama, you don't have to worry about anything while here."

Her eyes and his met one another, and then they came together once more, their lips pushing against the others in a romantic entanglement of their affections for one another…

The next day, Naota went to school as usual. As they were researching about Asia, they had many different things to go over. Along with the information that they'd received from Gabriel, Naota had a few of the others doing some other missions related to her for him, while he himself also got some research and began doing it as he made it to class.

Sitting down and reading through some papers, Naota seemed to be quite invested in what he was reading.

To the point when Isane came into the room, she saw he was transfixed on what was before him.

So she walked over towards him, and gained his attention.

"Anything interesting my Bishounen~?"

Naota looked up from the papers, and chuckled.

"Yeah, some interesting stuff~"

Isane gave a cheery smile.

"So, I see that Vali girl isn't here today."

Naota shakes his head.

"Aha, Vali-chan sometimes just chooses to not come, she's kind of a rebel like that."

He joked.

Isane laughed, she could see Vali being exactly like that.

"Yeah, she's a wild one for sure. Even then, it seems you're looking a little...unsure about something?"

"Aah, I suppose in a sense that's true. Its more of me thinking about a few things, regarding someone I've been asked to look after, that's all."

Isane became intrigued.

"Look after huh? A kid? Or a pet?"

"A girl, she's around our age."

Naota revealed, since it wasn't that worrisome to do so.

"A girl?!" Isane roared, her eyes flaring happily. "You're getting a cute girl coming to town?!"

"Potentially, she's a good girl that just needs some guidance, that's all. Something of a specialty of mine~"

He boasted jokingly, Isane became starry eyed.

"Aah, I can imagine she's going to be quite a beauty, isn't she?"

"Yeah, she's quite cute." Naota agreed. "Anyway Isane-chan, there's something I'd like to ask you, if you don't mind."

Isane shrugged her shoulders.

"Sure, go for it~"

"Great, then on Sunday, are you doing anything?"

Isane's breath hitched in her throat.

For a second, she thought that she had misheard him.

She paused, and gazed into his eyes curiously.

"S-Sunday huh...well, no, I don't think so…"

Isane became surprisingly bashful, and attempted to speak in a strong demeanour, but only ended up stuttering a little bit.

"I see, well I'm free on Sunday, and I thought that it would be good if we, went out together. What do you think?"

Isane felt a pounding in her chest.

She never expected this when she woke up that morning.

She needed to know if it was what she thought it was, so she decided to ask directly.

"So...l-like a date?"

She gulped.

Her body shook with anticipation.

Her eyes lustfully made themselves go towards his form.

Naota gently smiles, and inclines his neck.

"I suppose...yeah, it is. I'm asking you out. How about it?"

Isane felt her face heating up.

This was it.

This was finally it.

She didn't want to screw it up.

She didn't want to do anything to mess this up.

So she took in a few deep breaths, and exhales strongly.

"S-So, going out huh? Well, I, I don't have anything that I'm doing~ Sure, I'll...I'll go on a date with you~"

Naota gave a joyous smile.

"Great, then wanna sort the details out later? Seems like class is about to start."

Isane internally cheered.

"S-Sure."

Outwardly, she appeared to be as calm as possible.

But on the inside, she was a hot mess, feeling so many excited and happy feelings that they wished to burst out of her.

She quickly and happily skipped to her seat.

Others in the class who didn't hear their conversation, kept looking at Isane with a side eye seeing that she was practically glowing.

At lunch time, Naota went to the usual place, meeting up with Ravel first. The others were currently gathering intel for Naota, and making sure that they can have Asia come without anyone trying to attack her.

"It seems she's coming to Japan."

Ravel noted, Naota inclines his neck.

"You're right, someone has summoned her to Japan. Fortunately, thanks to the info Gabriel-sama gave us, I was able to locate her. I've got a few of the others researching a bit about who might've had her come to Japan."

Ravel thought that was a good idea.

"While they're doing that, what shall we do Naota-sama?"

"Gabriel-sama said that even she didn't know who the Devil was that was healed by Asia-san. Definitely, if that was news in the Underworld, we would have heard about it by now. Some eye witnesses, something. But we couldn't find anything."

Ravel rubbed her chin in thought.

"I see what you're saying. We need to find out who it is that this Asia-san healed, and what connections or reasons they'd have to even be near a Holy Maiden in the first place."

Naota nods seriously.

"Actually, I had a suspicion that it could've been Diodora."

Ravel furrowed her eyebrows.

"Diodora...he did have thoughts about holy girls, didn't he?"

"He did, but I've been assured that he's in his cell. I was gonna go later with either Koneko-chan or Kuroka-san to make doubly sure. Since they've got their Senjutsu, they're the best to be able to sense out if Diodora is still within that cell."

Ravel smiled lightly, she always liked seeing her King being rather cool in her eyes.

"Yes we really should make sure. We've had people in the past break out of prison...ooh, what about Diodora's sidekick?"

"Ah, Zephyrdor, yeah you're right about that. He did get out last year, since then he's been on the down low. I heard he developed a depressive state, saying he hates Iryuka-san and all that for taking what's rightfully his. Though I'm sure that if it was him, we'd have been notified maybe?"

"You're right. But I think it would be best if we look into him Naota-sama. To be on the safe side."

Naota agreed.

"I'll go after seeing Diodora. I'd rather be safe than sorry. But while I'm doing that, Ravel-chan. Could you…"

"Ooh, leave it with me. I'll contact Gabriel-sama and see what data we can gather, and if we see clarity when she sees confusion. We might be able to identify a Devil that perhaps the church side wasn't able to. Or a clue that would mean more to Devils than it would to Angels and the heaven above us."

Naota inclined his neck in agreement.

"Very true. I'll leave that side to you for the time being. I'll have Vali-chan keep her watchful eyes over Asia-san. Right now, she's on a plane towards Japan, I doubt anyone could attack while being in the air, but on the safe side, I've got her, and Elmen-chan watching over her."

Ravel snickered slightly.

"Seems like Vali-sama would be quite bored."

"I gave her incentive~"

Naota revealed, and chuckled at the same time.

Ravel became intrigued.

"You did? What was it?"

Naota winked at his peerage member.

"Aah, I couldn't ever kiss and tell Ravel-chan~"

Ravel gave amused eyes.

"Ooh I see, so it would be Vali-sama's favourite thing apart from fighting, correct?"

"It could be~"

Naota cheerfully said, Ravel began to giggle ever so slightly.

"Hehe, I see how it is~"

The pair laughed together, and then soon after began eating together, while going over a number of things they needed to do.

Time passed, and after the end of the school day, arriving in the Underworld, Naota went with Koneko to go and see someone that he never wished to see again.

Someone that didn't ever give any good impression at all.

A man Naota would be fine with keeping locked away for the atrocities that he had committed those years before.

Holding onto his hand, Koneko could tell that Naota wasn't pleased, she in turn also didn't like being in the proximity of Diodora.

"Its great to see that you're here, Naota-sama! Man, I watched your latest televised fight, and I thought it was awesome!"

A guard leading them to Diodora said in a happy manner.

Naota lightly smiled.

"Thank you, always great to meet a fan~"

The guard began to gush, Naota thought it was quite endearing to see how passionate he was.

"Y-Yeah! Haha, I was so happy when I was chosen to show you to Diodora Astaroth! He's really a scummy guy, but he's a model prisoner! He never does anything!"

Naota raised a brow.

"Is that so? Nothing has changed at all?"

"Nope, its like he's completely in a comatose state! He just lays there and reacts to nothing!"

Naota furrowed his brows, and thought about Diodora.

He recalled meeting Diodora after the events of Strada, and seeing him in a state that he still seems to be in now.

Naota thought he could've been putting it on, or he was biding his time.

But, it had been years, and that was something that caused Naota to wonder if Diodora still was playing, as all of the tests that he had didn't show anything odd about him. He should simply be awake, yet he never is, and always remains vacant, unchanging.

"I see, thanks for letting me know."

"Of course! And if there's anything else I can do Naota-sama! Please let me know!"

Naota thanked him, and soon enough, they arrived at the cell that held Diodora.

Naota turned to the guard.

"Could you unlock the door for me please? I wish to see him up close."

"Aah yes, of course!"

Naota saw the door being unlocked, so entered along with Koneko.

They saw Diodora simply laying on the bed.

He didn't move.

He didn't register their appearances at all.

In fact, it was like how it was in the past, he was basically in some kind of coma.

"Koneko-chan, can you?"

Naota turned to Koneko, who revealed her cat ears, and tail.

"Yes, I shall do so now Senpai."

She used Senjutsu to sense Diodora, to see if there was anything different about him.

But, she sensed that he was the same, and conveyed that to Naota.

"...Nao-senpai, he's still Diodora. I will continue to search for any differences in his aura, but I can't detect anything different. He is Diodora, he's in some kind of coma. I cannot explain why he feels like this, since he feels as if he's awake yet not awake at the same time."

Naota didn't like the sound of it.

He half expected it to be Diodora.

Yet, something inside was still telling him that was the case.

So Naota walked over to Diodora.

He perched down to the side of his bed, peering into Diodora's vacant open eyes.

He saw that there was no flicker of anything there, he didn't register what was going on in the world around him.

"Diodora, I wonder if this really is real...but, part of me is saying something is off about this. Even the best doctors cannot explain it. And he couldn't be able to fool everyone on his own. Yet, if he did receive help, who it could be, I don't know...Diodora, did you go to Asia Argento-san? Damn, I'll have to think of something…my heart is telling me something is going on, and I can't be sure what it is…"

Naota tossed a few ideas around in his head.

All the while Koneko continued to search for any clues via her Senjutsu.

But she came up empty.

And so did Naota, at least when it came to Diodora in front him.

"Koneko-chan, lets go."

Koneko looked up at her King, seeing that he had serious eyes.

So she nods, and follows along with her King.

The guard locks the door behind him, as Naota peered into the cell one last time, continuing to think about this situation.

Later on, Naota and Koneko arrived at Zephyrdor's place. Naota and Koneko held onto one another's hands, with Koneko gazing up at her Senpai she adored.

When arriving at the front door, Naota was the one who knocked on the door.

Immediately, it opened, and revealed a disheveled looking Zephyrdor.

Bags under his eyes, and looking severally worried, his eyes shot between Naota and Koneko.

"W-What are you doing here?! Don't kill me!"

He yelled in his fears.

Naota in turn let out a small breath.

"Zephyrdor, I haven't come to kill you."

"Lies, you grim reaper!"

Naota nearly coughed when being called that.

The fear in Zephyrdor's eyes was real.

Naota didn't really get it, since they never actually had a proper fight.

"Did you really just call me a grim reaper?"

"I did you reaper of souls, and lives!"

Naota glanced at the tired looking Koneko.

"...Zephyrdor, show restraint."

"Not his neko loliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! Stay away with your small fists of small fury!"

Koneko furrowed her brows, Naota sighed.

"Did he just call me small?"

Koneko said with annoyance, Zephyrdor panicked, and tried closing the door.

But Naota stuck his foot in the way so he couldn't do that in the end.

"Anyway, Zephyrdor. I've got some questions for you."

Zephyrdor tried closing the door, but Naota's foot kept pushing it open, panic growing on the young man's face.

Naota if he didn't know how cruel Zephyrdor could be, would have felt a little sorry for him.

But as he was, Naota didn't think that at all.

"Then you'll leave me alone right?! You wont do anything to me will you?!"

Naota side eyed Koneko who in turn looked even more tired than before.

"Yeah, that's right. I've just got some questions for you, then we'll be on our way."

Zephyrdor looked apprehensive.

He seemed to be even shaking from Naota's perspective.

"F-Fine, then you can leave after the questions! Because I don't have to have you here!"

Koneko received mental whiplash when Zephyrdor suddenly became cocky.

Naota on the other hand gave a slight amused look.

"Zephyrdor, you're not showing aggression are you?"

Zephyrdor became frightened, and shook heavily.

"Noooooooooooooooooooo! I wasn't! I promise!"

Koneko cracked a smile, while Naota remained as straight faced as he possibly could do.

"Right, then be prepared to answer some questions, okay?"

Zephyrdor lowered his head, nodding profusely.

Then he began speaking to the young slightly crazed man.

Naota asked a few questions, ranging from the more mundane topics, to ones he wished to know about, mixing them up and seeing how Zephyrdor reacted to each of the topics that he brought up.

Something about some of the questions did ping a few radars for Naota.

By the end of it, Zephyrdor looked to be frazzled quite a bit, so Naota and Koneko left the estate.

"...Senpai, did you get anything?"

"Hmm, I might have, I'll have to confirm a few things."

Koneko cocked her head in wonder, as the pair walked off together.

Sometime during the night, a young cute nun arrives in a bustling airport in the heart of Japan.

The young nun that Gabriel had told Naota about, Asia Argento, held her suitcase close to her body, due to the fact that the place she was in, was rather crowded.

Her large green eyes look around and see so many people moving around. They all seemed to be either casual, or in deep conversations with others.

They all seemed to know where they should be going however.

The girl though, wasn't aware where she should be going.

She swayed left and right, her long blonde hair swayed along with her.

She saw someone coming close to her, and was beginning to pass her, so she spoke up "Excuse me…" in a language that wasn't Japanese.

So because of that, the man that was passing her, looked at her strangely, before walking off.

The girl pursed her lips in perplexity, her eyes looking around.

"Erm...hello, could you please show me where…"

When she tried to speak to another native of Japan, she didn't get a response.

They seemed to be unsure of what she was saying, so the girl tried to find any signs for her to follow.

But she couldn't read Japanese either, so it really was perplexing for her.

That's when a man approached her.

It was a tall well dressed man that wore a suit, looking quite distinguished.

"Asia Argento."

Asia jumped at the voice, since he walked from behind her.

She turned to see the man, and adopted a kind smile.

"That's me. You can understand me?"

"Yes, I'd like for you to follow me. We've got to go, so hurry."

Asia tilts her head, wondering why the man was in a rush.

"I-I see. So, I was supposed to be meeting someone here...and you are taking me to them?"

The man released a frustrated sigh.

"We don't have time, come, now."

Asia didn't like his tone.

It was becoming more aggressive with each passing moment.

Asia began to pull back, giving questioning eyes.

"Where are you going to take me?"

The man became increasingly frustrated.

He kept looking around, as if he was expecting something to happen.

His hand reached out for Asia, who looked stunned.

"Come with me, now."

He growled out.

Asia felt the rage in his voice.

Along with that, the timid feelings he felt, as if he was worried, perhaps even frightened of something or someone.

Either way, Asia tried to move away, but the man was fast.

Faster than the human she was.

So when his hand came for her, she couldn't move in time.

The man tried to wrap around her arm…

When suddenly a hand reached out, grabbing the man's arm, and held it in place.

"My, oh my, you wouldn't be trying to be forceful with a young woman, would you?"

The man froze at the soft male voice that echoed in his ears.

Asia's eyes turn towards the voices face, and saw stood there, was Naota, showing a cheery smile.

The man began to shake in place, and tried to pull away, but Naota's hand was simply too strong for him to be able to get away.

"T-This hand...g-get off me!"

He yelled, but it fell on deaf ears, tightening his hand and forced the man to submit.

"Enough, I know what you came here for. You wont be taking this young nun with you. Now, why don't you be a good man, and do as I say?"

"You bastard, I'll end you."

The man spat out.

Naota thought he'd say something like that, and slowly nods his head.

"I see, then I'll have to have someone speak with you, in a more direct way."

The man grits his teeth, as Vali came out of the crowd.

Her hands rested on the man's shoulders, quite tightly.

"I'll take this one Nao. I'll see if I can get any info from him."

"Aah, thank you Vali-chan. I'll finish up here."

Vali nods, and leads the man off.

As she did, Asia had many questions.

She wasn't sure what was going on at this point.

Naota turned to Asia, seeing her concerned eyes, so he adopted a kind gentle smile.

"Hello there, I'm sorry about that guy. Must've been a bit worrying huh."

The girl, Asia, only could nod her head.

Her voice failed her.

Her eyes looked into Naota's own.

He could see that she was worried.

He did his best to relieve her of her concerns the best that he could do.

"I know it must be worrying for you, about coming to this land, not knowing where to turn."

Asia slowly nods her head.

She wasn't entirely sure what to feel or what to think.

"Y-Yes...I was told that I would be safe here...a-am I?"

Naota nods kindly.

"Yes, you are. My name is Naota, and I wield, True Longinus."

Asia gasped.

"T-The holy spear? You are its wielder?"

"That I am. I don't know if you've heard of me-"

"I have...you are a Devil, half Devil, correct?"

Naota wasn't surprised that she knew of him.

He had some meetings with the church in his life, and his name would have spread for even her to hear about it. Now he wondered if those words were good about him, or they were negative about him.

"I am. I'm sure its strange to meet me, a Devil, and you, a woman of the church. But, seeing that you were in a dangerous situation, after hearing about this, I wished to make sure that you were safe."

"That's really kind of you, but I, I am unsure..."

Naota could understand that quite well.

So he did his best to convey it the best way that he could do, and have Asia be at ease as she possibly could be.

"If you'd like to come with me...I'll make sure that you're safe, okay? Whatever you wanna do, we'll go at your pace. If not our home, then we can go anywhere you'd like, even the cafe over there. I don't want you to be worried at all. So please think about what I said, and I'll wait for you to reply. If you don't wanna see me, then I'll guide you to humans that can help you."

Naota thought it was the best way to go about it.

Asia looked at Naota, trying to see if he had any indications of deceit on his face.

But she saw none.

She noticed Naota had honest and kind eyes.

Along with that, she also heard his words, and how he was willing to bend to anything she said.

She'd set the limits of what they'd do.

She also remembered hearing words about Naota once.

From a man that had first hand experience from him.

She recalled him saying "Any kind Devils huh? If I have to say one, then I'd say the one that wields True Longinus is the kindest. That boy, Naota, showed me how far he'd go to protect those that he loved, he has a pure heart." and that thought caused Asia to begin smiling ever so slightly, as she trusted that man from her past.

So Asia pulled closer to Naota, and adopted a kind smile.

"Thank you, Naota-san. I erm...I am still confused about many things...s-so maybe we could speak a bit more? Erm...I don't know where we could go...maybe a cafe?"

"Cafe, yes, that's fine. Lets go to a cafe, and speak."

Naota smiled softly, and began walking ahead.

Asia stood there, staring at him.

Her eyes took in everything about Naota.

Recalling those words once more than the man said to her that day, and also what Naota had said to her, she felt like at least for a small time, she'd be able to speak with him, and to gain more information about what was going on.

Alongside that, Asia had to admit even she was curious about seeing the kind and pure hearted Devil, that Vasco Strada had met in his travels across numerous battlefields, and see for herself who Naota truly was.

So this chapter dealt with the situation involving Asia, with Naota and the others investigating what's going on, even visiting Diodora, who appears to be still comatose, and Zephyrdor, who's gone through some changes since the last time that he was seen in the story, and has become quite afraid though still has his edge to him. Then at the end, Naota met up with Asia, saving her from being potentially abducted, and now they're gonna have a nice talk between them so he can help her. Along with that Gabriel and Naota had a nice moment between them.
