One morning, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and the other students were in Professor Snape's class. The students were waiting to see their test results. Harry and Hermione did a lot of studying before the test, but Ron didn't do any studying. Despite that, Ron seemed calmer and more confident than most of the other students.

Professor Snape looked at his students, while having a grumpy expression on his face. He sighed and said, "You're probably still cowering in fear over yesterday's test."

Ron replied, "I'm not scared. Unlike Harry, I'm a brave, confident guy."

Professor Snape scowled at Ron and said, "Don't talk."

Ron replied, "If that's what you want, but you'll miss the sound of my awesome voice." Hermione rolled her eyes.

Professor Snape said, "Believe it or not, not all of you failed my test. However, that doesn't mean that any of you should stop worrying and start celebrating. None of you are perfect. Believe me when I tell you that your flaws are more visible to me than anything else about you."

Ron looked very smug when Professor Snape walked up to his desk, because he was convinced that he got a great grade. However, he looked down at his test and realized that he failed. He had a confused look on his face, while asking, "How come I didn't get a good grade?"

Professor Snape angrily replied, "It's probably because you don't study. In all the years that you've been in this classroom, I've never seen you study!"

Ron folded his arms, while saying, "Studying's a waste of time."

Professor Snape replied, "You're hopeless."

Hermione tried to avoid getting nervous when she saw Professor Snape approaching her desk. She said, "I hope that my grade wasn't too bad."

A light smile came upon Professor Snape's face, while saying, "You aced another test. You continue to prove that you're one of the smartest students that I've ever had."

Hermione smiled back and replied, "Thank you."

Harry started sweating when he saw Professor Snape walking up to him. He said, "I hope that I did a slightly better job than Ron."

Professor Snape angrily sighed, while looking at Harry and saying, "There's something that I need to tell you, Mr. Potter."

Hermione saw sweat coming down Harry's face, so she held Harry's hand, while whispering, "It's going to be okay."

Harry whispered back, "Snape might be so mad at me that he'll blast me with his wand."

Professor Snape overheard the whispers, so he said, "Despite my previous temptations, I won't be blasting any students."

Harry breathed a sigh of relief and said, "That's great to hear. So, what do you need to tell me?"

Professor Snape looked embarrassed, while saying, "I can't believe that I have to say this, but I'm proud of you."

Harry wasn't used to Professor Snape being proud of him, so he looked shocked. He lightly smiled and said, "You can't be serious."

Professor Snape replied, "I'm afraid that I am. In the past, you haven't exactly been the best of students. In fact, you used to be one of my least favorite students."

Harry looked offended, while saying, "I assumed that was the case, but I can't believe that you'd actually say that."

Professor Snape said, "Anyways, you actually did a great job on the test. In fact, you got the best grade."

Harry raised his eyebrows, while replying, "That can't be true. I'm nowhere near as smart as Hermione."

Professor Snape responded, "That's an undeniable fact. However, you managed to be the one student that correctly answered every question on the test."

Harry said, "That's impossible!"

Professor Snape replied, "It should be, but it's not. Even though you are far from being someone that I respect, I have to admit that a tiny part of me is impressed by you."

Harry said, "Thank you."

Professor Snape replied, "You're welcome."

After class was over, Hermione and the other students started heading out of class. Hermione saw Harry roaming around the hallway, so she quickly walked up to him. Ron wanted to listen to Hermione and Harry's gossip, so he started hiding in the corner of the hallway. Hermione smiled at Harry, while saying, "I'm so proud of you. Do you feel proud?"

Harry put his hand on his chin, while replying, "I feel confused. How could I get a perfect score on the test? I'm not that smart. If anybody should be getting a perfect score, it should be you."

Hermione said, "I only incorrectly answered one question."

Harry said, "That's awfully impressive."

Hermione replied, "I suppose so, but you got the best grade of all."

Harry said, "When you look back and think about how many tests that I got an average grade on, I'm not worth being proud of."

Hermione shook her head and replied, "Don't talk like that. I'm really proud of you."

Harry said, "Well, I'm just glad that Professor Snape wasn't furious with me."

Hermione replied, "If anything, he seemed proud of you."

Harry said, "Pride is not something that Professor Snape has much of."

Hermione replied, "Despite that, he's very proud of you, as am I. In fact, I'm so proud of you that I could kiss you." Ron gasped.

Harry looked amused, while saying, "There's no way that you're being serious about that."

Hermione smirked and replied, "Oh, yeah?" She started leaning closer to Harry's face. She was going to give him a little kiss on the cheek. However, she ended up kissing Harry's lips. Ron angrily left the hallway.

Harry said, "Wow, you really did kiss me."

Hermione quickly stepped back and said, "I'm sorry about that. I wasn't trying to kiss your lips."

Harry asked, "Are you sure about that?"

Hermione said, "I was just going to give you a kiss on the cheek! I wasn't trying to be weird or anything."

Harry replied, "It was kind of weird."

Hermione blushed with embarrassment, while saying, "I'm sorry."

Harry said, "But I liked it."

Hermione looked back at Harry, while asking, "Did you really like it?"

Harry said, "It was a lovely, if awkward, moment. However, it's a moment that we should keep to ourselves."

Hermione continued looking embarrassed, while saying, "I can't believe that I did that. That was such a mistake."

Harry replied, "You shouldn't feel bad. It was a nice moment. However, if anybody knew about the kiss, they might jump to untrue conclusions about us. We don't want that to happen."

Hermione responded, "I suppose that's true."

Meanwhile, Ron angrily stormed into the room that he and Harry shared. He was so upset that he threw his backpack across the room, while saying, "I can't believe that Harry let Hermione kiss him! My best friend let my crush kiss him. He can't get away with this. He needs to be punished." Ron pulled out his wand and pointed it at Harry's bed. After blowing up Harry's bed, Ron smiled. However, he was still upset, so he started messing around with Harry's stuff. He grabbed Harry's books and started tearing them to shreds. Afterwards, he grabbed a handful of Harry's belongings and threw them out the window.

A few minutes later, Harry looked at Hermione and said, "I should go catch up with Ron. I'll see you at tomorrow's class."

Hermione replied, "Okay, Harry. Don't forget that I'm still proud of you." She gave Harry a quick kiss on the cheek.

Harry asked, "Wasn't one kiss enough?"

Hermione explained, "That was the kiss that I was supposed to give you. The lips kiss was an accident."

Harry said, "The accidental one was almost better than the one that I was supposed to get." He blushed and said, "I shouldn't have said that. I didn't mean that." He paused and "Technically, I did mean that, but I regret admitting it." Harry was so embarrassed that he started running away.

Hermione had an amused expression on her face, while whispering, "I preferred the accidental kiss, too."

A short time later, Harry walked to his room. As soon as he got inside, Ron picked him up and threw him across the room. Harry raised his eyebrows and angrily asked, "What's your problem?"

Ron pointed his wand at Harry, while saying, "You're the one that has problems! You kissed Hermione!" He paused and said, "Actually, she kissed you, but you didn't do anything to prevent it. In fact, you seemed to enjoy it."

Harry said, "Hermione didn't mean to kiss my lips. She was reaching for my cheek, but she made a miscalculation."

Ron replied, "My miscalculation was trusting you. You were my best friend. You know that I have feelings for Hermione."

Harry started feeling guilty, while saying, "I'm sorry for what happened. Hermione and I were both acting awkward and weird. It was a simple mistake."

Ron replied, "It was a simple mistake! I used to defend you from Professor Snape, but he was right about you. You aren't worth trusting or respecting. You're a lousy friend."

Harry looked around and noticed that his bed was blown to bits. He also started noticing that a lot of his stuff was gone, so he asked, "What's going on? Was there an accident?"

Ron said, "You are the one that has been causing accidents. You don't deserve to sleep in his room. That's why I'm going to get you a new bedroom."

Harry asked, "What are you talking about?"

Ron started using his wand to blast Harry, while saying, "Prepare to pass out, Mr. Potter." Ron blasted Harry so hard that Harry fell to the ground and passed out. Ron grabbed some rope and started tying Harry up. After doing that, he started dragging Harry out of the room. He dragged Harry to the janitor's closet and threw him inside. He had a sinister smile on his face, while saying, "The janitor's closet is your new home, Mr. Potter."

The next morning, Hermione walked to class early, because she was hoping that she'd get a chance to talk to Harry. However, Harry wasn't there. Hermione went into Professor Snape's classroom and patiently waited for Harry to appear.

A few minutes after class started, Professor Snape looked around the classroom and noticed that Harry was absent. He looked disappointed, while saying, "Harry did so well at the test. I was surprised, but him being late is hardly surprising. It further proves that he's a hard student to trust."

Hermione had a concerned look on her face, while saying, "I hope that Harry's okay." She looked at Ron, while asking, "Is Harry sick?"

Ron said, "He's not sick. Last night, he didn't even bother coming home. He was probably too busy partying."

Professor Snape glanced at Ron's desk and noticed that Ron had a bowl of cookies and a jar of hot sauce on his desk. Professor Snape folded his arms and asked, "What are you doing?"

Ron said, "I'm going to eat cookies that have been dipped in hot sauce. Hot sauce is a dangerous thing. However, I'm a hot guy, so I don't have much to worry about." Ron accidentally knocked the jar of hot sauce to the ground. Hot sauce dripped across the floor.

Professor Snape angrily said, "You ruined my eloquent floor! This mess needs to be cleaned up."

Ron stood up and said, "I'll get a broom from the janitor's closet."

Professor Snape replied, "You need to stay in class, so I can keep an eye on you."

Hermione stood up and said, "I'll get the broom."

Hermione walked out of the classroom and went to the janitor's closet. She opened it up and saw that Harry was tied up. She looked scared and confused, while asking, "What's going on?" She quickly untied Harry and asked, "Are you okay?"

Harry said, "Well, I had an awful night."

Hermione asked, "What happened to you?"

Harry explained, "Ron found out about your kiss. He was so upset that he beat me up and threw me into the janitor's closet."

Hermione replied, "I can't believe that Ron would do that."

Ron, who had snuck out of class, walked up to Harry and Hermione. He looked at Hermione, while saying, "I want you to know that I forgive you."

Hermione had an offended expression on her face, while replying, "Excuse me?"

Ron said, "What you did was pretty cruddy, but I'm not mad at you. Instead, my anger is directed towards Harry. He's a bad friend that deserves to receive further punishment."

Hermione angrily replied, "If anybody deserves to be punished, it's you."

Ron defensively responded, "I didn't do anything wrong." Hermione rolled his eyes.

Harry said, "Ron, I'm really sorry about what happened, but you need to let this go. You've taken things too far."

Ron pushed Harry to the ground and replied, "Actually, I haven't taken things far enough. Even Professor Snape has been acting too soft around you. You deserve to suffer."

Professor Snape angrily stormed up to Ron, while asking, "What's going on?"

Ron put his hand on his own heart, while saying, "In this scenario, I'm the only one that's innocent. You should get ready to start throwing out detentions towards Harry."

Professor Snape said, "Ron, you're already guilty of ruining my floor and sneaking out of class. You better not be guilty of anything else."

Hermione replied, "He's guilty of far more." She pointed at Ron, while saying, "He's the real reason why Harry wasn't at class. He attacked Harry with his wand and tied him up in the broom closet."

Professor Snape didn't have a very high opinion of Ron, but even he looked surprised that Ron would act that way. He looked down at Harry, while asking, "Is this true?"

Harry said, "I'm afraid it is. Hermione gave me a little kiss. That little moment gave Ron a huge amount of anger."

Ron said, "My anger was justified. Harry's my best friend and Hermione's my crush, so they should never be allowed to kiss."

Professor Snape said, "Despite how unappealing Harry might be, it's not my place to judge. What I can judge is your behavior, Mr. Weasley. For what you did, you're getting detentions for the rest of the month. Also, you're going to sweep every room in Hogwarts."

Ron replied, "That's not fair. I didn't do anything wrong."

Professor Snape handed Ron a broom and said, "Go to my classroom and start cleaning up your disgusting mess."

Ron sighed and replied, "Fine." Ron angrily started heading back to class.

Professor Snape looked at Harry, while asking, "Are you alright?"

Harry said, "I had to sleep in a janitor's closet, so I might need time to recover."

Professor Snape replied, "I suppose that's true. You and Hermione can take the rest of the day off."

Hermione responded, "Thank you."

Professor Snape helped Harry get up, while saying, "For what it's worth, I'm glad that you're okay."

Harry replied, "I appreciate it."

After Professor Snape walked away, Hermione looked at Harry and said, "I'm so sorry for what happened to you."

Harry replied, "Well, it's over."

Hermione said, "That's true, but I still feel bad." She paused and said, "You know what? If you want, you can give me a kiss."

Harry replied, "I suppose a kiss on the cheek would be nice."

Hermione smiled and said, "I'm not talking about a cheek kiss." She and Harry leaned in for a kiss on the lips.

After the kiss was over, Harry blushed and said, "I can't believe that we just did that. We better keep this to ourselves."

Hermione replied, "If you insist."

Harry said, "We probably shouldn't kiss each other."

Hermione replied, "But I secretly want to."

Harry responded, "A part of me secretly wants the same thing, but -" Before Harry could finish speaking, Hermione gave him another kiss. Harry smiled at Hermione, while knowing that the future would be full of secrets and kisses.
