(The next scene is at Bob and Katrina's house, inside the kitchen. Laura is on the stool by the stove mixing batter in a bowl then Katrina moves inside and sees Laura then smiles then goes over to her)

Katrina: Good morning, honey.

(Laura turns to Katrina still mixing the bowl)

Laura: Morning, Mom.

(Katrina looks at the bowl then back over at Laura)

Katrina: What are you making?

Laura: I was trying to make pancakes for you and Dad to have for breakfast.

Katrina: Our favorite but...(giggles) I guess mixing the batter is taking awhile, hmm?

Laura: Yeah. I'm starting to get sore.

Katrina: (Giggles) Here. Let me help you out.

Laura: Thanks, Mom.

(Katrina picks up the bowl and starts mixing then Laura goes over to the table and sits down then Bob moves inside the kitchen then goes over to Laura)

Laura: Morning, Dad.

Bob: Morning, sweetheart.

(Bob kisses the top of Laura's head)

Laura: Dad, guess what I...

(Bob goes over to Katrina)

Bob: Good morning, babe.

Katrina: Good morning.

(Katrina leans over and pecks Bob on the forehead)

Bob: Are those pancakes you're making?

Laura: But Dad, I...

Katrina: Actually, Laura wanted to surprise us by making pancakes all by herself but I decided to help her a little bit.

(Bob turns to Laura)

Bob: That was really nice of you, Laura dear.

Laura: Thanks, Dad.

Bob: But...maybe you should have woken me up so I could help you out and not your Mom.

Laura: I'm sorry.

Bob: (Chuckles) I'm not mad, sweetie, I just want your Mom to start relaxing more often since your baby brother or sister's getting close to being born is all.

Laura: Okay.

(Bob turns back to Katrina)

Bob: Speaking of which...I will take that and finish it up.

(Katrina rolls her eyes and smiles then she gives the bowl over to Bob)

Katrina: I could've handled it fine, sugar.

Bob: I know but I still want you to take it easy, okay?

(Bob looks down at Katrina's belly)

Bob: By the way (to Katrina's belly, cooing) how is Daddy's baby doing?

Katrina: He or she's doing fine. Can you believe there's only 2 months to go before we meet them?

Bob: It's going to be such a beautiful moment when it happens.

(Bob kisses Katrina's belly while Laura watches frowning then Bob goes over to the stool then hops onto it then continues mixing the bowl then Laura goes over to Bob)

Laura: Dad?

(Bob turns to Laura)

Bob: Yes, honey?

Laura: Something's...been going on with me lately.

(Bob hops off the stool then looks at Laura concerned)

Bob: (Worriedly) Are you sick, sweetie?

Laura: No, that's not it. It...

(The bus horn honks outside then Katrina goes over to Laura)

Katrina: How about you tell us all about it after school, okay honey?

(Laura nods)

Laura: Okay, I'll do that.

(Laura 'hugs' Bob then 'hugs' Katrina)

Laura: I...I love you, guys.

Bob: We love you too, sweetheart.

(Laura smiles a little then she goes over to the door then opens it then goes outside then turns and sees Bob kissing Katrina's belly then frowns then closes the door)

Bob: (To Katrina's belly, cooing) You have a great Mom and a loving big sister.

Katrina: Maybe Laura's starting to come around again.

Bob: I hope so. She seems like it.

Katrina: Now about our baby, I've been working on something.

Bob: Oh?

(Katrina turns to the counter then she shows Bob a list of names)

Bob: Baby names?

Katrina: Baby names. I figured now's a good a time as any to start working on that.

(Bob reaches up and pecks Katrina on the cheek)

Bob: Then let's get started.

(The two go into the living room then Katrina sits on the couch then Bob hops onto the couch then lays his head down on Katrina's lap then Katrina gives him the list)

Katrina: Okay. You choose first.

Bob: Alrighty. How about...Matilda?

Katrina: Hmm?

(The next scene is at Bumblyburg Elementary, outside on the playground. Laura is on the swings looking down glumly then Gordon goes over to her)

Gordon: Hey, squirt?

(Laura turns to Gordon)

Laura: (Annoyed) What is it, Gordon?

Gordon: I take it your Daddy or Mommy didn't walk you to bus again, did they? (Cackles)

Laura: No.

Gordon: Busy talking about new sibling, huh?

Laura: No. I just decided to go to the bus by myself. I'm a big kid too, you know.

Gordon: Sure you are...but didn't you also used to be an orphan before your folks adopted ya?

Laura: What does that got to do with anything?

Gordon: Just saying...everything was fine when it was just the three of you, right?

Laura: (Annoyed) And everything's still fine. My Mom and Dad still love me.

Gordon: Oh, is that so? Then why don't they walk you to the bus anymore or pick you up after school and why do you make your own lunch now?

Laura: (Annoyed) Because Mom and Dad are just a little busy planning for my baby brother or sister.

Gordon: Exactly. The baby.

Laura: What do you mean?

Gordon: Now that your folks are having another kid, they're gonna be all they care about now.

(Laura gets off the swing then glares at Gordon)

Laura: (Angrily) No Gordon! You're wrong! I may be adopted but my Mom and Dad love me very, very much! I'm important to them. They won't forget about me.

Gordon: Keep telling yourself that, kid.

(Gordon cackles then hops away then Laura looks down then sighs sadly)

(The next scene is at Bob and Katrina's house, inside the living room. Katrina is pacing around thinking while Bob still has the list of names then he looks up at Katrina)

Bob: Okay. We've got three choices that we like so far.

(Katrina turns to Bob)

Katrina: What do you think of the name Gilbert?

Bob: Sounds more like a name Archie would approve of.

Katrina: Okay...how about Jeremy?

Bob: It's nice-sounding but I think it's more like a middle name.

Katrina: (Sighs) Honey, you already five names on my list if it's a boy.

(Katrina groans then sits down on the couch then Bob looks at her concerned then sits then puts the list down then hops onto the couch then pecks Katrina on the cheek)

Bob: I'm sorry, sweetheart. They really are great names but what if it turns out to be a girl?

(Katrina turns to Bob frowning)

Katrina: Are you saying you wouldn't want a boy?

Bob: No. Of course not. A boy would be wonderful but we do have to consider that 'he' might be a 'she'.

Katrina: Yeah. You're right. (Looks down at her belly) Well, we're gonna find out soon enough.

Bob: And until then, all I'm saying is we might think up girl names too.

(Katrina turns back to Bob)

Katrina: But you really wouldn't mind if it does turn out to be a boy?

(Bob kisses Katrina's cheek)

Bob: I wouldn't mind at all.

Katrina: (Sniffles, sighs) I'm sorry babe, I don't mean to sound cranky. I guess being pregnant is starting to get to me.

Bob: (Softly) Hey. I understand. It's okay. Why don't we take a break and just relax?

(Katrina nods then Bob leans against her belly then Katrina sighs and begins to relax then Bob suddenly gasps then Katrina looks down at him)

Katrina: (Worriedly) What's wrong, honey?

(Bob moves away slightly then looks at Katrina's belly in awe then looks up at her)

Bob: Babe, didn't you feel it?

Katrina: Feel what?

Bob: Wait.

(Bob leans against Katrina's belly then feels it jolt causing Katrina to gasp then look down at Bob surprised)

Katrina: Sweetie, did the baby just...kick?

Bob: (Chuckles) I think so.

Katrina: Try talking to it. Maybe they heard our voices.

(Bob presses closer to Katrina's belly)

Bob: (To Katrina's belly, softly) Hello.

Katrina: (Giggles) Feels like somebody likes hearing their Daddy's voice already.

Bob: (Chuckles) I agree. (To Katrina's belly, softly) Hi. Daddy's right here.

Katrina: I wish Laura wasn't in school right now. She's gonna be overjoyed when she finds out about this.

Bob: I know I already am. (To Katrina's belly, cooing) Daddy loves you. I do.

(Bob kisses Katrina's belly then leans against it while Katrina leans back then looks down at Bob lovingly then looks like she has an idea)

Katrina: Stark.

(Bob looks up at Katrina still against her belly)

Bob: What's that, babe?

Katrina: Stark. We can name him Stark if it's a boy. It means 'strong'. And judging from the way the baby's kicking, it's perfect. (Looks down at her belly) Our strong boy.

Bob: Hmm. Stark. (To Katrina's belly, softly) Stark. Do you like that, honey?

(Bob feels the baby kick then chuckles then kisses Katrina's belly then looks up at her)

Bob: He likes it.

Katrina: (Giggles) 'He'?

Bob: 'He'. Now I definitely know we're having a boy.

Katrina: No doubt?

Bob: No doubt. (Kisses Katrina's belly) Stark.

(Katrina nods)

Katrina: Stark.

(The next scene is inside Archibald and Petunia's house, inside their bedroom. Petunia is laying against her pillow while Archibald is at her belly, learning his head against it then Petunia looks down at Archibald)

Petunia: Is the baby kicking a lot?

(Archibald looks up at Petunia)

Archibald: Yes. (Kisses Petunia's belly then looks down at it) Something tells me we're going to have another son or daughter that loves to keep us running around to catch them.

Petunia: (Giggles) Something you won't ever get tired of.

(Archibald looks up at Petunia smiling)

Archibald: Not ever.

(Archibald looks down at Petunia's belly then kisses it then presses close to it)

Archibald: Sometimes it fascinates me how our child doesn't stop kicking.

Petunia: I agree.

(Archibald looks up at Petunia still against her belly)

Archibald: You do?

Petunia: Uh-huh. I read in one of my pregnancy books that sometimes the baby will take a break and sleep but...it looks like our baby isn't any ordinary baby.

(Archibald nuzzles Petunia's belly)

Archibald: Perhaps they are just more feisty like their Mother.

Petunia: (Giggles) I guess that could be it.

Archibald: And nobody said this part wasn't going to be easy either, right?

Petunia: (Sighs) Affirmative.

(Petunia sighs then leans further against her pillow, a pout on her lips. Archibald looks at her concerned then he moves up to her side then kisses her cheek)

Archibald: The last thing I want is to see you have any pain at all throughout this.

(Petunia turns to Archibald then sighs then smiles then kisses him)

Petunia: It's not that I'm in any pain while they kick that bothers me, Archie. Infact, I think it's still the most beautiful feeling ever. Maybe what is it is is that I didn't think about how being pregnant could also make you very tired.

(Archibald kisses Petunia's forehead)

Archibald: It won't be much longer, darling.

Petunia: (Sighs dramatically) No. The baby's gonna probably be stuck inside me forever.

(Archibald chuckles then kisses Petunia)

Archibald: Keep hanging in there, dear.

(Petunia giggles then kisses Archibald's cheek)

Petunia: I make no promises.

(Archibald lowers down to Petunia's belly then presses close to it then kisses it)

Archibald: (To Petunia's belly, murmuring) Try to slow down a bit for your Mommy, alright little one? Do that for Daddy?

(Archibald kisses Petunia's belly then presses close to it)

Archibald: (To Petunia's belly, softly) We love you.

(Archibald then moves back up to Petunia then she turns to him then he invisibly brushes away a strand of hair away from her eyes then stares at Petunia lovingly)

Archibald: And I love you.

(Petunia chuckles then kisses Archibald then they press their foreheads together)

Petunia: I love you.

(Petunia snuggles against Archibald with her belly nestled against his side then Archibald leans his head on top of Petunia's)

(The next scene is outside Jimmy and Ellen's house, in the front yard. Jimmy is doing some gardening then Ellen goes over to him)

Ellen: How are the flowers doing today, Jimmy sweetie?

Jimmy: Still growing and close to blossoming. They're gonna look fantastic when they're ready.

Ellen: That's good to hear.

(Jimmy sets the water can aside then he turns to Ellen then kisses her then looks down at her belly)

Jimmy: And speaking of growing, how are our babies?

Ellen: (Giggles) It almost feels like they're wrestling in there.

Jimmy: Really?

Ellen: Mmm-hmm. Feel.

(Jimmy moves close to Ellen's belly then he feels the twins kicking over and over against his side causing him to look down at Ellen's belly in surprise)

Jimmy: Wow. It does feel like they're having a match in there. Maybe they're gonna be on the wrestling team when they go to school.

Ellen: Or maybe be in cooking class like their Daddy majored in.

Jimmy: Well, whether they grow up to be future wrestlers or chefs, their Daddy will be proud of them.

Ellen: And so will their mom.

(Jimmy kisses Ellen's cheek)

Jimmy: And so will their Mom, Cupcake.

(Jimmy then frowns in concern)

Jimmy: You shouldn't be standing out in the sun too long, babe.

Ellen: I don't mind it, Jimmy. And besides, I need the fresh air.

Jimmy: Tell you what, how about you just sit in the lawn chair and I bring you some lemonade? You should at least stay hydrated.

Ellen: Okay, sweetie.

(Ellen and Jimmy go over to the lawn chair then Ellen hops onto it)

Jimmy: Are you comfortable?

Ellen: Very.

(Jimmy kisses Ellen then he presses close to her belly)

Jimmy: (To Ellen's belly, cooing) Daddy will be back in a few minutes, twinsie-winsies. He just needs to get your Mommy something to drink.

(Jimmy feels Ellen's belly jolt then he moves away slightly then chuckles then rubs his nose against Ellen's belly)

Jimmy: (To Ellen's belly, cooing) I'm not going far babies, don't worry. Are you also hungry, is that the problem? Daddy will give you and your Mommy some cookies too then, would you like that?

(Jimmy kisses Ellen's belly then he looks at Ellen then kisses her cheek)

Jimmy: You just sit back and relax while waiting, okay Cupcake?

Ellen: (Giggles) Hopefully the twins will let me do that.

(Jimmy kisses Ellen)

Jimmy: I'll get you a pillow for your back too, okay?

Ellen: (Giggles) Such chivalry.

Jimmy; For you babe, 'chivalry' is my middle name.

(Jimmy kisses Ellen's cheek then goes back into the house then Ellen leans back against the lawn chair then looks down at her belly)

Ellen: (To her belly) Isn't your Daddy the best?

(The next scene is inside Mr. Nezzer and Esther's house, inside the living room. Esther is sitting on the sofa relaxing then Mr. Nezzer opens the door to the basement then goes over to Esther then she looks up at him)

Esther: Hi.

(Mr. Nezzer kisses Esther)

Mr. Nezzer: Hi yourself.

(Mr. Nezzer then leans towards Esther's belly then kisses it then stands back up then looks at Esther)

Mr. Nezzer: How are you feeling, sweetheart?

Esther: I'm doing alright. (Looks down at her belly) She's being calm right now. (Looks up at Mr. Nezzer) So, what have you been up to in the basement?

Mr. Nezzer: I've been working on something. It's for us and the baby. Do you want to see it?

Esther: I sure do.

(Mr. Nezzer shows Esther a small cardboard tube)

Esther: Oh, it's...it's very cool looking.

(Esther stands up then looks at the tube confusingly then looks up at Mr. Nezzer)

Esther: But what does it do?

Mr. Nezzer: It's something that will allow our little girl to hear our voices.

Esther: (Giggles) She can already hear us, Nebby.

Mr. Nezzer: But I looked online and learned that some decades ago, 80s or 90s give or take, that sometimes one of the parents would make a small tube like this and they'd talk through it so that the baby could recognize who's voice they were hearing, whether it be their Mom or their Dad.

Esther: But what if that's all fake?

Mr. Nezzer: Only one way to find out.

Esther: Got a point there. Won't know until we try. (Kisses Mr. Nezzer's cheek) Okay Nebby, you're on. Let's see if it works.

(Mr. Nezzer kisses Esther)

Mr. Nezzer: Need to roll up your top like you do for your ultrasounds first.

Esther: Okay.

(Mr. Nezzer invisibly rolls up Esther's top enough to expose her swollen belly)

Esther: So...now what?

Mr. Nezzer: All I need to do now is to place the tube against your tummy.

(Esther nods then Mr. Nezzer gently places the tube against Esther's belly)

Esther: Then what happens?

Mr. Nezzer: We just see if the baby responds.

(Esther nods then Mr. Nezzer leans towards the tube then places his mouth against it)

Esther: (Giggles) Nebby, that tickles.

Mr. Nezzer: I know but just relax and try to hold still, sweetheart.

Esther: Got it.

Mr. Nezzer: (To Esther's belly, through the tube) Hello. Hello in there, baby-boo. This is Daddy. Daddy's here. You're gonna be such a cute little baby when you're born. And you're gonna be so spoiled too. You're Daddy's girl, yes, you are. You're our precious gift.

(Esther gasps then she looks down at Mr. Nezzer smiling)

Esther: (Happily) Nebby, she heard you! She does recognize her Daddy's voice! Keep telling her other things.

Mr. Nezzer: Glad to, Essie. (To Esther's belly, through the tube) Do you know you're gonna have a pretty-looking nursery when you arrive? All pink and so many toys...just for you. Daddy and Mommy also enjoy seeing you kick. You're so fast already. And you're also gonna be adored by so many of our friends, they also can't wait to meet you. We can't wait for you to get here, baby girl.

(Mr. Nezzer puts down the tube then he kisses Esther's belly)

Mr. Nezzer: (To Esther's belly, softly) We really can't wait, sweetheart.

(Esther looks down at Mr. Nezzer still against her exposed belly smiling lovingly)
