Chapter 4 Mayor Humdinger's plan

Wow, I am on a roll, with this story. At 1st, I wasn't sure if this story was gonna be awesome. But as I kept on writing, and got positive reviews, everyone seems to like this so far. Now, remember I promised that I would go back and forth What timelines between 2030 and 2023? Well I kept my promise and I will do it in this Chapter. So, in this next installment of Paw Patrol Paradox of mayhem, We will travel back to the year 2030, Where young Katie and young Ryder are stuck in. when they first arrived back in the first chapter, Ryder was confused on where they were. He tried calling his pups, but no answer. As he then realized that somebody was behind him. As you turned around, he jumped and realized that it was only Katie who was behind him. As they were walking Along the road, Ryder didn't realize that there was a car coming. That's when Katie told Ryder to look out as she pushed him out of the way, to the other side which made them fall on top of each other. Ryder then asked if Katie saved his life which she answered yes she did. That's when she paused and told him "Uh...yeah Come on let's go find some help." As Katie helped him up, And continue it on walking, Katie noticed a sign that read welcome to adventure bay 2030, 17 years Later... And the rest is continuing on.

Chase's POV

"So, Ryder Katie, what's Alex doing in the future?" I wanted to know.

"Oh Alex is doing fantastic, aftwr his granpa Mr. Porter passed away sadly, he over the bakery business." Ryder said.

"Wait a minute, Alex's grandpa Mr. Porter passed away how?" The pups wanted to know the answer so did I.

"He got really sick, at the age of 76." Katie answered with a sad expression on her face.

"We were all sad to see him go, but we helped Alex through it. We decided to go to the cemetery and visit Mr. Porter with Alex everyday, because he didn't wanna go home alone." Ryder said.

"Wait so who took care of him Come after Mr. porter passed away?" Zuma asked.

"Well, before we have Noah, we decided to take Alex in for awhile. Which he was okay with. We still remember when he was only 5 or 6 years old when he was just not listening to his grandpa, or pay attention to anything. But that's when he grew out all that stuff. Alex matured really well. And I think Mr porter would be happy and proud of his own grandson. Because, Katie and I know that he is looking down on us and Alex." Ryder exclaimed.

Flashback Adventure bay hospital...

Katie's POV

"Ryder, Katie I don't have much time...But I want you to watch over Alex, after I'm gone... You know now that I think about you two you guys are like my kids, that I have always wanted. We all keep Alex from danger, now It's your turn to keep him safe by continue with that. Tell Alex I love him so much...Goodbye." Mr. Porter said his final message as he drifted off to heaven, while I held my wife Katie, tight while she was crying on my chest.

That's when Alex came in, And ran to his unresponsive grandpa.

Alex's POV

"Grandpa? Grandpa?" Alex call for him by shaking him multiple times but no luck as Katie pulled Alex away.

"Alex, I'm sorry he's gone." I told the 29 year old adult as he was now crying on both of our chest.

"Is he really gone?" Alex asked.

"Yeah, he's gone I'm sorry buddy." Ryder my husband apologized.

"Do you wanna come stay with us for a few days Alex? Because we know if you go back to the bakery, it's just gonna bring back memories of Mr Porter." I offered.

"I'll come and stay with you guys for a few days. And then I will arrange the funeral for my grandpa. Besides my wife and kids are on vacation I'll call them and tell them the bad news, that way they can get back home on time for the funeral and his burial." Alexa explained as we are smiled.

"Mr. Porter, was a great man." Ryder said.

"Rest in peace grandpa, I will miss you so much your grandson Alex Thorne.

Back To The Future of adventure bay 2030 17 years later...

With Noah, Katie, and Ryder inside the upgraded Lookout...

Noah's POV

"So, you guys need help getting home huh? Well, my team and I can definitely help you with that. But 1st, we need to get in contact with your future selves. Who apparently got transported to the past of 2023. Which is the present day where you guys are from." Chase explained.

"Is there a way we can contact my parents Chase?" I wanted to know.

"I don't know yet, Noah but my team and I will figure it out." Chase told me.

"Young Katie, young Ryder just hang on okay? We'll figure something out." Zuma told the two.

"Thank you guys!" Ryder thanked them.

"Hey Noah, I love what you've done to the lookout it's amazing and so upgraded how did you manage to do this?" Katie asked me.

"Well Katie if you must know you and Ryder are rich, here so I had the privilege to use the money to upgrade the lookout, more since it's the future. I need to be honest I wasn't gonna continue with the older version of technology. That's so like 2010s. But since it's 2030, technology has been more advanced than it was back then." I explained to my younger parents.

"Okay, what do you mean by more advanced?" Rider exclaimed.

"Hey Sarah, open windows please!" I called out.

"Windows opening!" Sarah our hologram said as the windows open revealing Adventure Bay but futuristic version.

Ryder's POV

"Whoa, flying, cars jetpacks, tubes, Adventure Bay has it all!" Ryder said with excitement.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you guys once we bring you right back home you won't remember anything about the future." Noah explained.

"What?" Both Katie and Ryder shouted.

Skye's POV

"What did you guys think, you were gonna keep your memories about this?" Rubble wanted to know.

"We were hoping." Katie answered.

"Look guys, as much as we want you guys to keep your memories about the future, but we can't risk anything. I mean, we would love for you guys to keep your memories and all, but we just can't. Maybe someday we will restore your memories about the future. If the future is ever in trouble that is. And if the future is ever in trouble, I will travel back to 2023 and restore your memories about your adventure you guys had here with us." Noah explained to his younger parents.

"Okay, we understand the rules, of getting our memories wiped about today." Both Ryder and Katie understood about getting their memories wiped about today.

"Thank you for understanding!"Marshall thanked them.

"You are welcome Marshall!" Both Katie and Ryder exclaimed.

"Noah sir, I'm getting a connection on the screen." Chase called out as we own ran over to the screen.

Noah's POV

"What in the world? That's not mommy and daddy. Why, is Humdinger on the screen?" I wanted to know.

Mayor Humdinger's POV

"Hello Noah, and Paw Patrol! I just want to inform you guys that young Katie, and young Ryder aren't going anywhere. Because they will be stuck in the future forever after I become ruler of adventure bay, a long side being supreme mayor! Mwhahahaha!" Mayor Humdinger exclaimed.

"What do you have against me and Katie mayor Humdinger?" Ryder wanted to know.

Katie's POV

"Well I am glad that you asked, because I have teamed up with my younger self from the year 2023 and we are going to destroy all of you. Have you heard of that song from Phineas and Ferb across the second dimension "I found a brand new best friend and it's me?" Well I sing that song with my younger self. Just to let you guys know, my younger self was so off key at the end." Mayor Humdinger explain even more as if on queue, the younger version of our mayor Humdinger from the year 2023 appeared on the screen.

"I was getting into the moment." Our mayor humdinger told his future self.

"Yeah but did you really have to say... coming at you Fridays?" Future mayor Humdinger wanted to know.

"Goodbye you guys!" Noah said as he hung up.

"I don't want to stay in the future forever, I got pups to see back home." Ryder said.

"And I have a Pet parlor to run, Along with giving Cali a bath. Hold up speaking of Cali where is she?" I wanted to know as everyone mines Ryder had their heads down.

"Why does everyone look sad right now? All I asked is where is Cali?" I repeated the question.

"Katie, you don't know what happened to her?" Skye said.

"Something is wrong, where is she? Where's Cali?" I asked again as I was literally about to tear up.

"Katie, Cali your cat, passed away, on the day Ryder proposed to you." Zuma told her.

"No, that can't be true. Noah?" I wanted to know from my future son if it was true or not.

"Yeah, it's true. I'm so sorry that you had to hear this from us." Noah apologized.
