When Qrow was in a bar in the middle of nowhere, he had not expected much to happen. Maybe he'd get drunk and get lucky with some chick, or maybe he'd just start another bar fight, or maybe he was just gonna enjoy some nice booze without a care in the world. What the old Huntsmen did not expect was a damn familiar portal opening up in the middle of the bar. The other patriots didn't expect it too, given their reactions.

"Wait a minute..." Still in a slight drunken stupor, it took a moment to register why the apparent portal looked so familiar. "Raven? What's she want?" Even with the state he was in he couldn't help but find it odd, though they were related Ravens attitude didn't attest to that fact, though her opening this portal here and now was strange. "Eh, what the hell do I gotta lose?" Speaking to himself he took a sip of the remaining alcohol in his glass before approaching the portal.

Stepping through it, a strange sensation engulfed him momentarily and in the next instance his view changed. Now it was filled with what looked like the Renmants of a small forest, only the tree's were burnt black with no leaves and the ground was an open burnt patch. It was like a small meteor fell in the place, though despite the scene before him he was focused on something else.

It was Raven, laying on the ground in a pool of her own blood. A white figure stood near her intent on ending her.

Qrows instincts kicked in and he immediately unsheathed Harbinger, any drunken stupor he was in before was gone as he ran forward. Though had he known he was just attacking a boy no older than his niece he might've chosen a less lethal approach, though that did not seem to matter as his blade appeared to make contact with his target a pain ran through his arms as the blade with his arms shot backward, the force caused him to spin but he controlled the momentum to stop near Raven.

Grabbing his sister by the collar he dragged her away from the opponent carefully.

"Ah?"

Qrow looked up, just for confusion and shock to graze his features as he stared at the assailants face.

"A kid?" He regretted his violent approach but with Raven so badly beaten and on the ground he wasn't thinking clearly, he could just act.

"You another one of her bandit pals?" The boy asked as his expression grew annoyed. "You guys really just come out of nowhere."

"I'm her brother actually." Qrow spoke as he examined the boy before him.

("He can't be that much older than Ruby, and with that hair I'd think he was a Schnee but his eye's don't attest to that. But whoever this kid is he beat Raven this badly, I should try and talk things out.") But with him attacking first and then talking, he did not know how well that would work out.

"Look kid, I know my sister ain't the best of people but killing her won't solve anything. It will be something you regret for the rest of you life, killing ain't something a kid your age should be doing."

"Killing? You seemed fine doing just that to me a moment ago." Accelerator raised an eyebrow at the man who stayed silent for awhile.

"Well let's just say I wasn't in my right mind. Coming off fresh from a pub and seeing your sister bloodied and beaten will do that to you." Qrow spoke as he put his weapon away. "So come one kid, Raven may be a bastard but she has her reasons."

After he finished speaking a brief silence filled the air, though it was soon broken by Accelerator.

"Yeah I get it, can't make your way through the world without cracking a few skulls." He spoke though Qrow didn't find comfort in those words.

"You say you get it, but your eye's are telling a different story." Violent and vicious was his glare, Qrow felt as though it pierced his very being. Those weren't the eye's of a child, no they belonged to a killer and he'd be wise not to push a fight.

"Well your sister and her group cracked more than a few."

("Damn, doesn't look like talking will do. But if this kid's the one who did this to Raven then I can forget fighting him.") He momentarily glanced at Raven and spoke in a low whisper.

"Raven, ya got enough juice in the tank for one more portal?" He asked Raven who was miraculously still conscious despite the blood loss. He saw her head move slightly , and in the next instance something opened behind Qrow like tear through the air. The red illumated portal was manifested and without a second thought Qrow picked up the now uncoincious Raven and jumped backwards with her in his arms, eye's still on the esper who was now much closer.

The boy outstretched his arm, but Qrow with Raven in tow was already halfway through the portal. But something strange took place, the boy suddenly shot forward, he did not run or jump in their direction, no he merely altered the vector of kinetic energy beneath his feet. The result? Him shooting forward with an intense velocity. Just as Qrow and Raven passed through he did as well. His vision became obscured by the intense red light as a strange feeling washed over him. Along with that feeling came the sudden disappearance of the ground beneath his feet.

His vision cleared at the same time he suddenly started falling. The sky was suddenly much closer along with the clouds as he plummeted to the ground.

"Should've figured..." Despite the 'predicament' the esper only mildly looked annoyed. He should've deactivated his reflection upon entering the portal, said portal had bizarrely reacted to his reflection. Hence it sent him so high into the sky rather then with the two siblings. But he had analysed it for the small amount of time he had. It didn't seem to operate with the 14th dimension like a teleportation esper would. Then how did she teleport?

As he fell his mind raced, if she didn't use the 14th dimension then maybe she was connecting something to certain places. Like a link of some sorts, and her portals are more like tunnels connecting them. It was interesting power, but not something he was looking for. But should he let the women go? She still had that strange power that could be a problem. Accelerator let out a sigh as a roaring wind enveloped him, suddenly his body seemed weightless as he descended to the ground. As his feet touched onto the familiar soil he mutterd some word's to himself.

"Either way, I'll be killing that hag...for them atleast..." As those word's passed his lips he glanced around. The overall structure of the tree's kinda looked familiar. They seemed to resemble bald cypress tree's, the kind you'd find in swamps. Or the kind you'd find in Mistral. The esper was back in Mistral.

"I'm going to murder that bitch."

Her body felt numb, yet even so pain was almost too clearly felt. Her stomach stung with an intense pain she didn't even know was possible. She couldn't even move a single finger let alone a limb. The pain struck her too much.

She tried to gather her thoughts, what had happen? How was it that she found herself in such a state? Right she had fought someone. The pale boy with white hair. Raven willed her eye's to open only to wince immediately as an intense white envelope her vision, slowly her eye's adjusted to the environment. She could hazard a guess, it was a hospital room.

The hospital room was an elongated space that seemed to stretch endlessly without any life or energy. The interiors were made of a sickly shade of pale blue that coverd every inch of space from the walls to the floor. The room was dimly lit with fluorescent lights, casting an eerie glow in the entire environment. The walls were bare and sterile, save for a few cabinets and electronic monitors mounted on them. There were a few cabinets that seem to withhold stacks of medical supplies, while the monitors beside her showed her vital signs.

The atmosphere was unnaturally quiet, save for the occasional beeping monitors and murmurs of doctors and nurses as they pass through outside. The only sound that seemed to dominate the room was the mechanical hum of the ventilators. The air in the room felt stale, with a constant smell of antiseptics mixed with the scent of sickness.

"Ah, welcome back to the land of the living." A familiar and annoying voice reached her ear's as she willed herself to glace to the side. There her brother, Qrow comfortably sat on a chair besides her bed. "Damn, ya should've seen the nurse's face when I brought you here, thought one was gonna pass out." He chuckled for awhile before his face settled into a sudden seriousness.

"Look Rave', I dunno what the hell's going on, but I won't pry. And it ain't like you could answer me anyway." Indeed she couldn't, a respirator sat on her face and she could barley even form word's, due to the pain. "But you got your ass handed to you, and I don't know what you did to piss that kid off so much. But doesn't matter I guess."

Having confirmed her health Qrow stood up from his seat and prepared to leave but was stopped promptly stopped.

"...T...Tha-thanks..."

"You can thank me by seeing your daughter once in a while, so go on and stop being a shitty mother." Qrow spoke with a dismissive wave as he exited the hospital room leaving Raven on her lonesome.

She stared up at dull ceiling.

She wondered...why had she lost. Was she truly this weak? Or were thing's simply meant to be this way? Was she supposed to lose? Was it meant to be this way?

She didn't know.

For now she just wanted to rest.

Accelerator was annoyed. It had taken him awhile to get back on track to Vale. Though this time even reducing the gravity around him to make his own body weight lighter did not help. His legs were a bit sore but he kept on moving. Though that wasn't the only thing; he himself was a bit exhausted. He had racked up an impressive endurance from the beatings he received in the past (courtesy of one son of a bitch hero and one piece of shit Amata Kihara) stamina wasn't something he prided himself in.

So yes, the esper was tired, extremely annoyed and in dire need of coffee. It had been so long, he almost forgot what the nectar that was coffee tasted like. Even back home he didn't get a chance to taste it again, with World War 3 raging on and all.

The young esper heaved a small sigh before he took note of some people in the distance. There seemed to be four of them, three girl's and a single boy. One of the girls had a head of bright emerald hair, with sun-kissed skin. Then there was a silver haired boy and an older women, with dark hair wearing a red dress. Finally there was another girl, similarly dark skin as the first one.

(A/N: I ain't gonna go into detail on any characters apperance as I'm sure you all already know what they look like, not to mention it would be a waste of words.)

The four weren't exactly engaged in idle conversation, no instead the green haired girl and silver haired boy were currently holding the other women by her arm's, forcing her to her knees as the one in the red dress approached slowly with something in hand.

Accelerator stared at the scene with a raised brow, now he could go and play hero. But he didn't exactly know why the three are currently doing this to the women, for all he knew that women deserved this. So mindlessly charging in and playing knight would be so idiotic, too idiotic in fact. This simply wasn't his business, so he prepared to ignore everything but...

"Please! Don't!" The women's voice sounded pleading and held no small amount of distress. It was the kind of tone someone had when they were genuinely afraid. She sounded helpless and truly afraid, not like scum who'd deserve this kind of treatment. Accelerator sighed, heavily.

"Bless my heart." He mutterd mockingly to himself as he approached the group. "YO!"

The women in the red dress stopped her strides towards the pinned down women as her amber eye's turned to him with surprise and slight confusion. In that instance Accelerator kicked a pebble that lied at his feet.

The pebble shot out with intense velocity towards a women. She saw it coming towards her and managed to dodge it at the last moment. An intense wind washed over her as it shot passed her face. But as soon as the pebble missed the women, it continued its unstoppable trajectory and hit the nearest tree. The sound of collision echoed on the deserted forest as the pebble went through the trunk.

Her eye's snapped backed to where the boy was, only to find him no longer there. Instead...

"Sup..." The green haired girl snapped her gaze to the side as she suddenly found Accelerator next to her. Before any action could be taken he drove his heel into her stomach, intense pain struck her body as saliva left her mouth. Her aura seemingly did nothing to absorb the blow as she found herself letting go of the women.

The simple kick did more then just smash through her aura though. She got launched to the side, colliding with her silver haired comrade. Same as her the boy lost his grip on the kneeling women as he fell over due to the collision.

"You women, can you move?" Accelerator asked, seemingly ignoring the existence of the three while he stared at the downed women. She wore a painful expression as she shakingly shook her head. Of course, now he had to play nurse maid too. Well no one to blame but himself.

Accelerator turned his attention back to the three just in time to notice the silver haired one rush him with impressive speed. With surprising swiftness he threw a sharp kick at the espers head, the result? His leg shot backwards harshly, due to his odd position whilst he was delivering the kick he quickly lossed balance as the momentum of his own kick reverberated throughout his body.

Taking the opportunity Accelerator tapped his foot on the ground softly. A strange noise rang out as the ground beneath his feet broke into large chunks or rock, as if propelled said chucks of rock shot forward towards the silver haired boy. Not regaining his footing anytime soon he coverd his face with both arm's as the chunks of rock pelted against his body harshly. The force of the onslaught sending him reeling back and skidding on the ground.

Seemingly slightly recovered the green haired girl rushed him next, in her grasp two odly shaped green blades that seemed connected to some guns. The esper lazily swung an arm in her direction, she ducked low as his arm sailed over her. Quickly positioning one of her blades she shoved it forward towards the espers exposed abdomen. Just as he blade seemed to make contact a sharp pain shot through her arm as she lossed her grip on the blade. Despite the pain she managed to back away as she held her right arm in pain. Though it was a short while, she seemed to have regained a small amount of her aura back. Her arm was still most likely fractured, though.

The silver haired boy and green haired girl looked at him seemingly now way more cautiously. Accelerator ignored them however as his eye's turned to the other women who was yet to attack. She looked at him with no small amount of fury and hate. If looks could kill then he'd probably be dead. But her gaze didn't effect him in the least, in fact...

Accelerator gave a long audible yawn.

"Man, is this fight going to get good anytime soon?" He swore he heard her burst a blood vessel.

Everything was not going according to her plan. She almost had her, she was so close. They had defeated the maiden in mere minutes and soon her power would've been her's. The power so essential to her plan's. The power she so desperately needed.

Cinder glared with fury towards the boy that stood infont of the downed maiden. White was the first thing that came to mind, pure white hair, pure white attire and a pale complexion that didn't seem tainted by the sun. Other then his red eye's not much stood out about the boy, he was frail and he didn't look like a fighter. Yet by merely standing still he managed to injure Emerald. And his aura acted strangely.

She assumed he was another of Ozpin's dog's. But she was under the impression that Qrow was to look after Amber not this boy. Mayhap she was misinformed, whatever the case this boy was derailing everything. So she raised her right arm and pointed her palm at the boy.

Suddenly a burst of energy erupted from her fingertips. The energy coalesced into a fierce ball of fire, crackling with intense heat and emitting an orange glow. She hurled the ball of fire towards her opponent with a roar. The ball of fire hurtled through the air, leaving behind a fiery trail as it raced towards its intended target.

Accelerator watched on as the fire raced through the air. In an instance the fireball seemed to reach him, Cinder let out a smirk as it seemed to make contact. The smirk quickly left her face however as the ball of fire raced back towards her, twisting her body out of the way she avoided the fireball as it collided with a tree, leaving a black scorch mark on the trunk. Cinder looked back at the boy in confusion, as did Emerald and Mercury.

The boy in question rubbed his chin thoughtfully before he snapped his fingers as if he realized something.

('Is this his Semblance?") That would be a logical conclusion but she recalled how he broke apart the ground whilst he was battling Mercury. Is his Semblance merely that versatile? She glanced back at the esper who mimicked her, rising his own arm he pointed his right palm at her.

"Fun fact." The boy suddenly spoke again. "The average human body can only withstand heat up to 95F. How about we multiply by 10?" Confusion was soon replaced with shock as she witnessed what the esper was doing.

Just who was this boy?

She couldn't help but ask as an intense flame engulfed all...

A/N: Dunno if I'm having Accelerator act too OOC by saving Amber. Though lemme know. Also is there anything in particular you lot wanted to see in this fic? Let me know.

As long as it corresponds with Accelerator I can make it work. He's not really difficult to write per say but he's an easy character to get wrong. Most assume he's just some edgy murder machine. But I mean Accelerator himself sees killing as wrong. And though he doesn't see himself as a hero he'd still save someone if he could and had the power (especially if it's a loli because then his father instincts kick in.)
