"The Queen didn't seem to understand what you meant by demon." Sheppard commented as they moved thru the ship. "Did you scent anything different?"

"No." Xander answered. "She simply didn't care. But that conversation proved the Ancients did. Regardless of what they meant by their word for the creatures, our Latin comes from them. The Latin word for dimension is dimensio, the Latin word for demon is daemonium. The Ancients called those creatures daemona. We call them demons. They knew. And they abandoned us to clean up their messes. Teaching our ancestors how to make Protectors and making sure the Ori didn't know we existed, seem to be the sole exceptions. I'd dearly love an explanation, but I'm afraid we aren't going to get one. I also, can't help wondering, they had an Alliance at one time with Asguard, the Nox and the Furlings. Was that Alliance to deal with those creatures or something else? And if it was, why didn't the Asguard tell us? Sam went over the Asguard Core with a fine tooth comb, she found no mention of any of this. The Asguard said, it was the sum total of all their knowledge. But those are questions for later. Right now, we need to concentrate on getting out of here. You've been on a Wraith ship before. Options?" Xander asked.

"The dart bay. I can fly one. I'll need to dematerialize you all to get us out, but it's worked before." Sheppard answered.

Xander could scent his Pack and Faith's displeasure. Unlike Ancient tech that was fun to experience, Wraith tech made them uncomfortable. He didn't blame them, it made him uncomfortable too. But Sheppard had experience and had done this before. They'd have to deal.

"Fine. Lead the way."

McKay had a scanner out and was scanning. Finally, something he could do.

"That way." He said, pointing down the left hand corridor.

With Sheppard and Xander in the front, McKay tucked in the middle between Teyla and Ronan and the Pack and Faith watching their backs, they made their way to the dart bay. They ran into individual Wraith along the way and killed them. Xander sword being quicker and much quieter then a P90, was able to decapitate them easily. Finally they reached the dart bay. It was guarded. By several Wraith.

"We need a way in. A quiet one. That many Wraith out in the open, means one could sound an alarm. Does your scanner show any way around McKay?" Xander asked.

"No. They may have maintenance tunnels of their own, but my scanner isn't that detailed."

"Can you get into their computer, McKay?" Kyle asked. "Maybe you could sound an alarm somewhere else. That might draw some of them away. Give us a better chance."

"That's a good idea. See if you can do it, McKay." Sheppard ordered.

McKay nodded and opened an access panel and began working on getting into the Wraith ship's system. Everyone reminded alert. The Pack scenting occasionally.

It took awhile, but finally McKay said. "Got it. Be ready." And they distantly could hear an alarm sound. The Wraith in the dart bay could too. One of them motioned to three of the others and indicated a follow me gesture. Once they were in the corridor, the Pack and Faith attacked, their silent bladed weapons making quick work of them. Once they were all dead, the group moved into the dart bay, blitz attacking the rest of the Wraith. Fortunately, it worked. They managed to kill all of the remaining ones before any of them could sound an alarm. Things seemed to be going well, but as the Jack O'Neill of another reality said, 'Murphy, the damned imp, followed them around'. Just as Sheppard climbed into the dart another, much more strident alarm sounded.

"Damn, I was afraid of that. Things were going too easy. They must have found the Queen. Brace yourselves, this'll be fast." As he settled into the dart and closed the hatch. He started it up and took off. He passed over the group and scooped them up, making for the dart bay door, he sent the command for it to open and flew thru. The Wraith knew through, and began firing on them. A dart couldn't make a hyperspace window, so Sheppard headed for the nearest planet. There wasn't time to land as the Wraith kept firing even from orbit. Sheppard used the controls in the dart to activate the Stargate for an uninhabited planet on the other side of he galaxy. After all, they couldn't fly into Atlantis' gate room. Just as the dart entered the event horizon, an energy beam fired from the Wraith ship hit the Stargate, sending a surge of power thru it. As has been seen in the past, a surge of wild power to the Stargate can make it behave in ways it's not programmed to act. Such a surge sent SG 1 to both the past and the future. This time, this surge would do something it normally required a Supergate to do. It sent the dart to another galaxy all together. The Andromeda Galaxy to exact. And as they were to find out, the Ancients had been here. It was after all, the home galaxy of an friend of theirs.
