Subaru stood there, frozen in disbelief. His luck had finally taken a turn for the better – after so long living with the expectation of death and multiple lives spent and wasted, he had stumbled upon something incredible. When Natsuha revealed her find of an assassin called Elsa Granheirt - an assassin who carried valuable information in her mind that could open up new paths of thought to him – he was stunned beyond words. He felt overwhelmed by gratitude, at last, his bad fortune seemed to be turning around for good... but first.

"How strong is the owner of this body that you took over is?"

Currently, physical strength is the elixir that may determine the success of his plan—to enter the loot house and kidnap the girl without causing any noise or chaos. This requires pure strength, and it seems that his hope will not be disappointed, or at least he hopes so. Before he could complete his sentence, he suddenly felt someone hugging him from behind tenderly, and he flinched for a moment in fear, only to hear the voice of Nashua ( Elsa), now laughing joyfully at Subaru's action. He tried to break free from her hand, to look at her, but she hugged him tightly enough not to hurt him and also to prevent him from breaking free, as she rested her head on his shoulders behind him, so he calmed his movement as she said in a calm voice.

"Are you convinced now of my strength?"

"Well, I was convinced before and now I feel more comfortable".

Natsuah (elsa), closed her eyes, still resting her head, and said with passion and all the love flooding her seductive voice.

"On the warmth of your body, my tears flowed out of longing and the feeling of your embrace. How many sad nights have passed that I did not feel your warm touch?, I really do not know."

Subaru felt himself melting into the moment, her sweet words of love coursing through him like a wave of energy. He did not care about such a matter as long as the consciousness inside was Natsuha's. He would never care, even if the body was that of an old woman a hundred years her age again he still would not care, so he continued to move upwards, brushing her skin lightly with the softness of his lips until he reached her hand. He paused here and simply held it for a moment before taking it in between both of his hands and raising it softly to kiss one more time; an expression of love that seemed sweeter than even words could say. Taking this opportunity, he brought himself close enough so that their bodies collided ever-so-slightly before finally embracing each other in what felt like an eternity filled with warmth and eternal promise.

They both stood there for a while, not wanting to let the moment end. He finally broke away and gazed into her eyes, a feeling of contentment washing over them both in that instant, but.

He looked at her with an expression of love and contentment, his lips curling into a gentle smile that was all she needed to make the bond between them stronger. Her words brought ease and comfort to him as he felt secure in her Love, safe in knowing he had someone who always believed in him.

Natsuha(Elsa) who seems satisfied by his expression, nodded and began to take a step forward twored the loot house, when Subaru abruptly, yet kindly spoke up. "Thank you Natsuha" he said softly. "Now please go ahead of me; I will join you shortly." His voice had been such a soft whisper that it almost seemed like it was spoken only within her own mind. She smiled in acknowledgement and continued on with a slight nod towards the loot house before she took one last look at him, murmuring "see you later".

As the words left her lips, Natsuha(Elsa) seemed to disappear from existence; in the blink of an eye, she had appeared before the loot house. Subaru watched in amazement as her slight form concussed with a speed and agility beyond anything he could have imagined.

"The owner of that original body is a monster without a doubt... Really, Nats, you saved me again, heh"

As he said that Subaru, slowly unbuttoned his black jacket and untied its long sleeves from around his waist. He then reached for the black machete that hung on the belt wrapped around his chest, turning it this way and that to feel its weight in hand. Satisfied with what he found, he replaced it in its sheathe. Finally, a bloody knife was taken out with a practiced motion of his arm, all these weapons were to be prepared for whatever situation may arise later tonight.

"Well that seems to be satisfactory, now let's see how things went with Natsuha."

With a satisfied smile, Subaru slipped his knife back into the pocket of his pants and then started walking with purposeful strides towards the loot house. He kept to the shadows where he could, knowing that prying eyes were always watching in this part of town. He had learned quickly during his time here that it was best not to draw too much attention to yourself on these dark streets. His heart beat heavily as he got closer and closer, until finally he reached his destination...

"――Wow Now I feel kind of stupid for worrying, heh"

Subaru's face was astonished as he peered through the entrance of the loot house. He could see Natsuha(Elsa) sitting upright on a table chair drinking milk, with a look of concentration on her face. But what truly drew his attention was not her posture or expression, but rather the giant figure lying slumped upon the floor behind her -- easily six feet tall and so large that it filled up much of what little space there was in this cramped room. The pale monster seemed to be unconscious, small wounds peppering its body were quite visible even from afar, though they did not appear serious or particularly painful fot him atleast. And finally To his right sat On the table, a girl with golden hair lay slumped back in her chair. She had dirt on her hands and shoes- evidence that she had been up to no good. Her skin was unbroken and free of any signs of violence save for an insignificant bruise that tinged one side of her forehead like a fading sunset. A faint breath stirred from within as if to remind us all that life still lingered beneath its fragile surface, waiting patiently for someone to bring it out into full bloom again.

"This is amazing. Only a few minutes have passed, and here you are, defeating a giant and a girl who can use strange magic in a few seconds. It seems that you are quickly getting used to this new body of yours huh?,."

"Yes...but what a loss that I will only be able to use it at night...one of the downsides of being a being born of total darkness.".

She let out a loud sigh and pouted, her lips pursed like she was trying to hide a bubble of sadness. Subaru chuckled at the sight, the smile in his eyes lighting up as he gazed upon her face. "Come on now," he said softly as if to remind himself more than her that it wasn't really so bad. She slowly started to relax and finally returned his teasing gesture with an embarrassed grin before looking away again shyly.

"Come on, lock the door and go in now... You are hungry, right? So let me prepare you some food and drink, for now I will be your waiter".

Natsuah(Elsa) turned to Subaru, a flush of pleasure on her cheeks gone her shyness from before. Her gaze was direct and unashamed as she beckoned for him to take a seat. He complied with alacrity, his stomach rumbling hungrily at the promise of food in the air as he did so – an involuntary noise that made her chuckle softly. The sound provoked an answering smile from him despite himself, it seemed impossible not to laugh with such delightful company as her a trait she and Riful shares.

"Well, sit there and wait while I bring you food...it won't take much time" She said behind the counter now, making Subaru smile at her enthusiasm.

"Anything made by your own hands is an indispensable pleasure, Natsuha"

"Fufuf you and your sweet words Okay..now I'm going to start so shut it for now and let me focus"

"Yes yes mam ."

Though he spoke these words with an easy smile, it was quickly wiped from his face as the weight of his dark intuition settled upon him. It had become half what it was before – barely a spark left in its wake – but even so, the cold hand of death seemed to draw ever closer. He wished to know who sought him out and presented a real danger, not just one conjured up by fear and wild imaginings.

――But I won't give up, not now, not ever, he thought. He knew he had to react before the cold hand of death was upon him, and so he began to formulate a plan. He drew up lists of potential enemies, mapped out strategies for escape, and researched anything in his head that might give him an edge over his unknown adversary. He was determined not to allow fear to overtake him instead he would be ready to meet the challenge when since he n-!!

"The food is ready, time to eat~"

Taking him out of his dark and deep thoughts, Narsuha's(Elsa) beautiful voice rang out like a melody, punctuated with the clatter of pots and pans that she had set aside after preparing the meal. She stepped into view in a cloud of flavoursome steam, her hands free from any more tasks as she announced that their repast was ready for them to partake. Like tendrils of music reaching towards him through his solitary musings, her voice filled every corner with its alluring tones, he felt himself being called away from within himself to join in the feasting that awaited them both.

"This was too fast, Natsuha... let me guess one of the positives of a superhuman body?"

"Yes and no, well you are right. Her supernatural body allowed me to prepare food quickly... but because these people do not have many ingredients to prepare food... so I hope you like what I prepared, even if it is modest." she said shyly as Subaru only smiled gently.

"Don't worry, as I told you before, everything that comes from your hands is like ghee and honey. I am excited to taste the food you made for me... so bring it on love"

Natsuha(Elsa) regained her composure as she heard the beautiful words Emerging from Subaru's mouth about her food, before he even tasted it. With lightning speed, she disappeared behind the counter and re-emerged, tray in hand bearing delectable dishes, pieces of bread baked to golden perfection nestled together on one platter, while a smoked bird was poised atop another. A plate of soup completed this spread with alluring aromas that whet Subaru's ravenous appetite.

"Come on, put the tray in front of me. I'm very hungry now. Come on" He said in a slightly loud voice, to Natsuha(Elsa) who started giggling at what she saw of Subaru's ridiculous behavior, which she loved.

Natsuha(Elsa) paused, tray in hand, a few steps away from the table. A loud knock on the door broke through the silence like thunder and startled her. Subaru too tensed slightly at the sound before narrowing his eyes towards the door as if expecting something sinister to be lurking behind it. The tension was palpable in their postures as they faced off against an unknown intruder.

"Go and hide the girl and the giant somewhere, then come back here and hide somewhere in the shadows to be prepared... I will check the door."

He stood with a serious expression on his face, looking at Natsuha(Elsa). She nodded her agreement and placed the tray on the table before turning to execute the task assigned to her.

――Well it's time to see who's bold enough to interrupt Natsuha and I's well-deserved meal, he thought as he with irritation, he began to take a few steps towards the door when he spun around, quickly checking for any sign of either the giant or the girl that had been in there moments before. His eyes flickered over Natsuha(Elsa) who was still standing by her station watching him expectantly. Relief and pride surged through Subaru as he noted that she had done exactly as instructed, there was not one speck of evidence that the giant and the little girl were ever here present within this room. With newfound conviction, he grabbed hold of the brass doorknob with both hands and yanked it open, ready to face whatever may lie ahead outside.

"Thank goodness you're here… You're not getting awa-... YOU! what are you doing here of all the places!!?."

Subaru opened the door and saw the silver-haired girl from before, standing in the hallway with surprise on her face. She had a frown of displeasure, as if she hadn't expected to see him again. Her lips were pursed together tightly and her brow was furrowed slightly as she looked up at him in confusion. Without saying anything else, Subaru took a step back so that he could invite her inside without any words being necessary..

"Umm――!"

Seeing him motioning for her to enter, she hesitated still. Then suddenly a small gray cat appeared before Subaru's face, narrowing his eyes at him as if threateningly. Subaru just smiled back in response with a sharp but playful stare in return. The two stared at each other for what seemed like days within the span of seconds - until.

"What a game you are playing boy?, you clearly have no intention of harming my daughter, so what's your point in inviting us inside?"

The cat broke the heavy silence, his voice calm but still full of threat. Subaru matched the cat's gaze with a playful smile and slowly turned to look at the silver-haired girl standing before him. His eyes glittered in pleasure, he was certainly not intimidated by the presence of the cat or even her . He grinned widely, enjoying this new turn of events.

"You want something that you lost, right? Well, lucky for you, I own the Insignia...and before you accuse me of stealing it from you, let me tell you that I have exhausted myself all day tracking down the thief girl until I found it and took it from her, so would you please come in? I promise no one here is gonna hurt you".

Upon hearing that Subaru had her Insignia, she suddenly turned towards her gray small cat that was floating beside her as if to consult with him. He paused for a moment and then inclined his head ever so slightly in a nod of agreement. His eyes seemed to shimmer in the dim light.

"Don't worry lia, even though the boy is suspicious and seems dangerous and up to no good, he is telling the truth, so you can do what he said, but still you should be careful."

"Okay Puck I'll trust your decision."

The floating grey cat said in a soft, calming tone to the silver-haired girl, who appeared to make up her mind at last. Subaru's smile flickered with triumph as he watched them interact and saw that his words had been convincing enough for her. He felt relieved.

But suddenly Subaru, felt a strange sense of familiarity towards the silver-haired girl as he watched her. She seemed to have an almost equal dependence on the gray cat for decision making, seemingly just like Subaru's dependency on Natsuha. He lost any desire to hert her and instead, found himself wanting to be friends with her - an inclination he quickly suppressed in favor of continuing their mission. Taking one last deep breath, Subaru turned away from them and started walking inside.

"Come on, come in here, I don't want to spend more time than I already have in this dirty place".

Her silver-white hair that fell in soft waves to her shoulders. Her pale, delicate features seemed almost to glow in the light as she nodded her head slowly and solemnly. Then, with one last moment of hesitation, she stepped through the doorway--the threshold--and closed it firmly behind her.

"Come on, please sit down"

He beckoned with a nod, motioning her towards one of the chairs in front of him. His voice was low and gentle as he told her to sit on the chair by his side. He folded his hands atop one another and leaned forward in concentration as but instead of taking the seat besid him.

"Please Subaru, I reeeeeally need that Insignia, if I lose it I don't know what I'll do anymore, so please would you just give it to me ?"

Subaru smiled arrogantly as he listened to their words, but then his expression changed abruptly. Something about the conversation had stirred a thought in him, and it made him uneasy it was something that cut through his pride like a blade. His brow furrowed, and so.

"You called me Subaru, you know my name but I don't know yours, isn't that wrong? So let's make it right, and let's start by you introducing yourself to me, tell me your name and if you don't tell me... then just kiss your insignia goodbye, how about that ?."

Hearing his request, she hesitated slightly. Her little cat on her shoulder seemed to give a nod of agreement, but yet, there was a momentary pause as she considered her choice. Finally, resolute in her decision-making process, the girl looked Subaru right in the eye and spoke with an unmistakable confidence, she had made up her mind.

"my name is Emilia just Emilia nice to meet you"

"And I'm Natsuki Subaru, you already know my name, but there's no harm in saying it again".

Emilia reached out her hand and Subaru took it with a big smile, his red-blackish eyes crinkling at the corners. She felt the strong confidence in his grip as their hands connected briefly before they both released again. His smile widened at her as he nodded graciously in acknowledgement.

――Although this boy is dangerous and eccentric, he is different from the general public in the way he treats my daughter, which made me have some admiration for him, thought the cat on the girl shoulder while staring at the subaru.

"I already know your name so i really don't care" Subaru crossed his arms and shot Puck a scathing look, making him puff out his cheeks.

"Looks like our job is done now you can go". But before Puck could say anything, Subaru turned his face toward Emilia and said.

"What do you mean I have to go then what about my ins――!?"

Emilia had just opened her mouth to say something when she felt something small and metallic in the palm of her hand. She looked down, and with a gasp saw that it was her Insignia glowing – the very same one she'd been searching for earlier. In confusion she glanced up at Subaru, his eyes seemed unreadable as always, save for a hint of amusement lurking in them. She realized he must have planted it there during their handshake – a subtle gesture conveying what words could not express between two strangers who barely knew each other yet could already sense an indefinable connection between them.

"Stop looking at me like that, and just hurry up and go, I have a lot to do".

Subaru furrowed his brows, and shook his head subtly. He then turned away from them, to face away from them. Puck and Emilia looked at each other with a knowing look in their eyes – something like admiration or relief. Emilia gave him one final nod of her head as an indication of thanks, it was small yet polite gesture that spoke volumes about her appreciation for Subaru's help.

"I am indebted to you, Subaru. If we meet again, I will definitely return this favor exponentially, so thank you".

"Me too, Subaru iam the great spirit of fire iam indebted to you, so if you need anything just let me know okay?."

Subaru was still facing away from them, and leting his silence speak . Emilia could sense his approval, so she gave a polite bow and started to walk towards the door. Just as she reached for it, Subaru uttered a call.

"puck you will stay because I want to talk to you a little about something important"

Surprising the two of them, he said aloud, Subaru really doesn't know what's wrong with him - but Emilia seems like such a good and innocent girl. And knowing that someone she live with is plotting to kill her without ever getting a chance to warn her... it makes him so angry his fists balled at his sides and his jaw clenched tightly. He shook himself out of it and looked back at them.
