Chapter 36:
After finding the elevator to the portal in question, we then went inside of it and after the airtight seal happened, we then went forward through the portal at, thankfully, a much slower speed than the first big elevator.
"Much better speed, but I still don't like that feeling... next time, I'm just floating to the portal in ethereal form," Tirsiak said with a frown.
"You can float?" Knuckles asked, the forest deity then demonstrating as we then exited to the area of the super sweet planet, us seeing that it also happened to have candy-fied animals as well!
"Chocolate turtles... white chocolate rabbits... ooh, devil doggies!" Charmy smiled as he then tried to take a bite of one, but Tirsiak held him back. "Hey, lemme go, this is a place for eating sweets!" Charmy complained.
"At the very least, Charmy, how about eat food that isn't alive? Imagine if someone tried to eat you. It'd probably hurt them just as much," I said, him frowning after.
"Oh... fine, I'll just stick to the ground and... chocolate river! WITH MARSHMALLOWS?! YES!" Charmy smirked as he then swam right into the chocolate river, which he then swallowed a bunch of the chocolatey goodness as well as eating a couple large marshmallows before then joining back with us.
"Okay, now to find the location of the generator. And judging from what I see over there-" I said, pointing out that Eggman was creating a giant amount of theme park attractions for the Sweet Mountain, forcing the candy cane trees to be stripped of their bark to be used as sturdy bases for a bunch of rides, which included a missile-launch roller coaster that was completely anti-gravity. And he was almost ready to do a test shoot. "-we should go over to the machinery in order to find the generator. Where there's electricity, there's a generator," I spoke.
"We should also keep an eye out for those little girl people, too... question, are they also made of candy?" Knuckles asked as I then connected my minds to any possible other girls... and I gawked at how there was another girl that was currently in hiding in the chocolate river, me looking over and seeing a chocolate milk straw that was poking out of the river.
"Maybe we can ask her. Excuse me, miss? Can I ask you to come out of the chocolate?" I asked, the straw emerging followed by the girl in question, me seeing that it was none other than Taffyta. And she looked to be very frightened. "It's okay, we're here to stop the bald guy from doing any more damage. And to rescue your friends," I said, the girl then coming out of the chocolate river and then simply using some weird magic to grab all the chocolate that had stuck to her body and form it into a new creature, a chocolate easter egg.
"That. That is the reason that the bald monster wants to kidnap us. He plans to use our powers to make unlimited candy on his own planet, as a form of money. Tell me, why should I trust you when you also look scary?" she asked, me frowning at her.
"Well, of course we look scary. We come from a different planet, and some of us from alternate realities," Priscilla smiled, which made Taffyta frown and look scared.
"We'll answer your response by saying that first looks aren't everything," Shadow said as we then looked over to the machinery.
"We've been trying to stop the bald guy's plans for almost a decade, now. And if he wins this time, it's not just this planet that's in danger. He also plans to erase every single Mobian from my planet. Charmy and Knuckles, here, are two examples of Mobians, based on a bee and an echidna," I said, which Taffyta looked at the bee before then looking at the big stinger.
"I see... is he made of honey?" she asked before trying to lick his fuzzy butt, which she immediately spat out in disgust from doing so as Charmy then flew backwards.
"Uh, weird. Why would you lick me there?"
"N-Never have I tasted honey so bad..." she gagged.
"It's not honey, it's fuzz and skin. Animals on our planet are made of similar substance to you and your friends, but with no candy powers," I explained.
"Bleck... right... so what are you supposed to be? Specifically the females," she asked.
"We'll speak on the way. I have a radar in my head that will lead us to the holding area of your friends, which is also near the power generator that's kidnapping a bunch of Wisps," I said, Taffyta nodding as we then walked in the direction "We females come from different universes and each have our own unique powers. I originall come from almost 10 thousand years in the past and was given the powers of human, Mobian, and Chao, the latter being a small blob-like creature that adapts to its environment and is extremely sweet and nice," I explained.
"Fengshue and myself originate from a different universe entirely, us originally being captured and used for bad things in a cursed mansion, but then we were captured a second time by scientists in this world via a portal... we've been trapped here for ages since, and we're trying to get acclimated to human life," Tirsiak explained.
"I see that you're very chilly, too. Perfect for making sprinkles," Taffyta smiled.
"And as for me, I came from a universe filled with an Undead plague where people would keep reviving after death... I am the daughter of a dragon and a demigoddess, born with the powers of Lifehunt, which can drain the life forces of anything that I choose. But I have no such strengths in this dimension, thanks to horrible experiments from immoral scientists... the prodding was horrid..." she shivered after.
"And why are you so huge?"
"Uh, she's the daughter of a woman just as tall as she is and a dragon that's as tall as that Ferris wheel. We should be grateful that she's not any taller, or she wouldn't be able to fit inside of most buildings," I smiled.
"You just had to point that out, huh?" Prissy smirked before smacking me with her skinny tail, me learning the hard way that it felt more like a towel whip and, thus, very painful.
"Ow! Tss... meanie," I groaned as we then proceeded to rush through the first few stages of the Sweet Mountain, following the biggest sets of machinery until we eventually found none other than the titular race track, with the donuts being used as archways for the beginning and ending of the track and for a big and impressive castle to be in the distance, it being made of wafers all over of strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. And right next to the finish line of the track was the generator, it being right on the back of the Egg Scarab, which was also carrying a bunch of girls, about 39 of them inside of its giant ball, it being a glass dome that even had snow particles in it.
"There they are! We need to save them!" Taffyta said with concern, me holding her back before she could run off and for me to look at Fengshue with a smile.
"Hey, Fengshue? How about you and Tirsiak handle that overgrown bug? But don't hurt the kids in the ball," I said.
"I'll have you know we're full grown adults!" Taffyta complained, the duo of specimens then rushing forward to the giant beetle and proceeding to use their own methods against it, with Fengshue morphing into a gigantic jawbreaker monster (fitting) and smashed into the top of the beetle with a giant fist, which revealed the power core of the Generator, which was all the excuse that Tirsiak needed to send a slew of hail, snow, and even a giant shadow bear to attack the power core, which made the beetle start to freak out before making a giant explosion! It was so big, it managed to cause the carbonium snowglobe to crack apart into a million pieces and for the sugary kids to escape... at speeds I could barely keep up at to avoid getting cut by the glass!
"Whoa! How are you kids so fast?!" Knuckles asked in shock.
"We're Sugar Rushers, we can move that fast at any time we want, but we make it fair with carts," said the president herself, Vanelope. And she was currently dressed in her princess outfit, but she then changed faster than the eye could see into her more familiar outfit, to me at least. "Thanks for rescuing us and our planet! Please, tell us your name and what planet you live on? I'd love to be in a partnership with you for saving us from the bald monster," Vanellope smirked. We then introduced ourselves and I then smiled.
"We come from Planet Earth, neighboring planets being Venus and Mars. And uh... the bald monster comes from there too, he's just evil and we're trying to stop him," I explained.
"I had a feeling that was the case, but I don't care... I'm asking because I'd like to send an ambassador to your planet to show them some of our secrets and we can learn some of yours," Vanellope smiled.
"I'd like to go with them, president. Please? They helped me find you guys and protected me the whole time," Taffyta asked with a smile.
"Very well, Taffyta, and make sure that you get a good planetary idea of where their planet is, so we know the distance between our planets," Vanellope smiled.
"I can tell you right now, miss president, that our planets are roughly 32.6 light years away from each other, with your planet being near a red dwarf star and ours being next to a big yellow one. If we are to go there from here, we'd need you to go to the solar system with four inner planets, an asteroid belt, and five outer planets, with the third planet closest to the star being the one you need to visit," Fengshue explained, me looking at her with my mouth agape in awe.
"How... How do you do that? You know the exact location?" I gawked at her.
"I am the perfect balance of everything, with knowledge of even the infinite universe... of course I would have those powers in one that is not my own," she said, me smiling at that.
"Very good, then. We'll get to using our telescopes to find the location, then. And then proceed to make a flight there. Of all the things the bald monster gave us, the metal and fuel he's provided should give us enough to work with to get to your planet and back for a round trip! We'll visit soon, promise," she smirked, us then proceeding to head back to the portal we'd come from and seeing that all the captured Wisps on the planet had already finished escaping through it and for us to then board the elevator to go through it.
"I'm gonna miss this place, but I can't believe I get to go to another planet! I can't wait!" Taffyta smiled widely.
"So just a quick question, can we your name and age? Because I do know from looking at your mind that you stop growing at age 10," I smiled.
"Oh, that's easy! I'm Taffyta and I'm actually 29 years old. Us Sugar Rushers can live to be 80 years old, and then, after that, we turn our powers into a new Sugar Rusher. As such, our race has stayed the same number for ages and we don't need to worry about death, as we're partly sugar, so we can morph back from any injury," she smirked widely.
"I believe it, and you could avoid any injury by moving super-fast," I smiled, Taffyta smirking in a boastful manner before I then hit the button on the elevator and for her to then gasp as the elevator started moving, her stiffening up at the speeds we went before going through the portal and she saw the sights of our own planet Earth and she gawked at it. "Oh my... it's... it's beautiful..." she gawked as Tirsiak then joined up with us after the elevator stopped at the tropical resort and she smiled.
"And that, Taffyta, is why I don't like these elevators," Tirsiak smiled.
"Easy, chilly, we need to get back to work," Shadow smirked slyly.
"Don't call me chilly," she frowned.
"At ease, both of you. Next stop, the Starlight Carnival. Especially since they're filled with aliens hoping to visit to Earth for peace, all in cryogenic slumber, and all having been captured by Eggman via a tractor beam of sorts. We need to take out the generator that's over there in order to allow them to visit our planet," I spoke.
"Hey, do you know what these aliens happen to be, miss emerald power?" Priscilla asked, me then looking into their minds... and me smiling at what they were. They happened to be from another planet, sure, but once again, I was surprised by how I knew of these aliens.
"I know who they are, yep. They're a race of creatures called Hocotatian, and, from when I've seen them, they're only 3 inches tall... but these ones are about the same size as Taffyta and her Sugar Rushers, but with the power to control plantlife," I smiled.
"Really? That'd be cool to have them visit Earth to help make more plants, maybe even make plantlife on the other planets," Shadow smirked.
"Same," Taffyta smirked. "By the way, what are plants?"
"We've got to explain a lot to you about Earth life, Taffyta. Not everything is candy on the planet, that's for sure," I smiled.
"I got it, I got it, now let's go to those ships and help those people out," Taffyta smirked as we then rushed towards the next elevator to lead us to the best level in the game (sorry Planet Wisp).
